The app is extremely easy to use and immediately shows the actual percentage of fill. It also flags whether fill exceeds NEC requirements. With spin wheel fields for each variable, selections are quick, easy and accurate. Thanks for making this available to customers.
This app is so quick and easy. Gives you the option to punch in the numbers of your wire properties. For example the wire, size, insulation, AWG , and stranded or solid. It tells you the probability of a jam. All you have to do is put the numbers in. Great app. Highly recommend it.
Don’t use this app! I work as an electrician and used this app for a conduit fill on a nipple between two panels. I had (4) 350 xhhw and (1) 1/0 xhhw and it came out to 56% fill for a 2 inch emt. Used a 2 inch emt for my nipple and inspector called me on it. I calculated it out via 2020 nec and sure enough it came out to 67% fill over the 60% max. Made me look stupid and wasted time. We’re trained to trust our tools but apparently you can’t this one.
The app really should have an option to tell you the total number of wires per type to said type of conduit. Rather than having to plug in all the numbers manually to find the max number
Before this update this app had a Calculate button on it which you could leave something blank and it would calculate it for you so you wouldn’t have to look it up that’s why I gave it to stars
Changing the conduit type erases the conduit size. Many common conductor sizes and types are omitted such as bare solid copper and other that Southwire sells.
Great app. Best of the conduit sizing apps. Simple interface. Tells you the actual calculated fill, not just pass/fail. Also calculates jam ratio. They've limited the conductor types to those actually used in construction so you don't need to sort through every wire type. Huge time saver if you size a lot of conduit.
I used to run a lot of conduit and was good at it. I haven't bent pipe in a few years and found that it was like learning all over again. So I found this app and tried it. This is such a time saver and right on. Especially the rolling offsets and kicked 90's. Great App
I downloaded this on my 3GS and it works great. Makes my life so much easier to have this information at my finger tips. Double checked the calculations and they were spot on.
