I moved across the country and still use this bank. Awesome customer service, the app is great. The only thing missing is a virtual wallet/“pod” feature where you can make separate “accounts” or sections within an account (without having to come to a branch and create a new account) to allocate for saving for a certain item, emergency fund, car saving fund, etc.
I mostly use the app for moving money (pay bills, transfer between accounts, deposit checks) - seems like the typical use cases. Every time you navigate away from the app and come back (even for a second) you have to sign back in. And every time you sign back in, the app painfully slowly refreshes everything. It would be fine if it signed me off after some configurable time, but immediately?? This becomes very difficult to use when paying bills because I switch between this app and email & other financial apps then come back to put in the information from the other sources. By the time this app goes through its paces when I come back to it, I’ve just about forgotten the details of what I had to navigate away for. Frustrating! I can use the browser and avoid this, but I really prefer an app - just not like this. Oh, and of course, there is no place in the app for feedback , so hopefully they’ll see it here.
It’s still new and trying to get used to it. Lots of lost functionality with the new app. I could add notes to a transfer during the transfer in the old app and the notes would post to both accounts. Now I have to wait 1-3 days for the transaction to finalize before I can add notes and now have to go to both accounts to add the note because it isn’t a bi-directional update. The dashboard on the previous app opened with all accounts, now I have to either swipe to find the account or make another click to see them all - before there were no extra clicks! I do like that the credit accounts show on the dashboard and accounts lists rather than the extra clicks. It does look nice, just needs some extra help!
Every since the update in September, I can’t use this app to deposit checks that are physically larger than a regular checkbook size. I’ve explained this multiple times. When I initial take the picture, it looks perfectly clear. When the pictures are transferred to the little box, just before final submit, they are very unclear so of course the deposit is rejected. Fix this. It is not my incompetence. I’ve had multiple family members try to deposit these physically larger sized checks and they can not do it either. It worked fine before the September update. I’m sorry I ever updated it in September. I keep hoping the latest update will solve the problem but it hasn’t. One thing I’ve learned is to never update an app that is working fine.
Apparently Think wants to make it difficult to deposit money from its customers. That seems unusual for an organization that is in the money business. I’ve been doing deposits over the last year using an iPad Air 2, with no problems. The Air 2 is at the highest IOS update level. Now Think wants the Air 2 to be at a higher level in order to use the deposit app. So I am required to purchase a new iPad in order to do banking at Think. That’s an interesting business model. Looks like I’m going to be searching for a new bank.
The Think Bank app now requires iOS 16 and Apple only supports iOS 15 on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus so I’m unable to run this app any longer. This is disappointing since I was used to using the app on my iPhone to check automatic deposits and withdrawals. I don’t feel upgrading to a newer iPhone is justified just to keep using this app. I may look at moving my banking somewhere else where they have a app that I can use on iPhone 7.
I know it’s super new, so I’m trying to be understanding of bugs, but so far it’s been giving me issues. My checking account fund total doesn’t always appear, the mobile check deposit keeps giving me errors, and now it won’t let me log on because apparently there is an update - but the App Store doesn’t have the update available to download. So I can’t use the app at all. I know it’s going to be nice once all the kinks are worked out... until then, I miss the old app, and being able to use an app at all!
I’m happy to have this app. It works very well for numerous functions. However, the search function is completely worthless. I have not been able to recall a transaction by its amount, or it date, content of a memo or any other reasonable search criteria that one would use for this function If the search function was useful for preparing taxes, remembering categories, or any other of the fields for which you can make input, I would be much happier.
Never have I had to call and have gotten anything but wonderful personalized service when I need it. Very kind, very helpful folks and really provide helpful, knowledgeable service. It feels like my home bank. Thank you for your patience and always helpful.
When scanning a check the app displays help and will not continue when trying to scan a check. The app must be ended and the front of the check scanned and then ended again and then the back of the check scanned. The help text overlays the screen and has the focus not allowing any other function to be executed including the Cancel button. The app simply locks and must be killed (ended). The next time the app is executed the help screen does not appear and the check can be scanned. It is easily reproducible. It appears to be a bug. Using latest iOS version on iPhone X.
I am not happy that I can no longer use the online think app. I have an iPhone 7 pro and now I can’t access Think to move money around or make deposits. This basically forces me to upgrade to a newer iPhone. I was a frequent user of the app.
