The aesthetic of this game is beautiful. I’ve been looking for a farming game, but aesthetic is very important for me to keep my interest. People who say this game is slow moving/going do not know how to play this game. It is energy based but I hardly ever have problems with getting energy. You can get energy from various aspects of the game (Tetris, clouds, food, selling items, gifts from game daily, etc). There are also no ads unless you want to watch them to either get more energy or Tetris pieces. But you do not need ads to progress in the game. You also do not need in ad purchases to progress in the game. I’m excited to see how this game will evolve. I hope there will be more decorations and to make decorations more personal and personalized (maybe more color options for decorations like there is with the houses). The only thing I do not like is the edit feature. There is no edit mode so it does make it a little more tedious to decorate your island, but I’m sure they will add this feature. I would like to one day be able to visit my friend’s islands and maybe have my own little cat avatar. For how new this game is I am throughly impressed with this game so far and recommend it to my fellow cat lovers.
Low key.. the best game app out there. so much so, that I almost fear, by even writing this, I might be putting the integrity of the game in jeopardy- For if the creators might read this and decide to charge. But as it is, it is the most consistently engaging game I’ve ever experienced in a phone app. There’s enough plot that you feel like there’s purpose for what your doing and while also giving you reasonable controls over the creativity of how you design your island in a humble and appreciated way. A bit of freedom of choice mixed with freedom from choice. And you can tell the DEVs are working on it. Never have I once been upset by a server crash, for the mere reason that I know there’s a team out there working on something awesome. It’s new and evolving, and time is as valuable as money. You can choose to pay for things, I haven’t, because I do not allow myself such little joys. But I should, if I’m honest, because they are so cool for giving us this. I should give back. We should give back. Top Notch Game!
It has the elements for a great long term game but does have room for improvement. The initial start is friendly and explains all the mechanics but the energy drain quickly hits most players. It takes a full energy bar to clear single large resource blocks with some maps often requiring multiple days use of energy to progress the exploration quests. That said there are ways to bypass the slow build up of energy such as cooking and leveling your character. Cooking seems like a good approach but the highest energy I can get at my level(13) restores less then a 1/3 of what it takes to remove a large boulder or a large tree. Some cooking recipes also take multiplied steps and large amounts of ingredients making the early game items more valuable then later game such as pumpkin which serves little purpose currently. Regardless of energy balance the game is very addictive to unlock and expand the areas. I would like to be able to decorate and place buildings closer. Decorations would be better if they could overlap the squares for buildings to appear on the side of the houses for example. Overall still a very fun game and fits with casual gamers.
This is a great game! It has a similar mechanic to some other games, such as Klondike, where are you use energy that builds up over time to explore and gain resources. However, it does not have the really annoying features that most of those games have. in most of those games you can explore one region outside your home base at a time, and when you move onto a new one the old one closes. But not this game! You can keep going back to get the resources that are there. I love that. Even the ads are not annoying in this game! in so many games the ad timer runs, then you hit an X and a window pops up and you click done and then you wait five more seconds to hit a teeny tiny X again and hope you don’t miss and get the pop up window again. Not in this game. The timer ticks down, you click the X, and you’re back to the game. Plus the cats are adorable. :) This is the best game of its type I have found so far.
It’s a cute game. Kind of like Hey Day, but cats. However I can’t give it mor than 3 stars because it is either extremely slow to play, as in it takes days to build up enough energy to make significant progress, or it is very expensive, as in one must use IRL money to speed up game play to tolerable levels. I only play the cat island game in between times I play my big console games. Compared to a console game that I’ve paid $60 for basically lifetime play, the same $60 would get about 30 minutes game time. Update: I’ve spent my app game budget for the month on this game. At just over $20 I made it to level 10. This is very expensive to play. I’ve played app games where the same $20 would get me to level 100+. I won’t be spending any more money on this. There are just too many games to play that are just as fun and a better bargain. In todays economic climate, with gas at $5 a gallon, the developers will start to lose money very soon because players won’t have large discretionary funds like they did pre-Covid.
I love the cuteness of this game! I check up on it a couple times a day to collect my items and progress in the story line, and usually there is a good amount to do so the game doesn’t feel at all too grindy. Its definitely a game that balances slowly discovering secrets, building an aesthetic island, and collecting cute cats! My only complaint so far is that I feel I don’t have enough time or resources to collect the points needed to unlock the special structures or items in each area. In order to progress, since you have to close the previous area, I don’t even get close to collecting all the points (and some of the items are so cute!) but still want to progress in the storyline! Will there be an ability to reopen previous areas so we can go back and open more chests? Thanks for the wonderful game, it’s definitely a keeper so far.
