Video Background Eraser

This app is good for erasing backgrounds for videos, and you can add a new background that is either a still photo or another video. However, when replacing the background with another video, the new background video must be longer in length than the foreground video otherwise the new background video flips sideways. Hopefully this glitch is fixed with future updates but at least I figured out how to work around the flipping.

When I first got this I was like ok this is great. It’s not fancy or anything but the whole point is to get the job done. So I’m in the process of making a movie and I was changing the backgrounds and it worked perfectly. The only thing I didn’t like was that it took forever to load and sometimes it would cut off a little bit of my arm but I can’t complain because this is really hard tech stuff. Then when I was ready to do it to my next video it all of a sudden wouldn’t load. It would stay at 0.0 and I would wait a whole 5 minutes and it wouldn’t load. I even got rid of the app and got it back but nothing worked. I recommend if you have very little space used and only want to use it for like 10 videos. Please just fix the bug app because it was great beforehand😭

Does erase the background fairly well when with a green screen, however, doesn’t allow you to customize the removal so you have to take or leave the results and they aren’t really largely great results. Better than other apps, but not exactly it yet.

I needed to erase the background from a video and this app did this , it comes with the option to change the background to different “video” effects . Just started using it 5 mins ago but I was asked for a review and I was already impressed 5 mins in. I hope I can buy better quality video backgrounds and unlock more pro features 😀👏🏽

Search, set up, video upload, video processed, all in under 5 min for 6 second up close video. Quality is ok but very useable for what I need. I do wish there was an editing tool you can use to clean up the edges like you see in most photo background removing apps but since I didn’t pay for this….I understand why it isn’t available. 5 stars for easy and fun.

I downloaded and tried so many different apps, but they weren't user friendly and my background kept bleeding through. I think I found something that will actually work!!! I just experimented with one video so far, but I will definitely be working with this.

Choose video —> trim it (optional) —> click —> done! It doesn’t get much easier than that!! It would be A MILLION TIMES BETTER though, if there was a tool for users to refine the erasure or to manually select the specific area(s) to keep/erase. As it is currently, sometimes parts of the video I want to keep get cut out and vice versa. If it’s a video of a person, I likely just want to change out the background…they still need their hands and feet ya’ know?! But hey - it’s free…so who am I to complain?!

Most apps are so trash and scammy… I downloaded the app went in and literally within three minutes, created a video, removing the video background and placing it in front of another photo. i’ve never used anything like this. It is so simple. It’s ridiculous. Awesome app so glad I found it. Thanks to ChatGPT.

5 stars, all they asked was a simple review. What more could you ask for, they do exactly what you are looking for. Removing the background and allowing you to add a green screen. The Ai removal is like a 85% hit or miss. Most the time it hits and you get what you want. Oh and for free. If only other apps could be this simple.

I’ve just downloaded the app and trying to export the file after trying the app for the first time and it’s asked me to rate it in order to continue. As I haven’t yet received the file, I can’t rate that part in terms of output quality but the background removal part could be a bit better from what I can tell. There don’t seem to be any settings or way to adjust what parts or how much of the background to remove. It removed a black background from 7 sec video featuring simple moving white icons on a red banner. It removed the black background but it’s not perfect and ion some parts it removes part of the red banner and white icons. This probably works better for videos with people in them.

Takes a very very VERY long time to remove the background! Like 20 mins! But- It is the only app I’ve found that removes the background on its own and provides background options to be applied automatically. So props on that honestly. You win for that. I’ve tried MANY apps. You’re the only one I’ve found who can do both! Just please speed it up a bit.

This allows you To extract your subject from the background. The subject can be sized, repositioned and then you have the option to use a photo or video to superimpose them. It renders fairly quickly, too. You can combine vids or vids and pics. Great app. I only wish I could mask certain parts.

Although the eraser isn’t the best it still gets the job done, I also like how it lets me use my own background and not pre-made ones! I love to edit videos but just couldn’t figure out the green screen on my editing app I use, so this comes in handy! Keep up the great work! :)

Pretty good but still needs improvements, maybe make it to where it can recognize a background better but still a okay app and cute backgrounds to use, didn’t ask me to purchase anything a thousand times! (:

I love this app. It works really well, oh tho I haven’t really figured it out yet lol. It works great for videos however you can’t use it for pictures. You can just screen record the picture you want. If you have small details that are not part of the background it might remove it. Overall I would recommend using this app.

I’ve been trying different ones all night. The others cut the background AND THE SOUND!!! No thank you! What am I a mime??! This one took the background away nicely. It’s a little hairy but 99% great cut out and the sound came through nicely as well.

