It used to be that the app would stall out when trying to log in. Thankfully that rarely happens anymore. VeraBank has really improved the app and I don’t dread having to log in anymore. It’s now easy to log in (without stalling) most of the time and checking on accounts or doing transfers is quick and easy. And I like that the app can help you set up to save for a goal/future purchase.
As most of the reviews say so, the new app it’s awful. It glitches every time we open it (if it opens at all). Transactions take a long time to clear up. Overall it’s the functionality of the app that doesn’t work. We have to reset the phones in hopes that it will help but in reality, it’s the app. After someone left a bad review there is the “customer service “ answering asking to send an email to the bank stating what’s the issue, it seems the same type of answer to all the reviews, and even if we send the emails what are we gonna say? What are they gonna do? We don’t need the bank to go over our transactions or stuff like that, that’s what the app it’s for. If the app it does not fix the bank may lose a lot of customers because it’s a pain trying to manage transactions with an app that doesn’t work as it should. If someone is monitoring these reviews please bring back the old app if this new one can’t be fixed. Thank you.
Where do I even start?! I can’t log in on the first try EVER. I have to close the app out completely and try a second time. Ebills are no more, and even though it says ‘ebill eligible’ I dare you to try and click on it. You have to tap in just the right spot when trying to type in the amount you want to pay, your ‘bill activity’ (scheduled bills) is in the wrong order, you have to scroll down to see which bills are scheduled to be paid… the bills that are scheduled the farthest out are at the top… I really don’t understand how that makes sense, and you can’t edit a scheduled bill, you literally have to cancel it and reschedule it. I could go on. Y’all didn’t work with someone that uses common sense when developing this app. There’s an easier way to do this! Please fix it!
The original app had features that I did actually like, as well as presentation that was easier to navigate. One example is the access to bill pay, which now has to be found in the “menu” section. I wish the tab bar the bottom of the app was customizable, because I rarely need access to “chat” Also, now the bill pay section continues to display items after they are paid. It’s distracting (to me anyway) and overall I feel like the app in its original form was easier to navigate and easier to read. Also, CONSTANT display issues and bugs, (at least the bank does put up a banner in the login area alerting you) that make utilization at times impossible.
honestly don’t understand why people are complaining. No one likes changes and these boomers are proof. Everything has changed but if you take time to actually play around with the app,you will see that it works just as good as before. Definitely loving this new app and how easy it is to use and maneuver through it! Can’t wait to see what else Vera has in store for us soon🫶🏽
The app is getting better with the improvement of identified individual payment notices rather than lumped in the same total but…. I would also like to see “scheduled payment” and date in bill pay like you do “last payment” and date rather than having to go to each individual payee to make sure it’s scheduled already. This new app is enough to make my husband and I want to switch banks. We have different issues. He can’t even log in. It just stays loading. I am now having issues depositing checks through the app. It will accept the “front” picture of the check, but never the “back” picture, no matter what I do. It’s so confusing when you’re trying to look at your withdrawals/deposits. And there’s no widget option of the app like the old version had. The old app was better. I don’t see why they tried to fix something that wasn’t broken.
Good functionality with one exception - I wish I knew how to make the app shutdown automatically. Currently it stays open until I manually turn it off.
The App has always met my needs in terms of reviewing past and pending transactions, transferring funds, making mobile deposits, checking on my current credit score, and the like. The setup of the App makes it easy to maneuver through and find what I’m searching for.
This is the kind of bank that treats its clientele like crooks, while being crooks (exorbitant hidden fees and loopholes) and while siding with devious corporations. Their favorite move is to charge you an overdraft fee when they don’t even pay the overdraft. Any other bank does the right thing and just declines the transaction. So if you get hoodwinked by someone, VeraBank is still going to charge you EVEN THOUGH IT GIVES UP ZERO CONSIDERATION. The bottom line is this bank wants your money to be their money and will swindle you out of it by any phony means necessary.
I like the professionalism in the whole structure’s language. The personnel, and customer services are great. There is so much good within the application alone, everyone using this must take time to explore each availiable feature. Well~Done Vera Bank!
The app is something that I use daily and multiple times a day. I have several friends that have VeraBank as well and it’s nice to be able to do an internal instant transfer to another VB customer without incurring a fee.
I work later into the day and can’t make it to the bank to deposit my paycheck. With the photo deposit I’m able to deposit my checks without worrying about making it to the bank. Great app very helpful

There was nothing wrong with the old app. I don’t love the layout of this one, and it’s been glitchy for my husband and I so far. Deposits literally always glitch. As soon as I hit submit it always takes me back to the login screen logged out, and sometimes the deposit goes through and other times it doesn’t.
Love it , it has been easy and accessible anytime anywhere , I help my Mom with her finances and she gets to look at it also , a small miracle , thanks keep up the good work nice banking with you all
My ebills all went away and now I can figure out how to set it back up. In Bill Pay my payees are showing Ebill eligible, but there’s no way to add it on the app. I called customer service for help and after 10 minutes of them trying to figure it out we got disconnected! Y’all need to fix this stupid app!

I do not like that in this new app every transaction is the same color. On the old app when you made a deposit it would be green, there you could tell a difference in your transactions. It would be nice if that were fixed.
It honestly feels like a sideways stick is stuck up my bummm using this app! I can’t sit and use it. I can’t walk and use it. Nor can I just use it! I can’t afford the “fun pack” so I guess I’ll just go buy some diapers….gahhhhhhhh not looking forward to pulling it out anytime soon. I sorta like the awkwardness. Why doesn’t the bill pay total the amount of bills that you enter? It’s annoying to have to get a calculator to add the totals when that was a feature before the new app was introduced.
Was charged a late fee from VeraBank for something that was on autopay in the previous app. Because they sent “many emails” they would not take the fee off. I should’ve been contacted directly not notified from a generated email that listed this change at the very bottom.
Please bring back our old app! I do NOT like this new one. It leaves transactions pending for 2 days and doesn’t give you credit right away for mobile deposits. I just don’t like it and I’ve been banking with VeraBank for nearly 10 years. It really makes me want to switch banks.
When I open the app, it has to decide in which kind of login screen to use, manual password or Face ID. Then I quit the app, restart it, and it defaults to the Face ID method. Strange.
