I love this app update specifically because Zelle option is now separate of the other options and I have the balance visible after each single transaction which is useful for me. Thanks Trustco Bank for being on top of your customers online needs!! 🤩🤩
The new app is great! It has so many more features like being able to access full account numbers, more detailed account information, and it makes transferring money easier. Thanks Trustco for the upgrade!
The updated app has features that were quite hard to find before. Now, Zelle is right there on the bottom and one click access. Also, I LOVE the American flag background on sign in. As a vet and an American, this is really cool!
This app is almost never working efficiently. I’ll sign in and it just spins for 30-60 seconds trying to load. After closing the app and trying again 3 or 4 times it’ll finally load after signing in. It’s like this about 75% of the time. The other 25% of the time it works average at best. 4 or 5 seconds of loading between clicks. Needs a lot of work The usability is alright
We love Trustco, We moved to Florida 11 years ago and still use Trustco as our primary bank you have Opened a few banks down here in Central Florida, but none relatively close to us. Please open Branch in the Dade City, Wesley Chapel Zephyrhills area.!
Slow. Times out over and over. Clunky to use. Want to add alerts? You have to click “add”, then click the account, the OK the alert. For EVERY SINGLE ALERT. It’s 2024 Trustco. Reliability is important. And why not a list of alerts, click the alerts one wants (like every other banking app), and then save/submit?
Can you please fix your app? I cannot even log in now at all. Every single time I try to, I keep getting en error message saying an error has occurred.
Can’t login on this app. As much as I try, I changed my password nothing works. Just made a mobile deposit says was successfully deposit but doesn’t appear as pending on my account. tried to make another deposit says I can’t because I already made a deposit of the same amount. Called customer service no help. I have to wait when the check goes through on Monday. Never had this problem with other bank apps.
The check cashing portion of this “new” app was horrible because it only worked on vertical mode, not horizontal. You had to be so far away to get the check to all be in the photo that two out of three times, the check wouldn’t go through. And, if you don’t have the notifications turned on, you have no way of knowing the check couldn’t be processed until several days later (when you check your account.) It looks like the photo portion is working better now, but it still requires me to click the photo rather than automatically taking the picture when it is correct (like the “old” app did.) Next time, beta test before taking away a working app for a non-tested one.
to have a Mobil app that buggy! Please hire some QA engineers and/or good developers. I rarely leave reviews but after spending the last 10 mins trying to just see my balance and repeatedly being kicked out of the application without any explanation or error message (and then getting some random error number while trying to login again) I am annoyed enough to do so. Do the “developers” know that the iPad version of the app does not allow anything, but look at the account’s balance? Any attempt to use any other feature (like transfer)immediately kicks you out of the application. Being a developer myself, I am ashamed of you guys. You give us all a bad name I’ve heard Microsoft and Google have recently laid off thousands of developers. Maybe Trustco Bank can hire a couple of them to fix this disgrace of an app.
Y’all really need to fix this app. After reading several reviews I see I am far from the only one experiencing this problem. It CONSTANTLY crashes for NO reason! God forbid I navigate from the main screen with account balances after logging in..... if I try to access a specific account or make a transfer I am kicked out back to the login screen. Every time! I can use login banking directly though your website but this app. Forget it. And then, after being kicked out, I try to log back in and it says an error occurred and to call. But, when I try to log in after that it works..... but then kicks me out if I try to do anything. I’d rather have the old app back. Especially if this is an issue with iPad compatibly as another reviewer said they were told. This can’t be that hard to do since the old app worked fine.
This is the worst bank ever! The stole 40k from my deceased father with no explanation. I’m still trying to wrap my head around how they are legally able to do this. Their head of legal Camilla is a Joke. She has no idea what she is doing and has to constantly seek outside legal counsel because she has no experience in fraud or investigations. The dean road branch manager Gil who I initially started working with will not return my calls or emails and has directed all questions, comments and concerns to be addressed to Camilla. Well guess what? Camilla has done the same but is now directing me back to Gil. All I’m getting is the run around and the bank gets to keep 40k that does not belong to them. Be aware of this scummy company! If anyone has gone through similar experiences please feel free to reach out.
The old app was so much easier to deposit checks online. Also, with the old app, you could use your iPad and not just your iPhone to deposit. With this new app, you can only use your iPhone to deposit. Furthermore, the camera is completely off and the check doesn’t fit into the frame. It feels like you’re playing a game of Tetris to try to fit the whole check in and it doesn’t work. I already had a check rejected. I never had a check rejected with the old App. This app just feels so clunky and not user friendly. You would think Trustco would have an app developed that made it easier for customers to bank online—especially since this was the key point when Trustco was pushing out the app. Very frustrating and really disappointed in the new app.
I would love the ease of using an app that actually works. This app is not that app. Biometric log in does not work and if you try to follow the instructions to make it work it logs you out. Also, it is great if you only want to check your balances, but as soon as you want to use another feature of the app, it asks you to log in again. When you log in again it says there is an error…gee maybe it’s because you’re still logged in. This is overly frustrating! Please hire a professional who can bring this app into this decade and make it user friendly for all. Try looking at the Glens Falls National Bank app as an example of a local bank who has created an app that’s actually useful. It CAN be done!
