Simply The Best
I’ve been a member of SCFCU since 1991. This company is one of the most outstanding banking companies in the low country. They offer Savings, Checking, Expense Accounts (to be used for purchases online). Christmas Club, Mortgage loans, auto loans, personal access lines, (in case you overdraft by accident) and credit card. They’re all in one. I’m very happy to be doing business with them. Multi-functionality
If this weren’t for my bank it would be a 3, but since it’s used for the most important facets of our lives dealing with money I give it an extra star. It’s upgraded, but I haven’t used the new upgraded service yet. I am thankful for this app as it has save mine and my wife’s bacon more than once. The only bummer I’ve found to date is that there’s a limited # of transfers each month, but of course I can go to my local office for more. I’d set the limit at 10 if it were me but I guess they like seeing my handsome and rugged good looks more often. 😂 Having lived through the days when life was in B & W, this is a huge difference in our lives. I can pay all the bills, increase my savings and almost everything I could hope to do, especially w/o leaving my recliner. As far as were concerned, all y’all @ SCFCU have got it goin’ on. It ain’t perfect, but it does what I need it to.

Using it for 3 years it great
It's not perfect but I can see my money in real time, transfer funds when needed. Even deposit my check if I'm too busy to stop at the branch. I have never had a problem with it. I'm ok with the extra security features that's what I expect my credit union to do. I see a lot of negative reviews but it's a simple app and functions fine. It doesn't have to be fancy it just needs to be accurate. I have been the next person in line at the store and transferred funds from one checking to another because I left my card in a pocket at home, the money was in the other account instantly and saved myself a lot of embarrassment.

Best Bank! Great but unreliable app…
Ok, so I’ve been really happy with SCFCU and their app for a while. Best bank ever! They constantly upgrade and fix bugs and make things better. But for the past few months, the app randomly will just log me or and back in. It’s not crashing - I’ll just be in the middle of depositing a check or scrolling through balances or any other random thing, and it’ll suddenly jump back to the “logging in” page. Really frustrating when you’ve just gone through all the steps to deposit a check and then have to do it all again. If they will fix that issue, definitely back up to 5 stars!

Poor upgrade
The recent upgrade doesn’t allow me to use my fingerprint, pay bills and it’s extremely slow. Also, it only actually lets me log in about 2 out of 10 tries. Please revert back to the prior program which had no problems.

Need Lecture On Ease of Use
I love my bank, never really had any issues. However, this app is not user friendly. Constantly can’t establish a connection, when you’re obviously on data and/or WiFi, and constantly can’t authorize your login credentials. I can go to the webpage and put my login information in and gain access pretty much any minute of the day, but doing the same thing through the app proves highly frustrating. I usually avoid this app like the plague, in hopes that when I think about downloading it again, that it will work. I feel like 2 years ago it worked much better than now. Let’s get back to the drawing board.

Has its quirks...however
First off, i’d like to point out that i’m an active individual with a busy work life on a weekly paycheck. This app is awesome in the fact that i can make adjustments on the go. At one point in time i had to drop money on some new car tires. It was as easy as popping up the app and transferring some money to checking. It also has made me much more conscious of how much i spend! Having the app does make handling my affairs MUCH easier. And it works 90% of the time.(good percentage if you ask me!)

Always crashing
This app is always crashing or saying they’re unable to validate my information. When I call the bank they always say the app is down right now. It’s really frustrating to have an app that is down every two days when I need to be able to see my account balance to make payments or be able to transfer money within my account. When it is up and working, it’s a really great app and makes everything convenient. I’m just very frustrated with it constantly not working, and getting ahold of anyone at the bank is always a long process.

Was good, but is glitching
I used to like this app but lately it has been having several issues. The check deposit option says I am taking two pictures of the front when one is the front and one is the back. Also, the keyboard has been having issues. I wish the corrections would roll out, but for a banking app it has all the needed features. I honestly just prefer calling to get things done because the employees are so helpful.

The worst
I NEVER leave reviews....this place deserves it. This is the worst bank of all time. Period. I never got the email they said would be sent in 2 business days after trying multiple times. Logging in is impossible. Getting a loan through this organization is the worst decision I've ever made. I've had it for 3 months and still have to jump through hoops to pay my bill by phone and pay an $11 service fee every time. I've never had this difficult of a time paying a bill in my life. Awful. Almost like they want you to fail. Can't wait to refi to Navy Federal

Very good so far
I’ve had my account for about a week and I can say my only complaint so far is that the app is not allow a Face ID option. This isn’t actually anything wrong with the service. It’s just a little inconvenient to have to type in your whole password every single time you want to check your balance.

Useless app that crashes every time I log in
This app is completely broken. It doesn’t work and hasn’t worked for months. When I call customer support, they tell me to re-download the app. When I tell them that doesn’t work they just say “well you can use our online website on the phone.” Well then what is the point in having the app? I’m in the process of switching banks. I suggest you do the same. SC federal’s quality of service has been on the decline for years. This app was just the nail in the coffin for me

If I could give zero stars I would
When they initially created the app I was so excited my bank finally moved into the 21st century. However, I got locked out of my account for having the wrong credentials when in fact they weren't. Two years later I tried again assuming they had some updates to the app. Nope, got locked out of my account again (every time you get locked out you have to call the bank and wait at least 45mins to get unlocked). And yes my credentials were correct every time - I have no problem logging in on a desktop.

