Graphite theme doesn't work for default setting of alternate colors in the rows of a table. It happened in one of the previous versions and later SAP corrected. Now it pops up again.
Nice app, simple UI. Elegant and easy to view reports. Lacks ability to export/email report data to a file (PDF, Excel, etc.) making it extremely difficult to utilize with a mobile salesforce that primarily utilizes iPads to provide data to customers. Only able to email a screenshot of report. Also, on IPhone X, after enabling Touch ID the app crashes during launch.
This release of MOBI (SAP BusinessObjects Mobile BI - June 2011) secures SAP's position as a top tier of leader in the Mobile BI space. The user interface took a major leap forward over MOBI for RIM. Many people will compare the user experience to that of Roambi, which is deserved, although SAP still has some user-based improvements to make...and I am sure they will in the coming months. For proof of SAP's ability to deliver a full-functioning, solid Mobile BI app, see how robust their their Explorer app is! All that said, the best feature of MOBI isn't its user interface. The best part of this app is how seamlessly it works with SAP's web-based BI tool - Webi. Web-based reports can be "mobile enabled" with incredible ease using MOBI. With this app, you don't have to develop "mobile reports" - you simply mobile-enable your existing reports. This feature makes the time-to-value highly compelling for MOBI vs. other apps. One last thing - my favorite report on MOBI is the "sparkline." Very nifty!
This new version of MOBI for iPad easily extends reports you have already created in BusinessObjects with a simple and visually appeally UI. If you've already invested in BusinessObjects or the RIM version of MOBI, take it one step further and extend what you've built to your iPad users. This version even has some really cool 'microchart' functionality that adds relevant visuals to tabular data.
Good app with a lot of potential. Here is a roadmap to five stars: 1. Will give another star when they fix a bug in the app that won't allow me to select a prompt value containing an ampersand or other special characters. 2. Will give another star when users can organize their mobile reports better. 3. Will give another star when input controls/filters and sections are supported. 4. Will give another stars when an SDK is provided that allows me to invoke mobile reports from a safari based application.
Downloaded this to a brand new 64gb iPad with one other app installed. Opened this up and ran the daily sales report demo which keeps failing saying the app ran out of memory and to close it. I closed it (including from the multitasking menu), opened again, and the other demo report failed. Figured maybe something was up with the iPad and tried on another. Nope, it's just SAP....doesn't work. SAP, it is one thing to be last getting your product out. But its another not to support basic features (landscape) and not thoroughly test it (as well as copy someone elses product).
This has good visualizations for your BO reports on the go. Recent addition of dashboards mobile is fabulous. Has a few shortcomings, hope they'll be fixed in version 5.0
