This app is very up-to-date you can mobile check deposit and you can also talk to live representatives within a few minutes and get your questions answered very well.
I love this banking experience. It’s clean and easy to navigate. It is missing a couple (imo) key features I’ve had with other banks. 1 - Zelle; this person to person payment service is almost becoming standard with banking and the user experience. When my banker said “you could bill pay them” I cringed out of my seat. Person to person payments no matter where you bank is important. 2 - digital card rather than having to wait 3-10 business days for my card in the mail it would be nice to be able to download a temporary card to my digital wallet like Apple wallet. Other than that it’s fantastic!
Customer service is the only thing I’d give 5 stars but the app is so behind! Won’t let you make payments on app, you have to go online. When you do transfers to pay your loan there’s nothing to see. Can’t tell if I set it up right or not. What’s worse is payment for transfer options are so limited. When you set up payment it takes forever for the bank to withdraw from the my regular bank account. It’s really bad! I’m so used to using my debit card so payments come out of my account asap. This is so frustrating how hard is to have a simple payment option with faster more efficient ways of making a car payment.
With the new app it is so hard to tell what my credit card transactions are. The whole transaction area is taken up with “Loan advance credit card...” and then maybe a letter or two of the store. I need to see where all of those transactions happened easily. Please reverse the order and make the store/website at the beginning of the transaction title and put the rest at the end. Also, I liked the old stack view of all my accounts instead of having to scroll through to see my balances. It made it so much easier to get it all at a glance. Can there be an option of how we want to view them?
Usually when you get a new App you get a refresh of the look, however in this case they took away a ton of functionality. With the old app I could easily see all of my accounts at once, with balances for checking/saving, and payment due for my car loan. Now you have to dig into each account to find the basic info which was seen easily before. In the old app I could actually see on my loan how much was applied towards principle how much was interest. Now this info is no longer visible. I wish the old app was still around, this was a waste of money and time by Utah First.
Tried to mobile deposit a check tonight. I was completely unaware there was a new app. I’m young and capable with technology, it was inconvenient but I downloaded the new app. Signed in with no trouble. I tried to mobile deposit a check but I had to set up my accounts to be able to deposit in to. I don’t know my account number so this was annoying. After looking up the account number I put it in but I have to wait until it’s set up on the other side before I can deposit my check? Incredibly frustrating. I decided to just deposit it in another bank, one that doesn’t require so many hoops.
I do not have the latest version IOS and therefore cannot ipdate the app. Without the update the app does not work at all. Pointless! Why bank here if I cannot use the app with the previous IOS version. Not going to buy a new phone just to download the new IOS so this app works. Older phones that don’t update to the next IOS are screwed because you don’t allow a previous version to work anymore!
In the course of life we encounter financial institutions which are unwilling to help, so on the scale of good they are a 1. But Utah First is helpful, fast, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and professional, and because they represent the best in banking, I give them a 10.
i absolutely love utah first. The app is overall pleasing to the eye and its high tech. It is also quite easy to use, it makes transferring and depositing so soothing! I love them!
Pretty stoked about Utah First in general. They are slow to release funds on personal deposited checks and they also don’t let Venmo deposit to you account, but Venmo can pay out of the account. Change this stuff and y’all would be 5 stars.
i love the new app! but. could we please have app developers rename it so it doesn’t say “UtahFirstDigi...” under the app icon. it should simply say “Utah First” as the old one did.
This UFCU app is fast, current (or as current as merchants post) very easy to use, intelligent and very handy. And, the app uses face recognition so you do not have to fuss with verification numbers. Great app.
They keep adding Pennie’s to my credit card account AFTER I pay it off in full so it says it’s payed off but then just before billing cycle there’s literally a penny in the red and I get charged $20 for a late fee. I call them to inquire why this is happening and how I can avoid it and they hang up on me.

This app has gotten worse over time. My checking always has the incorrect balance. When I call they can’t help me. This issue has me seriously considering moving to a different credit union…
Hate the new app, yes has some new features but now it’s harder to find things, have to go through multiple screens when it used to be available in one. Just don’t like it.
The new app/update is terrible. The visibility into each of my accounts is not good and the layout of the app is awful. It is a lot more confusing and not as user friendly. GO BACK GO THE OLD LAYOUT/APP!! The old one was awesome!!
