O. K. Replacement App
I read initial reviews about this app just being a copy of SCU web page and refused to download it until I was forced. I was immediately able to use the app and it is a reasonable replacement for the original for me. Is it the best for all banking needs? No , but it is very useable and convenient. Haven’t found features like budget, check ordering, send payments, etc, so a 4 until I find/use extended services.

SCU App Review
Although I’m still getting used to the app, it does have 5 Star promise! I like the credit card part where I can effortlessly view my card purchases anytime I wish! Everything else looks real good! Part II: Still getting used to it, but I like it! Will jot things down for next time! Still FIVE STAR! I conduct most of my banking on my iPhone and at the present time, I have no suggestions. The only concerns I have is security and the scams that take place from time to time. But your in-bank personnel have helped me out considerably! Sometimes you have to have that face to face contact to solve some problems and I am grateful for that. When I do visit SCU, I notice your banking personnel are the best! All that I’ve come in contact with are very polite and personable. It’s a joy to do that “in house” banking, something you don’t get using your iPhone! Part III: Scott Credit Union continues to provide me and my family excellent banking services. I’ve been a member for over forty years after retiring from the military. I have always enjoyed Scott’s friendly service since 1983. Whatever bank you visit, you’ll find the same the same friendly service and greeting upon entering the facility. I would definitely recommend Scott Credit Union to family members and friends!

Wish we could have kept the old app
I really hate the new app. The appearance of it is not appeasing, it looks much like an older style so that’s a personal preference, but as far as functionality, it’s totally awful. You cant see pending transactions anymore. Also, any loans you have with them have two major app faults: 1) you can’t see when your next payment is due (I just refinanced and thankfully I know it happens to be due on the 1st of the month now but otherwise I wouldnt remember the new due date); and 2) you can no longer see the payment amount. Again, new loan and I have no idea what my payment amount is. Now I have to pull out the refi paperwork to see what my new payment is after I already put that all away two months ago. For people who don’t keep track of things and count on glancing at the app, not showing the payment date could get them in a lot of trouble. Just annoying changes that make no sense and why remove them? You don’t want to make things as easy as possible for your customers??

More stuff, Less value
First off let me say you can easily see this app has more banking options than the previous version. I see why they changed it. Now reality... This one does not do a good job showing the account info like the old one. Older people in my family can’t see the smaller numbers. My wife & I had access to our sons Teen Checking through the old app with our account. Now only my wife has access and through a separate login. Seeing the Balance and Available Balance is harder now, even for me. A 70 year old family member has basically stopped using the app now and is considering a different Credit Union. Again, I know they want to add more and make things more “secure” but it seems members mostly are displeased.

Worst place I’ve ever financed with
Since day one, it has been like pulling teeth trying to get an answer or through to them,They sent out no correspondence and yet they charged me and set me up on their insurance which cost $102 a month and they set me up for three months!! Then when I proved I had insurance on my ATV they came up with every excuse not to give me my money back they did not inform me that my auto payment didn’t go through until I was 33 days late just absolutely been horrible from day one I would never ever finance anything else with them ever again we had issues when we got our camper and it got finance through them, so they’ve had two chances and I am going to refinance!!!!

Never has it been so hard to pay my truck loan
Every month I dread paying my truck payment. Not because I don’t have the funds but because the process is so drawn out. I have tired to set up a profile multiple times with my name and DOB and every time it says it can’t find my info so then I have to go through the express pay. That takes forever because it has to connect to my bank, put in bank password, security questions then I’m finally able to pay my loan. I have reached out to customer service and they were not helpful in taking me through the steps to get my profile set up so for now I will just keep going through express pay.

Agree with Everyone Else
I agree with everyone else this is not an app it is just the online banking version pushed through. The old app was far superior as so many others have said. You can no longer see pending transactions, which was nice mostly as a reminder. It also allowed you to know if there was an issue with a transaction immediately instead of waiting until it posts. The other app had a more user friendly interface. I agree with someone else who suggested just using a browser since it is no different. In order to save some space on my phone, I’ll just delete the app and use a browser since it looks and functions the exact same. Very disappointed!

Wonderful
I have been with Scott credit union since 2006 and I have had minimal to no issues with them. I absolutely love the customer service and the call back option. I am thoroughly impressed with Scott credit union all around. They are extremely caring and make every effort to assist in whatever you are calling about. I highly recommend them. Thank you for always making my issues and stress so minor and insignificant.

