Controller games are good, but mouse and kB games a janky
When I first got this app, I loaded up GTAV and played with my MFi compatible controller for about an hour solid, while at my desk, on my iPad. I didn’t even feel latency or notice a difference from my desktop experience. However, when I tried to play a game that required cursor input, things got a little hard. When trying to play WoW, mouse moving the camera is not an option. Also the keyboard controls don’t work unless you have the show keyboard option selected with the Smart Keyboard. Next, I tried PoE. I found that I could move around but I wasn’t able to press any key bound attacks (QWERT) to actually attack. If this could work, I would def play sitting on my couch with my iPad. The inputs to move didn’t seem to have very much latency at all, definitely playable. Lastly, I did load up Cities Skylines and played that for a little bit. It works, albeit very awkwardly. To move you have to push your finger to the edge of the screen and drag back and forth. Also to do any other camera controls, you need click every thing, the Smart KB didn’t seem to have any response when trying to use the buttons. If the kinks with the Smart Keyboard were worked out, this would be a viable experience for mouse and KB input games on iPad. Currently, the only experience you can really have is one with a controller, which sadly is not a lot of the games I play.

Things that would make this a perfect service...
It does what it says at a cost less than provisioning your own machine on AWS, although latency is a tad higher than on a very local AWS data center. 1. The shadow service recognizes Virtual Desktop for Oculus Quest (1&2) and will keep a session alive so gameplay isn’t disrupted. Please do the same for moonlight (nvidia game stream). It’s simply a better streamer. Your app is great, but for the lowest latency and best responsiveness, moonlight wins. Just give me a way to keep the service alive without having to have a machine logged in and a desktop streamed. 2. Give me pixel doubled “native” resolution on iOS devices. The true NATIVE resolution makes everything so insanely small. Yes, I can scale it to 200%, but this is immediately reset when I connect with a different device. Just give one more native mode but pixel doubled and life would be lovely (or set a scaling factor automatically for me.) 3. Give me a multiuser option. I’d like to share this with a child in my household and I don’t want to manage two machines. Yes, I know I can make additional logins on a machine, but I can’t set the login user in the app, so it means I have to select a user and type a password every time I login. Not that big of a deal, but not a slick as starting the app and being at the desktop almost instantly. Take care of a few of these and it would definitely be worth keeping this over maintaining my own PC.

Great, but a little janky right now
This is by far the best streaming PC experience I've ever had, and this is in comparison to even streaming a computer through various remote desktop software on a 1 gigabit internet line (here in Chattanooga). However, not having native Windows touchscreen gestures and automatic keyboard input of a physical keyboard on an iPad (iPad Pro 11 specifically) makes this fairly cumbersome to use as a productivity computer, and that's a little disappointing considering HOW GOOD the streaming is using Shadow on my internet line, and the fact that I'm not planning to use Shadow primarily as a gaming PC (with a controller) but as a powerful productivity computer. If this app had input similar to TeamViewer's experience, then this app would basically be perfect and I would not have any major complaints. Also, there are bugs currently with custom resolutions here on iOS. When setting the resolution 2388x1668 (to properly fit the entire display of my iPad Pro 11), there were considerable scaling/cropping issues that made it so that either: my input was offset by more than 100 pixels in a direction with some weird scaling or cropping issue, or that my entire screen was black (even when exiting and reentering the app or reconnecting) and the computer would not respond to shutdowns. It was a fumble to get working but I was eventually able to do it.

Great just some issues
I love the shadow app so much for the resin I am long term in a rv and with this I can play on my phone but my biggest issue is that there is no way to have a keyboard that works for the in app pc I know you can pop up a keyboard but that only works for typing I want one that you could I say play on and use to type commands in game and just general play and use it for all stuff like one that has a window buttons and f1 to f12 something like that a key bored I can use and put in screen and click a button to fade it and hide it you know just something I would want other then that my only other problem is that wene playing I am having to plug in and unplug my charger to keep my experience going well other wise it git so lagging I have to reset the app to play the game I want to play and other times I have to wait hours to play because the app will non stop tell me I can not play because I have no internet Evan tho I have full bars I am on WiFi or cellular and it still will not work I am very great full. For a app like This to give me a chance to stay in touch with friends I like to play with on pc games

