Much improved. Still makes me leave app to bill pay
It’s gotten pretty good again, but I still have to leave the app to deal with bill pay. Also, it has canceled scheduled payments and transfers without reason or notification. One monthly payment functioned perfectly for some 8 months, then simply stopped paying. This put me in arrears with a lender, forcing me to pay the total amount financed immediately. If I hadn’t had the ability, such an error could have been devastating. The app also seemed to successfully create repeating transactions twice, only to have them disappear, without payment. Apparently the third time was the charm, and it has made its first transaction. Remains to be seen if it continues to function.
Using the Verity Bank (App) is beneficial to use and an easy convenient resource to pull up my account info. I like that there is a section in the app where I can send messages back and forth to one of Verity's Banker and they will send messages back and I can say that is a great communication tool resource to getting your questions or concerns through to the Bank and someone getting back to you. I HIGHLY recommend that if you bank with Verity to use the app for a faster way to see your account instead of the website being the only avenue.
Great! Easy to use and navigate. Almost don’t need a teller to do banking business. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii and the time it use to take to conduct banking business was up to a week to get the check in snail mail. Now with electronic banking I can usually have funds ready in a couple of hours at the most. Amazing, this age we now live in. Of course it wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and expertise of the Verity CU staff, technicians, associates and members, so “Thank You For Your Service”. Appreciate all that you do.
Have been using Verity app for years, and like that they keep improving it iteratively. Used to be a little janky, now it’s easy, smooth, reliable and simple to surface whatever I need. Mobile access to bill pay could be better, but it’s still easy to pay one bill at a time; I use my laptop for “bill day” anyway. everything else I need is right there.
Only issue is that there can be two ways that there is a discrepancy between amount and available amount. Sometimes what’s “not available “ is deposited sums that are on some sort of hold and soon more will be available, sometimes you have authorized payment of funds that have yet to be withdrawn, so soon less will be available. I wish that distinction were immediately clear and not requiring detective work to determine which it is. Otherwise excellent.
The app seems generally good, but I had a very frustrating experience with the check deposit function. It did not like one picture—and I could retake it, but it continued to refuse the picture, with no obvious way to cancel the transaction and start over. I finally thought to change the account to which I was depositing, and that seemed to reset toe interface. It took quite some time, however, and I was concerned about the status of a large check. A “cancel transaction” button would gave been helpful.
Great app, fairly usable and functional for almost all of my needs. One concern is on quick transfer screen. Once you select an account “from” you can’t unselect it. Almost every time I go to transfer from my checking to my savings or vis versa I select the wrong account and it won’t let me change my choice. It at least shouldn’t have a default account chosen in the “to” box so you can do the whole process yourself manually. Hope that makes sense. Been meaning to write this for a while.
I love verity! I first had encountered them with my first auto loan and then I decided to open personal accounts and now myself and my family members are all members of this credit union. They are so helpful and kind, at least the staff I’ve worked with and it’s a personable experience. I’ve moved out of state and I refuse to switch credit unions.
I use this app for depositing checks into my business account. I typically deposit a few at a time at 2-3 week intervals. Most of the checks go through but every so often I find that one or two checks just can't be deposited. It always has to do with the photo of the back of the check, as evidenced by the big "!" and, no matter how many times I adjust the position or light, it just won't work. I am about to try again with two checks I tried depositing the other day. We shall see.
Mobile App is meager in being helpful. Multiple “sign-off’s” with no initiation - which results in frustration and personal time lost. Being locked out of “your own” financial conduit is fearful. Administrative “assistance” compounds the issue. It’s as if they hope you “just go away”, and where their stock answer is “it must be your phone”. It’s curiously clear that no other application behaves as this one does. Password’s are regularly compromised (again - frustrating) which have caused this “long time client” to start moving monies and seeking more reliable management of financial’s and security.
Easy to log on and perform all banking functions while on the go. I can check my spending, categorize my purchases and pay bills. I can also message my bank quickly if I forget to tell them I’m leaving town so any possible fraud transactions can be assessed right away.
used this app for years but recently the check depositing function has been acting weird. it logs out at least once for every check i deposit, making my log in again and start the whole process over. sometimes it just doesn’t capture the picture and i have to try several times. help this bug gets fix bc otherwise it’s a fine app that is very handy.
App is improved. I haven’t had much time to sit and play with it, although, what I’ve interfaced with so far is much improved. I look forward to engaging with this new format…ease of accessibility and wayfinding is more clear and less clicks away. Thank you VCU for listening and pivoting. In our ever changing world we see less of actual people on phones. Not here it has the best of both worlds. People or computerized phone banking. Been a member for over 30 years and still love this place. Only wish they’d open a branch the east side. Maybe Bellevue or something.
I am pleased with the Mobile Verity Website. It’s easy and convenient. And I like the Facial Recognition feature. I also am thankful for the ability to see my other Bank Financial Account. I am thankful for the privacy, confidentiality, and comfort of having this so available for me. Thank you for this Survey.