Lots of problems
Very frustrating app. Most of the time you can't even log in. A message pops up that says "unable to authorize access at this time." I have been unable to upload a check through the app either. Or it will say the check went through, then a week later say it never went in. I like the quick balance feature, and that you can transfer money between checking and savings but it doesn't really matter when you can't even get into your account the majority of the time.

Too much security
Continually having to enter your password after 30 -60 Days to use your finger print log in is a bunch of irritating crap. I like the staff and the work hard but their IT people have serious issues. No other app I use requires you to re-enter passwords like this. I wish they would stop it.

Manage Card Feature Not Working!!!
Great update, but the manage card feature is not working. When clicking on the option within the app, the app closes out. You have to go to the actual website to manage cards…Please fix within app!!!

The worst!
I have banked with SCFCU for 17 years and I’m sick of them. The customer service is THE WORST. They are not up with times. They literally require multiple apps to manage your account and the cards linked to it. They lack diversity. Trying to disable a lost card was like talking to an institution in the 90s. I tried to stick with them but I’ll be following the rest of my family to other institutions. I am literally disgusted with this bank and will take my business where they know how to talk to people and have modern technology.

App not working since IOS 16.4
App has completely stopped working with the new IOS 16.4 update. I cannot view my bank information unless I am home with access to my PC. Great app otherwise just needs to get fixed so I can use it again.

SCFCU
After living in multiple states and dealing with large banks to local credit unions, these guys are hands down the best. I have made loans with them in under 15 minutes over the phone. These same transactions have taken me 2-3 days with other banks. Can’t say enough good things.

Works for me
I haven't had the issues everyone else is describing. Occasionally I'll have trouble logging in but most of the time it works great. Love the mobile deposit and love being able to check up on all my accounts for my phone

Not The Best
It gets the job done most of the time. But often I'm presented random security questions that I've never seen, also it seems that the apps servers go down most weekends or late at night. Certainly not optimal but again, it gets the job done mostly.

Doesn’t work while connected to WiFi.
App doesn’t work while connected to my home WiFi. When I use cell phone data only it will work. So now I can’t use this app with my WiFi only iPad... Hope this gets fixed soon.

Great, but...
I really appreciate that I can check my balance on my accounts, transfer money, and make deposits all right from my phone. However, the app crashes every time I try to use Touch ID to sign in. It used to work fine, but for some reason it just won’t work now. Would be an awesome app if I could get that part back.

Worked well until the forcing to update to iOS 13
I really enjoyed using this app until they decided to make it unavailable to users who cannot update to iOS 13. Now I cannot use the app on my phone and this has been a huge inconvenience to me. 2 stars unless that can change.

Issues...
I don’t know where the issues come from but this app is very touchy. If I mistype my password once, it locks me out of my account and I have to call and reset my password. I’ve had to do this so many times and it has caused issues because I can’t see my money and pay bills. Once I finish paying off my car loan I will be closing my account with this bank. I didn’t have these issues with BoA.

Awful
This is the most frustrating app/bank to use. I haven’t been able to use this app in MONTHS and everytime I call customer service all they can tell me is to delete and redownload. Even when using their online login in it only works sometimes. Im beyond fed up with South Carolina federal credit union and their “customer service”.

Crashes anytime there is a new update and faceID rarely works
Title says it all. Crashes anytime there is an app update. You have to delete and reinstall. FaceID works, sometime. Mostly it just asks for your password, which is offputting when trying to check balances in public.

Love this app. Only one thing missing
GREAT. Been using the for 2 or 3 years now and can do 99.9% of everything I need to do from anywhere 24 hours a day. THE ONLY THING THAT IS MISSING IS THE LOCK A DEBIT CARD OPTION

Fingerprint sign in doesn’t work
The fingerprint sign in no longer works. I have gone into the app and turned it off and back on. I have turned it off, logged out, logged back in and it still doesn’t work. I click on the fingerprint icon on the login page and it doesn’t do anything. Rather frustrating! Please fix this!

Deposit a check does not work
Taking a picture of a check front and back but the application always errors and says you took 2 pictures of the front of the check. I’ve tried with dark and white backgrounds, I’ve tried with both light and dark lighting conditions. It just doesn’t work.

Crashes
Crashes when I try to use Touch ID. I have to delete and reinstall the app to get it to work. I’m using an iPhone 6s Plus. I’ve had to do this every few weeks or so and it happens at random times sooo annoying.

Logging In
This bank is absolutely terrible. I’ve been trying to log into my account for the past two weeks on the app AND the website and it still won’t let me. What’s the point of having a debit card if i can’t even use it since i don’t know how much money i have in my account? I’m extremely disappointed.

Always something wrong with the login portion
It crashes every other time you try to log in…honestly just makes me want to use my Navy Federal over this one and stop using this one. SC federal isn’t even on most bill helping apps either…just seems to get worse every year.

App doesn’t work correctly
Not sure why you offer mobile check deposit when I take photos of check and app tells me it “doesn’t recognize signature,” or “amount entered doesn’t match picture!” If it didn’t affect my finances, I would say this app is a joke...but it really isn’t funny. Acting more like a for-profit bank everyday.

This bank needs to get with the times. This app is horrible, it goes down more than my ex girlfriend did on strangers. The “Face ID” never works right. The customer service line is always a ridiculous wait, cause the app always having problems.

Needs an update asap
Unable to make transfers in the app. Only able to do so on a web browser. Please look into this. Always seems to forget my Face ID information as well. Not very reliable for a banking app.