Terrible company
From trolling to terrible wait times and petty baseless accusations, I’m the type of person to usually never be so critical of someone but this company is a good way to waste time and money. Expect to be blamed for their sever maintenance, for your answers to be dodged, and accountability to be ignored. I’ve only ever received service this bad as a consumer a handful of times in my life, and the first was at McDonald’s. So whatever that’s worth to you, just know the service at this company is worst than the none trained minimum wage teenage employees at McDonald’s. I’m fairly sure it’s handled by an Ai and then translated using bing or some other less than credible source. It’s honestly comical how they handled my case, when the service works it’s interesting, but don’t be mistaken it’s only worth a few desperate subscriptions before you just ultimately just pay for the $350 graphic card in their premium pro plan. At 6 months of their subscription you could have a fully fledge custom gaming pc with better hardware than they offer. For mid range the only thing this app has going for it is the fact it’s like renting a windows license and laptop. And that’s really about it. If you don’t need mods or a few select games, get Gfn or any other $10-$20 subscription

Very satisfying! 🎮
I have had shadow for over a year now I’ve use both the base plan and the upgraded version. Currently I have the upgraded shadow with a little bit of extra storage because I use it to play steam games with my friends the downside of shadow is that it is not 100% reliable, there are times where they are having server problems or other issues and there have been weeks where my connection has been more spotty. However, it seems like every time that has happened after a week or so the issue was resolved and I’m back using it like normal. Shadow has completely changed my life. I got shadow initially so that I could play video games that I really wanted to while doing the treadmill and from last year until now I’m down to 60 pounds! I use joy cons from a Nintendo switch and they work great! Being able to bring my iPad to any gym or easily over to my friends houses and play video Games has been a game changer for me! I can’t thank you enough shadow. 🌈

Before I got my Shadow, I tried the following services: Google Cloud gaming VM. Microsoft Azure cloud gaming VM. Nvidia Geforce Now Google Stadia With the Google VM, I had latency issues I couldn’t solve, with both Google and Microsoft, using a microphone was a terrible experience (I was using Parsec btw). The mic never worked properly and the fees were too expensive. And of course, these services are complex and modular so it would be very difficult for most people to get setup and running. With Nvidia and Google Stadia, the performance and sound were good but you can only play games. I’d say those services are fine if you literally just want to play and have no interest in using any apps, mods, live streaming, or anything like that. Now on to Shadow. On the first day my service was activated, all my issues were solved. All my games run lag-free and the sound is perfect. I’m even using a complex setup with discord, Teamspeak, in-game chat, and sometimes live streaming via OBS, all running at the same time and everything is top-notch. Not only that, but as a web developer, I now have a wonderfully smooth and fast PC to test my work on. In addition, I’m now running Adobe Premier and getting fast rendering done whenever I need to. Conclusion: This is the future of gaming and computing. You can choose to believe it or not, but it’s here to stay and Shadow is the first company doing it right. Thank you for all your hard work. It shows!

Amazing!! Way better than competitors!!!
This app is amazing!! Thank you so much Shadow Tech for making such an amazing app for us!! Your technology is amazing and is so much better than competitors like GeForce Now. Granted, GeForce Now is free, but the mobile versions specifically are nowhere near as good as shadow! This app is really great and allows keyboard usage along with integrated virtual controller setups!! No need for an extra keyboard and mouse! There is no wait time or limit to time, unlike GeForce! This app and company over all is completely amazing!!! Revolutionary!!!!!!! Word of advice to developers... this app would look more appealing to the viewer if the app page shows more informative and exciting images of gameplay and usage. I looked over this before but the images seemed as though it was just for settings or something. Other than that, this app is simply AMAZING!! Thank you Shadow Tech Developers!! This is awesome!!!!

Inconsistency plagues this app
I love this on the pc and my Mac. On the iPhone it works some times then stops. The issue I mainly have is the touch input. When the drivers update from switching from my laptop to my phone is when it works best. If I use shadow in my phone for multiple days on my phone it stops talking touch input and windows machine is basically useless. The only way to get it back that I have experienced is logging on my laptop let it update the drivers then log back on my phone which triggers another drivers update. My only guess is the suspend app or somewhere when I close the app leaves the drivers in a state it can’t recover from. If anything just add a button next to stop and restart shadow for update driver and I can reset the state on the go.

