If you use this app in conjunction with the website, you end up with an extremely powerful tool for researching apartment rentals in the city. It has been a huge help with my upcoming move. The neighborhood selection tool on the website is one of the best map based selection tools that I have used. You can literally lay out the map down to the individual street level. The selection tools in the app are not quite as precise, but still give a decent amount of control. I have really enjoyed using both this app and the associated website. Highly recommended...

Everyday I message 10 listings a day at least that always states “just listed” next day I receive message that says apartment has been rented or it’s in contract. I don’t understand this app. Although it’s illegal to discriminate against voucher applicants they still do. This company should require every listing to accept vouchers or not post at all and to update their listings daily. I have a 7 month old and wasting time to travel 2hrs via public transportation lifting a stroller up and down flights of stairs to only view an apartment just to be told vouchers are not accepted or be emailed some ridiculous thing about paying half month rent for “good faith hold” while application is being reviewed is insane. Non of these apps are useful for people not making over 60k, especially you have a housing voucher. Don’t know what’s the purpose.

This app does the job, but there's an annoying feature. I use this primarily on my iPad which I almost exclusively use in landscape mode. Annoyingly, this app will *always* default to portrait no matter if your orientation is locked or you're already holding your iPad in landscape. You have to unlock orientation, spin the iPad to portrait, then spin it back to landscape which is really annoying when you're using the app multiple times a day. Other apps I use will detect the orientation and adjust accordingly. This is the only one I've had a problem with. Other than that, it works like the website does. It's a great resource for navigating the bleak landscape of ny apartments. I hope they fix this issue in a near future update.

I am a single mother , attending college to better myself and uplift my family.I have been searching for a nice apartment for myself and my children. I teach them every day to never give up hope because there is someone out there who will give us the opportunity, to live in a descent apartment until we can afford to have the American Dream. Please provide some listings which accept Sec 8 vouchers.. Thank you

A lot of misinformation, basically these are listings trying to get you in. Incorrect photos, same photos being used for multiple listings AND BEWARE OF THE FREE MONTHS, your rent will be raised by an INSANE amount the next year. Unless you only want one year. And also beware of these new “luxury” SMALL apartments for insanely high rent. NY will never recover this way. We need to support the good landlords, not the greedy ones! I’ve lived here 25 years and this is not how we operated. We need this amazing city to be affordable and the melting pot and the unique experiences you’ll have to make it the city it’s always meant to be!! We are tough, and as they say, you make it here you can make it anywhere!

I’m enjoying listing for apartments in stories with great scenery. So far this app has managed to do just that . Similar listings pop up very often, which helps :)

This app is great except that the outdoor space filter isn’t specific enough. Currently it doesn’t differentiate between an apartment having outdoor private space vs outdoor shared space. So if you are trying to find an apartment with outdoor private space you have to weed through all the listings where the building has a roof deck or similar. It would be great to have a filter specially for private outdoor spaces.

They will spam you with emails that you can’t unsubscribe even after selecting every single unsub option on their website To make matters worse they require you to contact support to delete your account. No button or self initiated fashion. If it was just the unsub not working I would chalk it up to incompetence but the removal of the option to delete your account and mandating us to wait and contact support indicate directed malice and evil

App is fine but the website won’t stop displaying full screen popup to install the app when you download the app. I get daily emails for my saved searches and i think it’d be very useful if links opened in app instead of website. it starts getting frustrating after 736th time seeing the install the app popup.

* The app cannot save your profile consistently. * it does not have the same information as the website * you cannot add accounts In summary, waste of time. Don’t try saving any places or storing them for later, this app will randomly crash and lose all your saved info. This is one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with an app of its kind.

The swipe to hide interaction is frustrating. It happens when you are scrolling through photos, and you accidentally miss and hide the apartment from your search.

Product Feature Request: Add Filter to remove furnished listings. There are a lot more Furnished Apartments listed and there is no way to remove these.

You need to have an option for whether brokers or landlord require a good faith deposit. That can really kill a deal.

The app is great when I’m able to sign in. But it randomly (and without warning) logs me out several times a week. I’m late to see/respond to new listings because of it. Really unacceptable for an app that’s supposed to serve one of the fastest moving real estate markets in the country.

Street view isn’t available for any rental units which is kind of annoying. Also wish there was an option to see listings posted within the past day, week, or 30 days.

When you input your commute address and hit done, it doesn’t save, and therefore does not calculate time. This was an issue on the iPhone as well but the last update seem to fix that, but it an issue on both iPad apps. Please fix. It’s a big part of knowing what to choose.

I’ve tried logging and it says that I had changed my password recently, so then I actually change the password and try to log in again and it shows the same error message.

It is difficult to save and revisit searches. Not possible to delete searches. Just is not user-friendly in app.

Every time I try and log in I get a message that says “The email or password previously entered has changed.” Then I go and reset the password and I still get the same issue when trying to log in.

When I click “redo search in this area” I expect it to search only in that area not jump away from the area I’m in and show me apartments in Jersey when I’m in a queens!!!

This app helped me keep my apartment hunt organized.

How do I get the app to stop its continual “sorting” when you have a saved items listing open? It continually brings me back to the first apt .. so this is a massive time waster. There is no way to save your place. I have 220 listings saved. That’s 220 times I am forced to go back to the beginning.

The app is not working properly when you add filters. Listings that appear on desktop doesn’t appear on the app.

I tried to filter the apartments from least expensive and the doesn’t work. Apartments are shown in random order. From $2250 to $1950 to $3000. Need to fix that.

Otherwise it’s a pretty good app.

If you are using an account, don’t bother with the app. It doesn’t remember your credentials and the sign in function is not working. Just use the website.

Expansion to other cities would be great

The saved listings list refreshes every 30 seconds or so, taking me back to the top of the list. It renders the saved listing feature practically unusable.

This is a shady practice that obscures the market for the renters, it can misinform renters and allow rents to stay artificially high at a time when demand is very low.

The map view on at least Hoboken/Weehawken apartment rentals has been broken for MONTHS now!! Please check ALL other neighborhoods and do proper QA tests. What is going on? Is anyone even aware and fixing this???

Don’t use your email with them they won’t stop spamming you emails. The unsubscribe button in their emails doesn’t work either.

Don’t get this app because there are others out there and the unsubscribe button doesn’t work- it’s an endless loop, you can never get rid of it!!!!!
