Great platform and great app
I moved from Robinhood to TastyTrade. So far I’ve been very impressed with their trading platforms as well as their learning materials. As an organization they seem to be all able teaching and making their customers profitable traders. They provide boatloads of content for free. I think they’ve done a great job bringing a large portion of their desktop platform to mobile device. It’s got a similar look and feel and works really well. I love the customization features as well. I was able to customize the columns to show all the statistics I was interested in. This is a great platform for experienced traders and newer traders that are hoping to advance their skills.

Already good. Potentially Great.
I’m so glad to see that the charts have been improved with the most recent update! I love the option tables and the order entry mechanics on the iPad app - this is actually the platform I default to when I’m placing an order. I LOVE being able to view the IVx structure of the underlying I’m trading - this is fantastic for calendars and diagonals. I also really love all the innovative metrics Tasty displays; POP, P50, beta-weighted delta. The community and research are, of course, top-notch. IMO, one thing this version is missing is a fully developed graphing feature. The curve view on iPhone does display profitability zones, which is cool, but an actual p/l curve would be even better. I don’t see any graphing feature on iPad. It’s possible that it exists and that I haven’t found it yet. It would also be nice if in the positions tab you could group option positions together like you can on the web version; it’s not easy to determine the overall p/l of my multi-leg strategies on the iPad app.

Tastey works app
Once you get used to the app on your phone, because it’s a little different the the computer it off to the races. You can trade from anywhere which equals freedom. My only concern is my service or phone. I really like how intuitive the program is though, it makes life easy. Tastey works itself doesn’t seem to have any live person actually working customer help. It is next to impossible to actually find a number for them. Most email communication has been answered in less then 24 hours though. The prices are pretty good on the site or are at least better then others.

A Kentucky Thanks
A big thanks to the dev team, it keeps getting easier and easier. The only thing that I would add is the ability to set min/max quantities for options, stocks & futures based on each individual account…this would not only speed up placing trades when the market is moving fast, but reduce fat finger mistakes and eliminate over sizing trades. When placing at ‘Similar’ trade in one account, the switching to another account~would either automatically apply the max quantity for that account or the same quantity from the current trade that could easily be adjusted.

Missing Cash Balance in iPad version
There used to be cash balance in the iPad version, but now it's missing. I need to know that info, always. The app sometimes behave glitchy, like Net Liquidity and other values are displayed completely wrong. Other apps like WeBull, IBKR provide you with much more in depth information about analyst ratings, stock's fundamentals data and ratios. These things are a must for a brokerage app I believe, otherwise I would have to perform my Equity trading in a separate app. Edit: looks like there is a bug in my iPad app then, thanks for the developer response, but the cash balance is still not there. It used to be right beside Net Liquidity, now it just doesn't show. Also, glad to here that you guys are adding a research tab!

Principal trading platform
This is an excellent app. I don’t have the option of sitting by a desktop that often. I trade stocks, etfs & options from this mobile app almost exclusively. Execution is fast. Turn around on capital on an account over 25k is instantaneous. Forget Fidelity and Schwab. One drawback is they do not yet have access to over the counter markets. No automatic sweep of funds into a money market fund. The work around using etfs works for me but probably won’t for every one. Combine this with the TastyTrade channel and you have an awesome trading app on your mobile phone.

Force closing is a needed function with this app
The newly implimented feature, close at X percentage, does not work. After setting the desired profit percentage to close, I am then unable to choose how many units of the trade I would like to apply to this closing order. When pressing one of the three options the app shorts not respond nor can you recover from this point in the app. Force close needed. Speaking of needing to force close, the other current bug is still present if waking up the app from standby, no visual chart data will display. The app needs to be forced closed in order to display a chart again. That said, I cannot give this app anything more than 2 stars until one does not need to rely on force closing during every day, routine use.

NEED SOME WORK— Please?
I think I’m going to fund my account soon, despite me being so hesitant these past few years. I really wish the charts were more like TradingView’s, or at least Webull’s, both on mobile & desktop, because the charts are frustrating to work with. Not only that, but I also wish they have a widget, where I’m able to view my open positions, like how Robinhood does without having to open the app. Please consider these improvements, more so on the ability to customize layouts & with a wider range of configuration options. I’m going to give Tasty a try as a play account, but I’m not sure if I could fully get over the drawbacks to fully commit.