Great app all it needs is
Great app all it needs is a keyboard button on the screen at all times for vr all it needs to do is fix it so some games will respond to your inputs like boneworks when I got the app I was like ok I am going to play boneworks on this and then I spent 2 hours trying to get past the title screen because it would not respond to my inputs so I was kinda sad because I don’t have a good enough pc to run vr but if you don’t want to play any stress level zero games and you don’t have a good enough pc and you don’t want to spend all the money to play pc vr and you have a quest or quest 2 than you should use it you don’t need virtual desktop to use it unlike what everyone says you don’t all you need is a good internet connection and a 5ghz router and thats all also on vr make it easier to open stuff

Can’t wait for the next version
Shadow team, phenomenal job on this initial release! Seeing as how shadow is a front-end for a desktop-centric experience (and gaming) it’s important to have the right ‘mechanics’ for movement within the desktop and games. Please take a look at Remotix or Jump desktop (also found within the App Store) and the cursor mechanics along with keyboard mechanics these apps utilize as they have a Remote Desktop and gaming experience that caters toward smartphone and tablet power users. They also have support for an amazing Bluetooth mouse (yes indeed!!) called the swiftpoint GT which is just phenomenal. You can literally use those apps + swiftpoint to have a complete mobile desktop in your pocket. We want the same for Shadow please because Shadow is so much more than just another Remote Desktop client. It’s a triple-A game streamer that NEEDS proper cursor and keyboard mechanics.

Its awesome
My friend got his shadow activated early and i am waiting on mine around march. We tested and played on his shadow and there are a fee things that no one has talked about. 1 dual monitors IS supported and works 2 if dual monitors doesnt work for you you can also use it like a dual pc setup with your pc on the second monitor and shadow on the first And you can also the latency is almost nonexistent. You just have to have good internet. The majority of complaints are just people with the bare minimum allowed connection. Its better to have atleast a 50mbps connection. My friend and i both have 300mbps and it works so good. Not only that but the ability to download games like gta 4x faster than our already fast speeds. Good work and dont let another company take the idea and do better you guys are awesome

Peripherals Do Not Work on iOS
This app needs USB device support. Mice, keyboards, controllers, etc. all do not work with the iOS app which makes it absolutely useless until support for these devices are added. I am wasting money every month waiting for these features because I don’t want to have to wait another two months for my subscription to be activated again sometime in the future. Update: I have switched to the “TestFlight” version of the Shadow app, and, as stated in the developer response, peripherals work as expected (there are issues with scrolling when using the Apple Magic Mouse 2, but that may be a Windows thing, not a Shadow thing). Updating my review to 4 stars, since this extra step of downloading a beta version of the app to get this basic functionality should not be necessary.

Needs work
It’s really unreliable. Shadow locks me out often. It’s data hungry like nothing ever before it. It could be the way of the future but, we really need to figure a way to make it easier on my data plan. Updated; The more I figure out how to set shadow up for my current bandwidth, the more I’m able to set it to my needs. This is gonna revolutionize gaming. Nothing could possibly compare to this on mobile. In fact I believe it could be developed as the new standard. My gaming experience is no longer the App Store for mobile-ITS THE STEAM STORE!! I’m playing Red Dead 2 on my phone!! I see the future being this platform-with an interface specifically made for mobile. What’s really interesting is the combined DNA... the power of a pc with the functionality of your touchscreen to interact with the game-really handy with games that use a lot of MFDs (Star Citizen) Love this. This is the biggest technological quality of life enhancement in years.

To good to be true! I recommend.
I had initially subscribed to shadow in 2020, Im a user in Florida, I resubscribed in Sept. of 2021 with next day activation. I had very little issues using shadow on iOS and MacOS both times, I was very impressed on how smooth and reliable it is to stream a pc. I give a 5 star rating cause im satisified overall with my experience. Only issues are due to starting up shadow, sometimes connection or loading time is halted for whatever reason but not too often it happens. As this platform has just began and continues to become better, I fully support and recommend to those wanting to have access to a decent pc with limited resources.

