The idea behind this app is great, but it’s just not reliable for regular broadcasting. The video feed into wirecast is choppy and the app frequently needs to be reset in order to get an updated feed. Most users aren’t going to know how to identify an IP address from their phone and enter it into their PC, so it’s also just not a user-friendly solution.
I downloaded it and could see my phone in Wirecast but there was no video. I paid for the in-app purchase thinking that would solve the problem but it didn’t. Still just getting a black screen. How do I request a refund?
This is a decent app however there is no smooth transition I tried streaming to my you tube both on wifi and my data both works however the idea of having to pre load lower thirds. Ummmm no wire-cast I would gladly pay more if the feature was there outside I that a pretty solid build. I love wirecast been using wirecast pro for a long time
At first, I thought it was a mistake. It was me that was mistaken. The application indeed, stop broadcasting . I was a little shocked at first, but after it faded I realized that I was tricked into downloading an app that was looking for suckers. I had been, had. The app designers made it clear that this app was made for streaming but only delivers for 8 minutes(long enough to make you either buy it, or you hit the road) what is essentially a great execution but a flawed cash grab. I digress. It was fun to use but if it had only indicated it was a timed trial, I would've had more fun with it and eventually decided to buy. It's alright though, I've decided to try something else or trying watermarked software to get some time with the features. Better luck next time with this customer. "1 out of 5" - me.
This app used to function very good and was very reliable but since I upgraded my phone and software, the app doesn't function as well anymore. Ever since I upgraded to an iPhone 7 with iOS 10, the app has been functioning very poorly. While streaming, the stream goes in and out and skips around as if it's buffering. This has happened on more then one occasion. Please update the software to the requirements of the mobile software that uses the app.
I really like the the potential of this app. It’s just missing the the ability to add music and video in the scenes. Once you can add those features this will be a complete on the go broadcasting app. I hope that this is in the works it will really make it better than all the others.
This is a great app if you want an irl stream with an overlay...but it’s a shame you can’t stream a screen recording with an overlay too. I would seriously buy the app and up my review to 5 stars if it had that feature, I would love to stream games with an overlay!
I downloaded the free version and with easy steps i was able to stream right away. Don't know why people couldn't make it work. Paid for full version and can switch to any of saved video
We've been using this app for years with success. The version 2.1 update which was supposed to work like the discontinued Wirecast Cam as streaming source for our Wirecast 8 is a flawed update. In landscape mode there are no controls are visible on iPhone 6s+ and on the smaller screen of iPhone SE The controls go off the screen. Portrait mode all is visible, but no pro will use portrait mode! Do not download this version!!!!!
The app works great when it works. iPhone 7 with iOS 10 and we constantly need to delete and reinstall the app. At this point we surrender to the fact that we are doing it every time we use it. And then the phone doesn't always connect so sometimes we can't actually Live stream and have to record to the phone to upload later. There needs to be better options.
The only reason we tried this app was to use it with Wirecast rendezvous. But after many test with many phones we found it scrambles the video feed and renders it completely useless. Really wanted it to work. It seemed like the ultimate solution to many needs. But it is buggy and inconsistent. And unusable. Very disappointed. But glad we tested. We were very close to purchasing their $1,000 software. Whew.
Downloaded what is supposed to be a free version. If you try to start a stream it says to upgrade for $5.99. I would not mind purchasing if I knew it would work. It should not lie and say you can stream free when you cant. It says you can upgrade for additional features before you download app but this us a lie! You must purchase to gave any function with no idea if it will work! Screw you wirecast go!
Working with licensed version of software the live camera disappears if layer button is pressed and a layer selected. All 9 shots show black, unless picture is selected. The only way I found to restore camera is to reinstall the software.
I actually use this app to stream to my Apple TV at events that I have a tv at. I can do live “Dance Cam”, “Kiss Cam” etc. with overlays right on the wireless feed to the tv at the venue! The creativeness of your own logos is unlimited!
Purchased for RTMP, but I cannot reliably add graphics layers on iPhone 8 Plus running ios 11.2.2. Most of the time when I select a graphic nothing seems to happen, and if I click on my live video while in the editing mode it edits the video layer!
Great start but we need to be able to add video clips from library too to help bridge the gap between the platform experience and the iPhone user experience. & it would help you compete with programs like Switcher Studio. If you like this get Wirecast desktop!! So awesome
I got the app because it says “pairs perfectly with wirecast”. They never tell you that only works with 8 and up. At least there’s no one tutorial on their page telling you how. I paid the $5 thinking it’ll open more settings to connect with 7. I wasted my money.
I wouldn't take a chance on this app due to the deceptive descriptions. The free version does not allow streaming. In fact, I couldn't get it to do ANYTHING without purchasing the full version. No way. Liar, liar, liar. Wish I could rate negative stars for wasting my time.
I'm sad I spent money on this hunk of hot garbage. The ui is horrid. No directions or help screen. You're not even sure how to navigate between different parts of the app. The makers should be shamed into not making any more apps. Telecast was out for your money on this one.
I was able to connect using RTMP to broadcast on Periscope but only broadcasts black screen and no sound. Everything looks ok, bitrate resolution etc. developer needs to fix this issue. I have paid for the app and it is a disappointment.
This app only works the first time you use it when connecting it to Wirecast. After the first time the screen connects but no video appears, just a black screen. Even after I paid it still didn’t work. I DON’T RECOMMEND!!!
Downloaded and paid for app, couldn’t live stream, kept getting a message that I was blocked, reinstalled the app, then couldn’t gouge stream still, Wirecast was asking me to pay for the app AGAIN. Now working on getting a refund. AVOID.
Waste of time unless you buy. The truth is everyone like me installs this thinking they can right away test a stream. No you can't unless you buy this. Very disappointing.
App description is simply false. When trying to begin a new stream you are redirected to buy the full version. Are developers allowed to misrepresent their apps?
They don't have enough bandwidth allocated in a way to make it work. Great idea though, to make a free version and entice people to pay $6 without having to deliver. Save your money.
Install, launch, crash. Rinse, repeat. This app is crap. The App Store needs a better way to process refunds. Or at least more stringent QA when it comes to allowing this kind of crapware into the store.
