You guys took a perfectly good online app and ruined it. Wish we had a choice whether we could use the old one or the new one because that instantly switch back to the old one. Nothing about it I like I’ve had more problems than I ever had since I used started using this app. My dad always had a saying if it ain’t broke son, don’t fix it. Maybe these are some words you should live by.
A feature that would be nice if this could be implemented somehow. The message that pops up when one is locked out of one’s account. If you’re locked out of your account because you just need to update your password, please have that message appear instead of “Contact us”. On the web browser it tells you to reset your password, which is preferable. The app made it appear that the issue was more severe and pressing than reality. This just happened to me and since SRP is closed when I figured this out, I couldn’t contact them. Thankfully (or unfortunately) I’m pretty stubborn and tried to log in through my browser. Immediately I was prompted to update my password and log in again. If that can’t be done in app for whatever security reasons, send an automated email to the email on file to prompt the user to update the password. Also please bring quick balance back to the widgets and Apple Watch. I’m no developer and don’t know how these work. But it’s be a nice change. Otherwise, everything else works fine. I like that I can rename my accounts and toggle ones on and off from view.
Firstly, you took away the ability to use my Apple Watch to check my balance. Your new app has inconsistencies with functions, and it’s hard to find features that should be easier. Your app works worse than other banks, and credit card apps. Please fix your app, the old one was nowhere near this badly designed, even though it looked old. Sure the new app looks good, but it’s designed poorly. Also on iPhone it never saves the device, I constantly have to rename my phone every time I log in to verify. Fix your app, or don’t offer one. I’m better off logging into the website on my computer which I’ve been having to do since the whole it doesn’t recognize my device.
I’ve been with SRP for quite some time now and because of this app I’ve been looking to bank with a different institution. There have been multiple occasions where the app is down and I can’t transfer my own money in order to pay for my groceries. This will happen during normal business hours. Nothing says “Valued Customer” like me not being able to access my own cash! The app is also way slower than their previous version as well as being far more inaccurate. The person responsible for this should be reconsidered for a position cleaning toilets for the crap that they’re responsible for putting out to their customers! Thanks SRP for being the financial institution I can no longer count on!
I love my app because I balance my check book with it and catch over charging of online purchases etc. wish it alerts me to charges like capital one does in my credit card
I love this app! So many fun new features. I love that I can set up savings goals, and the transferring from my checking to savings is even more simple than before. Transferring from one institution to another is a breeze. Great app, and great features.
Latest update is horrible. More cumbersome to use. Some nice features from the older version are gone. Then the show every account that you are linked to is stupid. I opened savings accounts for my kids when they were very young. They are adults now. I don’t need to k ow nor care why is in their accounts. Yeah, I can hide it but why? Then they say there’s nothing they can do about it. Really? It wasn’t like that before. Terrible update. No stars.
Making my SRP accounts have been easily accessible for me to make transactions without having to come inside the bank. I am very pleased with the service and the people at SRP in North Augusta, SC has great customer service, especially Camille S.
I log in and then when I go to look at my screen, it automatically reloads back to the login screen. This gets old really quick especially when I’m trying to make a transfer and have to start over again and again. So far that’s the only issue I have.
All my transferring info to my wife and son is gone. Have to Start that all over and it never goes smoothly. Waited on hold, never got the chat w anyone. I’m sure the new app has positives but I have yet to see them.
I had no idea there was an update. I couldn’t log into my app and someone told me I had to get the latest version. I have auto update on my phone but it did not update it. I deleted the app but when I went to the App Store, the expired version is all that is available on the App Store. I went to SRP website and that also has the outdated app version! I can’t upload the new app and I need to access my account!! Very disappointing.
I have accounts at several banks. SRP’s app is the best hands down. I especially like the mobile deposit tool that lets you group several checks into one deposit.
