Excellent Game for Free Play

It’s pretty fun and entertaining (and I typically don’t play a lot of phone games other than solitaire or word games). Obviously if you’re not willing to spend money, your not going to advance super quick. It’s going to take time. But you can still advance and build up a pretty decent kingdom. In this fast pace, “I want it NOW” world we live in, this is a nice humbling game for people like me who refuse to spend money on phone games. It reminds you that good things take time and hard work and the fun is in the journey. All-in-all, I enjoy it. I’m a little confused about some aspects of it, but that’s just because I’m slightly technology illiterate.

In game organized bullying and payments

Worst game experience and environment ever. Very unorganized seems to be predator based game where the higher organized ranking players control how the game is actually played. “The kings court” will hold you “accountable” for attacking another player and you are bullied to pay for “damages” or resources lost in the game during battle. None of the following is disclosed in the ToS or in how to play the game. Apparently each “world” has different “RoE” “Rules of engagement” which now changes how the game is designed to be played and what is expected of you and how much you need to pay them to stay playing. The “players” will ask to be paid in game resources. If you do not pay they make it hard to play this game as players with higher ranks will bully you to play and pay them. Players set up multiple accounts to keep up the amount of numbers to dominate other players. Some offer for you to buy resources from them from their websites posted in the game chat. Even for other player’s actions that maybe on your team. You are harassed and bullied until you pay in game resources. If you do not pay the other players will make it so difficult to play you will want to quit. You don’t know or can you Identify who is the games admin or is it just another player in the game telling you to pay. You will also be harassed from other players asking for WhatsApp information in the game and clan chats. Worst experience in any game I’ve played.

There is a problem in form and content, this game is good in shape but the content is not realistic, there are gaps in the game program, and bugs and disconnecting from server itself , so you will lose what you get , spending money a lot for nothing , as player we are playing to have fun and informing others about any problem May came a cross , there is inaccuracy of the calculation of points and the value of the achieved goals, the communication is depending entirely on your purchases. Spend more money you get communication with other players which we don’t even really know if they are real players or from people who’s on the game , For the offers they are drained quickly and even the shield is for 7 days but actually it’s less than that , and there is no real calculation of the quantities of the given gifts , they are not counted, When you contact the supporter they will start to say anything except to solve the problems which they had , it’s total money not total battle , I don’t recommended it to any one till the developer will adjust all issues in this game and being clear. I advice each one don’t lose your money on nothing , you can have fun in any other games , I consider this as if it’s a cheating on the person just to get his or her money and no one can point that to them saying it’s server !! Sorry I have very bad experience with this game and totally I don’t think it’s an honest game . One star only because the music was sounding good .

Very expensive to play competitively

First off the game is fun but it is very expensive to play competitively. It would take you three months to do what somebody can do in one week for $250 pack. They even have a $500 pack support for the game is there, but they are slow. I had a problem and they kept overwhelming me with emails that wanted me to explain the same problem over and over again until eventually I just got sick of it in gave up so in the end my problem was never fixed. All I know the game is a lot of fun. Everything works fine, they do maintenance just like any game but unfortunately I don’t have the cash flow to level up as fast as others. I spent $2000 in the first month and my friend spent $7000 the first month so when I go in the farm for the valor points, that’s what levels you up I get like 200,000 compared to his 2 billion so he levels everything up very quickly whereas me I’m looking at a couple months plus but this money is no object for you. Enjoy the game it’s fun on the other hand if you don’t have a money tree in your backyard, be prepared to take an extreme amount of time to level up, they will put you in a new kingdom with other new players in the you have five or six months to level before they open the kingdom to all 130 some kingdoms most of those players already billion might you’ll be lucky to be at 5 million 10 million and that’s if you spend money $2000 got me right around the 7 million might

Scam of a game.

