The export function is not available on my IPad where it is on normal computer systems. I find it very annoying. Thank god my husband has a computer, but this one function should be available for my IPad so I can order reports off my Visa Card account with specific dates and then I can download into an excel spread sheet. I do not understand why this one option can’t be added to the mobile version. I need it every month.
The app just disappeared off my IPad, so I had to reload it. And the Touch ID stopped working on my phone. The app is slower than the old VSECU app. And the “chicken” graphic for the app is simply ridiculous. It’s like the bank thinks it’s catering to an unsophisticated clientele, which is somewhat insulting. You just know this is a downgrade in services when they’ve spend so much money on advertising how “great” the new merged bank is. And as someone else mentioned, line items are kept in the pending status too long. I know the transaction has gone through because the vendor already received the funds, and shipped the item out days ago, and postal tracking indicate the package will be received tomorrow, and it still shows pending on the app. I do think the account debits shown in red is an improvement.
One of the key things that I liked most about the old NEFCU app was being able to see both “current” and “available” balance (which included pending transactions) on one view. It made it easy for me to manage my banking. Having to remember to click on the details tab is a big change for users and feels like a step backwards for the app. And why does it feel like “pending” transactions are staying in that status longer than they used to??? I like a lot of the things about the new app and am getting used to the changes, but PLEASE bring back the ability to see current and available balances in the same view!!!
I have used this app for over a year now. I used to love it, but recently have been locked out from any usage on my phone. I’m unable to transfer money to my debit card (a fairly important thing), and am extremely frustrated. I called VSECU today and was handed to a online banking rep. They were unable to find anything wrong with my accounts, and said they would refer me to someone who could help, and that id be getting a call back later in the day. I haven’t heard anything back, and even after completely clearing my phone and restarting everything, I am still locked out. Extremely frustrating.
I have enjoyed banking with VSECU since the 1970’s. From the start of this new bank face called New England Credit Union, I have had trouble time and time again with charges to my account, with a cold none responsive reply that your need to wait before we correct our errors. I have found many members thinking about changing banks, myself included. I miss the personal financial trust I had in the local branch. Respectfully, D. Davidson Long time member
Hi there, my only suggestion would be the either change OR give the option to change the dashboard to show available balances instead of current balances. I don’t know about you, but I have zero use for the current balance when that dollar amount does not reflect anything pending. It is annoying to have to click further into the app to get the information I need. If this is already an option, I apologize. I have only looked around once or twice to make this change and didn’t see this option. Thank you.
Had NEFCU for years live the bank still do the app update is trash. The single most anything thing is they no longer show your available balance. They show the current balance then you have to do the math yourself for any pending withdraws to figure out your balance. Biggest deal in the world no. But considering the NEFCU app would do the math for you and show you what you have available in a big green number at the top. This feature should have never been taken away on the update. Your(developer’s) are just going back in time. The app some new features that’s are okay. But also I fell they just made the app look busier with very few added features.
Hi Guys! I wanted to take this time & opportunity to say Thank You for your hospitality when I came in to open my own Personal Banking Accounts. I realize my account goes a little crazy, up & down, on keeping a good, clean, account. It is my sole attention to stay in great standing with NEFCU. I’m about to start going through a divorce & it’s not a cheap process, plus an emotional one. I digress on my personal trials, so again, I just wanted to thank you for your support & services & I look forward to banking with you now & in the future!. To me, you are, the only 5 star credit union here in Burlington! I recommend NEFCU to anyone that needs a great banking institution, as well, a staff that is a pleasure to work with! So it’s been a pleasure to rate your services. Sincerely, Mary E. Maslack
I cannot stand this app after the transition from NEFCU's app with the merge. Their app displayed an available balance above the current balance which made managing funds much easier. Having to remember to go into the account, switch to the details tab and scroll down to see what amount is actually in my account is outrageous. I should be able to do a quick check from the main screen. Please add this feature, I nearly went into the negatives thinking my current was actually my available amount.
I’d still like to receive a hard copy in the mail but are not getting them anymore. I go on-line and use my paper and ink to print them off. I totally get the paperless concept but like to look at a few things on something else besides a screen, especially when it comes to balancing my checkbook … yup, still do that too!?
The new NEFCU app is terrible! The amount on that is shown available is never accurate. Before it would say actual and pending amounts. Things take forever to come out and one of my deductions disappeared! Lots of my friends and coworkers who also use the app have similar feelings and experiences. Please Fix!!
I appreciate this app, I really do, especially when I didn't want to go to the indoor atm during the pandemic. A year ago, the app was easy and quick to use. After a few useless updates, it is now as annoying and glitchy as all the other apps and websites that were just fine to begin with but for some reason are "updated" for no apparent reason.
I’ve always like the app for New England Federal, but when they went through the upgrade, it felt like they tried to update it just for the fact that they need to update it. It was working fine, now it’s more confusing to figure out when bills are going to go out in the Bill pay part of the app. But overall, it is still a good app
I’ve had NEFCU for years and never had any issues or any complaints. Ever since the merge with VSECU I have had issues and will be switching banks. They got rid of many quality of life features and only brought them back after many complaints from customers, you can’t call the bank anymore as you get an out of country call center. My paycheck will sit pending in my account starting on Wednesday, but my money isn’t accessible until the bank opens at 8am on Friday.
