I have been using Shoeboxed for over a decade now and have become dependent upon it for organizing all my small business receipts. I love the app. I did remove one star since it is a bit confusing that you can manually enter your data. If you use their auto feature the information is often incorrect and you get charged. I am on the subscription plan but still enter all my own data. Things that can improve is the auto processing feature (make it more reliable), make the cost more clear to newbies, make it easier to set the whole account to manual process only vs having to set it everytime. Other than that company is fantastic and hope and will continue being a longtime user.
Yes, you need an account to use this great feature -- obvious from the log-in screen? The feature is a major time saver -- super simple, drag and drop receipt submission that keeps my desktop neat and tidy. This was the perfect addition to Shoeboxed's submission options… I'm very pleased!
Here’s an app that truly delivers on its promises. Can’t believe how easy and fast it is. Icing on the cake: You can select and upload more than one file at a time. I did as many as 7 at a time; I don’t know if there is a limit on the number you can batch add. Thank you, Shoeboxed!

I’ve had shoeboxed now for over a year, and found it to be unreliable and clunky. The photo upload frequently doesn’t work and the app miscategorizes scanned business cards as receipts (with no apparent way to recategorize or remove). Hasn’t been updated since 2012, so looks like these turkeys may be deservedly going out of business.
