The Short Years baby book app is absolutely genius! I’m a first time mom with a 10 week old and there is no way that I would have completed this much of my daughter’s baby book already if it weren’t for the ease and convenience of The Short Years app. The notifications from the app to answer a question are so helpful in keeping me on track with completing the book. I knew that a traditional baby book would never work for me since I am a perfectionist and so I started looking for a digital baby book or an app & came across this one. There was no way that I would set time aside to sit and write each entry (while also making sure my handwriting was perfect), so the fact that the app is on my phone & I always have my phone on me makes it so easy to complete questions. I also love that you can edit the answers and you control when they are sent to be printed. There are several questions already that I have edited my response to multiple times. In addition to the app being wonderful, the baby book itself is a beautiful book! I opted for the additional keepsake envelope & have so far used it to hold baby shower invites, hospital bracelets and the footprints from the hospital. I can’t wait to have a finished baby book when my daughter turns 1 and that is all thanks to The Short Years app! I would 100% recommend this to anyone on the fence - it is well worth the money!
I will be a first-time mom and between my job and everything else going on in life, I was worried I would not be able to keep up with a baby book, which was creating a lot of anxiety and guilt. I’m also the kind of person who does not particularly enjoy writing (not to mention I HATE my own handwriting), and I’m also not a fan of those traditional/cutesy baby books. I was looking for an app that was not only quick and painless, but would also give me a beautiful and professional looking product at the end. I wanted something to proudly display in my living room that doesn’t scream “baby”. The Short Years is perfect if you love the minimalist feel as it’s very simple, clean, and presents a really beautiful layout. I am still building my first chapter so haven’t had anything printed just yet, but I love that I can preview my pages beforehand and know what they’ll look like when shipped to me. I also love that I only pay a one-time charge in the beginning and that is it—there’s no monthly fee like you find with other apps. You just tell them when you’re ready to have your pages printed and they ship it for free. I feel confident that I’ll actually be able to complete a book for my first child which I know will be enjoyed by family and friends for years to come. Thank you for taking away the burden and making this an enjoyable task for busy moms!
I will buy The Short Years baby book for all of my babies and will give as the perfect baby shower gift always because The Short Years baby book/app has accomplished exactly what it set out to do, give you convenience and memories documented in the cutest way. As a first time mom, I seriously underestimated the lack of sleep I would be getting due to babies wake up cycle to eat and being able to get prompts done on my phone while breastfeeding is a GAME CHANGER. Having to choose to skip documenting your little one due to not having the time (or energy) to print pictures and paste them in a book and hand write prompts is so sad but honestly so realistic. If I didn’t have the short years app, I would have a very bare and incomplete documentation of my Emmy due to the lack of sleep and time to myself to get it done. The Short Years App/book is such a perfect way to capture my little girl. My book is current, I can easily get done prompts while she’s nursing or sleeping and I just scroll and add pictures. I don’t have to worry about remembering to buy the pages and pick them up, it gets delivered and ITS PAID FOR already. Seriously, it can’t get easier than this. And my book is so so beautiful. It looks like I spent so much time on it. It’s perfect in every way. I’m so so grateful I chose to use this book! The Short Years is my hero!
Great for All Types of Parents and Birth/Postpartum Situations
My son was unexpectedly born at 24 weeks and spent the first 8 months of his life in the NICU before he was able to come home. Most baby books have set prompts that can be triggering for parents with birth and postpartum situations that don’t fit what is typically expected when having a baby. As I worked on my son’s baby book in this app during his hospitalization, it meant a lot that I could edit the prompts to be whatever made sense for us given our circumstances of having holidays in the hospital and having different types of milestones. I also appreciate that this baby book offers the option to include chapters on infertility and NICU stay since these are meaningful chapters for my family’s journey and the journeys of many others. Working on this while my son was hospitalized, really helped me get through the hard times and gave me something positive to focus on. I genuinely have so much love for this baby book, and the ease of use of this app, that I’ve told so many other NICU mom’s about it too. I’m so glad this exists and recommend it to parents of all situations! My son is 13 months (9 months adjusted) now, but I had already purchased the toddler years and will be adding their products for documenting memories of school-age children in the future!