After playing for a year, have deleted this scam. Customer support is horrible. There are MAJOR bugs in the game that have been ongoing for over a year. They always lie. Servers have never been upgraded to deal with their horrible lag. Furthermore, the developers are shady and even have their own accounts that come in to cause troubles and wars, and attacking your cities, destroying your armies, in hopes that you will spend more money. I have also witnessed clans outright bribing moderators to mute people they don’t like, and customer support taking no action against this, even when given 100’s of screenshots and videos. In short, this game is nothing more than a pay-to-lose scam that is full of bugs. Lastly, it is coded so poorly, it will eat up your battery, and make your cpu run hot, even when nothing is going on. This is true even on the fastest machines. Response to developer comment: Everything you posted is a lie. If it were true, there wouldn’t be bugs that are YEARS old, there wouldn’t be people flocking away from the game faster than you can make new accounts to give fake 5 star reviews, and there wouldn’t be total inaction to the abusive mods, and to the accounts you created yourselves to cause problems and make people spend more money. In short, you are the most unethical company since Enron.

Go away! Now! You have been warned!

This game is not the cute little intro that you see in all of their ads. It’s not the nice little logic game using math against time to increase your stick man army size and defeat a cute little enemy as you cross bridges, avoid obstacles, and do math in your head on the fly. If that’s all it was, it would’ve been good because that’s the only reason I signed up for this game. But that’s like one percent of what the game is actually about. And it’s not cheap. This game is a money pit! It’s extremely confusing, ambiguous, difficult, and blind. There are no Help screens to speak of. The objective of the game is extremely obscure. Advancing in the game is nearly impossible without dumping hundreds and hundreds of dollars into it. Furthermore, other players are constantly attacking you and destroying the things that you have paid for with hard cash. So unless you have $1 million you don’t know what to do with, just stay away from this game. Now I’m sure that the developers are going to attach a paragraph at the end of this saying that the game is free to play. This is a lie. Repeat! THIS IS A LIE!! it is impossible to play this game for free for very long and not find yourself cornered at a point where you are forced to buy their upgrades. Just stay away from this game. You’ll be glad you did.

Awesome game!

I really enjoy playing Total Battle. I’m not one for social media but I love my clan and clan mates so it makes logging on each day a lot of fun. As far as the other comments about it being costly, that’s really up to you. There are ways to get the things you need but you have to play every day and complete your daily tasks to get them. I recommend you join an active clan. I get close to 300 chests per day being in my clan. This gives me most of what I need to grow, and we get more during certain events. Again you can’t get them if you don’t play. I do spend money on the golden pass. It’s $20 per season which is about a month long. You double your rewards with this pass. If you like strategy games and are looking to meet some great people in the total battle community from all over the world then this game is for you. My only suggestion would be implementing some kind of a warning when your shield of peace is close to expiration. This would give you time to prepare a new shield or at least make sure you have time to use up resources.

Yet in order to participate in the game or even to protect yourself from getting utterly wasted, you need to spend money. “Premium” is $5 usd per week. 260/yr. and you get to swap gear and translate messages, tho the translation is inaccurate. In order to be “competitive” in the game, you have to spend 250/wk on special mercenaries, and that’s after 6months of spending that kind of money to grow an army size that can be competitive. 12,000/year. To play the game. Yet you get 0 return from customer support on the developers fixing issues within the game. You have to use an outside chat service bc the one they advertise as having doesn’t work. They perform maintenance in the middle of major events, they don’t answer your questions to support for 3-5 days. And again, only way to be competitive and grow to be competitive is spending in the neighborhood of 250/wk if you spend 50 for a package, they will offer the same package for 100 for a week to 10 days. It’s the same thing, yet double the price. It almost feels criminal the way this company operates.

5 hours into it…

I’m a real weird case here, I downloaded to see if it actually had those math levels as advertised, But that’s just a small part of it, The meat of the game is your city and building, strengthening, Forging, Crafting and so forth…I don’t like strategy games, I’ve honestly never been into them but this one sucked me in like others haven’t. It’s true that it’s not a cheap game at all and not beginner friendly but I catch on fast since I’ve been playing video games since 1990 lol, But in all honesty it’s a great game underneath the layers of paywalls. I’ve supported the devs with $10 but I’ve seen ads where only people do really well in this terrible economy would find to be decent prices, they’re steep. Really really steep. I bought 2 items because why not I support devs these games cost money, just think of the players as well because if it’s too much I rather play a console game, but I’m sticking with this as long as the greed doesn’t overtake the experience! Great game though

Believe the bad Reviews

First if you want to get ahead in this game you won’t be able to unless you PAY. Pay crazy amounts of money for things that don’t help you much. And even if you paid thousands of dollars for this game you still wouldn’t catch to players who have been playing for months. It would be a good game if certain levels were only allow to attack same level players but it’s not its players who have spent a lot of money attacking players who haven’t spent any money. Theres a reason only 12k people have downloaded this vs 3 million who have downloaded something like the clash of clans app. If this game used brackets and levels allowing them to only attack players who have the same levels then it would be decent at best. And to level up anything whether your city, weapons, captains will literally take you months and you will still get no where unless you spend money. Save your time and money and download a game where everyone has a real chance to grow and upgrade because this is NOT the game. And if you see “support” responding to these reviews DO NOT believe what they say trust me it’s all lies, it’s just run around talk!!

