Been with Tri-co since the merger with Norbank. Several banking options on the app are now gone. Some of which should have been kept during this last total upgrade. It’s not procedural it’s the attitude of your help desk. I don’t need to hear ‘I don’t know’ or I’ve never heard of that’. Your help desk personnel should know your app thoroughly. This is an addition to the previous review. I tried to change a payment I had made earlier today. There isn’t an option to modify a payment. So I clicked cancel thinking I would just start over and again the cancel option does not work. ??
I have been trying to just transfer between my checking and high yield savings account which is located on another app for over a month. I’ve been to the bank, they don’t understand the app. If I write a check it gets “kicked” out of the system. Test deposits were blocked. Finally they fixed it to where test deposits will go through but only to my credit cards not saving accounts. I understand they are trying to push their high yield cd. I don’t want to lock up our money and the interest rate is still not as high as some other banks basic savings accounts. I can’t even send a message to the app developer. I have to leave a rating in order to get a bug fixed. I should be able to make a simple transfer. It’s been a month and a half. I feel like they don’t want us to transfer (our) money for some reason. We’ve been $@?! blocked….plus my other rating isn’t even up here?
Tri Counties Bank App is okay when no local branch is available.
I use this app nearly every day to keep up with my bills and finances. I am upset with the institution’s decision to close my local branch. They have made grand gestures to me to improve my feelings towards Tri Counties Bank. As of now the use of the app finally fills most of my banking needs. I have an alternative way to fill my final need. This financial institution goes out of its way to make its customers happy. I will continue doing business with them because other financial institutions don’t go as far to keep their customers satisfied.
I like it and find it easy to handle. BUT: The drawback is, there is no way to identify where the deposit came from once it is made which is a problem if there are many in the same amount. I had difficulty with it recently and was able to resolve it only with a lot of hassle. Name, or account number of issuer of check would be super useful.
As of the day this review is written Tri Counties just came out with an update that added a ton of new features. You can link all accounts to easily see debt/savings/retirement accounts all in one place. See cash flow, and budget expenses, and categorize all transactions to make the flow and budgeting easier. You can also see these accounts in other ways such as a debt chart with estimated payoff over time, trends of how much you’ve spent in each category over time, and your net worth. I Highly recommend their new app.
On top of now being forced to use a subpar app that requires extensive and unnecessary sign in requirements these people are deleting reviews. Plus as hard you try I can still tell one of the only positive reviews on here is completely fake. This is disgusting behavior. It is the 21st century and I implore you to join us but until you do I am absolutely done with this bank. You are horrid when it comes to everything from customer service, debit card reliability, and mobile apps. I am absolutely sick of it. If you didn't insert yourself in communities with limit banking options and awareness you would have been bankrupt years ago.
I hate it. When paying bills it doesn’t add the total billed on that session like before. Also it doesn’t subtract from the total in the checking account until the check is cleared so I’m always having to subtract pending bills. The previous app did that and made it easy. This new one is a real pain to use. It makes me want to switch banks with an easier Bill Pay. Oh and THAT On first click to bill pay that screen is useless and have to go to options then choose bill pay. Ugh
This banking apps offers so much convenience by not only allowing users to check account balances but also transfer funds, pay bills, and manage finances from the comfort of their smartphones. This app used to be great until they did an update and included a “category” feature. Now all purchases are **incorrectly** categorized and there is no way to correct them. For example - every time I get a paycheck deposited it is categorized as “getting gas” rather than saying it’s a check from my employer. It makes it super annoying/misleading and confusing to look through. I even emailed tech support and was told they couldn’t do anything about it. I wish they would go back to the way it used to be (without categories).
The Tri-Counties app works ok, but there are a few issues I have with bill pay - in the previous app I could look at invoices, see amounts due and pay them but they don’t show up anymore. Now I have to write down the amount from the email they send, then enter it in the app/bill pay. Also, when I pay an invoice through bill pay I still get reminders that I have an unpaid bill even though I paid it through the app.
I’ve been a long time customer with Tri-Counties bank. Although, I appreciate the fact, they made a mobile app, this app has a lot of issues. It always tends to say error unexpected at times we need to use it the most. And I have found it sometimes the amount of money that’s in my checking account isn’t always the same amount. It seems to have a lag in catching up with what is your accurate amount of money in there. Overall, I’m just saying it’s an OK app.
My only issue with this app is that it is very picky when depositing checks through it. It usually takes me multiple tries to deposit checks that other banking apps accept on the first try. Other than than that one problem, 5 stars.
Tri-Counties App is easy and convenient to use. Especially, when traveling, it is reassuring to know I can check balances, move money and pay bills without having to call the bank on the phone. Everything is at my fingertips.
I find this Ap useful, helpful, easy to navigate and I appreciate their security. I’m a small-time customer whose been banking with TriCounties since the 80’s. They’ve always been respectful and give me help when I need it. If I have important business, I like to go to the Main Branch in Chico, otherwise Durham is super convenient.
We’ve had Tri Counties Bank for as many years as they’ve been in Middletown ( guessing at least 30 + years!). Always supportive, helpful and constantly working to improve what they do best, BANKING! Thanks for always being here for us and being a great part of the Middletown community!