This concept is an excellent idea. I have so many “memory” type books and journals that require you to write your responses in. I don’t think I’ve finished a single book and now they sit half filled out on a bookshelf. Having an app that splits the questions up into just a few weekly prompts is beyond helpful! I had so much mom guilt leading up to the birth because I hadn’t purchased a baby book yet. Researching different books knowing I wouldn’t be able to fill them out entirely was exhausting and causing me some anxiety and guilt. I stumbled upon this app and book concept and knew this was something I could manage! I love the simple design of the book, the ability to add many pictures (straight from your phone!!), and the types of prompts it asks you. Know I can fill out my daughter’s baby book from the drive thru, bathtub, early morning feeds, etc. It has been wonderful and I no longer feel guilty about not having something for her to look at when she is older. A bonus is that my husband can log on and answer some of the questions/add pictures, too. I have recommended this app to my other soon-to-be-mommy friends and will continue to do so. Thank you!!!
I love the fact that I will ACTUALLY complete a baby book for my daughter because of this. So for that, it’s worth it. That being said, once the package is purchased, you basically receive a $15 3-ring binder as a baby book. Granted it’s nice looking (in a you probably “purchased this binder from target, not Walmart” kind of way), but at this price point, leather or even something similar (even pleather!?) that might hold up better than cardboard would probably be appreciated. I went all in and purchased the toddler years etc. Again, for simplicities sake, it’s beneficial. Execution wise, it looks like I purchased a 3 ring binder photo book from Target 🤷🏻♀️. That being said, there’s probably an idea there for another upsell to a more premium version of the book that doesn’t feel like a target purchase. I know they’re selling the contents. But since those are non-customizable (and I’m the one doing alllll the work to make this happen by just plugging things into their algorithm), it feels like I spent a lot of $ for something that’s very run of the mill. Again, easier than old school scrapbooking, but I guess that’s what I paid for. Not sure I’d do it again. For the money and very little more effort on my part, I could have an extremely nice baby book in the future.
I was highly recommended this product by a friend. She regretted not knowing about this with her first child because she is now trying to fill in and remember all the milestones when she’s already 1 year old! I purchased this for myself when I was still pregnant with my first child. I was able to get a head start on the first sections and get myself familiar with the app before my little one made her arrival. Now it’s so easy to just grab my phone and record all the little milestones she’s quickly going through! Whenever I’m feeding, on-the-go, or just holding her while watching tv, I just easily open the app and fill in small parts of the book. It literally only takes a few minutes out of your day. I love seeing the pages build as I go! And once I’m ready to have my pages printed and mailed, it only takes a click of a button. It’s such a useful and simple product that allows you to capture all those special moments of your child’s life as they happen. And to be able to easily translate those memories into a book that you can keep forever?? Amazing!! Definitely gifting this to those expecting mother’s in my life.
I absolutely love this method of building a baby book. It’s exactly the app I would have designed for myself! As a new mom who bought all the fancy baby books and never opened them one time, this was the perfect way to ensure I could actually contribute to building a beautiful baby book in the those wild first newborn months. Each chapter is only a few pages and very manageable to tackle in little bits. I love that it sends pages to you as you finish three chapters so you are always contributing and never holding back for that feeling of “perfectly done.” I love the options to download the final book, reprint pages if you make a mistake, or order extra pages for photos or text (perfect for “dear baby” letters or journal entries!). I built this book in those late night nursing sessions when I could only reach my phone. It also saved me from organizing photos to print and tape into a book, this is straight from phone to printed page. I love this app and they have so much room to grow in the future like more flexible photo collage options, photo cover image, custom pages, and more.