Growth is the same for everyone

The game makes you upgrade everything equally. Therefore all players upgrade their cities the same. There is no secret advantage that you could choose. Your capital level and hero level gives away how strong you are. So someone with better troops always knows your weaknesses. We should be able to pick different paths of strengths to fool attackers. Like for instance, we should have a secret protection of stronger health or a secret talent where we get a double strikes. How about being able to build up our warehouse as strong as we want, without having to upgrade all the other buildings, so we don’t lose so much when attacked. Maybe it could be a hidden boost that protects our warehouse 100 percent. Any advantage where a strong attacker at least pays some price for attacking a weaker city. How about a secret boost we could buy with gold, where we acquire all the conquest points after a player burns our city? Right now, we just keep getting targeted, and losing a bunch of progress.

Company denials are intentionally dismissive

Everyone who says this game is expensive is telling the truth. The community in the game is a double edged sword. If it weren’t for the other players the game would be a dud. But it’s that loyalty which makes you want to spend money and achieve. You cannot play this game for free without getting progressively frustrated and drop out, it’s just the reality of how the game is designed, and I know plenty of players who try to limit themselves to under $100 per week, which is still difficult. In 8 months it’s easy to max out cards and credit limits in this game. So don’t believe it when the developers say there are ‘ways’ to play that are less expensive. Players have scores in the billions and trillions, and if your player is in the tens of thousands in score, you can quickly see there is no comparison. You spend to advance and win. Bottom line. It’s also addictive because the relationships that develop between players. So buyer beware.

It’s fun but expensive

This game is a lot of fun it’s very addicting. There are so many features, and so much to learn. The community of other players are fun and gracious. That said it’s very expensive to play. There are other games out there that are not as bad maybe they don’t have the same features, but they have similar but cost less. I know I know you don’t have to pay to play, but let’s be real. If you’re going to advance in any way where you can play it functionally every day you’re gonna need to make purchases and that’s the way this game is set up. When you attack or other people attack you the loss of resources is rather significant and unless you’re gonna do one or two attacks a day you’re gonna need to purchase more resources. I think that’s the biggest drawback of this game because there are other games out there that are just as fun and you can play them every day and go a month without spending money. This is balanced the other way.

Enjoyable Game

This is an enjoyable game to play. I am still learning the different ways to engage the gameplay. As with almost all games, if you pay to purchase items you will advance faster and further. But this game does not require you to do that if you are content with building and growing at a regular pace. I enjoy it and have yet to spend any money, (don’t hold that against me :-) ). Overall the developers have done an amazing job and I appreciate their effort to continue to make improvements. Only in a world like this can you be given a FREE, highly technical game and give it one star because you can not advance as fast as people paying for upgrades. This is well worth the download, enjoy the game play, pay if you want to advance faster, or don’t and just have fun, and delete the app if you get bored, and your out nothing. Thank you to all those people behind the scenes of this game, you are definitely doing it right!

Money Hungry Company!

Great Game but money hungry, Cash greedy developers. I’ve spent around $300 on this game and I’m about 5M Might. The developer says join a clan but I’m in the highest ranked clan of my Kingdom with around 700 Chests per day and while that’s very helpful I’m still hit with many times where I just don’t have enough of something. Not enough speedups, Not enough Valor, Not enough gold. Not enough stone, But hey always presented with the option to spend more real money to get each of those things which are strategically placed in different packages. Then if you buy a $4.99 package your presented with an offer with larger quantity of the same items for a higher price. Or the limited offers with countdown timers that when expires just resets again. It’s all mind games and psychology of humans they are manipulating. This game is just too expensive to really play! Then I start looking at other Kingdoms with 5 Billion might for single player and realize you would either have to spend a decade playing this game or like $10,000 to be one of the top players of the game.

