Now that they’ve finally added Touch ID, I’m a happy guy. Bill pay is actually easier on the app compared with the web because the confirmation step is simpler. However, it’s not possible to modify payees on the app. But overall I’m happy. I’ve been using the app for several years, with no complaints. Easy and reliable.
I love that I can transfer money from one to another account. You can take a picture of a check, deposit it and in couple hours it will be in your account. I like it because i don’t have to leave my house to do all that. The issue is with the log in. A lot of times it won’t let you access your account and says the app is down and you have to call the bank. And your log in info doesn’t work. It’s very annoying when you need to access your account ASAP and the thing doesn’t work.
Constant issue with their online banking. Balance the day after Comcast bill posts, youd think you would know what your balance is, so you pay another bill with your bank. Come to find out they didnt take the money off your balance. So you think your checking is at $390 so you pay $350 on a bill, come to find out your balance was really $320 and then they charge you $30 because you overdrew thinking their app showed the correct balance. 1/10 would not recommend this bank to others.
So the latest update appears to add TouchID but it says it’s not available for mobile banking at this time. What else would it be available for!! It also disappears from the app after the first time you open. Still a garbage app.
just trying to resign into my account on a different phone, I was kicked off answering security questions for “inactivity” then they locked my account, I called got it unlocked, went to signin again, went through 4+ security questions just for it to lock again and say it can’t confirm the answers. Why even ask for that many then? Why not just have a phone verification or email, or not have me answer 5+ personal questions just to signin. ITS ABSURD
I like that your app now features more up to date things...like depositing checks through the app. I wish your bank offered different colored debit cards to differentiate when there is more than one account.
You guys got rid of the app that alerted you for every transaction. Now that it’s all combined to one app I don’t get any notifications whenever I make a purchase . I have all the settings turned on for notifications. I preferred the old system better
I really enjoy the app.. Being able to have my money secured is amazing. Only thing I don't like is sometimes i'm not able to make a transfer but it hasn't happened too much.
If you want an app that experiences “technical difficulties,” multiple times a day causing you to not be able to log in to see your balance leaving you hoping you don’t get over-drafted, is NOT user-friendly at all, has the visual interface of Windows 2000, then this app is perfect for you.
Constantly unable to log In due to service outages. Also if you have a fraud charge you can’t just dispute it in app like other banks. Or even call their 800 number. They make you physically go to a branch and sign a paper and won’t give your money back for 3 weeks.
I go on this app just about daily and had to update to this version less then a week ago, not to keen on this one ,thought the older version was more user friendly and had a small calculator down in the middle for easy calculations instead of leaving the page, not so happy about this.
Constantly have to close the app and manually enter in my login information. For whatever reason it seems as the app only works from 9-5 with their operating hours. Considering banking elsewhere with how frustrating this app can be.
Terrible! Bring the old App back, PLEASE!!! I have an older very dependable phone and now I can no longer have a WestfieldBank app because it requires a newer operating system. it’s very unfair and extremely inconvenient. An update should not be mandatory they should be optional. If there is a way around this update please, please let me know.
Since the update this app went from a good 5 stars to a 1 star and honestly if I could give it no stars I would. All the good features are gone. It logs u out if u accidentally hit the home button but what I really hate is how it no longer shows the dates of the last time you paid the bills you have set up on your bank account to pay. I actually counted on those so I'd know what bills to pay every other month. Now I have to use a different app to keep track of what I paid on what dates or aimlessly search my transaction history. Yes I could go on the computer but that defeats the whole purpose. I have a list of things I hate about this new update AND the desktop version as well that was updated. I dislike it so much I'm considering going back to my other bank because the banking app is similar to how this one once was. I don't know what genius thought this update was a good idea but it's not. It's absolutely TERRIBLE :(
Every good feature of the old app is gone. If you accidentally hit the home button while using the app, it automatically logs you out and forces you to sign in again. No fingerprint scan, no balance after purchase, most of your older transaction history isn't available, and this thing just looks to cheesy. A true overhaul is needed. I'm surprised I can even see my current balance! They really put no effort into this new app.
No fingerprint login? No transfers between bank members? No history in the bill pay to say what was paid the previous month and when? Some of the best features of the previous app are gone. Disappointed that this was a huge step back and not a step forward.
Over all this seems like a well designed app. My biggest complaint is that the new app doesn't seem to use Apple Touch ID for log-in. This makes the app much slower to use and much less convenient. I hope this will be fixed in an update soon. I would give 4 stars if Touch ID worked.
I think I've been able to use this app successfully maybe once since it was updated. Used to love how easy this app was now I dread having to open it. Oh and these "minor bug fixes" didn't fix anything every time I open the app is says "error" and I can't log in.
This "new" update seems like it took a step backward. Instead of making the app better took things away like Touch ID for my iPhone which makes me have to put in my password every single time.
Some of the items that I am unhappy with include: The payee names in bill pay did not carry over correctly I am unable to add new payees in bill pay I clicked out of the app to use my calculator app and I had to sign back in when I returned
The old version of the app was so much better. Please bring back the running account balances and the new system for depositing checks is equally frustrating.
The loss of Fingerprint Access alone would warrant a one star rating, but a five year old could've designed a better interface. Back to the drawing board WB
Crashes all the time and mobile deposit works every 10th try
WB needs a new host for their mobile banking, or maybe better backbone for it to run on.obile deposit works for me 1 out of 10 tries and app crashes so much I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app 2-3 times now. Called tech support at WB and they say everything is fine on their end. My other bank uses the same mobile banking software and it works perfect so has to be something internal for these guys.