Having used multiple different banking apps. This is one of the most straightforward. I’ve only run into a couple glitches where I can’t do something. And it’s not something that windows often. But every thing else I’ve been able to take care of on the app.
The app overall is great for me! I’ve noticed after so many times of logging in that it won’t let me log in...this is over a good amount of time..well if I delete it and then load it back it seems to be fine. All the features are great except being able to make credit card payments.
The Verity App allows me great access to my checking, savings, and loan accounts to with the credit union. I open the app to pay bills as I get them out of the mail box so I’m sure not to miss a payment and can schedule for delivery on the due date. I’m able to transfer funds from savings to checking in no time flat.
Every time I log in using the app on my phone, it asks to send a 6 digit PIN to my phone as part of the two factor authentication. Then it asks off I want to “register” the device, which I always respond “yes”. I assume that registering my device means I can just log into the app using my phone without sending a PIN in the future but it doesn’t seem to work that way.
I use the ap all the time to check the transactions on my accounts. I also use it to pay my credit card with Verity each month. It makes my life easier when I can do this remotely and at any time of the day or night as needed.
The app is so easy to use, everything at our fingertips. I am able to check all my accounts and even pay my bills and send messages. Incredible. I would recommend it to anyone.
Like the features and processes of the credit union, the app shows that it isn’t on par with other larger banks. Outdated menus and somewhat ambiguous design with lacking features. You’re charged for a debit card, for example, which offsets a huge portion of the gains you’d make in interest. When traveling, you need to submit an inquiry to let them know rather than just selecting dates on a calendar. All in all, meets the bare minimum.
With this app I can do mobile deposits more easily, transfer money more easily, have an overview of all my accounts immediately. I can do more things and I can do on the actual website. It’s perfect!
This app lets me quickly check out all my accounts. I can use menus to manage moving money and check statements. A different menu takes me to credit score. Helpful and easy.
I really like just about everything about this app. I can do basically all my banking here. I can even communicate with Verity, and their responses are quick and complete. The one thing I don’t like is that my account loads so very slowly when I want to get into it. I have other banking apps, and those load much more quickly.
I really enjoy the App for all my business and Personal use. It is so much easier than making time to go to the Credit Union. Has been a little confusing at times but I have figured it out.
I have multiple banking credit union apps. Verity is one of the nicest to use. I keep it simple and the volume to do bill pay plus various smooth transfers and you can even give nicknames to your accounts
It’s great. Glitches sometimes if you try to do multiple bill pays in a row but after logging out and back it it works again. Easy access to everything
Just as this review title states, I have to log into the app each time I want use it, even if I choose “remember me”. Takes the utility of having an app on your phone, and just throws it out the window. Plus, it is little more than a portal to the website, with its viewable area and functionality greatly impaired. It needs to be an authentic stand alone app for it to have any true utility.
I haven’t experienced issues or bugs with this app. I also love that it has basically all the same capabilities as the desktop site. Verity is awesome!
I gave the review in the title I despise these constant requests for reviews. The app is still easier for me than the desktop program. And it seems to me once I have give a review software update could stop asking for reviews.
User friendly and if the app is down verity will email you and give you a heads up before they work on it. Love this credit Union! I think they really do take care of their community.
Sometimes when I touch the screen/menu it doesn’t work right away and I wind up making a number of errors which become confusing and difficult for me to resolve. Other than that, I really like it.
It’s easy and I have been banking with verity longer than any other bank or credit union so keep up the good work! I trust my bank! That is saying a lot!!
I've used Verity's mobile app for years now. It's intuitive, logical, and easy to use, as well as secure. Hard copies are in frequently needed, lower carbon footprint print. Long time fan here! Circa 1991 Member Kym
The app has been used by me nearly since it’s inception. It has always worked excellent for me. Facial recognition works flawlessly. I highly recommend this app.
This is a fair app,55 because there is no way to make credit card payments. I have called for help but didn’t understand what was said. One of the ones I did understand was to get in my car and travel and have a teller do it, Great if I could drive.

I love the app for Verity! It is so easy to check my transactions, interest, and put in checks! I also love that I can check my credit score and other things. So easy and user friendly.
Meets all my App banking needs. I feel Verity is a credit union that really cares about its customers and staying on top of providing great products and competive rates.
Scrolls off screen on mobile. All of my recurring bills like cable and insurance used to be paid automatically and I could look at the bill. Customer service said that is not available anymore with the new system. I haven’t got a paper bill in years. I have to call those companies and get paper bills again. I don’t want any more junk in my mailbox...
i use this app regularly for all my online banking. my phone allows for touch identification which really helps. lots of availability banking transactions that can be done. only down side is that no warning when password needs to be changed so i get locked out occasionally, and need to call customer service to get the password reset.
