Simple and light weight

Works well for my needs. I like having the push notifications when someone enters a room. It would be nice for the system volume to actually effect the call volume. Calls always play at max volume, regardless of the volume rocker. Might be an iOS issue because I also notice this with one other video calling app. PLEASE MOVE THE BLOCK BUTTON. Twice I’ve accidentally blocked another caller by accidentally double tapping them, as Block appears in the top of the context menu when you tap another caller.

oh my god fantastic

my friend and I were looking for something to sorta hack our schools system in a way. we needed to speak at night while her phone was not able to be kept with her. so I went on a search.. and then *ta da* I found whereby. a beautiful set up. a cute chat room. clear audio. I love. corona can not stop us.

Needs to be able to save rooms

The application handles video calls better than Chrome, which causes the fan to spin hard, and Safari, which doesn’t require as much CPU. However, this app desperately needs some way to save a list of rooms. I hate having to first setup a business link then set the room every time I want to join a call. Please add this feature!

Great replacement for Room

I was using Room until they closed down and this is a good replacement, if not better. The only thing I don’t like is that it prompts for “how did you like the video” after every disconnect. There is a Skip button but it’s still a little annoying. Other than that it’s great!

Sound

Just wish there was a way to turn the sound completely off as I am not always in the room alone.I have tried everything and not figured out how to do this.

Still too much for the iPhone to handle

I have the iPhone 7. It is extremely choppy...to the point where it takes 5-10 seconds for the app to respond. When it does finally respond, half the time it doesn’t do what you asked it to do. I have sent incomplete messages in the chat log, switched to other apps when trying to select one of the options on the bottom of the screen, the list goes on. I even rebooted my phone and closed all other apps. The problem persisted.

Best user experience ever

So so so easy and smooth to use. Love this app on my iPhone and my laptop. Sometimes it has an issue with Bluetooth audio - when connect to my wireless headphones I can’t hear anything and they can’t hear me. But usually it’s fine.

Works well !

I use it from my IPad Pro and would love to have the functionality of sharing my screen so that I can draw stuff in notes using my pencil while brainstorming.

Great Program

Easy to use. Get it in the App Store. Easy to Navigate. Chat function to write other participants. Choice of camera on/off, & Microphone on/off.

It WAS great now garbage

I have been using for years and loved how it was multi platform and easy to use. But the newest update makes it impossible to use. Me and my friend today tried to use and after an hour gave up Time to look for a new app, just when you thought Skype was garbage Great job programmers

Pedos use this app

I know this could probably be expected from video chatting things but I’m actually 12 and a LOT of predators has asked me to go on here. I just looked to up to see what it is and now I know why they wanted me to go on it now. Idk how you could fix this problem but maybe you can put like a warning before you go into video chat or something..

A little like zoom

Whereby is a little like zoom. The only problem I’ve had is that the virtual backgrounds don’t come up. If they did, I would change this to 5 star.

Piano lessons

I take my piano lessons via Whereby, and it’s working out great, I can’t wait to see my teacher in person but this is the next best thing. Thanks Whereby Keith Chase

I think that you should have a timer for how many hours that you have been on appear, but overall this app is good

Make an update

You really need to make an update where you can screen share on an iPad. I mainly work off of my iPad but because I can’t screen share on it I have to use my PC. Please make the update asap

Good, but one issue

I’ve had a pretty good experience with the app, my only complaint is that when I exit and re-enter the app I can no longer type in the chat.

Excellent Conf Capabilities

Have been using the app for several months with companies in EU and US and have had excellent outcomes with clear connections and relatively infrequent disruptions.

Video sharing issues

Hey I can see only two of the people I’m trying to contact the 3rd is just a black screen and I’m on iOS using an iPhone 7 any ideas on how to fix this ?

No Screen Share for iPad...

I love Whereby for camstudy, but the screen share feature was not available for iPad... Hopefully they bring in screen share for iPad so I can share my iPad screen directly without mirroring to the computer.

literally my life now

i love this app. me and my friend started using it for our school chrome books and now we use it instead of facetime because it’s just so cute. i literally love it so much.

Don’t recommend

This app was okay at first but now after using it it’ll cut off every minute or so for about 20 to 30 seconds. Also it gets choppy and I have the iPhone X.Not worth it.

Not up to what it claims can do

It says allow 4 people to be in a call but the forth one cannot enter room as it says room is full. No good at all

Lack of screen share is a deal breaker

I can participate in a family group meeting but a can’t share my screen on an iPad. This, dear friends, disqualifies Whereby for me.
