This is my second review because my last one was responded to by the developer but they don’t understand my issue. I have the app and it’s working fine. However with the latest update the memo line was removed from transfers. So when I transfer money from one account to another; I used to be able to put in the memo line what the transfer is for, such as “gasoline” or “Christmas savings” etc. Now the memo line has been removed so there’s no way for me to put in why I transferred the money. I hope this info helps the developer understand my issue and I really hope the memo line can be added back in with the next update. This is the first time in my 9 years with SIUCU that I haven’t had that memo line. Thank you!
I’ve been a member for almost 15 years, I believe, and everyone on staff is always so courteous and helpful. The App is just as wonderful. It is easy to navigate, I can check my statements and account balances with ease, as well as transferring funds from one account to another; whether I’m transferring to/from my own checking or savings, or if I’m transferring funds to my mother, brother, or significant other’s account. I can’t imagine using a different bank or banking app.
I have been with SIUCU quite a long time. Since it opened at the VA hospital when Nan was in charge. I’ve been a member ever since. Stayed with them great deals on checking & savings, plus great rates on CC stayed will continue w/SICU bc I’ve been impressed w/their support. They have great service and I will continue to use their service. Thank you SIU credit union for being there for me and my family!
Has lots of great and seamless functionality comparable to larger banks like remote deposit. However, would love the option to have daily account balance notification. It’s great to have direct deposit and low balance alerts, but could avoid low balance or catch unexpected transactions or avoid making an impulse purchase if there was a daily balance option as well. That’s the only function I miss when I compare to Chase’s online banking experience.
SIU Credit Union has consistently gone above and beyond my expectations for Services and Customer Service. They have been an invaluable resource to my family and I for more than 10 years now. Doing business with them has simply been a win-win scenario in all of the challenges life has thrown our way. Well done SIU Credit Union… Well done!
Absolutely love this credit union. Mobile app is great. A couple updates ago we lost the ability to transfer money from one account to another, please fix this.
I enjoy the app and glad that they offer it. I’ve been a sicu member since I was 8 years old and will continue to be. I would rate 5 but the banner ads at the top of the screen interfere with some screens and just get in the way. Other than that 5 stars.
Absolutely love SIUCU! They believed in me when no one else would! Will never go elsewhere! It’s a warm and friendly place. Everyone is very helpful if I have a problem and usually resolve it right away. THANK YOU SIUC, A Lifetime customer Deborah Robbins
I love SIU Credit Union and I love the app. It’s just that recently I haven’t been able to log in and actually use it:/ 5 stars if I still could as I love all of the features on there it’s just scary not to be able to access my money virtually.
My husband and I love SIU Credit Union. Great rates, awesome customer service, and easily navigated app makes it so easy to view balances and make transfers. One stop banking.
This app to me presents the user interface in a much cleaner, simpler fashion and I personally enjoy it. I wish they would implement a dark iOS theme down the road, and also bring back Face ID/Fingerprint systems. My cons: only issue I’m having so far is the profile section. It will not allow me to edit it, as it tells me I need to call the bank in order to update or change my email, phone #’s, etc. Personally, I don’t have the time or patience to call, as I work a lot. So to me having the ability to edit/update contact info, yet it doesn’t allow you to save it, defeats the purpose in my eyes. I hope they fix this whether it’s a design flaw or bug. Besides that I don’t really have many complaints.
The old app was much better. This app looks better I guess but the functionality is not great. It’s slow and clunky. There are times I open the app and there is a spinning circle before I can even try to log on and I have to force quit the app multiple times just to log on. This new version does look better but it looks like the cost was functionality. This app is slow, clunky, and doesn’t work half the time. Edit: March 9 Initially I was just annoyed with the new version of this app but after having it for a while and seeing the lack of caring from the development team I felt the need to come in and lower my rating. This new app BARELY works. I can no longer easily view credit card statements. My auto loan balance and payments show incorrectly in the app. The app is just a straight up mess. The old version was much MUCH better. Edit after developer response; I want to be clear: this has nothing to do with learning to use a new app. I know how to find my credit card and review information. The issue is that the old app was much easier to use and just made a lot more sense to access certain functions and it was more accurate. The developers seems to want to keep defending their app instead of hearing the feed back they are getting from users. It’s rated under 3 stars for a reason.
There wasn’t anything wrong with the old app and now there is a new app with tons of issues. I can’t pay any of my loans through the mobile app because it gives me a pop up that reads “Error URLSessionTask failed with error: A server with the specified host name could not be found”. I cannot click on any different page within the app without this message popping up. I have the latest version and I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall the app. It doesn’t fix it. I also don’t like how I can’t transfer funds to my parents account instantly like I could before. It now will take 2-3 days, but it’s member to member, so it’s extremely inconvenient.
New app works just fine. Process to re-enroll was very easy. Just followed the directions they had in the website. Also very easy to navigate through all my accounts. I also like that you can group multiple accounts together so none of them get lost in the shuffle.
I’ve had to delete and restore this app at least 5 times. Ive had issues with it repeatedly kicking me out, the endless spinning where you can’t log in, and now I’m getting a URL can’t be found error on the log in screen so I can’t log in. I’ve deleted the app once again and reinstalled and still getting same error. It’s the weekend so I will have to wait until next business day to call bank to get info I need. The new app layout is fine but when you can’t even log in it’s useless. This needs to be corrected as I see so many others are having problems as well.
Definitely liked the old app better, but my main complaint is I use a keyboard with my I pad therefore using it in landscape mode. App will not go into portrait mode making it difficult to do online banking
The love the simplicity in paying bills on this new app. Just hit the big plus in the bottom middle of the screen and you can easily see transfers, apply for loans and bill pay. I love it!
Did SIUCU have a scope of work contract with the developer which required the achievement of specific error free goals in developing the app? The last app was quick, easy to use, and it worked. This new app (and the website for PCs) is incredibly clunky from a UI/UX perspective with elements covering other elements like weird pop up ads and design elements that are poorly conceived and executed. It looks like a sophomore effort from conception and design to implementation. The new app is difficult to use and does not produce desirable or expected results for basic things like loan payments or balance checking and ledger review. It’s enough to make us want to switch banks. SIUCU is a great bank. This app is a bleeding sore on an otherwise great banking experience. Why hasn’t it been fixed?
I think the new app is pretty nice. My only complaint is that right now I can’t connect my bank to apps that use plaid. The app is simple and easy to use.
It is not user friendly. The POP-ups advertising auto loans and low interest rates actually block ones ability to do regular online banking! It won’t let me change my profile even after editing and saving. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice and it still is bad. I would NEVER TRUST IT to make photos of checks for deposits EVER!
The new app is terrible. It won’t let me save my password even when I click “remember me.” It also won’t let me use the “forgot password” function so now I am locked out of my account. Waiting for the bank to call me back and they probably won’t be able to help either
The previous app was easy to use and informative. You could see credit card transactions and go between screens, easily transfer money to children accounts. This constantly logs you out (oops!) and maybe it’s there, but not intuitively. Please fix! Make more intuitive and less likely to block your own card.
This new app is constantly having data issues and is hard to navigate. The corners are too rounded and it feels too flashy compared to the simplicity of the old app. Not a fan of the design, not a fan in general.
The app worked for the first month or two, but now it won’t let me make my loan payments. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the app but it will not let me make my payments.