Happy to see some improvements rolling out. Always a good sign for the future. Was thinking of switching but I’ll stay a while longer and see if they keep up with their updates. Only real grip now is UI experience between iOS and the app, I’m familiar with both, but for new folks the same “controls” should work between apps. I was arguing feature parity but I can understand making the iPad a more flushed out experience. I think they can have both with consistent UI gestures though. Really like the swipe controls and press and hold strike movement/delete trade functionality, feels natural. Other than that, standard deviation graphs are a bit buggy when showing your profit window. And graphs on iOS could use an overhaul (but they do seem to be improving there too). Biggest selling point for me with Tasty is their options first focus in the apps, it’s unique to all trading apps and provides option traders with some pretty great option analysis tools.

Version 2.9.0 need improvement and testing
- Position closing new features are a pain for fast closing entry. I lost lot of money with new design. Either bring back the old version or no need for profit entry %. Take directly to listing. - Replace transaction from activity page has bug. Many times the transaction not properly replaced. Many times I lost money. - Last please don’t release the app update in the middle of trading hours. That scares me with my sitting trades - Tastyworks I enjoyed the best. But these app updates are making me thinking of other alternatives. Losing money because of the app issues is not fun.

Missing Important Features
I have been with tastyworks for about 4 years it’s alls been constantly improving but they have taken a step back. I don’t know why anyone would think removing the original purchase price per share column. This is the most annoying thing I have ever seen. Now I have to rely on just seeing daily increase and a percentage bar that tells me nothing. Please get it together and make this app what it should be and get it connected to CLIK.

Difficult to navigate
Having a difficult time to just understand if a trade is at a profit or loss. I finally get it, but when I leave a screen and come back, it’s seems that the layout changed again. I have not gotten my screens to look like that they show in the images. Overall, it’s okay but still needs work. It would also be helpful if they got the desktop and the mobile platforms to match the look, feel and navigation. Very confusing try to go from one to another. This problem is not unique to TW, it just would have been nice it the software engineers worked together.

Easy to use but p/l quotes are often blank
I love this company for the variety of products and ease of use. My biggest complaint is that my P/L often shows up as blank and I have to restart the app usually several times to get a Quick Look at p/l. I don’t scalp and I don’t depend on instant quotes to make decisions (most of the time) but if you did it would not be good. Other than that that app is overall good. I think they should focus less on features and just work on cleaning it up and making it reliable again. I used to not have these issues but now it’s all the time. I still like this company and I’m not leaving.

Great options trading platform - could use better UI
In all - I love tastytrade! The instant options buying power + ACH’s clearing in a day usually is unbeatable across all the brokers I’ve used over the years. As an options trader, it is nice having options specific tools and interfacing - however I do believe that it could be cleaned up substantially. I find it quite difficult sometimes to just easily send orders / select what I want to trade. The platform/brokerage itself I’d give a 9/10 , however the user interface of the app could use a redo - thus I’d give the user interface a 3/10. Overall Score: 6/10 / 3-stars

Getting better
The mobile platform is improving, but there are still annoying bugs and missing features that make it lackluster compared to the desktop version. The biggest bug is that the net liquidity figure freezes and I have to close and relaunch the app every single time to reset it. Besides that, overall snappy and nice. The charts could use some more features - like basic indicators. The options grid is nice.

Solid but small bugs
Update on the new version: 1) Very crashy when moving between different stocks and charts. 2) Workflow is less efficient than it used to be. While charts are more easily modified for greater detail, changing between different views and setting some as defaults is not possible. All charts open as 5day view, 5m. Cannot save current view or set any alternatives as a default. 3) Good new look though and hogs below were addressed! Old review below. —————— App does most of the heavy lifting needed but some pet peeves main: account balance does not update consistently when trading some products even though P/L update in the position overview and app restart is required; working through the layer menus can be tedious as expected behavior would be that the overlays close automatically or vanish when tapping other part of screen; instrument selection can be buggy as sometimes multiple attempts are needed to get to options vs stocks.

On its way….
While I trade professionally on this app right now I sure wish some improvements could be made: one-click trading like on the desktop, easier making of Target + Stop brackets, automatically getting rid of replacement trades once prices have hit your original Target limit (ie, no need to exit your trade with the replacement market order because you just got out), getting rid of wash trade notifications when you are scalping…

Fast and East
I probably trade more on this app than on the desktop. Very quick and easy to use. Love the follow others trades feature. Great to clone from the tasty trade experts who are perfect and never make mistakes with their trades, at least 75% of the time. App lets me open close roll, leg in leg out quickly. I love the new order chains feature in mobile. It’s my default view now. Bring on mobile pairs trading next? Or more fancy P&L analysis tab views like in desktop?