A risk not worth taking
I wanted an easy way to stream PC games to my phone. Shadow seemed perfect for me. Unfortunately my entire time has been an exercise of frustration. I'm tech savvy and have followed all the help articles to maximize my connection yet I still am having severe packet loss. Also randomly my shadow will not boot up properly and even using the shut down option won't seem to work. The only fix seems to be either waiting until it figures things out or just doing a full reset. Unfortunately to save money I entered into a 12 month commitment which means I'll be flushing money down the toilet the next year. If shadow worked it would be incredible. The few moments my packet loss would drop to playable levels gave me a glimpse of the future. While that future may be here for some who are closer to the data centers it isn't here for me. Just be aware when signing up you are taking a risk. For me it wasn't worth it.

Life changing service + great mobile client
To me the mobile client is mainly for use in a pinch. That said... if you want to play games this way you’re going to need to invest in an mfi controller anyway. I don’t even need to add any of the cool extras available to improve the mobile experience. Just leave steam running in big picture mode, for example and log in on my phone or tablet. The service can be played down as just another virtual PC and Remote Desktop but it’s not even comparable. It’s incredible. My primary computer is now a shadow. Accessible from all my devices. I don’t know what I’d do without it. Especially in summer when my razer blade strath with external GPU generates so much heat. Shadow to the rescue. ❤️

Don’t Buy a Gaming Computer, Invest in this - Looking forwarded to the updates
This company is shaping the future of gaming. Getting your account set up can be difficult, but this company is still trying to ramp up. I think this app gets unfair reviews, someone seeing 3.9 stars will think its bad. The reality is that the app is an investment, they are rolling out updates regularly. Currently you cannot play FPS shooter on the ipad (which is pretty much why I bought the services). However, I have been sticking with them for several months, and the updates give me strong hope that I will be able to play from my ipad pretty much anywhere anytime. Looking forward!

Used to work
I love shadow, in concept. When I first signed up it worked great, but over time it's gotten more shaky regardless of the platform I access it on. On PC, Its somewhat useable if I'm playing an RTS, But I haven't been able to use it on the phone in months. I wish you could pause the service without losing your data. It's super convinient to have the cloud PC once every six months or so, but most of the time when I really need it, it’s simply too unstable to use, or completely inaccessible. Still beats xcloud, but that’s not saying much.

Really great app and team, sadly new bugs
I’ve been using shadow for a very long time, and I’ve been using the app for about a year. Generally speaking shadow performs above and beyond what’s expected and the team of developers and support there work their tails off to provide an awesome experience. Currently though, with the shadow app, I no longer can use it because when u tap on my screen, it makes me click way higher and all the way to the left of my screen. So now I can’t ex out things or select places to type in to login to my accounts. My shadow on my laptop works fine, and I’ve done everything I could think of, but no solution is found.

it’s an awesome app at a reasonable subscription price
it’s a awesome app because you get a full windows 10 gaming pc go $16 a month and you can cancel anytime or if you want to sign up for a year it’s $12-13 a month the only thing i found to be a downside is the setup waiting period at the moment it takes some time because the fine people at shadow have to set up your account on one of their high end gaming pcs and if you are thinking of getting shadow you will need to go to their website to buy a pre order and set up an account i’m so glad i found out about this app and this company’s awesome idea to try to break apples walled garden in a way by bring windows onto apple devices and i would say $16 a month is a good price to pay to have the freedom to do what you want on your iphone through having a pc that you don’t have to update with constant graphics card or cpu changes or more ram and fried components because shadow takes care of all the heavy lifting you just pay a monthly fee and you have a top of the line pc you can take anywhere as long as you have wifi

I Love this service but beware of ISP data caps
I love the convenience of shadow but unfortunately I live in an area that is limited to only Comcast service. While it’s fast enough to run shadow very well, comcast limits the service to 1tb a month and then charge $10 for each 50gb. With my households usual internet usage this leaves me about 300gb of extra bandwidth to use for shadow. That’s about 20hrs of gameplay at low streaming settings. So, in my case, this just doesn’t make sense over buying a good gaming device. Until Comcast drops their data cap or we get some good competition in our area It just doesn’t make sense for me to use Shadow.

Your program use to work so well
I’m sorry that I’m writing this but your program is horrible. My first experience using shadow was excellent. No problems at all few bugs but it worked pretty fine. Fast-forward this is my second time using shadow. I decided to re-purchase and use your program to experience the fun of PCVR. My biggest problem with this app is it seems to think that my phone which I’m using the shadow program to run PCVR thinks there is another device in use when they’re really isn’t. Using my phone I use virtual desktop through my headset and it works and I’m able to run VR chat to play PCVR but lately it has been given me problems. could yall please take a look? I really don’t want to give up on this program and I have been recommending people this program.

