WBOC Weather

This thing is a treasure. I don’t know what made me try it. I wish I’d had this years ago! I use the app chiefly in the Delaware Beach area and USVI. It is far more accurate than WeatherBug, WindAlert, or the National Weather Service. How can this be? They’re using the same data, aren’t they? I’m a competitive sculler, checking the wind all the time in Delaware. In VI it’s for getting around in powerboats. Yes it gives weather anywhere, not just Delmarva. For some reason it takes longer to load than WeatherBug or WindAlert—a very few seconds. WeatherBug has all sorts of peripheral stuff which is not terrible. But this is the best on actually predicting the weather. Not just the wind, but the temps at least in VI, which you would think is a piece of cake since the highs and lows don’t change much, day to day, but the WB and WA apps don’t cut it.

Going to have an off and on rainy week. We need the rain especially for the crops during this hot spell. My recently graded yard is like concrete it is so dry. Been dragging around the hoses and sprinklers to water it!

I enjoy it because it’s of the region I live in. Easy to understand and up to date. I’m dependent on the weather for what I do, so it helps a lot. I gave it 4 stars because I do not like the ad placed in the middle of the hourly section!!

Before you “updated” it. It was easier to use and navigate. And I don’t understand all the coloring. Maybe there could be some explanation?

Really love the video clips. Having these meteorologists put it into words is really invaluable! Grateful for you all.

Really enjoy your weather forecasts;however, I prefer your written forecasts over video.

Why do I have to set up the map filters and other “local” settings Every Time I Open the Flipping App? And what’s up with no weather on the weekends? I realize delmarvans are allergic to work but you could at least “phone it in”. Always a day late and a dollar short.

I DO NOT like the new format. It’s not direct enough. Bad choice on your part.

Weather reporting is weak on weekends. The quality analysts are on weekdays for video. Weekends video is either from earlier days or just reading and talking the screen from the junior weather person.

There are no intrusive ads in this covering up content. This is how you do it.

Sometimes it never makes it past opening screen. Freezes or just doesn’t work.

Your prior multipart weather app made current conditions, radar and what was ahead for the week easily understood and appreciated. You have now increased your advertising revenue at the cost of clarity and ease of use. It was a move in the wrong direction.

I really liked the old app better. This last update has me going through more steps to see the information I want.

Do not like the new format of app. It is not as clear as the old one.

There was nothing wrong with the app until this last update. Now it crashes as soon as you open it and shuts down. I’ve uninstalled.

This app is very helpful

This app used to be great. Ever since the most recent update, it won’t fully open and force closes shortly after trying to launch.

No longer defaults to current weather or radar. At 6:30pm today, weather is dated 12:54pm... with Florence nowhere to be found in radar screen.

I requested this app today. It did not appear on my screen and doesn’t give me an option to “get” it.

Video forecasts are not current. Trying to get an update now and forecast is yesterday mornings. It’s 11:30 pm.

Better than the older app. Better radar than Weather Channel app.

Great app, straight forward and easy to use. One thing is like is the ability to set my location. It always defaults to Salisbury.

There is a "Historical Weather Event" starting in less that 24 hours. Please tell me why your video reports are more than 24 hours old?!?!... Shouldn't you update these at least when you broadcast three times a day? Really?!.. I've gotta find an app I can depend on for weather in this area. I'm disappointed in WBOC!

Thanks for fixing red on blue temps. Great app You need to up date daily more often. Shows 70's when video shows 90's. Can't stay up on weather if you dont

I wanted a weather app that was location focused. There is no way to set it to your specific location. It is automatically set to Salisbury. Also the ads are large and at the top of the screen. So it's difficult to concentrate on viewing the weather.

This is a good app except the daily temperature shows up red and is very difficult to read.

Why did u take off the live Newsplex?

Pros: accurate information, easy to use, good graphics and plenty of customizing options. Con: the start up city is always Salisbury Md regardless if you have 'current location' or another city (Dover) location.