Not only pay to play but bad service

I spent over 170$ usd in the last week and a half only to not get chest and be told the entire list of kingdoms rules … threatened by people from other countries to be kicked opened a ticket posting my bank statements saying I was screwed out from what I purchased only to hear *crickets* it’s worse than game of war and by my math if you spent every waking second on the game in a clan would probably take 11 years before you could defend yourself from a new player that spends a few hundred /thousand dollars … wanna loose money and have rules strict like China then welcome home , this is not a fair game and not fun … I just wish I could get the time and money I spent in last few weeks mins you my kingdom is lvl 23 hero lvl 30-40 .. no thanks real life calls ! Look around this is not gunna work as a whole and these f’d game developers cash grab and toss people …

Total Battle Review

Not every aspect of this game is enjoyable as the players game progresses and one levels up, the resources dwindle until one has to spend money to keep up in game. It is actually Not a Free game to play because it will eventually force to oay or lose most of all you have from the players who spend a lot of money on game. I also suspect that those who developed game are some of those who hold all the power in game. It is not an easy game to understand or even play, as many play from around world and the translation device is lacking at best. The rules are difficult to follow especially when clans add to the game rules mKing layers to rules upon rules. Much of game is enjoyable but as your fort levels up, the less enjoyable it becomes because you will not have all you need to continue game without spending a lot of $$$$$$ money! Learn as ya go and find yourself indebted if you want to continue in game. It is NOT a FREE game.

Not worth it

Look at all the Reviews, believe the ones that say this game is a Rip off, there are constant events, in order to participate effectively you have to spend! This is with everything in the game. The packs do not give you enough in them to make it worth the money you spend on them, It’s a suckers game and if you want to waste your money… go right ahead and play this game. They’ll help you waste it. I currently play it and started falling into the spending trap. Don’t even bother just delete the app if you care to save your money. No game is worth spending $1000 usd on and yet you’ll get suckered into paying more than that a month to stay competitive. And Apple customers look at your bills for them we are charged way more, especially if you're American players ( go figure there!) so before you start playing let me save you the time. Don’t listen to the 5 star reviews. They’re bought and paid for by the app creators. Listen to the negative comments that where you’ll find the truth.

Is Total Battle fun and addictive? Sure, just like gambling. Is Total Battle buggy? Oh yeah, it’s very buggy. And some of the bugs seem suspiciously engineered to deplete resources you paid real money for. (And good luck getting any relief from Support, who more closely resemble non-player characters capable only of gaslighting and ignoring players.) Can you play Total Battle for free? Technically, yes. And technically, you can Michelin Star restaurant for free - as long as you don’t order anything off the menu. You have to pay to make Total Battle any fun whatsoever, and not just a little bit. It’s expensive. To have fun playing Total Battle, the entry cost is $40/month - bare minimum. *Most* players I know spend upwards of $200/month, and I’ve known many who have spent into the thousands. Can you skirt the expense and grow / have fun without spending money by joining a productive clan? No! That’s the most ridiculous claim imaginable: those clans? The ones who’ll help you grow if you join them? They’re full of paying members, and they are not accepting free-loaders! Sorry! The clans who will have free players are computer-generated or weak, neither of which will help you grow or have fun in this game, so don’t buy that line of nonsense. Total Battle is a tiny casino masquerading as a game, the crucial difference being that when you go to a casino, you might leave with some winnings. With Total Battle, however, you can only lose.

Fun, but expensive to be competitive

There are lots of simple fun activities in the game and an ability to join clans and connect with people. However, it is obvious you will just be frustrated if you don’t pay to pay. Developers continue to respond that the game is free to play, but either it takes you so long to do anything or you can’t get/find the gear you need, there just aren’t good ways to be competitive with spending a lot of money. Contrast this to a console game, which typically have way better graphics and game mechanics, but you pay a onetime fee for the, typically $50-$100, but then you get to play unlimited. Mobile app developers have found a way to milk too much money out of people, but I’m sure the trend will turn back around. Spending $100-$300/wk on a mobile game (or any game) is ridiculous other than for the rich with money to burn.