Honestly blew my mind
I live on a military base. I frequently move around the world. Lugging around a complete desktop is annoying in my situation. I had been using a competing service on my ipad to play games. The selection was limited and basically unplayable due to input lag and stuttering. So I try shadow. The input lag is minimal, streaming is smooth and you get all your games as it's a full windows machine. Basically turns my ipad into a powerful desktop. Really cool is that I can get gigabit speeds (base connections are usually quite slow). All I need is 10 mbps to stream it. Well worth the price

So Good!
Being able to use this app on my phone/tablet to play games like FFXIV is just the best. The virtual controller is a boon, but it would have been a perfect five stars if we could move around or edit the elements. Since my phone has a virtual home button as a thin bar at the bottom the start and select buttons are nearly impossible to tap. Also if there was a way to disable mouse/touch while using the virtual controller would be helpful as the tap zones on the controls are minuscule. Overall having a virtual pc on the go is indescribably amazing and I’d highly recommend this app and service!

Unparalleled Functionality
I turned to shadow when it became apparent that GPU’s would not be easily untrainable for some time, it was intended as a patchwork job in the mean time. Now I am playing fully modded play through of my favorite games, the versatility of having a tower level PC without needing to assign a place in the home for it is surprisingly comfortable. I still plan on my own build someday but I cannot recommend this enough to anyone caught in Limbo or finding it difficult to shell out the cash and patience a typical build would require. Kudos Team Shadow, this is a wonderful service you have here.

Touch Input Dose Not Work
Everything was going well until iOS 13 was released. The Shadow application doesn’t work well on my iPhone. It doesn’t accept input, I’ve had to install another remote application to my Shadow. I’ve deleted the app from my device and reinstalled it, issue continued. I find it kinda silly that I use the Shadow app to start the Shadow and then use TeamViewer to actually use the Shadow. I don’t normally use my Shadow on my phone but I like to make sure Windows is up to date and all of my games are up to date while I’m away from my Host computer. I hope this issue is fixed in the future updates.

Keyboard and ‘trackpad’ functions missing
I purchased Shadow to play Steam games on different Apple devices. Works great on the laptops. On iOS I have too many problems. The onscreen keyboard doesn’t function as it would normally on a laptop, keys that would rotate the screen or move game characters didn’t work (asdw, no arrow keys, no touch equivalent of mouse scroll, right click did not work as expected, no right mouse button equivalent). Tabletop Simulator specifically.l Single click was about the only thing that worked, making most games and interactions worthless. I’d rather not have to buy a keyboard and mouse for the iPad to try to duplicate a laptop experience when the point of the iOS app is portability.

Finally I was able to get a ShadowPC, only gripe is I wish I can be able to buy more storage (256GB isn’t enough for me) and also wish that I could be able to experience the Infinite mode is it’s ever available in my regions. With that being said I love ShadowPC, this is awesome, I have a gaming laptop that runs VR well. Yet I’ve been wanting. To upgrade to a more powerful PC. This is a at alternative and actually runs VR better than my 1660 TI 40GB ram i7 laptop. It’s mind boggling how this wow so well with Virtual Desktop & the Oculus Quest.

Logout still broken ios 15
I accidentally signed into the wrong shadow account and every time I open the app it says "sorry your session is expired" and says login with browser which I tap over and over again because the right account is signed in on safari. Nothing happens except it will rarely change "sign in via browser" to "start shadow" and it acts like it's starting my shadow except it does nothing. I'll see a flash of your subscription is expired and sign out then it disappears and dumps me back at session expired. If I'm able to get into the settings while it tries to start, no matter how many times I tap "log out" it does nothing. First you double the monthly price and then you made the app even more buggy. Amazing Potential
I really like shadow. Really cool to play AAA games on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. If you have fast internet connection and like mess with lots of settings and tinker with stuff I recommend it. It’s a little bit pricy, $35 for what fees like a beta product. There are still a LOT of bugs. But I’m still having fun with it. In 1-2 years from now, I expect this service will be amazing. 1 feature request, can you add background audio support to iPhone and iPad? Would love to be able to play music, podcasts, picture in picture video, etc while playing. Right now shadow pauses background audio.