I think that the On Line App is very user friendly, And is a Quick Convenient way to a Bank!, when one lives out of town, as we do!, I have had a thirty Year Plus Relationship, With the IBM CREDIT UNION, & Think Mutual Bank!, And I hope to Continue to do Business with Think Bank in the Future!
The app is often down and doesn’t let me transfer money. It gives me error messages whenever I try moving money from savings to checking. The load speed is pretty slow for an iPhone 11. I get my card declined at times even though I have money in there. Just please, I like the simplistic design and easy to use interface but the bugs and errors really make me think when I want to use the app.
I no longer can use my online app since it requires iOS 16 or greater. I have 15.8.2 When I mentioned this to stink bank they said to purchase a new phone. Seriously :-/
I just downloaded the app recently. Now it’s saying I need to update it but it didn’t update when I hit “update now”. Just takes me back to the store which only gives me an option to open. And then I’m back where I started when I select that. What am I Missing? (Like the app Otherwise!)
Ever since the last update, nothing in the app works. An error will show up when loading my account balances, an error will appear when mobile depositing a check, and error will appear when trying to send a report… it’s all errors. I’ve spent more time on customer service and them telling me they can do nothing besides if I come in but that defeats the whole purpose of online mobile banking.
The Think Bank app is very comprehensive. So much so that there’s really no need to visit the website for anything. It’s all here, which is great! It’s very user friendly, and I love that it’s customizable so that I see what’s important to me!
I love the convenience this app brings. Being able to deposit your check by phone is great. I only wish there was a higher deposit limit but it’s something I can live with!
Where have you hidden the cross account transfer function? If we’re able to pay people in the desktop version, we should be able to do it in the mobile version. If I select pay bill, I expect to also be able to edit a biller somewhere.
I really like the options to customize views. Using the customization I was able to create a view that was similar to the view I was used to in the old app. The new app is practical and easy to use. One thing I’ve missed already—when making a transfer, the old app displayed the balance of the transfer from account — that was convenient. Love the new security features. THANKS!! Is there a log off button? I searched and didn’t find it.
This new app is great and all but it’s too slow. It takes forever to refresh and unlike the previous app , it doesn’t show your transactions right away. After a transaction, it say “pending”, which I find confusing. I don’t know if it’s taken the money out of my account or not.
I can't check my balance/review transactions because the app won't sync to retrieve the info and trying to force it to re-sync is just about impossible. I do not trust this app nearly as much as the old app, it has better "functionality" by design but if those functions don't actually work it is useless and wasting space on my phone.
I’ve spent a long time using this app, and then suddenly it updates… and I can’t anymore? With the new IOS requirements, I can no longer access the app. Which means no Zelle, no money transfers, no checking my balance. Why is it that it worked for years, and now it “updates” to not work?
This new app is terrible. Never works for me. Have had to reset my password 6 times already because it keeps locking me out even when I have the right credentials!!
Think Mutual Bank totally rocks! I have been a customer since the first day out of college on my first job over 31 years ago! The customer service consistently is remarkable!
Logged in and can’t use the app because I need the update. Takes me to the update file and nothing there. Back and forth a few times so I click app support here. Links me to the website. Lol. Not the developer. What is going on?
As of the last release I’m not able to login. Getting a prompt that my passcode needs to be enabled to work offline or I’m not connected to the internet. I have been using app fine with the thumb biometrics but don’t even get that prompt. Please advise.

This app *used to be* one of the best out there. The new update won't run on iPhone 7, so I can no longer use it. Could I shell out $ for a new phone? Yes. But this one works and I don't need to put my function phone in a landfill. Please make this app work on iPhone 7
The teller was told main savings by my husband and she took it out of my metas main savings. Putting me in the minus. I discovered this today and my husband rectified the error. She has made errors before. I have a password on my acct. should not have happened. Glad I checked. Was glad for the app so I found this error.
When it works it’s ok. When it doesn’t your accounts don’t show accurate transactions or totals. You have no warning when it will happen- this month just startled when app assured me mortgage had not been paid (one example). This happens every month or two. Not ok for a banking app. Additionally Design issues for mobile.
What used to be easy has now turned into a “find it if you can” game. I cannot find how to change a monthly bill pay amount. Are there customer directions on how to use this newly devised website?
The one star goes to the customization. Not sure why anyone thinks I want to view my accounts one at a time by swiping. I want to see all of them in one screen as before. The new layouts and designs are unappealing and at this point I’d rather go to the website. Glad I started taking money out and moved to another bank.