I downloaded this game in thoughts of it being like Gardenscapes, but this game is totally different! It has such cute characters and land designs and the story is really interesting for me! I especially love how players who can’t purchase upgrades with real money can still play normally without too much of a hassle. The only thing I would like for this game is to be able to go back to previous islands to collect the artifacts! It takes a while for me to get enough keys to open chests, so I could only get a few before having to move onto the next island. Also I hope that it would be easier to get keys as well! Other than that, I’d say this game is near to perfection! I can’t wait to see how this game improves in the next couple of years! Great job! :))
Super cute and incredibly addicting, I love all the different crafting and decorating mechanics, but I agree wholeheartedly with other reviewers saying the pacing is very very slow. You can still make progress on your own island pretty frequently and quickly, but you can only have one area of the map open at a time for some reason? Meaning you have to completely finish opening all the chests on those 2-3 islands (which takes FOREVER without spending money) before you can progress the story, or forfeit access to the unique decorations from that map section forever, which seems strange to me. Also, there’s only one game to play to earn energy, and it gets boring REAL quick. It’s still a good game and I will continue to play it, but I look forward to future updates fixing these issues and adding more content!
The graphics/art style of this game is beautiful and has a wonderful charm. It’s incredibly relaxing and the plot is easy to follow. I usually find myself unable to pay attention to story lines, but this one is very simple and engaging. I do have some problems with the game, but that’s natural. For starters, the energy cost is very high. Clearing one obstacle can use my entire energy bar, but because i need to collect materials with energy I can’t make food to recover my energy. I also dislike the fact that you can’t place small decorations close to buildings. I want to be able to place billboards or birdhouses right next to a house instead of having to keep said item 3 squares away. The game has charm, cats, and farming… what more could I ask for?
I really like this game, it has a great mix of idle and active playing, which is very nice for someone like me who doesn’t have too much time to play but when I do, there’s the right amount of stuff to do. A more relaxed farming game where there aren’t countdown events that require to play 24/7 or idle time that requires of hours wait in between. An awesome bonus is the lack of ads !! there are only optional ads for getting more energy or blocks for the arcade game- so u won’t really have to watch them. The only thing that is a bit frustrating is that the decoration is a little hard. Mostly because the edge of the map is jagged and things that are square cannot fit. Otherwise, it’s an awesome game I recommend !! 😍
I love games like these, but usually they slow down after reaching a certain level or require a player to eventually spend actual money in order to move on….NOT THIS GAME. Game play is fun and easy, quests are challenging but not too challenging and allow a player to move at their own pace.. upgrades happen fairly quickly and so do productions, so it’s easy to level up quickly and get tasks and quests done. Just enough to do without feeling overwhelming, and without spending a lot of out of pocket money. This is my one go-to game for fun AND relaxation…. The graphics are cute too 😊
So far I love the game. I love that you spent the time to give the cats different walks and runs and giggle at how milky runs! A few suggestions: first, I would love to see the piggy bank be a permanent, refillable feature. Also, I like that you give lots of options to renew energy, but it is way too little considering some of the obstacles take 50-60 to collect. I’m at level 21 and only have 85 max energy on the bar. Even with other ways of getting energy there probably needs to be doubled in order for anyone to be able to play any amount of time more than a few minutes. Also, you should give bonus like experience or material if you clear an island. Also why do you close previous islands? Especially with limited energy I would have loved to revisit them and cleared them. Lastly, I wish I could catch what the visiting cats say. It goes away too quickly. I would love to be able to click on the cats as they walk around and see the comments. Also I would love to be able to click on the items that comes up in pop-up boxes that we win or get in order to know what they are. I hope to see more stories!
I have been playing this game since it first released today. So far it’s really cute, doing quest, the storyline dialog is interesting, just have to be really careful on how you spend your energy and use it wisely. You can earn energy by doing quest, mini arcade, chests, cooking the food and eat for energy. There are few ways as I stated above to earn energy for free. It may take time. It’s not something for you to spend all day playing. I think it’s just something to play for short time during breaks. Overall it’s really cute game especially when I love cats.