App is alright but the whole credit union is no longer user friendly and makes things more difficult than previously. Such as moving money through Venmo or cashapp triggers a thing and flags it as fraud 50% of the time. I’m not allow to use my card with Apple Pay and they tell me they’re unable to verify it after sitting on a robot phone call for 5 minutes. I also guess I have to get a new debit card and switch over every automatic bill and subscription. Going to be switching banks.
Always helping the customers asking them how we can help them and never treating us just like another number or a customer always treating us like family and never pushy like I have been at other banks when I was younger, there’s no other bank out there
Thank you for adding this so I can just look real quick and see my actual available balance minus stuff I’ve already spent. So so so useful. 200 out of 5.
The previous version showed you balance, amount due, and next due date for all accounts, right on the Home Screen. Now it’s 2-3 taps and a swipe into each account separately to find that info. You could also schedule a payment/transfer from viewing that account. Now you have to back out and click trough a different menu. The interface is also way busier - somehow less info takes up more space.
I have no issues with the merger of the two credit unions. But I have to say I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the new Bill Pay. When it was just NEFCU Bill pay kept a record of all transactions. The new format does not. It was an awesome feature and I am disappointed immensely with the new format. All else is the same.
It’s incredibly frustrating that Zelle is no longer integrated into the app like it was in the previous NEFCU app. I used Zelle to pay my rent but since my rent cost exceeds Zelle’s $500 send limit, I have no quick way to make my payment. Launch of this app should have been delayed until ALL services in the old app could be functional in the new. The new layout is also not that intuitive and makes for a confusing user experience. I wish I could access the old app.
I have been apart of this bank for at least a few years now. This new merger I have no problems with. What I do have problems with is not seeing my deductions from what money I’ve already used. It provides false information with what I know to be true. I cannot accurately get a sense of how much money is in my account because I know I’ve already spent some and the balance has not gone down.
The new ap is awful. It freezes or won’t open to log in. To get it back I have to delete the ap and download again or reboot my phone. Usually that brings it back. Now I’ve been unable to log on with for two days. The web site works on my laptop but not the phone. That’s better than nothing but still a bad website. Seems at least 15 years behind my other banks’ websites.
I prefer the NEFCU app over big bank apps. It gained Zelle a few months ago and now it’s got everything I want and need in a mobile banking app. A win for the credit unions!
The online banking service makes things so simple!!! I actually rarely go to the bank. Wherever I am, whenever I want I log in and handle all of my banking!
I hope the merger doesn’t go through. Take pride in what you have accomplished in the 75 years. A merger only shows greed is your motivation. It will do nothing of value for its members. I hope members vote no.
I can’t say for the VESCU side but the NEFCU side of this merger has resulted in poorer service. The app is not intuitive and instructions are not clear. My primary concern is the mobile alerts are not functioning properly and customers are no longer able to get current balance information updates via messaging.
Went to the st Albans office to sign up for a new account. Time 4:35 ( told we don’t have time tonight) information was already in the computer. For working people this is not good business practice
I’m a new member and only joined because they joined the larger NEFCU. So far, the app is top notch and their branch customer service is amazing. I switched from a bank outside of VT and this place is great so far.
I loved the old NEFCU website. I liked the look and feel of it and the little door to log out. This new one is the same old pedestrian site as most others. It has no character or class.
This only provided a yes or no answer which really doesn’t reflect the undecided. So I answered yes as it isn’t bad but it isn’t a full yes as there some problems with it. Add 3 choices, yes, no & undecided. You get real result of improve when you respond to the undecided.
The NEFCU app does everything I need it to. Simple interface. Aesthetically pleasing. Not a lot to say, alas. My (banking app) needs are simple and this app fulfills them. Happy with it!
Re-add “pay to principle” option when moving money into mortgage
Please re-add “pay to principle” option when moving money into mortgage. The old app had this feature and it made everything work. The new app moves extra payments into “unapplied disbursement”? Don’t know what that is but it’s wrong. Please fix.
They enlarged the log in but I struggle reading the small copy of Che is I have written out. It would be nice to be able to enlarge the print on images of Che is
The old online banking was imperfect but so much better than this. This looks and operates like my credit card apps, NOT LIKE MY BANK LEDGER. I cannot even add transactions like when I write checks for example or when I have reoccurring bills that withdraw each month. So Disappointed : (
I am using a NEFCU application for at many years. I never had issues.. But now with this new version I cannot access from Brazil. Why not? I travel to Brazil periodically and I need access from there. I called support and they have me dummy explanations. I worked 49 years at IBM and I understand very well connectivity and TCPIP stuff. Please fix that. I consider that a SERIOUS BUG. Reginaldo Barosa
I know it’s a new app and all, but how does one back track so much. One major feature that was useful that was removed upon joining the banks was seeing what was available under what is current. Hopefully this returns!