No Longer A Console
I have been a console gamer for over 20 years. I have jumped to the new console every generation. This generation is different.....I got shadow now. It has unlocked THE ENTIRE PC gaming experience and I don’t know anything about building a PC rig or none of that fancy stuff. It’s a VR CAPABLE, high end gaming machine for like $20 bucks per month.......I can play almost any game of the past 10 years better than I ever have AND play the modern games at better framerates and graphics in some cases. This is a no brainer for any big time gamer....ESPECIALLY if you are into VR. GAME CHANGER.

Works great with with wired or lan connections
For best performance, recommend using a wired or lan connection. My experience with iphone mobile was bad. Could not login at all using mobile data and setting all options to lowest settings. Base package came with 250gb which might be insufficient if you plan on installing a bunch of Call of duty 100 gb games. You would have to upgrade your package adding I believe +10$. I would like to see better performance and reliability for iphone mobile and more storage for base package. Overall experience can vary depending on situation. With current price point might be worth trying to finance a high powered computer.

with game streaming being so difficult on ios, shadow is your best bet by far. i haven't tried mouse or keyboard with ios, but if you set up your desktop on another device and play games that work best with a controller, then this is a flawless experience for mobile gaming. works smoothly down to very low bandwidths, so you're able to play at at least 1080p on LTE data without a hitch. I've now designated my shadow for controller based games over my gaming pc because of how well it works anywhere.

The Mad Lads Finally Did It
As of the latest iOS beta, I finally have a fully functioning ipad-as-laptop solution for just $12 / month. I challenge you to beat that. Locked mouse is working (with scrolling on magic keyboard!) and with Apple Pencil and microphone support now, everything is just peachy. I would *love* to see Apple Pencil pressure sensitivity come in a future update, but I don’t even know if that’s possible. Anyway. Back to playing some games in bed on an 8-hour battery.

Works great for me! (Needs USB Mic Support)
I am almost one month in with Shadow and I am very pleased with the service so far. I use it often on my iPad for design work. I was able to install all of my Creative Cloud apps without issue, and several other design/media editing applications that aren’t normally available on iPad. I haven’t experienced any connection issues during use. It would be great if USB microphone support could be added on iPadOS. I have a Blue microphone that I normally use for recording on my iPad and I would really like access to it from within my Shadow PC.

Feels like a novelty
Thought I would give this cloud gaming a try but it feels like a novelty. This app does connect to the virtual computer on their servers but that’s all I could do. Yep there is my windows desktop hey let’s play a little plants vs zombies from my desktop to my phone just to be funny. Nope crash. Huh restart plants vs zombies crash again. Ok let’s try Skyrim, it stutters so bad I had to restart the virtual pc as it would not exit. Ok for the ultimate in minimalist gaming, let’s try the solitaire that comes with windows 10 nope slow AF and can’t even play the first card, I’m done. Even if it did work how are you to play games made for the pc on a phone without a mouse and dedicated keyboard?

Seriously, the only reason I upgraded from my 2018 pro is because of this application. It makes my iPad a true desktop replacement. Between this (for PC apps and games), PSNow which is only available on PC but lets me play PlayStation games. Stadia, and Xbox Gamepass, there is almost nothing my new iPad cannot do. Seriously in recap: Shadow: Stream high end PC apps and games flawlessly PSNow: Stream PlayStation game (requires Shadow) XBox Gamepass: Steam Xbox games from the cloud Stadia: All sorts of other games/content IPadOS: IOS has a ton of great content as well It really feels like with Shadow and the other apps I mentioned there is nothing this device cannot do. That said, if I could only pick one of the above platforms for use on my IOS device it would be Shadow PC hands down! Keep up the great work gang!

Buggy waste of money
I have had multiple issues with this company. The first few months were amazing, low latency, great experience. Then the issues started one at a time. High latency, reliability issues, unstable connections. I am writing this review because I was in the middle of a session right now and the box decided to just stop responding. As in, with multiple documents open, the connection goes down, and there is no way to access my shadow box. I signed up for a year, and I will pay for the remaining six months as I have contracted, but I won’t be using it. I contacted support who said that they can’t help me. Super frustrating as the concept is amazing, I really want this to work, but just a sinkhole of time and money.