Functions Well, Not Too User Friendly
App works good. It does everything that I'd like it to- such as mobile deposits for depositing checks at home, I get to view my different account balances & details, and I also get to see my mortgage account. My reason for only 3 stars and my only dislike is that the app isn't exactly user-friendly. What I mean by that is I just wish they would change the appearance of the app so that is more appealing to the eye. Other banking apps that I use are more user friendly and more easily navigable.

Overly sensitive pop-up menu
Overall a well written application, however, the slightest touch on the screen, like scrolling through the check ledger brings up the left side pop-up menu requiring constant removal of the pop-up. Very irritating to constantly having to stop scrolling/looking at the ledger and touching the screen to remove the menu. Not a feature I would have included in a user friendly interface, I speak with ~35 years in IT.

Can change the amount to the principal
Always having problems …can’t change the amount to my mortgage payment… have to call to fix the issue many times….i never had a problem with my other mortgage lenders app . I hope you guys can improve your service I really love Scott credit union but not the app.

SCU App
I am an IT Business Analyst. I design computer software & program for businesses. Your web site is VERY nice compared to what is ‘out there’. It is easy to use & things (for lack of better term, it fits) are easy to find when looking for a banking topic. I rarely say this regarding web sites, but I love your web site! It’s gotten better
I saw all the complaints about the app when it launched. I downloaded it and could see why everyone hated it at the time. Basically just the website in app form but it looked and performed awful, like someone just slapped a browser tab into it and called it a day. Stayed on the old one until they discontinued it. Came back, seems like they cleared up the bad stuff. Still needs a little cleaning up but I’m satisfied

Scott Credit Union is really good
I’ll be honest I really only use it to check my account and stuff of that nature, but it’s honestly REALLY helpful as it’s fast and you don’t need thirty passcodes to find your accounts. I mean that as in you can simply enter one passcode, letters/numbers or just have finger ID enabled. It’s just fantastic and very user friendly for pretty much everyone.

Fictionality, reliability and IT service could be better
It would be nice if you could schedule payments to reoccur on the app. Also the check deposit function does not keep up with the iOS updates. Be prepared to not deposit checks for some time after an update. The help desk is not helpful. When you report an outage they blame your ignorance for why it does not work. Although when you call any branch, they say they have lots if complaints regarding their check deposit function. Yet all these complaints does not improve their in app services.

Options to transfer to another member
I really count on the transfer funds to another member feature as we do a lot of money transfers in this family and SCU has removed this feature what feels like indefinitely. It’s made things difficult to try to transfer to the ppl I need to and calling and waiting so long on hold is extremely time consuming. When I ask when this feature will return no one has an answer. :-(

Scott credit union okay!! I don’t like you charge 5.00 for internal transfers. My other bank doesn’t which makes it easier to transfer money to my son account when needed . It’s a inconvenience to have to come to the bank to withdraw and deposit when you don’t have many locations out there. Stop with all the redundant fees and partner with your customers

New App
The new app has taken some time getting used to. Overall, it’s ok. Nothing is striking my attention as to why it changed. The pending deposit feature should have been an automatic feature. Not only do customers want to see what’s going out of their bank account but also what’s coming in. I appreciate the immediate emails for failed login attempts when I mistyped my password. Would also like the ‘save login’ feature back. It will take time getting used to the new app.

Two and a half weeks to transition?
The new app supports multiple accounts but only just. The old one had a drop down that saved multiple accounts and allowed FaceId to login to the selected account. The new app doesn’t seem to have that feature. Fortunately I was able to configure faceid to unlock one account and passcode to unlock the other. The first announcement I received about the new app was February 18. The old app was deprecated today, March 9th, 2.5 weeks later. That seems a little short.

Old app was much easier!
The new app is very complicated to figure out. It’s near impossible to figure out how to pay bills online, and if you don’t know the exact amount you will be screwed because it no longer shows the exact amount you owe. I am also missing multiple accounts on the new app, and can’t figure out how to recover them or how to locate them. I don’t understand the switch to something so much more hard to function and much more esthetically unpleasing. Sometimes simple is so much better. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it, and this is a great example of that.

