Love this place and the app but my only issue is when you save your roll as a whole to your camera roll, it saves in a random order. Not the order that the roll was shot in. Minor gripe but would be a lot nicer if they saved in order!
I LOVE you but I’m begging for you to fix the app 😭
I saw another person also mention this frustration but the photos don’t save in the correct order when you save the whole album. Then on another note the app is buggy and will be in the middle of downloading images and freeze with 6 or 7 left to go, and because all the images are not in order, it’s a pain to figure out what pictures I didn’t get. Plz I love your film lab so much and how quickly the pictures get developed, the scan quality and everything is perfect but the app :((
I’m just getting back into film photography after about two decades of shooting digital. I’m so happy I found The Dark Room as my county no longer has any options for developing film. I’m even happier with The Dark Room app. It is Easy to use and basic in all the right ways. The app keeps me notified and up to date on all of my orders and easily lets me view my digital prints.
Bummed by the new update which makes a sleeker looking app, but unfortunately loses some aspects of the old app that I loved (plus I loved the low-key version - it was very simple looking and functional). Now when you download your photos to your phone, it doesn’t size them for social media as the old version did. So photos are too big and get cropped on Instagram, for example, and you need to use a second app if you wanna edit it to make it fit.
First, let me say I LOVE DarkroomLab. They have amazing service and are my go to developers for 35mm film. However, I can’t seem to log on to the app. I’ve changed my password multiple times and verified by logging into the website but the app still says it’s incorrect. This makes me sad because I was so excited to use their mobile app. That being said, I will continue to use the website until this error can be fixed.
I normally don’t write reviews! But I love this app. It’s such a nice feature to have early digital access while waiting for your hard drive and prints. I am newer to film but love utilizing with this app and recommending to others! Definitely an adorable option that
I was thrilled to see that my go to lab, The Darkroom, had made an app. The app is simple and easy to use. The layout is user friendly. I was extremely happy to see all my previous rolls on the app. Seeing all the untouched pictures together reminded me of the feeling I have when I first get the notification from the lab. I am having an issue currently with the ordering system. Since I’m new to the app, I might be doing something wrong myself. Then again, since this is the first iteration of the app, I’m sure it will be fixed promptly. Thanks to The Darkroom for making an app!
I’ve used Darkroom for several years now to develop my 35mm and I love the snot out of them! Can’t recommend highly enough and it’s my favorite part of finishing a roll of film 😂 So excited for the updates they just announced. Keep up the great work ❤️
The lab is great but the app not so much. It often locks up and I have to close and restart. Now I’m on my second complete delete and reload, we’ll see if that works. And, when it was partly working, there was constantly a badge notice on it, that I could not remove. Hope they can improve it, would make things very handy. Using an iPhone 13+ and it always has the latest updates.
I found a home for my film development and have no problem with utilizing the website. Although, having the app would be quite flexible and easier to access photos. It just shows a blank screen ?
The three stars is only for the app. Every time I try to download a full album it always misses a couple then I have to go back and re dowload the pics it missed
Tried resetting my password for the app, and it says I can enter my username or email address. However, I can’t type my full email address as there seems to be a 16 character limit.
Since 1976 The Darkroom has developed literally millions of rolls of film with experienced lab professionals and film enthusiasts This free app enables you to view your photos as soon as they've been scanned in the lab.