I am so happy I took the leap and bought this book. The book itself is beautiful. The pages are so simple & elegant. I love that the app just asks you the questions and it fills it in accordingly. It is so straight forward and easy to use. I also loved that you just pay for the book up front and then that’s it. You just order the pages (no extra cost) as you go. I’ve had no trouble with pages being bent when being shipped. I did have to contact customer support about an error I made and a concern I had of why I had made that error and they were very helpful and sent me a new page with the correction at no extra cost. Can’t beat that for customer support. Not going to lie, I was hesitant at first because there’s just something about handwriting in a book.... BUT I firmly believe had I bought a regular baby book, I would have never picked it up and wrote in it. With the app, I can pick my phone up anywhere, anytime and answer a few easy questions. I love that they just added the toddler years as well. I would (and have) recommend The Short Years to my friends!!! Also, a great gift idea!!!!
I got The Short Years for ease of use on my phone and the reminders to complete weekly prompts. Since all my photos are on my phone, it streamlines everything and makes me feel like I’m really documenting my daughter’s life thoroughly. When we received the first 3 printed chapters, I noticed the photos printed quite dark (noticeably darker than the original photos on my phone). I reached out to customer service and they responded very quickly. First, they sent me reprints, which were unfortunately still dark. They didn’t give up and never blamed the quality of my photos. Instead, they kept investigating until they found an issue in their new printing process that was impacting me and other customers. As a result, they were able to quickly correct the issue and send reprints to all impacted customers including me! They communicated with me throughout the resolution process. I received new reprints yesterday and they are SO great! The color and quality look exactly like I expected and hoped. I’m excited to receive future chapters!
My whole life, my mom told me (her first child) that she started my baby book and never finished it because it was too much work to remember to add all the pictures and milestones. I may have held a little grudge for the 32 years of my life so far and swore to myself that I would absolutely complete a baby book for my kids. Well fast forward to now at 8 months pregnant. I bought a baby book for my little when I first got pregnant, and wouldn’t you know I just realized I haven’t done a single one of the “before baby” questions. In comes The Short Years! I’ve seen other similar concepts but this is by far the most modern and “insta-worthy” book of its kind! I found it last week and ordered the book as soon as I saw the app. I was able to complete the first chapter in a matter of maybe 15 minutes with pictures all laid out for me and I never have to worry about going to the drug store to print copies of pictures to put in. Simply a genius product!! This will be my go-to baby shower gift! Now I wish they’d create a lifestyle (think vacations or school years) or wedding version!!!
I knew I wanted to start a baby book for my first child, but was stressed about having enough time. The Short Years Baby Book is the only reason I am able to keep up with a baby and toddler book for all of my children. I found this book when my first child was 10 months old, and I have never questioned whether I would do it for the rest of my children. I love that it gives you prompts to make it easy; just answer the questions and select your photos, and you will have a beautiful baby book in the end. I love that it asks for information and memories that I never would have thought to write down. I just finished this book through my oldest child’s 5th birthday, and I plan on doing it for each of my children. This book is more expensive than another baby book you could find on a store shelf today, but it is well worth the investment. If someone were to ask me what my favorite baby item is, I would say The Short Years Baby Book and App. You will not keep that expensive stroller or bassinet forever, but you will keep this memory book with you.
I purchased The Short Years Baby Book as a recommendation from a friend who knew I needed a beautiful way to document our memories. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a Pinterest mom. I would love to be, but I have neither the time or organizational skills. I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that my baby wouldn’t have a baby book until a coworker recommend The Short Years. The app was super easy to use and I like that I could also edit in the page preview mode so I knew exactly what it would look like. The binder itself looks great and I’m thrilled with how the first six chapters have come out. The only thing I could even think to change would be glossier, heavier paper, but that’s a high level critique. Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with my baby book! It is a beautiful and thorough memory of my son’s first months and, because I got the toddler expansion, it’ll one day be a memory of his first years. I can’t recommend this book enough. P.S. I once had a couple pages arrive damaged (probably due to shipping). I emailed customer service and heard back within a few hours. The immediately reprinted and sent replacement pages. So friendly and easy!
