While I appreciate the phone app being available, I don’t think that it is user friendly. I would need to use a computer if I need to do some of my banking such as to set up a payment for someone or cancel a payment which makes it inconvenient for me. Thank you, Vida
If you have an iPhone version 7 or prior, the app will repeatedly generate non-sensical messages telling you that you must reinstall the app. I called Timberland Bank technical support and was told it was "Apple's fault" and that I should instead use the web based app on my iPhone. After further discussion with a 2nd person I was told that an external software vendor made a decision to not support any IOS versions prior to 15, which is the max version supported by iPhone 7. That explanation implied that iPhones v 7 have a security risk and are too dangerous to use. That almost sounds like a plausible excuse until you consider that the the web based version does run on iPhone 7, and an authenticator app for Timberland does generate valid codes for logging in on iPhone 7. In Timberland's way of thinking, iPhones version 7 are too dangerous to run their app, but it is safe for using their web based application. In summary, if you want a functional banking app and have an older version of the iPhone, you will have to pick a different bank.
It’s reliable once set up and opens quickly every time, which is nice. Unfortunately it’s missing in the reports and searching areas. There’s no way to easily filter out different deposits or separate different purchases, either by methods, amounts, or vendors. If using Timberland as the primary bank we are forced to scan through the entire list of all purchases to locate any specific one. This is a MAJOR frustration when a purchase from a previous month needs to be referenced. There is no reliable way to generate a report from an individual vendor that spans several months, and the search will not work unless the full name of the vendor is input, which makes locating a one-off purchase made in a previous month a very time consuming process. Also, payroll deposits take 3 days to even show as processing. This is slower than experienced with other banks.
The check deposit feature with the app needs improving. Apparently you need to write out “mobile deposit for Timberland Bank” on each check. No where does it say this in the app and there is no notification when your checks are rejected. I’ve used two other mobile banking apps and they don’t require this. If they do, they should make it very clear in the deposit flow. Not user friendly as I have had to contact them through the messaging multiple times. And now have gotten rid of the physical check because I thought I got it the third time but it didn’t say “Timberland Bank” on it.
Your on line banking is a horror story. I have two iPads I use, one will allow me into my account the other one will not. Keep rejecting my attempts to get in. Yesterday a box came up saying it was time to renew my password? Why would that be. You have nothing about remote deposits needing your bank name on it, but you do so you reject the first deposit because that has not been done. But most of all I would like to get into my account from more then thi iPad because this one is overloaded but the app for your bank will not allow that to happen. Not the first time I have had problems with your online apps
I’m so mad! I have had so much trouble with remote deposits for checks since the update of the app several months ago. I keep putting checks in having them appear to be accepted, only to get a call months later from clients saying they hadn’t gone through. I don’t know how much money I’ve lost but I’m going to change banks. Not cool!
The personal customer service is excellent. I feel my business matters to the employees who are always helpful and answer my questions. I appreciate the ability to talk to a person and not an automated voice!
Appreciate the updated formatting that comes across to us! The ability to deposit checks has been a huge benefit. The whole Timberland web account pages are easy to work with, and I always know when money goes in and out. Good work, TSBK!
The people at my local branch in Toledo go out of the way to be helpful. The people on the other end of the phone call to the main office are the same. The only thing that I would like is a way to link my account directly to Venmo.
I love this new app. It’s so clean looking and easy to navigate. There may be a few more buttons to press but it appears there is a lot more options. I also like that the bill pay seems to be built it and not a separate site.
Everyone has been so sweet and helpful yo me.. these past two years gave been really hard since my husband passed away and they have worked with me and helped me through so many banking issues.. I just adore them
Have never felt so secure about my funds as I have with Timberland, their banking app has everything you want without being too busy to see what you are looking for!
Great app for a community bank. Looks great and allows you to deposit checks with your phone and turn off your debit or health savings account cards. Much better than the old app!
I wasted way too much time trying to login. It doesn’t recognize me. Won’t let me try a password reset. I am 100% certain of my user name and password. Total disappointment!
This app has incredible functionality and uses current models that most banks/credit unions utilize. It’s easy to navigate around and looks sleek/nice.

Constantly getting my checks put in hold for 5 days, the absolute worst when it comes to handling customer funds! Been a custom for 18 years and they still haven’t improved!
The first time in 40 years my deposit using remote deposit has been rejected. Really!?!?! Save yourself some time and use the drive-up. Online banking is helpful, remote deposit is lame.
I put in everything I needed my social my full name etc. I’ve undownloaded the app and redownloaded it many times and every single time it just says “action unavailable “