Money pit

This game is not free to play at all. It’s a black hole if you want to progress. Particularly the seasonal kingdom. In order to get higher level troops you have to construct buildings. In order to do that you need to buy speed up bonus and blue prints. Such a money grab. It’s bad enough that I buy for regular accounts and then they create the seasonal where they double dip. Such a disadvantage to ost or high level players who constantly attack. It’s really not worth it or fun anymore. Also they don’t allow chat search anymore which simply protects attackers. Can’t find enemies without searching chat. They do this to prevent spam ads. Spam was mildly annoying but they throw baby out with bath water by over reaction bad strategy. Seems like in the era of AI they could more easily target spam advertisements rather than penalize legitimate players from searching chat channels for information. That was fun aspect of game that they removed with no warning or consideration.

Game Would be great without a bully clan

I’ve only been playing this game for a couple of weeks and it seem to be pretty decent for the most part. I ended up calling out a clan that was breaking every rule of engagement out there, and they still are. Not only did I get muted, because I compared the clan to Joseph Stalin, but now this clan is continuing to bully the entire kingdom, and break every rule of engagement there is. Relentlessly. I’ve spent a lot of money on this game, and I would rather have a refund and delete this game if that’s how it’s going to be, allowing bullies. Just a little hints of advice, do not go to kingdom 115 because the Atlantis clan is the biggest set of bullies out there and they should be banned from the game completely or better yet, don’t play this game because if you compare that clan to the Stalin regime, the moderators will mute you in kingdom chat. And with the amount of money I’ve spent, which is close to a grand maybe you should just refund me

Use caution

Go through the reviews. It is a money pit. Support has a hard time contacting you back and they will keep any dime you give them. Intentionally purchased or not. GO TO FORUMS. Do the homework and educate yourself. It’s a shame because the game itself is good. The people behind the game are not as wholesome. The game is set up for you to go to the purchase area every day to gain a free gift. They move the free gift around and if you purchase something where the free gift is, they will not return it. We aren’t talking about a dollar or two purchase. We are talking $50-$100. If you look up the gross income of this company, They have the ability to give you a one time return under the understanding it’s once. They will not even do once. They will quote something to you saying it’s your fault and they can’t take back the items. As if a company that programmed this stuff can’t back track or come to some suitable agreement with you to get it back.

Great Game

Total Battle is a great game! There are a couple of matters that should be looked at, and adjusted. Every kingdom has player created and enforced rules of engagement. If one chooses not to abide by the rules of engagement, they subject themselves to being made and “Outlaw.” If one is declared and outlaw, the outlawed player can be attacked repeatedly and relentlessly looted. This looting can be particularly frustrating if the looted player spent a lot of money acquiring items. Gold ingots ought to be convertible to gold coins within individual players castles. Enforcement of taxes should always be a matter of the castles deciding how much contribute to the kingdom, but the ingots should not be otherwise worthless. After a certain level, it becomes very difficult to grow one’s avatar. Requiring Billions of points seems excessive. Overall the game is quite entertaining.

Fraudulently charged and now blocked

I have been playing this game for over a month and develop my player pretty well. I have spent a lot of money on this game and I bought a pack and never received my package. I reached out to the developers and never got a response in four days. Not only did o not receive my $99 package I was charged twice! I was forced to reach out to Apple to get my refund and I did because the developers wouldn’t do it. I went back into the game and bought my pack finally and the next day I have been blocked and banned from playing the game even though it was a developers mistake. I have put about $2000 into this game and now I can’t access it because of their fraudulent charge and I have not gotten a response back. There was no warning nothing not even a review of the situation. I want my account back or full $2000 refund. Please do better.

This game is awesome

It teaches fun math and the experience is extremely awesome and it’s a great way to play a math game with lots of fun and you should really play I don’t really like math but this game teaches it and makes it fun I love it and the action in it is amazing good graphics and even better gameplay and experience if your looking for a fun game this is the one it has like no adds and the really good thing it teaches you while you play do you can have a lot of fun level up and do all of that stuff but with learning also included I know there are a lot of bad reviews but the game isn’t all that bad honestly.

Game is fun. Support is problematic.

