This app saved mine and my family members life. We were in the 1/21 Hattiesburg early morning tornado. If this weather tracking app wouldn’t have alarmed us, we would not have known to take shelter until it was too late! Thank you for keeping us up to date in real time ❤️
Having quick access to weather info and live feed here in MS during dangerous weather is so appreciated; the WDAM guys are the best! But the delay in loading the app, and waiting thru the ad, when a tornado is overhead is frustrating and can be dangerous! If there is any way to disable the ad when life-threatening weather is imminent, it should be done. The app is becoming less wonky, but this ad thing could make the difference between safety & injury, so the app is still 3/5 for me
This App is getting worse and worse. One day it said my location was right in the middle of dark green, red, & yellow on the radar screen (meaning it was raining) and it was sunshining big as day at my house. It had not rained all day! And for the past 3 days it has been completely wrong regarding the forecast. Actually WDAM has been wrong about the forecast also. Don’t know where y’all get your info from, but maybe you should get it from a more reliable source! Not worth having this App or watching the weather on TV anymore.
I love all the features, it is great to use to help you figure out what to wear for the day. I also love how it gives you notifications for when I will rain, it is very precise on what time it says the rain will come. I just really love this weather app😃😃
I have vowed not to use any business that shows up when you launch the app. Even is you just leave and return to the app you have to go threw an ad to see this possibly life saving information. Also why do I have to have Facebook to get the emergency weather streams? Those streams should also be on this app. I deleted my Facebook for privacy reasons and had to make a new one just to make sure I wasn’t about to get blown away.
Been rough with the tornadic weather today and this app from the WDAM team has done an outstanding job at keeping me well informed of the storms and weather. Thank you guys so much for keeping me covered on the weather.
Not a single weather app is perfect but WDAM weather app is the best for my location. They are more accurate than accuweather and the apple weather that comes with the iPhone.
This is the best app for timely Pine Belt weather info but the absolute worst for stupid ads (Toyota of Hattiesburg and Salvage World). If you like to watch local retailers make a fool of themselves, watch the ads on this app.
This might be the most frustrating app just because of the ads. I get that they have to make money but if I’m having a tornado warning going off and I open the app to see where or how close it is to me and I have to see a Toyota ad as soon as I open the app. Not to mention the required video ad before the live stream. 0/10.
Upon opening the app, you’re met with an ad. I understand the necessity of ads since the app is free, but it takes forever for it to go away. It’s an inconvenience on good days, but in the event of severe weather, it’s rather nerve racking!
I understand the ads but at least do away with the huge Carter’s jewelry ad. Make it a banner style and put somewhere else rather than in your face every time you open the app to see the weather.
Downloaded to check on severe weather. Every click came with ads before I could get to the weather. Completely frustrating when you need to know what’s happening fast. Take the ads down. Trash app until they put their viewers safety first.
New update will not allow me to open app. I tap on the icon and it closes after a couple of seconds. Has been doing this since the last update. Have turned my phone off a few times to see if it helps and it doesn’t
In the rural south where most people don’t have access to high speed internet and cable tv who depend on their phones for weather… they do not need to see a carters jewelry add while a tornado is on the ground…
There is no place to click to get the app. All kinds of info about channel 7 weather. Places to click to get other weather apps but not the WDAM channel 7 weather app.
I get sick of seeing that bald headed Toyota of Hattiesburg guy when I want to check the weather. Would’ve been a 5 star rating if not for his bald self
I use this app often and although it’s not perfect, it is useful. Except for this morning when nothing will load and it keeps asking me to rate it.. So I’m rating it.