By far one of the best mobile banking app I’ve used. Worlds better than the old system they had in place. Modern interface that looks the same across all devices and web page. Signing in progress is straight forward but might seem difficult but they are trying to be more secure. I logged in no problem. Big fan of the Face ID unlock :)
I can’t even get past the login screen right when I enter my information he begins to log me in to just crash in the app closes and I opened it again and have to do the same thing to have the same process repeat itself all over again I suggest just using their website don’t even waste your time if you’re on iPhone
It was a lot easier and usable in the former app. Because it is harder to take a picture of a check now, the depositing a check process takes longer. Also, the placement of the submit and cancel links are such that you end up starting login over too easily and adds time to login process.
This app is extremely slow and in my opinion much worse than the old app. It’s painful to use and sometimes lags to the point where I can’t even log in. You can no longer do immediate transfers from checking to savings accounts. I am just trying to buy my books for college right now and I can’t even get my money into my checking account to pay for them because it’s “after 9PM, so transfers can’t be done.” Not everyone goes to bed at 6PM Trustco... On the bright side it has potential but, the execution is extremely poor. It seems to have been obviously rushed into being released. Please fix these issues ASAP.
It’s good the bank started mobile app which helps a lot of clients do banking conveniently from anywhere they want like deposit checks and transfer money and bill pay. These are the most transaction clients do most. I would like to see Zelle instead of Popmoney for transfer money to different bank accounts using email or phone n.
This is hands down the worst banking app. The camera for mobile check deposits is nearly impossible. First of all, it’s square when checks are uniformly rectangular. Then it flips the view of the check sideways in the viewfinder so it’s impossible to line the check up properly to take the picture. Then if it actually does take the picture, the app closes itself on me. Any other bank’s mobile check deposit I’ve used just lines the check right up exactly in the camera and taking the picture is super easy, so I know it can be done. The app “upgrade” was definitely not an upgrade in the least.
I suddenly had no access to my accounts with Trustco!! After 2 weeks of trying to make my access to my accounts happen, with many tickets sent to fix the problem! Wasn’t working! Ryan was always available and determined to help me get into my accounts and he did!!! I can’t Thank Ryan enough for being so patient and determined!
1. The change to the way they show the mortgage payments vs the previous add, before was better because it showed the breakdown of the payment: how much principal and how much to interest. 2. In the checking account, once you click in a check to see the transaction there is no back button to go back to the list of transactions.
So far, so good. I like the way the app looks but I am in agreement with the mobile deposit camera which is quite tricky to line up the check. It was much easier to photograph the front and back of the checks in the previous version. There are features on here that I have not used yet so I cannot vouch for those.
The app is extremely buggy. Customer service says they are working on it. It’s been months. If the bank wants to get paid on time the app needs to improve. Very frustrating. I will say we love the rates and Trusco has a lot of positives but their technologies been behind for years.
I frequently have to re-verify every two weeks. And your bank is unable to send me a text I have to do a call.I’m going to the local branch to correct it with no success, and I’ve called your technical people no results
Everything about this app is super annoying. Even writing this since I can’t even see the text as it’s just plain white. This app is a complete joke. Seriously fix the text color and change it back to black. Main problem with this app is that there is no face recognition and the fact I have to keep typing in my miser name and password each time. . Try older version of this app was way better. You guys need to higher someone with tech developer t experience. Seriously
What was wrong with the old app. Can’t deposit checks from the app cause the camera is upside down and sideways and the allotted space isn’t even the right size for a check. I wouldn’t care if I went to school in an area that had Trustco but of course there isn’t one for 100 miles near my college. Glitches out constantly and logs you out for no reason at all at random times. You people couldn’t even center the logo on the app icon. Get a new IT department and fire everyone in the current one.
I use an IPad for all my banking. When attempting to transfer, the mobile app takes me out. If I attempt to renter, I get an error. I have reported this many months ago. It seems that this flaw isn’t a priority to correct.
I used to have a few issues with the mobile deposit system but the new update took care of it and made it much better. Overall the app was improved and works like a charm now
This app works very good. I would recommend on signing in you provide us a way to see the user Password so we can correct our spelling mistakes without calling in to unlock our account. It is frustrating and time consuming on both ends. Maureen
The recent upgrade greatly improves the camera feature for mobile deposits but it is still glitchy - it took awhile and lots of tapping to get it to take the photo of the front of the check.
This new version of the Trustco Bank app looks nice but I can’t get anything done on it. Depositing checks is impossible; the camera doesn’t know how to adjust itself to the lay out of the check and anytime you try to take a picture, the app crashes. In general I feel this bank can’t get it together. Since I opened a business account with them a few months ago it’s been one technical issue after another whether on their website or on their app. I’m ready to close my account with them.
I’ve talk to four different people and they still can’t get my biometrics to work the last person I spoke with said that it wasn’t a problem with their app I’m about ready to cancel all my accounts with Trusco and switch to another bank.
No issues with e app on my iPhone, although there is a bit of a lag now. For the iPad app sometimes it freezes when opening the app so you have to close and open several times. Whenever trying to setup anything under the profile it takes me back to the login screen. I was able to set up the biometric on the iPhone but cant get the faceid turned on for the iPad.
