We ordered two Vestaboards and neither would pair with our wifi out of the box. The customer service was stellar — a Zoom call with bright, knowledgeable people on a Tuesday after I had sent an email on Saturday. Seems to me early Vestaboards May have shipped with some firmware problems. So be aware set-up may not be as easy as you hope. Ours are working now and we love them.
Vestaboard has brought value to our home way beyond what we expected -- we use Vestaboard to keep an eye on our business throughout the day while mixing in life-giving messages and creative visuals. When we gather with friends in our home, they always ask about the Vestaboard and we have so much fun sharing the valuable ways it enhances our home and business. Our friends know to check it when they arrive to find birthday wishes, kind words about them -- or even silly reminders! The app is easy to use and the Vestaboard Plus options are such a great way to add to the fun.
I have owned a vestaboard for many months and have it in my living room. I use it with my family many times during the day. In fact my wife and three kids all have the app on their phone. We all enjoy using the interface and find it very easy and reliable. We have never had a single issue from I’m boxing and setting it up to using it multiple times during the day. We’ve been very pleased with the product so far and can’t wait for what’s next!!
I’ve coveted a Vestaboard since I first read about them when the company won the 2021 Red Dot Award. Once received, it did not disappoint - the board is easy to install, works like a charm, is packaged beautifully, and is a sight to behold. The Vestaboard inspires creativity among staff and surprises and delights our customers. We are still finding new and innovative ways to use the board. The app is easy to use and well designed. Kudos to Vestaboard - what an amazing project all the way around.
We’ve had our Vestaboard for almost a year now and we love it! It is an instant conversation piece and a ton of fun for the whole family as we battle it out with our postings. On top of that, it is super well designed and it looks and works great. And the team at Vestaboard is very easy to work with you if you ever need any support. Highly recommend!
The app is fine, though not super responsive. Vestaboard + should be included in the initial product/hardware purchase. The product itself is easy to lose interest in without any prompts or use cases. Think of Vestaboard+ as a demand gen capability for your company. It will influence more people to consider one of these or, as it’s implemented now, will do nothing for you outside of those who have chosen to voluntarily pay for it.
It seems like feedback from a year ago still hasn’t improved. Be careful what you tap on in the app because it’ll take at least a full minute to load (if it doesn’t run into an error and require you to restart the app). It’s disappointing that Vestaboard clearly doesn’t prioritize app improvements because by the time you buy your hardware you’re locked into the software. Sigh.
Out of the box, this thing looks great…but it doesn’t work. Seems to be a widespread issue. Neat product but recommend waiting a few cycles for them to fix major quality concerns. I now have a polished aluminum piece of trash hanging on my wall.
App always crashing upon opening, rare software updates, very slow product releases. Such a shame that such a great product is handicapped but an unusable app.
Primitive free features that don’t promise anything better.
This app is supposed to be the interface between users and the device. Unfortunately, The manual editor is painfully clunky. There isn’t any way of previewing or editing the “auto-arrange” quotes, which in practice means ‘hope you like left-justified text with no particular control over the lines’. For a $3300 piece of equipment, useful basic tools that are equal to (or better than, ideally) a literal monospaced plaintext editor would be really appreciated. Furthermore, typing with a Bluetooth keyboard in the manual editor just doesn’t work on my galaxy tab. You have to use some strange onscreen keyboard, which is just ridiculous (Yes, this is an android app feature, but it’s the same app.) I would be fine with this if there were another interface. But this is the only way to change your Vestaboard. How is it this bad? There’s a lot to improve.