I am a first time mom and panic-researched baby book options driving home from the hospital because starting a baby book had completely slipped my mind. The Short Years seemed like a safe option so I decided to commit and give it a try. I am 10 months in now and very satisfied with my choice and purchase. The product is high quality and results in a beautiful, aesthetic baby book. The format makes it easy to complete and hard to overthink. The app is also fairly user friendly. My main feedback primarily relates to the app. It sometimes is buggy and I wish there were more options for customization (for example, page layouts or being able to add text to photo pages that doesn’t cover the photo). But perhaps the lack of customization also leads to not overthinking which saves me time. And I couldn’t forget to mention that when I have had problems and contacted customer support, they have been very responsive. I would definitely recommend this baby book.

Spent a long time thinking about what was realistic for me when it came to recording memories of my little one. My hand writing stinks. I didn’t want to journal my own ideas for prompt questions in making my own online photo album. And, really there was only two options I found that provided the type of service/ product I was looking for. I looked into both and chose “The Short Years.” Couldn’t be more thrilled! This makes it so easy to record all the things you don’t want to forget. Easily import photos from your phone. Notifications to update milestones at just the right times. And now, if you aren’t the best writer and/ or you want to shake things up, simply use the AI feature to re-write your text. I tell every expectant parent if they want to do a baby book, this is the way to go! Quickly ships to you when ready… I recommend waiting awhile to go back and catch typos. Seriously… how did I get the birthday wrong on a page??? Anyways, 5 stars all the way!!!
This is a such a creative idea for a baby book! We just had our first baby 2 weeks ago and realized pretty quickly that while one hand is on baby, the other can only do so much. I just started a week ago and have finished 3 chapters during nightly feedings. It’s so easy to add photos from the day-also helps me manage my iPhone photo album by removing all the duplicates in pursuit of the “perfect” picture. I would never have the energy to do a traditional scrapbook baby book so this is an ideal solution to capturing memories. I am looking forward to getting chapters as I complete them as that will motivate me to keep up with it, as will the regular notifications from the app. I also like the AI text function that takes your words and spruces them up to create better phrasing-sometimes words are tough at 2am (ha!) Bonus: it prevents you from late night online shopping/social media scrolling AND-you feel productive when you finish a chapter! It’s a win, win.
TheShortYears is a fun and easy way to make a beautiful baby book. Everything can be done right in the app and it notifies you when there’s new questions to answer. The book looks professional. It’s easy to fill the different sections, the app prompts questions so if you aren’t great at this type of thing, you can use their amazing prompts. You can write your own also. I love answering the questions, I do it in the evening when I’m watching tv with baby in my arms. The book is shipped to your door and as you complete chapters they’re shipped. The book is beautiful! It’s very elegant, the pages are easy to organize and the pictures are very high quality. Plus, you can add videos!! That’s my favorite part! It’s not just pictures and baby details but videos for watching years to come! I really like the bonus photo pages, it made room for pics of grandparents! I’m so glad I found this baby book, I’m creating a beautiful memory book for my son!

One thing I didn't like was that some questions always kept returning and wouldn't go away such as "your child's cousins". My son is the only grandchild and has no cousins so I just wanted to be able to not answer it and it disappear but that didn't happen. I actaully forgot about the app for a little and have to catch up and look into ordering a book now! It being on my phone was another plus--that's where my photos all are (I don't have to transfer to a computer to upload, yay!) and I could easily update things while I nursed which was a huge plus! For any parent wanting a simple AND aesthetic way to create a baby book--this is what you're looking for!
You are probably tempted by the beauty, simplicity and conciseness of the idea and the final product. As well as I, however. I have not found anything similar on the market. But, when buying a book, keep in mind a few things: 1. The upscale of the book will cost you 2 times more than its base price. You will want to buy bonus chapters with a photo, pdf version, etc. 2. As a result, the pdf version does not include all purchased bonus chapters, but only one. As a result, in the electronic version you receive an incomplete book. (I would regard this as a deception). 3. This product is not for those who want to get a real book with stories, but rather a photo book with small and simple captions under them. Since the layout of the book is strictly limited by the number of characters in the text (no customization is provided). 4. The support is friendly and responsive throughout the day. The application is very user-friendly. But if you want something more, I would advise you to make a custom order from an atelier or other resource for printing photo books.

