Jackbox games are a favorite for me and my family - we were really hoping with this seventh party pack they would finally modernize the app and make it less annoying to navigate and use. But alas, it's just as counter-intuitive, buggy, and awkward as ever. For example on my laptop the sound only comes through the headphones regardless of the fact that the rest of the computer's sound is set to (and does go through) the computer speakers. Another - you can't access the game settings without quitting the game and starting over. It's a massive app (2.2 GB) loaded with unnecessary sounds and animations that don't really enhance game play but do slow it down. It defaults to full screen mode. It feels like the Mac app is an afterthought. Very disappointing because these type of games are perfect in these times - I just wish they made them less clunky.
If you are having issues with the game crashing, try restarting your device. It’s a simple solution, and it worked for me. Other than that, it’s a great game, and I play it all the time with my friends and family.
The games are great, but I was very surprised to see that buying any version of this app unlocked access on other platforms. I bought the iPad version but can also get it on my Mac without needing to purchase it again. Thanks for that!
Usually in each pack, there are 2-3 games that me and my friedns tend to avoid just 'cause we don't think there as fun as the other ones, but upon trying all of these games, we were elated to find out that we love every game!! definitely worth the buy~
Thanks for adding Universal Purchase. Please add it to the other Jackbox games!
I was happy to see this game included universal purchase. Please add it to the other games in the series. I want to play this over Zoom on my Mac or on my Apple TV in the living room. Thanks!
This game helps bring family and parties together. Great if you are terrible at throwing parties or generally a boring person. These games are most likely more fun than your personality, or anything in the "exploding kittens" franchise.
Of all the games I love quiplash the best. But also all the other games really bring everyone together. Such fun games to play with family and friends.
Just purchased this yesterday and the game will not Airplay or connect via HDMI at all. Incredibly disappointing. A waste of $30. Hoping for either a bug fix or a refund, as this was supposed to be a family game that is now completely unusable. I’m willing to repurchase for Switch, but I can’t afford two $30 purchases of the same game.
I just recently bought this game in hopes to play it with my family for the holidays. I am unable to open the game. It crashes as soon as I click on the app. I just spent 30 dollars on this and cant even play it. Ive made sure my laptop is up to date on the updates and still nothing. Would not recommend purchasing.
This game was horrible for my high school students. They couldnt guess clues about Mr Rogers, 2 out of 28 heard of the movie Spaceballs, it took 9 rounds of adults and children to guess one correct quiplash (little red riding hood) Really boring and not funny at all for the adults or for the kids that played. I once had "You don't know Jack" and that was funny and fast paced and interesting. I was hoping that spirit could be found here. These are really slow games, theres no comedy, and not one round went by where people didn't audibly go, "huh? nooooooo"
installed it but can’t get the game to open! waste of money. I enjoy playing on the switch but wanted to purchase on my Mac so I could zoom a game night but dosen’t look like that will happen now.
Got this for my daughter’s birthday, and it’s kind of tragic. The best new game is unplayable because of crashes. I’m playing it on a pretty recent 4K AppleTV, so there’s really no excuse - even the most slipshod beta testing should’ve discovered bugs this bad.
I love the new Champ'd Up game, but there's a HUGE BUG. When someone runs out of time and doesn't submit, the whole game freezes and has to be restarted. TERRIBLE. Totally ruins the experience. You guys need to fix this ASAP.
Way too complex game play. We were hoping for more games like Party Pack 1: Easy, fast, fun. Jackbox 7 games are far too complex and the learning curve too steep.
Blather round keeps crashing after first correct guess I can’t scroll options then it goes blank on jack box.tv Champd up crashes if not everyone finishes their prompt, pictures are horribly compressed on the tv from drawings and that’s If they show up on the tv most of the time it’s blank with tag in The jack box.tv interface is extremely slow and does not tolerate Land scape shifting making it impossible to press submit Needs more qa testing