It won’t move forward unless I rate but I haven’t finished trying it. I applied the first video (a 14 sec vid).It did take the background out but it also took some of the subject out. I was just looking for something that lets you correct that and I got held up for a review. If I can’t put subject back then that’s not good. My video was not on a green screen

Still learning. I’ve gotten a transparent background video of me as the subject cut out onto a background I chose from the APP. The video of me is sketchy quality … I hope somewhere in the controls I will be able to do the masking myself or refine it and also if I can upload my own background. I will give a better rating if I can learn how to improve the final creation.

I didn’t realize something like this was available. You just open upload a video and background video or background photo and you’ve got yourself a new background. Suggested improvements: -There is a little bit of bleed but not too bad -I find that text on the screen also doesn’t read well, but that text could be added afterwards -it took time figuring out what to press to get to the background screen (press the upper right check mark) Considering what this does I give a top marks. A dream come true really!!! It really makes videos look better than any other app… as far as switching backgrounds… the video I changed was so authentic looking even the subject that was in the photo said “gosh when was I there???” lol

I am enjoying using this. It saves me a good amount of time. it’s not perfect but I wasn’t expecting it to be. I do have to spend some time cleaning up the video but it is much faster than having to rotoscope

This is the only free app i could find that removes the background and adds a backdrop that you can import free of charge, i have been looking for something like this for hours and i have finally found it. Thank you developers

I was amazed at how simple it was. It’s not perfect, but it’s incredibly simple to use. Just upload the video, and it auto removes the background as it loads. It does upload slow for me, but I’m also still using iPhone 7.

Just trying out this app & on my first video, amazing how well it works. It has lots of background videos to choose from too. I did some editing in the free version. I haven’t paid yet.

I got this app because I wanted to completely remove the background from video and export it as transparent. No matter which option I press, my only option is a black or green background. It shows up as a transparent background when you remove it on the app, but try to save it or export it and it’s back to being black. Which is useless if you are attempting to create gif stickers.

Didn’t expect it to be this easy or this quick to remove the background from video that didn’t already have a green screen.

I like it a lot. Longer videos take a while to process, but it’s definitely worth the price I paid, and if you have the time, you can make some pretty cool videos with many options for great backgrounds. It’s also really easy to use.

It is a great app. I made me and my friends become inside of an airplane. I think all of you video editors need this app. I do have to say it takes forever to save a video, but forever = 5-10 minutes.

I love using this app. The only thing I will say is for the background remover after it’s done doing it’s cut out give us the option to turn up or down settings like in the green screen one.

Great remover of backgrounds. Annoying problem happens when uploading your video - when phone auto shuts off, upload gets error, so you have to start upload all over. Especially annoying for longer videos

There’s no way to change the file format of the video and .mov doesn’t work for most things. AND ever since buying the full version, which I don’t normally do, I’ve been getting countless spam emails to where I’m going to have to change my email. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do technically, but it isn’t worth it.

This app is better than every app you have to pay for. I’m writing this review because at this point I owe something to the people who created it.

So far this is a fun and easy to use app. My only suggestion would be to allow us to play the clip once we’ve changed the length before moving on. Other than that it’s a lot of fun!!!

I really like this app more than the first 3 that I tried. I almost gave up and settled for my crappy background in my videos. Glad I tried this one bc it’s awesome to use.

Did just what it’s designed to do easily removed background great to have access to an edit like this on your phone easy and convenient.

I don’t have to much of an opinion yet as I just downloaded the app. But In order for me to download my first video they asked me to rate the app. I have no issue with this but I just can’t leave a fabulous review at this time. 😅

With one click I was able to remove the background of a video interview. The edges are not 100% clean and crisp, but good enough for social media posting.

This is very cool. After looking around the house for my green screen curtain, as it were a thought from the LORD JESUS, I searched for an app that does the same thing and here we are! This is a blessing

This app is great, I don’t have a green screen at home and it works perfectly. It does reduce the frame rate a little bit, but it is best working app I have found.

I like this because it actually works. A lot of other apps like this one tend to not work. I like this because it has an easy format so I can easily make mini movies. 😌

I was searching everywhere for a way to change video backgrounds and this app was the only free one that I found that worked so easily!

Things I should of known a long time ago keep it how it is just add were you can edit clip slice your video, would do justice to the creative minds to this app.

Everything seems to work so far. It take s a little while for the rendering but I would rather have it take awhile and good then be short and crappy

This software was right upfront it didn’t have me buy into anything only to have me spend more money I absolutely love that I love the clarity I love the fun I can’t wait to use it again

Worked with random background video, but solid would be better

Was very excited to try this but was unfortunately disappointed. It may work well for your needs, but I found it either also removes my dark colored subject in the foreground or doesn’t completely remove the background. Also, App wouldn’t allow me to save anything unless I left a review.

This app is awesome! Did exactly what I was looking for in a chromakey effect to a video that I had already edited before I wanted to key. Awesome. Will use it again. Recommend. I can see how it’s fun too.