When I had my son I had bought another “old school” baby book and was having to write all the information down in it and didn’t even begin to think about printing pictures and gluing them in. When I came across this app I thought it was a great idea and immediately wanted to give it a try. I am so happy I did! It was so easy to follow the prompts and insert pictures straight from my camera roll to create a very beautiful baby book! I could do it while I was nursing or anytime I had a few extra minutes. After several months thought I did feel like the prompts were repetitive so I loved once I found out how to write in my own prompts or choose another prompt from their selection. I do wish it could be created at the very end of the first year as an actual binded book and not loose pages to put in a binder but the print as you go thing works for being able to immediately look back on things which is nice too. Overall I am very happy with how it turned out!

I have my own baby book and it’s so sad how it just drops off at a certain point! I knew I wanted a book that I could see through to the end. The Short Years book is exactly that and more! I love the variety of questions, and even the examples it offers for answering them. The fact that it also doubles as a photo album is also amazing. My wife and I love laying in bed and picking out the photos we want to include - no scrapbooking necessary! It’s so exciting to receive our new pages in the mail and look through them as we put them in our book. We can’t wait to fill the whole binder, and are looking forward to adding on the toddler expansion as well! This app makes making a baby album less intimidating for sure. I loved being able to work on it slowly. The finished product is beautiful! However I have an iPhone SE and apparently the phone is too small for the “back” button to show up and so I constantly have to cycle through an entire section to go back which gets really annoying after awhile. Also they’ve made their prompts editable but not the little illustrations that go with it. For example it says “something I don’t like” with an unhappy face above it but I changed the prompt to something else and there’s no way to get rid of the unhappy face so it just seems out of place. I reached out to customer service for both issues and they were extremely responsive but ultimately said there’s nothing they can do. Despite those two small things though I’m very thankful for the app and how beautiful my baby’s first baby album turned out. We are now working on baby # 2’s album :)

I’m a first time mom and was overwhelmed by all the things I wanted to document and never found the time, despite many efforts, to sit down and hand write everything I wanted to remember onto the journal like books I was gifted. I came across this app and was a huge relief to me. The layout of the daily questions and example answers was so helpful to me, where I found myself stumped at times (sleep deprived mommy brain) it also has helped me capture memories of things I might not have thought of otherwise! I love the professional quality of these pages and always look forward to new ones that are sent out. I use them as ongoing gifts to my husband where the initial book was a Christmas gift. Whenever I’ve had questions I’ve gotten prompt professional helpful responses via email. I highly recommend this app! You and your future self, baby, spouse/family will not regret it! I find myself already looking back on it in fondness despite my baby being only 6 months old.
This app makes it so easy to enter in all those fun, memorable moments that would otherwise be forgotten by the time you actually have time to sit down and craft a book (or two in my case) by hand....lol....which would probably be 18 years later- who has time?! The questions texted to you really trigger all the adorable moments I knew I had to include! Uploading pictures, and viewing the complete layout prior to print was great! There’s plenty of room in the book for extra photos, milestones, and more. I can’t wait for the twins to be old enough to read through their books together, and the quality is so beautiful that I know these pages will be shared with their kids when that time comes. Highly recommend downloading this app and getting started immediately! **For a mom of multiples, this is the ONLY app I have found that allows you to do more than one book at a time and not have to set up two different accounts/logins, etc!!!!

The days fly by and they grow so fast, and I found that I was forgetting small details before I ever got the chance to write them down in a baby book… and this is why I’m soooo grateful for The Short Years!!! It’s so easy to jot down little moments or details in the app and come back to edit them later. I love getting to add in pictures as I take them throughout each month. It’s so easy to keep up with and the prompts (with the option to write your own) help you to be so intentional about remembering these precious and short years. I will start by saying that I have not submitted my first pages just yet, however this app is one of my favorite that I currently have on my iphone. The whole concept is so convenient and beautifully executed. Being able to create an entire personalized baby album for both of my littles in one space (and on my phone at my own pace) is so much fun and takes the stress out of having to scrapbook (that’s not my sort of thing and I don’t have much time to do so with two little ones.) The app itself has a very clean, easy to use layout that will guide you through the entire process...and you can stop, and pick right back up where you left off at your own convenience. I can’t wait to order my book and first pages! So so excited. Also, the fact that this can be given as a gift is so awesome. I will be recommending to all of the soon to be mommas in my life as well as those who have yet to make a baby book for their little ones!