I found this game when I was looking for something to play that didn’t require large chunks of time to play. I no longer have the ability to invest three or four hours to one raid. I am happy that there are multiple facets. Battles, crafting. Resource collecting. Story and mini games. Though I had hoped the mini games would continue. I seem to be at a standstill on that front having completed the floating palace mini game and to a more levels coming soon on the crypt mini game. My problem is the delayed response on support tickets. I put my first contact in over a week ago about a charge discrepancy in the package I purchased and the amount that appears as I paid. The reality this is a came that requires some additional purchases and as someone who has paid gaming subscriptions for over twenty years I expect to pay in reason. But I also expect these changes to be correct. At this point I would greatly appreciate my ticket to be addressed and either the charges corrected or packages add to my account to compensate for the difference. It’s fun!

So thank you for making me math! Lol. I wish once you first get to your city there was more explanation. It was push this, then that other thing, then that other thing. I would have like an intro of the icons and what they do. now that I sort of know how the game works I’d like to start over. I tried to search in the rules or how to do things but I did not find it helpful. My last go at something close to this is Pirates and Zeus so probably not used to how basic things in games work anymore. A little more world building in the front would be helpful I enjoyed it until I ran out of things and then didn’t understand how to get more. I’m sure I’ll get back to it because it is fun.

I actually wanted to like this game

But it’s forsure a (your money will get you where you want to be) I get these people have to make money but most of them are greedy and know most people have some addiction and will bite… just delete the game save money and brain cells on more productive things.. I downloaded to play and yeah money and resources are good until day 2 and that’s when you’re probably so invested so they know to start going hard on you, exm 1… you have to wait 7 days when solders get attacked to have them revived your soldiers get you almost everything and unless you saved or got tokens you can’t buy solders or help with anything and it’s really more issues than that its just too much to explain, if a person is writing a review it’s because they don’t want you to be scam by these games too… but this is my review after 3 days of play

Could be awesome but needs improvements

The amount of wait time to build/research/basically do anything is absolutely outrageous and needs to be shortened. Oh, you can shorten troop training times? Hope you have 6 billion Valor points laying around to spend on it. And 40 hours to wait for it to complete. It’s astronomical. Also, you should be able to buy ONE of a certain item not be forced to buy a package of things you may not end up needing. The greed in which this game was designed is simply disgusting. Sure, it’s free to play but if you want to enjoy ANYTHING without waiting around forever, you are forced to purchase things. Do you want people to stop playing? Because this is how you frustrate people into not playing. Dial some stuff back, because most of it is outrageous.

Fun initially, descends into tedium unless you pay up.

The free part is limited and the fun is exhausted within an hour. Then the game falls into tedium of trying to research and upgrade weapons by fighting monsters near your city for experience. Unfortunately, your army is worthless, and you can only attack things that are weak which yield so little experience you will get nowhere unless you pay up $100 for the experience points needed. There are plenty of great games on Steam that are half that one time and you can play all you want. Then there are other players that are apparently not concerned with flushing hundreds of good dollars down this toilet that come and sack your city, setting you back, killing your troops and stealing your resources. Unless you are willing to pay more to get back. Paying my way through a game is not my idea of fun. No stars!

Waste of time

You will spend a lot of time being sucked into this game and it can be fun for the first couple weeks. Then once your city shield goes away, everyone that has been playing for months/years attacks you. Kept having level 22+ players attack (which is like having an NFL team play a 3rd grade pee wee team) and made countless hours worth of work to my city and supplies useless since they take all of your supplies. Even after joining an alliance/clan, I was attacked by others within the same so called alliance. Mind you, all I did was keep to myself and try to grow my city and in no way tried to start anything. Point is, they supposedly have ROE (rules of engagement) but it’s the Wild West and no one or no alliance/clan follows them. Unless you like to waste weeks of your time to have it all taken away, this game isn’t worth it.

Pay to win (fast), play to win (with clan)

An addictive game that is not really about the little mini game that is advertised first. But if you love resource management then this is the game for you. I am 100% free and am doing great, but you must have a real, active clan, learn the ins and outs of the game, and be willing to play everyday. There is no “win” state anyway, you play to enjoy growth over time. The game is clearly designed with many, many soft locks that can be overcome with money or time. Just depends which you want to spend. There are only a few things truly out of reach without paying, several captains require payment to get. But they aren’t needed to win.

