The dictionary on this app needs some serious expanding. If this is supposed to help you to find words with a certain amount of letters or with specific letters your search results miss several common words. Also I agree with others in that there are too many ads. You already have banner ads why do we need to see so many pop up ads too?
I don’t mind ads so that’s not a concern. But on the Wordle option, I put in my “bad” letters and do a search and a ton of those words have my bad letters in it. Thought it was a fluke, since I used it twice in two different wordle games. Thought maybe it wasn’t clearing or something. But no, after closing out of the app, it still does it a lot. Not just sporadically. Today was my first time using it for several days and it again was giving me words with my bad letters. So it’s not much use for the Wordle Solver part. I haven’t tried it for any others.
Some of the ads are also offensive. Please consider offering a no ads option. Before the ads were added in I would have given it 5 stars. I usually am listening to music on my phone while using this and they very loud, annoying and too frequent ads make it a pita to use.
I was intrigued by the board solver feature, and frankly that’s what separates it from most, but it is extremely inconsistent in not being able to get results. A message “An results getting error occurred. Please select another screenshot to get the best movies for your position” (and no the grammatical errors are not mine 😉). It’s almost as if it’s intentional to get more views of ads so they can get paid for the advertisements, and when it does work it is 50/50 whether or not the words are properly placed.
Best app to help with word games. Need help finding a word? Look no further this app Helps Big time. I highly recommend it. I’ve only used it 2 days so far, and I’m impressed and happy. No more handing the game to my wife. ( I’m not sponsored nor a bot for writing this ) just a normal person. Thanks Wordtips app !!!!
Some bugs, listed below, but otherwise works well.
Three things: 1) sometimes, when an ad pops up, it locks up the app. I have to reset the app to continue. 2) Are there plans to set up board solvers for other apps? 3) When I tried setting up a submission of feedback, the app shut down. Seems like a real problem.
Wayne State ad freezes screen and I have to shut down n order to get rid of it without opening. Unable to just drlete from ad screen. Love the game but hate some of these ads
New UI awful. Very inefficient and frustrating. Too much empty space so more steps needed to see words. Xs too small - have to back space. App very slow. Also very jerky when moving down page. Annoying. Very few definitions and some words aren’t accepted. Advertised “board solver” doesn’t work at all. Expensive app. I won’t be renewing. Better, cheaper options available. Zero response to feedback submitted.
This app needs to be updated on a regular basis. We have been trying to use it for the past week and whenever you click on the app to open it, all you get is a green screen and nothing else. I’ve tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and nothing.I got more use by going to your website.
I used to use this app but the ads have increased substantially since last year. I also remember paying to avoid ads when I first got this app but perhaps that was for a limited time period. Anyway, I found a word search with higher review stars so I’ll stop using this one.
This app is such a pain to work with! Every 30-90 seconds an add comes up which can't be closed until it runs it's course. Sometimes it's never closable so you have to close and reopen the app which then loses all your letters. It's extremely annoying! I'm deleting it and finding something better.
This app would be much better if it had a one time payment instead of a monthly subscription service just to remove ads. Also the fact that it can’t operate offline is a bummer. Why can’t it also just use my phones keyboard….
I was trying to give feedback while using the application and there is an option to CC - I was surprised how it suggested emails from my contacts. After this review I will be looking for another app. Another violation is that the ads accessing my sounds. I understand that they make the money playing ads but it is a violation of privacy to access my sounds without my authorization. Here was my original feedback: should have an option for only words with the definition in the dictionary -
I use this daily to help me decipher Wordle. I was about to toggle back and forth. Whatever you did to this latest version that changed a day ago is awful. Who sabotaged it? You can no longer toggle between apps. I keep getting that is not safe! You’ve gone from a 4 star to a 1 star.
Hello i wanted to say that whenever you take a screenshot and do the board solver it works rarely. Or it will say “An results getting error occurred please select another screen shot to get the best moves possible.” I would not recommend using this app.
The word unscrambler is great! The ads are loud, annoying and irrelevant to a person with the same interests as a word puzzle. If you must have ads at least make them interesting and relevant.
The recent update is horrible. I now have to go through three extra steps just to use it. At least allow me to set defaults for sorting and dictionary I want to use. Especially since I pay for it.
Ever since downloading the new update, the app crashes immediately on startup. I tap on it to open, it briefly shows the open screen and then immediately closes. Force closing it doesn’t help.
I see that you did another update 17 hours ago, but the app still won’t run on my phone. I run iOS 15.7.6 on my iPhone 7+. Please get this app working again! DD in Georgia.
Used this app for a long time. Was very happy. Lately, the ads you show cover up the answers to your searches. Ads that you can’t get rid of. On a search for a more user friendly app!
Latest update is terrible! Every time you switch between apps, it resets to “All …” and blanks out our last search instead of retaining your search for edits
What the heck did you do to this app..it use to be very nice now you have to select how many letters if you ask for 3 you get 4 also…not fun to use anymore