If I could give it zero stars I would, as I’m sure many others. When the app was updated, it took so much away. I can’t use any apps that connect to my bank I.e expearian, albert .. the long list continues. This will cause my credit score to go down without being able to use this once, “perk”. I have been with srp for over ten years. I am looking to switch banks, simply because of this new GARBAGE app.
You took a good app, updated it, and ruined it. The new app is awful. Why did you remove functions the old app had? Update it again and make it the way it was. I can’t do anything more than the old app provided. Your chat does not work. Tried it numerous times and it reads, no one is available to help, try again later.
The ease of operation is great. The layout of all the functions and options. It’s quite literally the closest thing to being at the branch unless you need to get cash. Love using srp for all my financing and purchases.
App won’t refresh accurately until days if lucky a night later. I keep trying to transfer money to a more reliable banking app and will say like transfer my last $5 but it’ll say I went into the negative by that $5 it said I had. ON TOP of a $35 overdraft fee. I’ve easily paid $140 in fees because of this crappy app (probably bank itself) not being up to date
SRP is a Phenomenal financial institution and the new app reflects its growth, improvements and innovations of the last years. The many new features gives its members more capabilities and control over the shares and loans. Thank You SRP
SRP is the worst banking organization I have ever worked with. Customer service is incompetent and all over the age of 70. They barely understand what a mobile app is. The app is terrible and has no resources. And anytime you attempt to do something that was invented in this century, the app just crashes. It makes me so frustrated when I can’t even access my own money because of SRPs ancient practices.
I used the credit until for a loan but paid my loan through an external loan payment and now that feature is no longer there, super disappointed in the new update. Had to sit on the phone on hold for 38 minutes until I got someone to pay my note over the phone.
After the new update, it will not send alerts when card is used. Even when alerts are on. Will not send a text alert even when my info is entered for a text message alert. Please fix. The alerts by text message from previous version were very helpful. Please fix or revert back to the old version
Since the update, I have spent more time trying to talk to a human to fix this mess. I thought it was fixed, but went to pay my bills tonight and I can’t get in AGAIN! It keeps defaulting to an old phone number that was canceled. If this doesn’t straighten out soon, I’ll just have to draw my money out and do my banking elsewhere! Inexcusable!!!!!
I love the mobile appt. Its convenient and easy to use. I now live in a different city and it’s so simple to grab my phone or table and handle paying bills or transferring money. Love the app.
What’s there to do? The app is down all day they don’t answer the phone about the app and yet they say we are the top priority and get the app functioning
New update is horrible ! Doesn’t even require Face ID or pw anymore when using the app . It’ll automatically show my balances / amount if someone clicks the app - with the new update it doesn’t show any card details like the old version did . I’m not impressed with this this update at all . I uninstalled the app all together
Scared to use this app to bring up my account info. This does not look legitimate. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to go into the credit union to see if I have any money left in my accounts. I even called the fraud department and they could not help because they do not have access to that info (the new icon ?)
I couldn’t even access the app so its now deleted. Now, I just access accounts through the web and with password autofill, the web is faster than even the old app ever was. Unless you can provide an app that is a benefit, forget it, it’s a waste of your time and ours.
Since the new update, I no longer receive transactions whenever my card is used. I have it enabled and still doesn’t work! Useless customer service. Oh and since the update I can no longer connect my account to 3rd party apps.
This new app is hard to navigate around. It won’t let me ever use my Face ID to get in and every time I try to log in, I have to get a SMS verification. The old app was much better than this. I can’t even log in half the time because of the verification thing.
This is awful, fix it please! I have NEVER had issues with the app or SRP in 12 years and now that y’all have changed it, I can never get into my account. I literally have to change my password every time I log in, it’s ridiculous.
I don’t know why they would change what was already working so well. The new app and online stuff is complete garbage, no wonder they’re “experiencing higher than normal call volumes” Absolutely garbage app and bank
Downloaded the app, set up my account, saw my accounts once and from then on it’s been restricted. Luckily it’s not my main financial institution and only have a HELOC through them. But it makes it hard to pay the payment!