Picture is freezing
The picture freezes while I’m trying to play games. In order to get the picture to continue moving, I have to minimize the iOS Shadow app window and then maximize it again. Then it will be fine for about 5 or so minutes and the picture freezes again. Having to minimize and maximize the app all the time is exhausting and the primary reason I signed up for Shadow was to play my games on my iPad.

This app is Awesome
I have been going to the doctors and hospital for cancer diagnosis and honestly besides my girlfriend this makes me so happy to have while I’m in a hospital bed. It’s awesome to be able to game on an iPad and have full pc games. This app works beautifully with the steel series nimbus controller. Definitely recommended for the monthly price! This service isn’t perfect, but better then spending thousands of dollars on the same type of configuration along with mobile game on pretty much any device :)

Good yet ANNOYING
Shadow is good and everything thing but I get so much controller lag on shadow, it’s so annoying and also every time somebody calls me it disconnects my controller although shadow says it’s connected and my controller hasn’t turned off and I always have to turn off shadow and turn it back on so my connection could work. When I play games it feels like the deadzone on my controller is to like 90 or 100 when I use shadow, I know it’s not my controller cause it works really well on my PC. (I downloaded shadow on my phone cause the computer guy is fixing my PC) 😡

Keeps getting better!
This is the best streaming PC experience, period. I use Shadow both for gaming and for work to test websites on Windows browsers and it screams. It’s so convenient that I can pop open Shadow on my iPad and test away. Or if I want to get in a round of Outer Worlds it’s fast enough to enjoy a AAA game. I’m stoked about Shadow and the best part is the developers are engaged with users, they listen and they’re constantly updating it with great new features and improvements. Keep up the good work!

Mouse Support is a Game Changer
For a long time, I was only able to use my Shadow for controller supported games, which, by itself, made the product worth it to me, but now that I get mouse and keyboard support, I can pretty much play any game I want from the comfort of my iPad, and that is huge! Nor only that, but I can use my Shadow for more productivity oriented tasks, if I decide to do so, which is also really great. I’m looking forward to many years of using this service. Great job, developers!

Amazing
I use shadow pc for pcvr and vrchat and it’s incredible. The payment is a lot but it’s worth it most of the time, though I do wish I paid based on hours I spend in the program bc these last two times I renewed my subscription I had some type of separate Wi-Fi issue and couldn’t use the program yet was still charged even though I got to play with it about 2 out of the four weeks. I love shadow though, that won’t change.

Great concept, horrible execution… Used to be good.
I never write reviews so this should say a lot… This used to be a good app but now it barely even works. Keeps saying session expired even immediately after signing in. Would love for this to work and not sure why there are so many problems just connecting to the remote desktop. Everything else works pretty good if you can actually get to the desktop to use it. I can’t lie, I will keep trying to use it on the faith they will figure it out but it really is sad that you can’t even get past the start screen…

Amazing alternative
The shadow pc is a great alternative to dishing out $1,000 for a good pc, especially for more demanding games. I’m currently using the mobile app and the only thing I would suggest is loading time and special keys. Sometimes the app will start right up and other times it won’t start at all and I’ll have to try again later. If I’m paying for something I’d like to use it when I please. Special keys menu/keyboard would help for certain games that use mods. Other than that, AMAZING service

Hi my name is Richard Hudson Jr
This is my review. This app is not entirely fail proof. I have been hacked in my video games so many times with this app even though it claims they use the top of the state of the art technology in their server rooms to prevent intruders from spoiling your work with their cyber threats. If they can make this application work like it’s supposed to then it will be worthy for more consideration in the future for five stars. Thank you for reading my review, and no I don’t want to believe in the Bill Gates holocaust conspiracy. Also Star Citizen is broke in it. Unless you’re like not being targeted as a minority.

what happened to bluetooth mouse support??
years ago i used shadow to log into my favorite mmo & play with bluetooth mouse and keyboard on my iphone xr & it was flawless, barely any input lag n i could even pvp. I tried to do that same thing again recently on my iphone 15 and the mouse support is gone? i tried to follow a guide on setting up assisted touch but it’s super janky & it doesn’t work at all as intended with the shadow app. shadow works great on my galaxy tab, it has full mouse and keyboard support but what happened to that on iphone?? is it apple limiting the accessibility?
