If I could give a lower rating I would. Won’t recognize password and end up changing password almost every time I log in only to be told the password I input is an old password and I can’t use it!! Well of course it is - I knew I had the right one to begin with!! Says my email is not verified but has no way to verify it. I decide to change it and it won’t recognize a new email. I can’t believe a business has an app out there as poor as this one!!!
I downloaded app in July and paid first bill just fine. I log back in to pay my bill this month, bill pay error. It certainly lets me login and see my bill, but allows me to do nothing otherwise. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, installed fresh iOS software, uninstalled and reinstalled…..and ultimately had to pay the bill via phone. 👎🏻
This app used to work reasonably well. I used it b/c the site won’t work properly on my phone, now the app doesn’t work at all. Get it together SMECO! Login failure each time I try to log in. I know the password works b/c I can log into the website… again… the website doesn’t work on my phone either so all I can see it the top bar, like it’s constantly refreshing and won’t stop.
They must’ve done a major overhaul on this app. I’m able to log in see what I need and just keep up. You still can’t change your payment amount to pay any amount but I’ll take what I got for now.
If I could give it negative stars I would. The app has no memory of anything Including my correct email, checking account, cc, or even that I have an account. A customer since 1988 and I still can’t pay a monthly bill without re-entering checking acct or cc info, and that’s assuming I get past the “no account” / “add account” firewall. No, “firewall” is too polite. It’s like Dante’s Inferno on steroids.
I got the app and haven’t been able to login to my account since. What’s the point of offering an app to better serve your customers if no one is making sure it’s working properly. Every time I try it says there was an error try again later
Like another user here, app worked fine for me last month but doesn’t appear to be working now to pay bills. Disappointed because I liked it when it worked. Hope it’s fixed soon.
Too many steps to simply pay bill. Acct Information from Web, should auto transfer to mobile app. Fonts are way too small (need a magnifying glass to see them). Very poorly designed and executed. SMECO hasn't updated in months. Please do better. Customers deserve better.
Keeps telling me log in failure try again later ?... guess what? Later never comes ..it doesn’t work..just easier to go to the web site..Hope smecco got kissed after buying this app..because they sure did screw them!
Downloaded the app & it crashed when I tried to use it. It crashed 3 times - when I tried to contact Smeco, when I looked at Account Manager & when I tapped Outage Map.
Wish I could rate NO STARS. The app no longer allows me to sign in with my proper credentials. Then if it does, I’m unable to make a payment. DO NOT INSTALL. Go straight to the website.
This may be the worst app I have ever tried to use. Save yourself time and energy by just crawling to your nearest in person payment center with a laundry bag full of pennies, because that would be a lot faster and less annoying than using this app.
Why would you make a MOBILE app to pay your electric bill that requires your account number every time you log in? If I'm paying bills at my computer it's a pain to find the number.
This app is garbage. Absolutely horrible - can’t even add my account. Error received after entering 10 digit account number and either last 4 of SSN or even billing address zip code. This APP is an utter piece of junk.