The new app might be considered an update by the bank but it’s certainly not an improvement. It feels like a step back. Among other annoyances, I’m having to update the app every time I sign on. I won’t repeat the problems that have already been identified by other users. To maintain its credibility the bank needs to acknowledge the issues ASAP and take the steps necessary to improve its online/digital interface.
I have tried everything suggested to be able to access bill pay on this app. No one has been able to help me. The help section is useless, the bank personnel tried to help me and were stumped. This is a horrible banking app. If this continues I will be changing to another bank. Too bad, because I really like banking with a community bank and the people at the local branch are very friendly and helpful ( except with this very poorly designed app).
Honestly I’m writing this while dying on my toilet post drinking sesh with the boys, and it asked me to review the app so I’m doing this mostly as a distraction. Tri-counties bank is dope tho fr and the app works great. Idk what else to say, it’s a bank app. It gives you your bank account details. It works great. That’s all.
As I tried to log in I got a pop up that my account is unavailable at this time. I like the mobile deposit option, but it has often told me it cannot read it with no clear reason why. I had to deposit at an ATM and it didn’t process for a week. Probably more a banking issue rather than an app issue, but sometimes hard to tell.
I have several different bank accounts, and this online app is the worst. It’s usable and does what it’s supposed to do but it’s clunky, especially the Bill pay. In order to get the confirmation number you have to go to a separate element of the site and it’s very difficult to set upautomatic payments that work correctly.
I have always experienced excellent customer service from the staff at Tri Counties Bank Weaverville branch. I am always greeted with kind smiles and professionalism. Super friendly and very capable people make my banking experience there very pleasing on every level. I am a happy and satisfied customer!!
Well organized and easy to use. I’ve been with TriCounties for a long time and I hve always liked their online banking products. I would love to see the interest rates on loans, you still need to call or get paper statements to see this information.
I have been a customer with this financial institution for a long time. I am very pleased with their app, as well as how easy it is to use. This is a daily staple for me. If you are a customer, I cannot recommend this app enough.
Tri Counties has been my go-to bank for many years now! The staff has been very helpful during a time when there had been fraudulent behavior in my checking account. They followed it up and I was credited all that had been removed. I was VERY pleased!
I’ve been with TCB since they bought North Valley Bank several years ago. They have always been extremely helpful to walk me through any problem I’ve had with utmost professionalism.
This app has made my life so much easier! I love being able to check my balance immediately, because I have money filtering into my account all the time, and I need updates constantly. It’s a godsend! Thank you, Tri Counties!
I like the app because it gives me access to my bank account at all times. I can check my balance and know where I am at all the time. I can also make deposits with checks or transfer money.
I have had Tricounties Bank since they took over North Valley Bank and, from the small everyday dealings I haven’t had much interaction with them. Everyone seems very friendly and helpful. Sorry that’s about as much as I can say.
I’m on the app everyday to keep track of my spending and auto payments. It keeps me in control of my finances. I’m 74 years old but can handle it easily. If I do have a problem , customer support is very helpful.
Would like to have an option to pay direct payment to others accounts. Also would like to see more info on debits to understand where the debit was spent. Otherwise easy to use!
The only function I find a bit confusing is the Bill Pay feature. Otherwise it seems well organized and intuitive. I like the remote Check deposit function a lot!
I am very happy with my checking account and Bill Pay experience with Tri Counties Bank with one exception. I can’t figure out how to add info to a bill pay check like an invoice number.
Excellent banking app, it is so easy to use. I love that I am able to combine accounts for one stop financial tracking. I love their financial tools, and I’m so glad I don’t have to use an external app to track my spending and saving.
Since I have had the app it has been a very convenient way to access my account, quickly and accurately, and the more I use it, the more confident I have become in its security. Well done.
I have been with Tri Counties for years. I bank on line using their app. I am very happy with the app and the way they designed it. I can do most of my banking on line. I especially like depositing checks from home.
I don’t see the point of “renovating” something that isn’t broken. The old app was meh but it worked. This one seems to work ok too but again Its annoying that I had to reset my password and learn a new layout because some corporate scum were bored of snorting cocaine from the office tables and wanted to “change something up” Also the real issues I had are with the card control app so go read that review…
There are very few Trico branches, and mine just closed, but I can still do everything except deposit cash online. This app works, and doesn’t seem to ever malfunction. You can’t ask for more than that!
I think the Bank app is ok it at times is down and I don’t have access to my account. That effects me a lot because I have different agencies that pull money from my account for payments. Also it’s seems to take a long time for things to process when I use my account. Thanks, Michael S. Waldrip
Sometimes the app takes FOREVER to load my information, and sometimes it won’t load at all (even after completly closing the app and restarting). It can be frustrating when trying to access my account.
The app is simple and easy to use. My biggest complaint is the day or two delay with money coming in or out. If a check is deposited during business hours on Friday, it won’t show up until Monday or Tuesday as pending and then the next day as cleared.
The app consistently works well. I just wish it was easier to use the bill pay without having to bounce back and forth between the bill pay site and the tcbk screen.
Hard to navigate. So many functions are locked and you have to call in and get special permission to open different items that you wish to use. The summaries are clumsy and complicated. I’ve used much better banking apps.
Having a local bank back here in Redding has been the best! I can now come in to withdraw cash to pay for my monthly horses, etc. This bank is perfect for me who “grew up” in Redding.