Mysterious storyline, uncovering the secrets of the island. The game is super cute, not glitchy, easy to pinch and zoom around the island. I love trying to collect all the cute cats. Ad watching is optional for extra resources. Even milling and building materials takes about 20 minutes to source. my only gripe is ‘dirt’ is only found from expending most/all of your energy to break large rock mounds. (And even then, you only get about three pieces maybe.)This whole island is covered in grass and collectible bushes, but dirt is only available through trading and rocks? Game is a placeholder for energy regeneration in my other games but I want it to be number one
I really like the look of the game. My problem is the progression goes to snail’s pace very quickly. You’re tasked with giving rarer materials almost immediately even though you haven’t had a chance to acquire them. I’m turned off by the amount of purchases that get shoved in your face. As much as I would like to support the devs, I simply can’t afford to put a whole lot of money I don’t have. The energy situation is also pretty annoying. Having to mine for materials could wipe out your entire energy supply in one click. I’m sure as time passes this game will improve on some of these features and will continue to give it time. I really liked Dear My Cat.
Super chill, with an interesting story and cute bipedal cats. There’s a lot to do and lots of requirements, but it doesn’t really get boring—a rare accomplishment. There’s always something that you can do to help the main characters in their exploration of the charming Cat Island, with plenty of other things going on in the background to keep the ball rolling. You never have to worry about not having anything to do in the game [but remember to moderate and take breaks]. You don’t even have to purchase anything in-game to make leaps and bounds of progress. Honestly, this game is great. =w=b
The style is lovely and the integration of a grid and limited rotation in the furniture I think is great for keeping CPU usage on the phone down and for me personally, helps me push the boundaries of how I wish to decorate within limited rules. I love the simplistic art style and the cute storylines I’ve played so far, along with the ability to play the game without spending money. (Which ironically is the reason I was willing to spend money on it to begin with) My only suggestion for future updates might be to create an option to delete furniture(maybe for a small gold amount maybe not) because after awhile of gathering furniture it has begun to clutter up and unfortunately slow up my phone. I think it would be a great option to have as it could lower data on each server and help users keep their items organized. That’s the only issue I have! Otherwise I think it’s a lovely game 💕
The game is very relaxing and cute, and I enjoy playing it in my spare time between work to keep my mind occupied while winding down at the same time. I do wish energy restorative items and games would be more affective than they currently are, but the energy restoration system doesn't take away from the experience in a significant manner. The characters are adorable, the music is calming, and the gameplay is simple. If you're a fan of cutecore aesthetics and looking for a mindless worthwhile free-to-play game, you've found it.
It’s very beautiful and you always have something to do. I’ve been playing their previous game for years now and then switched to this one! I adore it!!! There’s so much to do; garden, explore, cook, decorate, craft, and more?! I adore my little dragon I have in my island I always feed him all the extra berries! As for Ads they don’t force them on you! It’s only if you’re really running low on stuff they offer help and it’s all up to you if you want to watch some ads! I love it and this company try both their games! :3
I got this game on a whim, and I am so happy I did. It’s a game that is easily played without having to spend money. It’s even pretty easy to rush through without spending money, but you will regret this later on. Pro Tip: take your time gathering resources from other islands before moving on. It will help you later in the game. Besides that, each character has a background you can read whenever you please and the graphics are very pleasing and cute. 10/10 would recommend
Without spoiling too much: when you are finally allowed to upgrade your manufacturing facilities (mason shop, woodworking shop, etc.) to Level 2, only upgrade ONE (1) of each facility, otherwise you will be completely stuck and have to restart your game. The developers only place enough of the material you need to upgrade one (1) of each facility and still progress the game. I was stuck in a loop where you needed the material to upgrade the building, and you needed to upgrade the buildings and complete the tasks on the main island before moving on in the new map area. And for a game which relays on people buying energy and materials, it boggles my mind that this was the ONLY time I’ve seen so far where I couldn’t just pay $.99 to get out of the situation. Endless events and skins for the house, sure, they’ll happily charge you for it, but for something actually useful? No, why would they do that? Don’t be me and have to start all over again.
I downloaded this game because I really liked their other game Dear My Cat. I like the concept and the game set up. The major downside is advancing in this game is very slow unless you make frequent purchases. I don’t mind spending a little money on a game per month. I’ve made a few purchases to gain levels and I enjoy this developer and want to support them but you have to spend A LOT to really level up at a moderate pace. I hope they continue to make more updates to this game as I do really like this developers other game. I do encourage more people to give this game a try despite its slow game play.
Super calming to play but it somehow manages to not be boring at all. It’s generally eventful and needless to say, I’m totally in love with our main characters, Nana and Muna! The graphics are just as beautiful as they were in ‘ Dear my cat ‘ Can’t wait to see what comes next on cat island ! To say the least, I am enjoying my experience. I often find games w/ storylines or goals to be frustrating, but, fortunately enough, not this time. If you’re thinking of getting this game, just go for it. 5 stars might not be enough.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite games. I love the look of the game and the gameplay is pretty good. The story is kind of a lot of text dumped all at once, but other players probably won't mind it. The biggest thing I really want added is the ability to partially harvest an object. For example, use your 10 energy to bring a 50 energy object down to 40 and then continue chipping away at it until it is gone. This would make the game so much better and make big objects less daunting. Overall, beautiful game of cute cats on an island!
