I love my bank app with St Mary’s and ran into only one issue so far after 2 years of using it. When creating an automated bill pay for bank to send check to other institutions there is no option of entering exp date but it automatically chooses maturity date to be the date you put in for the payment due date. I would say this is a huge flaw as this cost me a lot of time to square away with st Mary’s and my car note institution. Thankfully I noticed right away when second payment was not submitted but it cost me nerves and letters from them that it would take from my credit score.
The option to deposit a check on the app doesn’t work.
When I use the deposit a check it ask to take a picture of the front and back of the check, also include the amount on the check. I do as ask and then it says I need a endorsement when clearly I have. The app either closes down or logs me off when I try to do this. It has worked for me before and I didn’t even endorse my check last time. This is suppose to be a easy way to deposit my check, not to make it more difficult. If none of these options the app gives us work then the app is just to check your balance in your bank account. I think it’s time to fix the app.
I have one major issue with the App and that is it DOES NOT ROTATE! Which should be an easy fix! If I use the website page, I view everything in portrait mode just fine! Which means the same viewing mode should be available for the App. I hate using Landscape mode for anything. Being FORCED to use the App only in Landscape is ridiculous! Catch up to the times St. Mary’s...make the App rotatable so those who prefer either portrait or landscape will be able to! Because of this, and because it is a big deal to me, 2 stars! Fix it, I will give it 5 stars.
I spend five minutes trying to deposit a check in the new version of the app today. I tried retaking the pictures and I tried hitting the submit button over and over again but the app wouldn’t accept the deposit nor give a reason for not accepting the deposit. Finally after hitting submit four times after the most recent pictures, it accepted the deposit. No idea why the same information was denied three times before. How is it that St. Mary’s Bank keeps pouring money into technology for online banking and the technology just keeps getting worse?
The one thing I wish that you could add is to some how be able to mark your transactions by a highlight or check so you are able to see on the main screen which transactions at a glance that have been looked at. Especially on my checking account to help verify each amount.
This is by far the best Credit Union App, I’ve had experiences with other credit union mobile banking apps, St Mary’s Bank is hands down the best. We’ve been with St Mary’s Bank for over a decade and I wouldn’t bank anywhere else. It just keeps getting better.
The app consistently logs me out every time I try to do a mobile deposit, despite the fact that the bank has confirmed I am eligible for mobile deposit with my account.
In general the latest version of the app is good, but one change is very annoying. The old version made all deposits amounts green in the transaction lists. This made it easy to scan transactions and quickly review deposits versus debits. Now all transactions are black so they look the same. Please bring back the green deposits!
App Suxs..I’ve only been able to automatically take an image once. The rest of the times have been manually preformed. And you have to wait for that option. Old deposit app was better, never an issue.
Have this app makes all my banking needs available at the tips of my fingers. No trying to find time to get to a location. So easy to make deposits and transfer money. Love this app
I’ve had St Mary’s since 1980 as my Mom has me open a Savings account that use to use A Passbook type book. Wow aging myself!!!! All my business is with St. Mary’s which makes life easy. Very pleasant staff as well.
We love it mostly for the convenience, now that we retired we live an hour away and hated the thought of changing to a more local bank! This is perfect!!!
I’m really sad, what happened to the deposits in checking being color coded green? Now they’re harder to find/identify because it’s the same color as the withdrawals/transfers. :(
Why can’t this app remember your login name when you check the box for it to do so. Had this problem one before, it was fixed, now it’s back. Why can’t the IT department at St. Mary’s get there act together. I been a computer programmer for over 40 years, you have it fixed, why is this happening again ?
I’m writing this solely because I find it disgusting that they don’t allow you to turn off overdraft and instead force you to take it and pay 35!!! Dollars every time and have the audacity to tell me to turn off auto pay which saves me money don’t waste your hard earned money for what amounts to a money storage unit
Was hit with two overdraft fees in 24 hours because they put a hold for one payment but didn’t reflect it in the available balance so when my student loans processed I was hit with the first overdraft fee with $.74 in the positive as a available balance. I was then hit with a second overdraft fee when the item the put the hold on for processed.
Not sure why as all my other banking apps work in landscape on my iPad - which this app has for years since I’ve been using it. But not anymore. Bring back landscape please!
This app is unreliable. They really should have a tab for pending. That is a must have. If they ever update it. It took a little bit to actually get into my account too. This app is for a massive bank. These issues should not be happening. Get it together!
I have been a customer at St Mary's bank for several years now. Unlike much of the rest of the banking industry, their technology has gotten steadily worse. Their online banking web app is awful, lacking basic capabilities. Just ask a branch employee about renaming accounts online, or about getting this mobile app to show the right accounts. You have to go to their site to even try to designate which accounts show up in the app, which after many tries it still is not doing correctly. The app is basically useless if you have anything more than a single basic checking account with one name on the account.