Easy
One of the best and easiest app out there! Simple to check balances and real easy to transfer funds along with no charges. Haven’t had to apply for a loan through the app so I can’t comment on that feature. Easy to check fraud alerts and easy to communicate via email through the app. Thanks.

App Review for Scott Credit Union
The SCU app has many nice features on it. I do about 80-90% of my banking Business on their app. It is an improvement over the previous SCU app. My only concern is my app doesn’t always fully open sometimes stopping on the second page and not fully opening to my accounts page.

Switch back to the old app!
This is not an upgrade this is a huge downgrade. My car insurance keeps getting declined so it’s debatable wether or not I’m legally driving. Money gets taken out of my account for a payment and it doesn’t even show me what it’s for. This is a huge inconvenience I’m not sure why this hasn’t been fixed. I’m almost tempted to switch banks which will happen in the near future if this app doesn’t get fixed. Change is a wonderful thing however not when it goes from something amazing to something terrible. For the sake of your banks future please fix the app!

The old app was better...
We’ve been hearing about the rollout of this app for months and when we finally get it, it’s laughably bad. The icing on the cake was that I do not have the option to use the old app anymore and that pending credits no longer show up (since addressed at the time of this review). I love that they listened to initial feedback on the ACH payments but this app is just the website. Give us the functionality of the old app back please. In summary: Lots of room for improvement if we are going to be forced to use this app.

App doesn’t always work
Overall, the app is okay. I am able to view my account information. However , I rated it four stars because most of the time I have to go in my browser to access my account information because app is down for whatever reason. If this was not an issue, I would have given it five stars.

Unnecessary mess bring back old app
This is a kick in the face. Whoever decided to push this “app” must be getting kick backs because it is garbage. They killed the old app which worked perfectly because they knew no one would willing switch to this crap. It’s not even an app it is essentially just the desktop site that you access from this “app” what a joke. You lost all the functionality of the old app which again was perfectly fine . If I could I’d give it zero stars. I guess I’ll just bypass this crap and use the website because refuse to encourage this type of nonsense.

Some features unavailable or difficult to find
I would love to change my address but can’t find a way. You have to really search to find how to transfer, mobile deposit, change nicknames, and get statements but you can’t do many things with them. I do love how it is always available and only down late at night.

Great app, easy to use
This app is one of the easiest, most stable that I use. Easy to see my banking information, make transfers, and get statements. Highly recommend. I can transfer funds, ask questions, open a new account, and more just by using the app. It is one of the easiest-to-use apps that I have.

I wish the app would update on the weekends
The app is a bit out of date, but it does the job of an app for a local bank. One major thing I wish it did was update outside of business hours. Not all transactions made before the weekend will update until Monday during business hours.

“App” Review.
This isn’t an App, it’s simply a browser shortcut to the normal website. An App is a simple, streamlined, user friendly version of the full version (like a website). This doesn’t provide that. You don’t even need this app, just save a shortcut or hyperlink to your account on the normal website and you have the exact same thing. The old version of the app was missing some functionality that would have been nice, but at least it was an app.

It’s time to go back to the old app. Crashing, the layout (FYI it’s just the website copy and pasted), and now I can’t even get to my accounts to do literally anything. I’m honestly considering changing banks because the website is affected to. The old app was great I loved it and apparently everyone else did too. If I wanted to use the website I would just go to the website an app is supposed to streamline and make everything easy. Aside from all the other issues the new app has it got rid of features I loved it the old app. PENDING ACH DEPOSITS IS A HUGE ONE. Please go back.

My experience
Very user friendly and downtimes dont seem to ever get in the way! Staff is helpful but either scott credit union has had a huge rush of customers or maybe hire more staff. Wait times have been Horrible long exceptionally long with no return call . Otherwise be staff is always pleasant and helpful!

Pending is back
You can make as many transfers that you need. You can see pending transactions. The people at the locations are always nice and helpful. I trust my money being in a credit union, more than your standard bank. The hours of operation are perfect. I have nothing bad to say. Absolutely love banking there.

Be Your Own Teller
The online app offers all the tools I need to conduct the transactions that I need. I’ve recently switched to Scott Credit Union from another bank, and I’m pleased that the online app is as complete and easy to use as it is. This saves trips to a facility to conduct simple to more involved transactions.