I was told about this app by a coworker when the discussion of baby books came up. I looked into it that night, but my husband was not convinced with the price tag. I bought it when my baby was 10 months old and I had not started a baby book at all and was working full time. The app is easy to use, I was worried I would forget things or not know the answers but I went back to the month I was working on in my phone photos and reviewed photos and videos from that time to jog my memory. I worked on it while nursing or while pumping at work, I was able to get caught up in time for his first birthday. I am so happy with the final result and we will treasure it, my husband also admits it was a great purchase even though he was skeptical at first. We also have the toddler years and I also expect those to look great in the book. This was one of my favorite baby purchases!

Within the first few days, we already had a million pictures of our newborn that we will cherish forever. I spent a VERY long time shopping around for a baby book. As each day passed after my baby’s birth I become more and more nervous that I’d forget every milestone. How could I remember what happened two months ago when I can barely remember what happened this morning? Also, and most importantly to me, how would I get all the pictures from my phone into my baby’s book?! The Short Years is really the only one of its kind. Its like a continuous working project, which i really appreciate because who with a newborn baby has time to sit down and do the whole thing at once? I love how I can work on it piece by piece when I have a few extra minutes while pumping or while the baby is feeding/sleeping. Or when a milestone happen I can go straight to the app and record what happened while it’s fresh in my mind. But the best part is being able to add pictures from your phone right to the book. I really feel like this is the only way I’d remember everything that happened in my daughters first year. She is only 4 months and we are totally loving it so far. I also had an experience where all of The information I put into the App was gone. I contacted customer service and they were able to recover my baby’s book in entirety right away. So bonus points there. Definitely recommend you start using this before you forget everything!!!
I absolutely love this memory book! What a genius idea. The book has a very clean, elegant look. I love that it’s not cheesy like everything out there. The colors are modern and the book is beautiful. The app is pretty easy to navigate. Just answer the questions, upload photos, and voila, your pages are complete and can be mailed out. The finished product looks exactly like the preview on the app. The print quality is excellent. I honestly can’t say enough good things. It’s a brilliant idea. I don’t have time to scrapbook and this is such an easy way to get the baby book done. I will 100% be purchasing the toddler years, and if I have more kids I will be purchasing for them too. I’d loveeee if they came out with something like “The School Years” or something to document k-12. I would love if I never had to scrapbook again. Anyways, this product overall is amazing and well thought out. Well worth the $100.

This is the perfect baby book app for the busy and sleep-deprived parent. A few questions and photos a month will make a family heirloom to be enjoyed for years to come. I’ve completed one year and upgraded to include the toddler years as well. The book comes with an envelope for keepsakes. The questions cover the classic baby milestones as well as favorite memories, and you can print as many photo pages as you like. My favorite feature is that you receive your pages in the mail as you complete 3 months at a time. It has been fun to watch our book grow. I’ve loved the process and result so much that I’ve given gift cards as a unique baby shower gift. If you are trying to decide between the different baby book apps - look no further! No other is as easy or elegantly printed.
I completed a baby book through age 5 for my first child, and it’s such a wonderful keepsake with both pictures, written notes, interviews, etc. It is beautifully put together, and you get pages printed to add as you go! I also got a companion box to save momentos and the book. I plan to print copies of it now that it’s complete for the grandparents - a perfect Christmas gift! I’m also in process of doing a book for my 6 month old and love it all over again! They also got me hooked on their other app StorySnap which you can use for age 5 and up to continue to make beautiful albums similar in ease of use! They also sell a box for schoolwork with cute companion folders to write about each school year. Love this whole suite of items! Couldn’t recommend more highly and love that I have cohesion in all of the items!