I love this game. It’s super cute, easy to play and there is plenty to do! The energy system, while annoying like in most games with similar systems, gives you plenty of workarounds. If you take time to click on each decoration as you go, sometimes improving or upgrading a simple decoration can add up to a lot of energy. The idea to add a mini game to earn energy is also nice. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this game continues to grow and evolve!
I was pretty happy with the game at the beginning, they give you lots of energy so you can progress with the story and clean the main island to build buildings pretty fast. But after first island, the progression becomes super slow with just ~50 energy given (one boulder to clear is 50 energy) so it became very boring instantly. It became a game where you get in, clear a few plants and trees (or one rock boulder) and thats it.. can turn off the game. The material exchange became increasingly unfair. Askng for more materials and rarer materials for pretty much the same reward… So unless you pour real money in this game, i suggest avoiding it.
So I have been playing since last night and my game crashes. I know it happens with games everywhere. The problem I’m having is I got to the priest house earlier today and made it to the part where you meet the village leader and get the rain ceremony quest. It crashed there after i received the quest and when I re-opened the game I had to clear my way back to the village AND ON TOP OF THAT I can’t even enter the village because my game says I need to do the rain ceremony quest but it won’t let me into the village! It says unreachable and there is nothing in my way!!!! What am I suppose to do .-. I can’t continue in the game.
The graphics are adorable, the story is cute, the deco and crafting is fun but I can still only give this three stars. When a single action (multiples of which are needed to progress in the storyline) takes 50 energy and my max is 57, that’s just far too much. I want to play this game, but I can only do so in increments of about 30 seconds every three hours. Also, as others have mentioned, Fufu’s requests are too expensive considering what you get in return - especially from the chests. Work on balancing the game a bit more. I want to love it, but it’s just not there yet.
The spacing of the objects weren’t so unnecessarily large. I love sim games and a big draw for me is decorating and spacial planning. Some items just take up too much space for no good reason. The map’s edge is jagged and randomly juts in and out in places that don’t make sense so it’s not optimal to plan fencing for example. It’s a lot of wasted space. Overall, the game is beautiful and the mechanics are simple yet satisfying. I just wish it wasn’t so aggravating to plan the layout because nothing fits the way I’d like it to.
I love this game! The cats are so cute and the game play is great! This has been my favorite game for about six months or so. Pros: -Cute graphics! -lots of npcs that you can befriend -diversity in islands you visit, food you make, and event themes -cute collectable decorations -many options to obtain more energy: Unlike some energy based games where I quickly hit a “lack of energy wall” I feel like I can really sit and play this game for hours. The game is set up to allow you to easily replenish energy if you keep playing. Cons: -the side events are not scaled based on your level. This makes them harder to complete for early game players with smaller energy caps where you cannot bank as much energy. Not sure if this is a feature that could even be scaled though.
I usually don’t play these types of games but I said screw it and I’m glad I did. This game uses action points like other games in the genre but in this game you can easily replenish them within minutes, Seconds even! It’s not filled with promotions or forced ads either. It takes pay to play and throws that out the window. It’s play to have fun and chill. As of writing this review it is 7pm on a stressful Friday and my brain is mush.
I love this game, really cute and relaxing and it doesn’t bother me with ads and constant in-game purchase options unlike a lot of other mobile games. Plus, everyone is a cat, which in itself is awesome. You can unlock buildings, materials, decor, etc. by playing the game and it is energy based but you can earn energy really easily and watch ads for extra stuff. 10/10 mobile game.
This game is actually super cute, and pretty entertaining. Only downside I would say is I find some of the cats responses to be slightly passive aggressive. I would also like to see more decoration options or a few more color choices at least. And also it would be nice if I could have my own avatar. Overall tho good game 9.5 out of 10. And for some reason I can’t use my Apple Pencil, and that’s slightly frustrating.
I love the new update features, it’s nice to see them taking care of the app and working on improving it. I think it has wonderful potential for growth. Would like to see it available on iPad and at least one aspect where you can keep playing without waiting, mainly for when I stream my gameplay so I don’t run out of things to do and my community to get bored .