Hate New Loved Old
I honestly don’t understand making something new when the old was working just fine. Right now I can’t even login in to the app cause either I put in the wrong password which is impossible because I have my login written down or there’s in error. Also called yesterday to help and they said to wait and still can’t get in. I would love to know what my balance is but can’t because I can’t even get in. The old app worked just fine and I didn’t have any problems logging in with the same login I used on the new app.

Still miss old app
Porting the website into an app just isn’t a good experience. Fingerprint login works some of the time. It required me to re-enroll in mobile deposits. Menus and interactions are all optimized for desktop. But if you want to only have one app, it would be better the other way around — optimize for mobile and let the desktop be a bigger version of that. Great bank, great customer service, but mobile users are clearly an afterthought.

Old app was, and is still better
I don’t write reviews, but I’m compelled to write something about this “new” (website in an) app. This new app doesn’t seem as user friendly as the old app did. I was expecting it to be a smooth transition and easier to navigate, but was I wrong. You’re better off signing into your account on the internet browser itself. Sure, it may be convenient to have the app, but you can create a link to the webpage from the internet and put it directly on your phone... which is practically what they did.

Perfectly Done -I continue to ❤️ it!
I was hesitant about the upgrade after reading other reviews; but this app is done well and I like it even more. Intuitive and easy to maneuver. Over a year later and I still love this app! Another year of the new app and still love it!

This update is pointless
The last app before this one worked WAAAYY better than this app. The setup was better. If i transfer money and purchase something right after, it updated perfectly. This new app however IS HORRIBLE. Im trying to pay bills and its not even accurate on what is still left in my checking. And yes, the purchase should've came right off on my account. Please switch back to the other app. I wish i never updated. SCU is going down hill if you ask me. Somethings that work well already do not need to be changed.!

Accounts not updating.
I had a couple charges show yesterday and suddenly they’ve disappeared. Also had some charges finally hit that I used my debit card for days ago. I honestly don’t know the exact amount available in my checking account right now. App has usually been solid for me, but it’s been real inconsistent and buggy the past couple days

Do I like the app?
Don’t particularly like having to login every time I want to use the app. Before all I had to do was use my password. Now I have to use my id and password. Would not be bad if I logged in every day but now I have to remember what my id is and sometimes it will be weeks between logins. So I am not really happy with the new app. Not liking this stupid nickname thing either. Just so you know!

Great app but need improvements
I appreciate how transparent the app is when it displays the balance and where funds go. However, the app would be better if it showed clients to put their own special notes on what purpose a deposit or withdrawal is for to serve as a reminder and have a closer eye on where money goes

Removed Conveniences…
I’m disappointed I can no longer transfer funds to my daughter (who also has an scu account) with ease. I really liked having the ability to do so. I also miss having the ability to see my cancelled checks in the app. Other than those two no longer (removed) existing options I sincerely enjoy the convenience of the app.

App is easy to use and has a lot of information available on it. The layout is fairly intuitive given the large amount of information available. It’s nice that all my accounts loans are easy to see at a single glance.

Not as good as the old app
I’m not really sure why they are pushing everybody to this “updated” app, but the old app was far superior. It was a proper mobile app with well thought out shortcuts, layouts, and functions. This new app is harder to navigate and harder to decipher overall. Like others who have reviewed this app I also miss the showing of pending deposits and withdrawals. It really helped make finances less stressful when you could see something pending the day before it happened. Please revert to the old app Scott Credit Union and stop supporting this one.

New App is Great
This new app is great! In addition to still being able to deposit checks, transfer money between my accounts, and access my money manager through the app, I can now also access my credit card. I’m very happy with the app.

Not super intuitive or user friendly
Compared to regular banking apps or even other credit unions I don’t like the app enough that I wish I would have had my truck loan though somebody else. Having to login to a whole other website just to pay a loan is kinda ridiculous. Also extremely confusing that there are multiple Scott credit union apps with basically the same logo.

Where is everything
I hated having to switch to this app. Everything takes too much clicking to get where you want or to move money around. I can’t see any incoming money anymore (like paychecks) that the old app would show. The process to move money is insane. There’s so much extra stuff that makes it confusing to get to where I want. It’s a bank app. It’s not a website and it’s built to be a website. Apps are supposed to be easier to use and this is not. Can we get the old style back??