Free play journey

I am playing this game to see if anyone can possibly play for a long time for free or will you HAVE to pay sooner or later. Well, so far so free. I’ve played for about 8 months or so I think and haven’t spent a penny. Of course if you want things to speed up, you can buy just about anything. The ONLY downside so far is these super strong players that obviously paid to get everything and attack you, you’ll never beat ‘em. But in summation, yes you definitely can do it for free and it’s a beautiful game with LOTS to do. So with that said, it HAS to be a 5 star game.

Lost interest after a week - impossible to earn gold coins

This game would be much better if it was more possible to earn gold coins to keep the momentum going. A lot of the time the rewards you earn are not given to you. Ie: gold earned in an achievement is never appended to your account. This happens constantly and players end up purchasing resources because contacting the deverloper is a time wasted nightmare. I kept playing, several tournaments to keep the momentum going…. It’s a bit expensive to play but better than others. I would suggest that as captains level up and the cost of building goes up that the amount of gold earned in quests also increase accordingly.

SCAM!!!

First: this game has guilt to collect money in different ways in the coat of a “game”. This is not a real game, you can’t play actually without paying a lot. You will not reach anything without paying a lot. It uses dirty tricks to collect money. If you collect resources at least one will be missing and even you wait weeks you will not able to collect the missing items without payment. If you pay the algorithm will follow you. It will pretend that the game is “frozen”, you have to restart. While you restart – it will take a time and have to restart several times – one of the “enemy” (actually the owner created player) will attack you and rob you. It means that you have to pay again. You will always get an attack when you are offline. Read the comments, several players paid THOUSANDS of dollars without reaching anything. Best method is: – Don’t pay anything. – Stay in the city under the shield and don’t collect resources when you are offline. – Be careful when you are online. return to the city very often – if you will not do the game will “freeze” and you will be robbed. I wrote to the Apple as this game is an illegal gambling actually – nothing more.

Enjoyable

I enjoy playing this game. It is fun and something to do to relax which is what i think these games are for. I believe that the people spending outrageous amounts of money and then complaining about the game costing too much should remember that no one forced them to blow their money on it in the first place. Ridiculous. I haven’t spent a penny on this game and i don’t plan on it. What does it accomplish to have a top score in a game?Nothing. Find something real to make you happy. I’m sure plenty of gamers won’t agree with me but i don’t care. Just my opinion.

Stay away

* Very glitchy game, that they usually make worse when they do “fixes. * Game continually rips you off, after spending $ on it, theyhave a “known issue” that they continually give you the run around about, even tho they admit it is a known issue. (Going on over 6 months) Double billing within the game. * Customer service is a complete waste of time. WHEN they actually respond to your communication, they won't do anything to fix the issue. * Can be a fun game. Definitely a pay to play game. (To be successful) * Different in game costs depending on what platform you use. *Platforms don’t even match. Almost like different games. * Just save yourself some money and some heartache and avoid this App/Game. * Very unethical developers.

Still learning the game

Joined a clan which helps :-) What I found odd: 1. When you lose the territory, not sure how we gain it back to build on it (you can not add / build anything unless we own the territory). So feeling stuck. 2. Your resources are maxed out every time you log in / back on. Not sure how to increases storage. 3. The production for the healing spells is waaaaaaay to low to help revive troops. I think it is 1 per hr 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ That is insanely low when you need so much. 4. The game is slow moving if you are trying to upgrade troops / strengthen them. So much is needed and appears to be impossible to go to, level 3 troops. I state this, if you are trying to play for free (as I am).

The person that says if is free but expensive to play isn’t playing it correctly. Yes you can buy things if you like. But I have been playing for 9 months and have not purchased a thing with real money. Joining a clan is the best way to achieve in this game. You get stronger faster. I probably will never purchase things for this game but if you do that is up to you. Either way you can achieve. So if you hear you need to purchase you don’t but I advise you to join a clan. If you take on by yourself it is a slow rise.

Bait and switch from fb ads

I only downloaded this game because I want to play the mini games where you drive an army over numbers to increase the army size and battle the opposing army. I finished all the levels available and now I’m blocked. I did not realize this was just a mini game and now I have to grind the main game to unlock more mini game levels. I really don’t want to. The rest of the game seems like click and grind like a more complicated farmville. Actions in the game take minutes to hours. If you want to speed things up, you have to pay. The graphics and story isn’t even that great and the stats are too complicated for a mobile game. I don’t get the incentive to play this competitively. It’s not fun.

