I love the bank that I go to. The people are always so friendly and there never seems to be much of a wait. Anytime I have a problem it gets resolved right away. Sometimes I’ll need to call the 800 number and resolve a problem and it’s always easy to do. I could go on and on about Westamerica I have i’ve had an account there for a long time and I would never want to go anywhere else. I appreciate Westamerica very much
I have been banking at WestAmerica since before it was WestAmerica, and the service has always been outstanding. Now that I can look at my account online and DEPOSIT CHECKS by taking pictures of them with the app, I like it even better. My husband banks at another bank in Novato, and I will never understand why. Their service is terrible.
I’ve been with them for many years and it’s a great bank . There’s been two issues , there’s one young lady that’s rude , not knowing the circumstances going on in somebody else’s life she was extremely rude , but I’ll definitely be sticking with Westamerica , I’ll be sticking with them .
It sometimes can take days before information to totally appear. It will show the amount of withdrawals but will not show the source. Also when making payments in billpay, sometimes you do not have a choice to post the next day. You only have a choice of several days delayed which can make you payment late.
It would be great to get a faster update. Sometimes I have to wait a day or two for an account update. Also would be great to stayed loged in after you close the app (I know it’s for safety reasons) Maybe when you are going to write a check you must type your password?
They keep your deposits for days without showing the real balance on the app. They even send notices that your balance is low, when they have your large deposits in hand. I’ve been fined for overdraft when they had $2000 deposit they hadn’t made visible. The phone tellers sometimes apologize, embarrassed that their employer is so backward, from the 1950s. I’m about to switch my account to another bank in desperation.
I bank with another institution and when I make deposits, withdrawals or money transfers, the activity is shown almost immediately on my phone app. Unfortunately, WestAmerica has a substantial delay in showing a customers transaction.
The app locks up when trying to capture a photo of the check being deposited. It says to rotate the phone, but then doesn’t rotate in the app. You can’t complete the deposit process if you aren’t allowed to capture the check image.
I rated my entire experience with Westamerica. I love my local branch and would rate it a a 5 out of 5. Having said this Wesamerica’s in line banking is slow and outdated. The transactions available are limited. I’m serious need of a technological update.
Reverse deposit charge. ATM missing deposit envelopes again
I tried to deposit at Westamerica ATM at 7333 Redwood blvd Novato. It was out of envelopes again, such that it was necessary to deposit using the mobile apt. This is the 3rd time in 3 months this has occurred. I should NOT be charged for the 2 deposits today.
Sometimes it take more than a week for a transaction to clear in the app. Very frustrating when there is a transaction that’s pending but the vendor made a mistake and they charged the wrong amount so I don’t know who to go talk to. I’ve tried calling customer service, but they have any more information than what’s showing in the app.
Why do they make you look at the picture and approve it a second time?? Takes too much of my time. West America could take a lesson from the Redwood credit unions site. Much more user friendly and they don’t charge for online service or to deposit a check online!
It’s been several weeks since the Mobil deposit app has worked. Trying to deposit a check and the app says to rotate the camera but the camera never comes into focus.
I’m unable to see my past payments ,and also doesn’t show the interest charge over time. West lake does a better job breaking down the payments. This bank doesn’t give no info just how much it’s owed and next monthly payment.
This app used to work but now does not. I can login on Safari or on my IPhone, but larger screen is better. And, no way to contact help either through the developer or the bank. Very annoying.
There’s always a pop up error about check readability. When it asks if you want to keep or retake the check the popup notice COVERS THE ENTIRE LOWER PART OF THE CHECK PHOTO. I never know if the image capture the check routing#/account or not.
Like you still love, Westamerica Bank and this app but it’s really gone downhill and not useful. I can’t deposit checks and often times the connection is terrible. I’m done.