The best, and keeps getting even better
Delightful app, packed with functionality. Tuned for option trading. Beautifully integrated follow trades. Just the right amount of features (compared to Thinkorswim, which is the only true competitor but is overly complex. The only weakness this app has is charts, which are as bare bones as it gets. You’ll find that even if you prefer to trade in Robinhood or some other commission-free app, you’ll use this app to set up the trades first. It’s excellent.

Really enjoying the experience
Just recently moved one of my portfolios over to TastyTrade (from SoFi… not really for traders, I don’t recommend it even if they do have some options functionality), and really like it so far. A couple of suggestions I have for the dev team: Please add the ability to trade an equity or ETF GTC_EXT… having to wake up before the market (Pacific time zone) in order to place these trades every day is a little old. I have the functionality on thinkorswim, would love to have it here. also, would like to have the option to do complex trades transactions such as OCO* that would help with building in a stop on positions or alternatively, a closing order for the profit. Thank you in advance for your consideration, and keep up the great work! *one cancels other

Missing significant items and problems.
1. Hard To Borrow notice on underlying 2. If I’m creating a closing order but pop out to check my tracking sheet, when I come back it’s changed the order from close to open. Have to delete a leg and put the same leg back on. 3. If you choose a sound for the desktop version, you don’t have any on the mobile. 4. I cannot read items that are red against the black background! These are the ones I can think of right now. PLEASE, PLEASE bring back the ability to look for a certain underlying on the trader page. It’s a way to see how trades evolve!

Best options and futures trading platform
Nothing beats TastyTrade and its sister company TastyWorks, it is the pinnacle of options trading for the retail investor. The TastyWorks mobile app is a work in progress, yet I can already do more with an efficient than I can with any competitive product or service (including TOS). Landscape mode for portfolios is now here, and I know that more is to come. My future request: Better support for iPad in landscape mode, inclusive of keyboard shortcuts.

So many glitches
These are 50/50 errors - roll the dice when you open the latest app update! Ridiculous. Data doesn’t load for contracts, portfolio doesn’t allow you to close directly from your position list, events & news glitches… this is a crazy amount of trouble for a company that also has glitches & missing features on their web & desktop apps for years now. And we STILL can’t group, or maybe have the platforms auto group :-O !? your positions for you. Love TW, but TT apps are sub-par. This latest update has me seriously considering moving my accounts elsewhere.

One issue that makes me want to change brokers.
A lot of times after hours the account and daily P/L change and gives us random out of park number. Could be to the upside or downside. This has been going on for months and no fix. For example, I have a an account that I am growing and putting money into it. After hours the P/L showed to be -80,000. I almost fainted but it has happened other times with -4,000 or + 3,000. This just gives me anxiety I don't need and looks very unprofessional. If you fix that you will get 5 stars.

New update is a step backwards
The watchlist buttons just look so bad now. And why can’t we select which things we want to see on our positions. I have Days total and Delta as my first 2 displays. How are we even supposed to change that now? I’m disappointed the UI continues to make small incremental changes instead of making it simpler and cleaner. While Robinhood stinks as a company, they set the pace for user interface. I just wish this app would take some lessons.

Simple yet sophisticated
For me the app is clean and organized the way I like it. Provides easy access to market data on the watchlist and to positions. Now I don’t usually carry more than 10 positions so that helps. Finally the trade page for me easily navigates option chains allowing for custom trades or uses the strategy selector. It does everything I need it too. Well done Tasty Trade.

Too frustrating .. even for a new account bonus.
I went through the trouble of opening glam account only to find out it just wasn't a really friendly UX and was super frustrating. I just left behind the new account bonus since I decided it wasn't worth b the frustration. Not to mention it wouldn't even let me find it after telling me I needed to. If the app was usable for me it would have been great since they offered a decent new account bonus but frustrated I wasted my time with jumping through hoops to find out it's not user friendly.

Great app
The app and service is great. The only complaint is the desktop app and the mobile app options chain do not match. The strike prices of options are backwards and I can see people making a huge mistake if they use one more often and one occasionally. What I mean in on the desktop app as you scroll down the strike prices increase, while on the phone app they decrease. I feel like they should match.