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for when I noticed doing an old fashioned baby book wasn’t going to work out for me. I’m a new mom, and way too busy to be printing pictures, buying stickers and creating scrapbook entries (no matter how bad I wanted to.) Pregnancy and the first year of life is such a whirlwind. Even with the best intentions and determination, I knew I would not be able to keep up with the memories, pictures, and milestones. I originally hoped to scrapbook by hand my sons baby book but quickly realized that there was just is no time for that. And to be honest, would it have even come out cute and how I hoped? So I start looking for a way to do it online through a book and none were going to give me the little bits that could be incorporated when done by hand... extra notes, a few or a bunch of pictures, a place for keepsakes like his hospital bracelet... but then I landed on The Short Years!! What a blessing!! It’s everything I hoped for. Very doable, very adorable, and encompasses every detail needed and more I would have never thought to add! I felt so guilty that I wouldn’t have the time or penmanship to make a beautiful babybook that I felt my daughter deserved to have. I absolutely love this baby book app. I’ve always heard before I had kids how much of a hassle a baby book can get to be but I wanted to make sure so badly we documented as much as we could about our little girl so when I found this app I was like there’s no excuse now! I don’t have to worry about remembering to grab the book and write things down. I can do it whenever is most convenient for me. This app is so easy to use and I love the look of the book. The quality of the printed pages is amazing! It’s nice because my husband and I both can work on this together which makes it a fun experience too. I’d recommend this app to anyone with a child. I will also add i love they automatically send you the pages when the chapter you’ve done is complete. It’s so nice to pay upfront for everything and not worry about paying each time you need a page!
I am SO glad I found The Short Years!!! I wanted a great book for my daughter to look back on of all the wonderful things in her life since I never had anything like that! Knowing my though, my handwriting is absolutely awful and she’d never be able to read it! So thankfully finding this was the BEST option for me!!! I LOVE the questions and prompts and how they get you to reflect and think about your little one to make the answers so meaningful and special for them. The additional of the photos and how to edit pages is so user friendly and I just love everything about it!! I look forward to getting chapters finished so I can receive them in the mail! I seriously LOVE The Short Years App!! As a brand new mom at 40 years old, I am tired and don’t have time making “scrapbooks” or putting together photo albums of my baby girl as much as I want to do it. I take literally thousands of pictures of her on my phone but I’m worried one day she’ll never see them since they are all digital and the type of digital devices we use is constantly changing! So in my option, a beautiful hard copy of the pictures is the WAY TO GO! I love that I only had to pay one price for this book and then I just answer the questions each month and pick my favorite pictures out of the thousands I take! I get to excited every 3 chapters too when I know the pages are being shipped to me and I’ll have them permanently forever! Not to mention, the book is simple and beautiful!!
I had twins in 2021 and I started out with FOUR memory books that required me writing in them and adding photos. I started in two and quickly lost momentum. I was exhausted from taking care of the boys and the last thing I wanted or needed to do was get writing cramps writing almost the same information (they are identical so a LOT of stuff has been similar) twice in two books. I lost hope and then found the short years! They were about 1 when I found it so I felt behind but have quickly caught up thanks to the reminder prompts and just being motivated once I bought the books and had the first pages sent to me. They are so beautiful and I can’t wait to give them to my boys when they are older! Thank you short years for creating such a meaningful product.
I love the simple yet sophisticated look of these baby books. Although I have yet to order any of my completed chapters for my book, I am super excited as I look through them. I can’t wait to see how my daughters book looks in person. As a busy first time mom it’s hard to devote all the time needed for a beautiful put together and complete baby book. Now being almost 6 months in I know the things to remember so I can add them to her book, and am on track to have an amazing finished product to remember all the precious first year memories. My mother and sister have both told me how hard it is to keep track of all the milestones and new things for a second, third and more children but this app has given me hope that I might even have enough time to finish a book for more than just my first child whenever they may come.
