I use WeTransfer to for sharing the final deliverables my film production business creates with clients. It is fast and reliable, and has the capacity to deal with the very large file sizes film work produces.
There's no way to drag and drop multiple files from different folders as once you drop the file it will automatically start the upload already. I also compared uploading via the app and via the browser. The upload via app is always stuck at "preparing".
For some reason, this app added almost 400 GB of files to my hidden library, which was a nightmare to figure out. I thought I was downloading a simple way to send large files. Also simply sending files from the menu bar was not easy or intuitive. I deleted this.
I started using the app because the website would time out on uploads. The app if margnially better but it still took several attempts to finish. Connection is totally fine. 1GB fiber connection and no problem uploading 3x as much to other services.
This program refuses to die. It would not do anything and then when I tried to delete it it would not shut off and drained my battery. when I put it into a folder it jumped out again and refused to shut off. I found a We Transfer shortcut icon in my file and deleted it first. Then I had to put it into a file folder then move it several timesto a deeper folder then delete the folder to be rid of it.
I love Wetransfer! This app works just like the web version, except it's always ready to use on your Mac. I'm considering Wetransfer Plus. Wetransfer team: Please keep updating and bring more stuff to the App Store.
I downloaded this app form appstore on my Mac but it does not open, then decided to remove the app from my computer, the message appears: you can not delete the app because it is open! On the list of open applications it is not listed therefore I cannot force quit. I am stuck with this spam junk and concerned about malware installed on my computer and risk of being hacked.
Because all the app does is give you a download link, you can’t track who has downloaded the app through the Transfers page. It would be nice if there was an interface to add emails and send directly through the app.

While the concept of this app is great, it’s totally pointless without the ability to set passwords or expiration dates for downloads. I hope these basic settings are added in a future version. Back to the web interface for me.
I bought the WeTransfer Pro which is promoted as a bundle including Collect, Paper and paste. However none of these apps seems to be integrated with the WeTransfer App. I really regret to havve purchased it.
Downloaded the app and it wouldn't open. After trying to put the app in the trash I get a message that I can't delete the app because it open. WeTransfer, what's the deal? This is a dead app.
This app should not be released. its clearly not ready and is more of a hassle than a convenience. Considering the good web based service, this is terrible.
I appreciate not having to put in who I send it to. I usually have to send it to multiple people and not always at once. Now I just send them the link. dankjewel
All you can do is upload files and generate a link. Why can't you do the same simple things you can do in the browser interface? All I want to do is start an upload and have it send the file to a specific email address when it's finished. Instead I have to start an upload, then go to the browser interface, then send it from there. That basically makes the app pointless.
I downloaded this app on my Mac and it won’t open but when I try to delete it I get a message that says it open and I can’t delete it. It’s useless! I had to do a web browser search and transfer files that way. wetransfer.com
I had to uninstall your app because it was draining my battery in sleep mode. I'm on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) with macOS Catalina 10.15.1 Prior to installing the app I would have my MacBook charged to 100% and close the lid then wake up to it being just over 90-95%. When I installed your app and closed the lid then woke up it would be at 25%. I checked Activity Monitor over the past 24hrs and WeTransfer was the only thing draining battery and at high usage. Once I uninstalled the app my MacBook went back to normal activity. Why would your app be using that much battery in sleep mode?