#1 futures broker
Let me start by saying I’ve had a half dozen trading accounts in my 20+ years of trading from my Scott trade, sharebuilder, tradeking days to more recently E*Trade, thinkorswim, and Schwab. Tasty has hands down the best service and (for me) the easiest platform to use for mobile and the new account promo is second to none! I trade primarily options and futures and the analyze tool is fantastic on desktop!

Love Tasty
TastyTrade has been a godsend for my options trading ability! So many new strategies, and intelligent ways to choose and manage trades! I was on the verge of retiring, then, when I got fully immersed with tastytrade, I quit and trading options is my only job now. I met Tom at the Austin symposium and I'm trading Futures Options too. The future is bright! I can't wait to hear that bell every morning! Thank you Tastytrade!

Platform support is amazing
The people behind tastytrade are great, the platform is easy to use. Futures and margin options are great as well. the only downside is that the P&L is inaccurate for multiple spread trades on a ticker. Also, they don’t trade the SPX after hours. Hope these couple of issues get resolved soon. I am a big fan for the past three years.

Great platform
Solid approximation of the desktop app, which is clearly the developers’ higher priority in terms of features, functionality, and hot fixes. There are some bugs that are irritating but ultimately not such a big deal. Zooming in on a chart often ends up swiping to the next tab (order chains). Doesn’t sound too bad until it happens a couple times in a row. Then it will drive you insane. The inability to set price alerts from the app is annoying, but that is ultimately a pretty small thing. One of the good things about the app is that those bugs that pop up eventually do get addressed, and as a result, the mobile app is a viable albeit very temporary substitute for the desktop app when you cannot be in front of a computer.

Rude & Mean People!
I never leave comments. But I could not resist at this time. I went in good faith and opened an account and I forgot where I was up to in the process. I therefore called in asking where I’m up to. I have the attitude I was given was third class. Literally I would never trust these people! Then I told him that it’s only your loss because I generate from my current brokerage $20,000 every month only in brokerage fees and we can ask me how I told him I can’t tell you my secret song he accuse me of lying, despite the fact that I was able to show with my statements.

Super fast and simple
Trading options is so simple and non restrictive, the UI is good on my iPad and overall good experience. They answered my call when I had a question about a trade as well. Hope the charting can become better on phone or iPad though! I use different apps for that and just post and manage my orders on this one

High skill cap, worth the effort!
This app is definitely more complex than its competitors (if you can call them competition), but the reward is high as you can create options setups that other platforms cannot conceive of. You also can access tasty tv which is at least as good as the home shopping network!!

I like the desktop and App
I like both the desktop and app with regards to putting on option positions quickly. But Tasty charges $1 per leg per option. Opening 10 verticals is way more expensive than some others. Closing costs are not complimentary either. This cost and fee structure may force my hand to a Fidelity or WeBull based on the saved money. The simplicity of the option trade table is adding up quickly.

Excellent, but one suggestion
Great experience using the TastyTrade app. My trades get filled and the software is excellent. One suggestion tot the tastytrade team… If you could add a price alert feature that would be helpful. I currently have to use another app to do it and it would be more simple if everything was on one platform

Good app for options trading with a few issue
The app is fast and great for multi leg options trading. However you still can’t group options by strategy like on the web browser version. If you trade many multi leg options it gets very clustered. Only other drawback is they charge for e&a while competitors are free. $5 per leg come on that’s robbery.

App freezes
TW is the best broker for options and its desktop is great. The phone App has a good design. The problem I have is it doesn’t always update. I just put a trade on on my desktop and it doesn’t show in my Position on the App. What I have to do is delete the App and reinstall it. I don’t know if this is only when trades are put on using my desktop but it is very annoying. Other than that, it is worth 5 stars.

Pros: Easy and quick placing trades. One $1+small fee to open options trade, and $0+small fee to close. Clean overview of the day’s trades, and you can click on the opening and closing trade to see the total p/l. Cons: Trades give a confirmation sound, even though I’ve disabled sounds. iPad app broken
As often as the iPad app is updated it is probably not possible to test it thoroughly, but considering it is used for investment, it should be. The latest iteration crashes on such a simple operation as request to show transactions from the previous days. As soon as anything else other than “yesterday” is chosen, the app crashes (iPad app, the iPhone app works). There are other problems as well (not updating timely) is one of the most glaring ones. Not useful for its intended purpose.