Fun to a point, but problems

First, it is possible to play the game without spending money, but advancement will take LONG time. The biggest problem with this game is that you are forced to make upgrades in lockstep. What I mean by this is that you can’t, for example, just focus on upgrading the walls of your city. When you upgrade them to a certain point, you can’t go any further until you make other advancements. This prevents you from focusing on one particular area of your game. and when other players see the level of your city, the experienced players can tell the maximum strength of your walls, the maximum level of your troops, etc. This puts the newer players at a serious disadvantage.

Bad customer service, scammy pricing, glitches

Unlocked free hero, everyone has a chance at it. Glitched, hero gone, no customer service response 7 days. Worse yet, pricing and packages change and what was once a 5-$20 purchase now offered at $100 or more. I’m in a good clan and am a good player. Some spend $5k a month in this game. They often manipulate many to do the same. I won’t, I have no problem paying for enjoyment. Do not want to get short shafted and price gouged. This frustration has made me feel as if it’s a time and money drain. If customer service had gotten back to me maybe I wouldn’t have felt this disappointed. Will update by experience and rating if I have a better result. But yes constant glitches lagging and resource disappearance. Smh just disappointed

An adventure

This game is really fun to play, there is a lot of creativity in the design! It’s been a nice change from other games I’ve been playing. Sometimes it’s a little unclear what I need to be doing, I eventually figure it out. It would be cool if it showed your entire army marching to battle instead of just a few troops. The game also chose my avatar for me and I can’t seem to change it. Otherwise it’s been enjoyable to play! One thing I have noticed, I don’t earn gold from the mansions in my city regularly. Sometimes I do but then I could go for days before I earn more.

Money Scheme

Believe all the bad reviews for this game and don’t even waste your time. This game is purely for players that PAY to play - with real money. No matter what the developers or support team says, joining an active clan or whatever their recommendation is, it’s not worth your time or money to play this game. Maybe for others, but just quit while you’re ahead. You could easily spend hundreds of dollars on this game on a daily/monthly basis, and that would not last you more than 2-3 months of playing (and that’s if you’re being frugal) until you’re back at it again. I tried just doing free to play but it’s nearly impossible, especially as you become a higher level into the game. If you like your bank account, stay away.

Waste of time

I thought this was a decent game. However I’m giving it a 2⭐️ because I felt like I had to struggle with the ads in between stages of the game. Not struggle with the game itself, but you have to pay $5 or they keep asking you to upgrade or research or frigging do stuff that in my opinion has nothing to do with the game and for the life of me I’d never understand why they are wasting my time!!! I got frustrated on one of those steps in between the actual game and uninstalled the game so I thought this was a complete waste of my time! It’s an incomprehensible story y’all are trying to tell and honestly I don’t think most people will care for it. Just take people to the actual game bro!

Issues with gameplay

There are cyber bullies that are attacking en mass. The kingdoms try to play and be fair at the same time, but unfortunately, there are players whose credit cards are larger than mine. It needs to be an equal playing field and it’s not. There needs to be changes to the way gold is collected and sent to the kingdom. I don’t mind sending part of my gold ingots generated by my capital city to the kingdom, but I would rather be able to use them to advance my city. There is no way to go to people in need and there’s definitely not enough dragon mounds and wellspring ruins for everyone to utilize. I am rethinking keeping this game in my repertoire.

Overall a good game

Though it says it’s a free game it’s not. The reason I say this cause if u want to advance u got to buy the packs to do so. Your always advancing then once your defense bubble breaks or is up after 7 days anyone can attack u. I do mean anyone this is where I think it’s wrong within this game and where u gots to spend $$$ on packs. Or u can live in a bubble only breaking it then re applying it after u attacked those U can attack. If u going to spend money on them packs I would suggest u buy the most expensive first unless u know u not going to put that type of money into this game. I know I wish I did but oh well too late now.

If you have plenty of free time, add disposable income. This is the game for you. Read some of the developers responses to negative reviews. My favorite “ with a well thought out strategy and tactics. You can level up as fast as all other players” . This is true. As fast as all other players that don’t spend money! I played this game. If you don’t spend money, the odds are against you. The negative ratings are true for the most part. The developers responses have a little truth in them.