I was looking for a relaxing game to play and I have found it! The aesthetics of the game are beautiful, and there is plenty to do in this game from cooking, cleaning up the area, crafting, completing tasks, etc….You can tell the developers put a lot of time and effort into this game. They are also very quick to respond if you have issues like the game not loading or crashing! Everyone should be playing this game!
I downloaded the game today and started playing - I loved it! It was engaging fun well paced and adorable- that is until I had to attempt to download added data for the desert map, where it kept freezing at 1%. I checked my phones storage- not the issue, the connection to my phones data was fine as was the WiFi connection. I looked in the customer care section and couldn’t find any way to fix it either. I’m going to attempt to delete and re download it but I’m really disappointed. Hopefully no one else has this problem so soon into the game

This is a rather short-review but I’ve had this game for a while ever since it came out and its really popular now! Although I haven’t played in forever im sure its better than it ever was! I really like cat games mostly because I have seven cats and me and my grandma foster. This is the purrrrfect game to relax with! I hope in the future this is one of the no.1 games. I’m not too deep into the game yet, but I can easily waste like half an hour to an hour just playing this game, which I’m not complaining about! It’s really cute, easy farming mechanics, and there’s a lot of things that you can do in the game for energy. Which is nice, since it feels like with other games you’d have to buy outright or watch a ton of videos to get more energy. Would recommend!!
I love this game. I was expecting it to be like all the other games and you would have to buy a bunch of hearts or could only play once a day because of lack of resources but in this game you are always doing something. I would recommend this game to everyone. I’ve been playing it for the past 2 hours and never got bored. Everyone should at least try this game.
This game feels like a paid game. It’s beautiful, polished, and the storyline is intriguing. There’s farming, building, and anything you could ask for. If there’s any way to support the devs with the awesome app theyre creating besides in app purchases I’d love to do so!! I’m definitely willing to spend money on it, but it’s by no means pay to play. You have to grind a bit, so be prepared for that, but it’s really just an incredible and calming experience.
I love it is very surprising and I have a little bit of that need tweaking sooo I would like to that I just started yesterday but I would like say the tent we should be able to make our own house since at Boeing you have and your have a house if kinda we should be able to make our own house since we have the knowledge to make our friend’s house ❤️😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 but it is sooooo good love it recemond
Im autistic and have been looking for a good cat based game for AGES and this is it! I love the art style and color theme of this game its beautiful. i also really enjoy the fact that there are no in app purches NEEDED to conplete! id really enjoy seeing maybe an option to customize your own cat ? I think itd be a good addition, howerver i am about to open the new update and im excited to see how it goes!
Very cute and relaxing game so far! Soothing. What’s frustrating and very disruptive though, is the never-ending tutorial and 24/7 pop ups of conversation bubbles. I can’t even play the game straight for longer than 30 seconds. And it’s not just the opening tutorial, I’m at level 5 and the dialogue is still constant! I highly suggest the developers offer players the option to turn OFF the never-ending convos. At least for a bit. It’s exhausting …
I love this game, it doesn’t give you everything immediately which gives it a satisfying edge as you work your way through the plot. I recommend this and that’s coming from someone who gets bored super easy, I’ve been playing it for close to a year now and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!
This game is adorable and absolutely the best game on my device. It’s always good to improve though! That being said; something I’d like to see is an open map where all the islands you’ve unlocked stay open. I feel like that would make the game 5 stars and I really hope someday that happens. Aside from that I love this game so much and the characters are so adorable! Perfect for any age. One of my top 2 favorite games🥰😻🤩
This game is really cute but as of a few updates ago it crashes constantly, like when you travel to different islands or try to view your collections. Also you have to tap through at least 5 slow pop ups every time the app opens which is extra annoying. Please do something about the pop ups and crashing and I would gladly give this game 5 starts again!
As a huge fan of Dear My Cat, this game is consistent with the previous games: the aesthetic, the music, artwork, everything. It is so well put together and the ads aren't intrusive at all. The in-game purchases arent in your face, and as far as im concerned, this game seems to have lore that backs up the first game. And that alone only makes me want to play more. Thoroughly impressed, keep it up guys!!!
It takes a lot of work just to get one key and sometimes it can take a bit of work to build up energy. Would be nice if there was another arcade game you could win keys or more energy in. Also, it’s disappointing that the teacup ride and flap flap fishing become decorations after producing energy 30 times each. With al the work it took to get them, they should make energy continuously with a repair every couple of productions.
I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for a game before, but I had to for this one. This is a delight- from the graphics, to the music, the story line and the cute characters. There’s always something to do and so many ways to replenish energy without spending cash. Is this the perfect game? If not, it’s really close. A truly pleasant experience.
