Great game, but buggy
My wife and I love the game, but each of the last two days have discovered bugs. Today we guessed Fiji, and were told to go 10,381 miles north. We were confused, so we chose North Korea. We were then told to go 5571 miles north west. The answer was France… As you can see, the directions were completely wrong. This happened to us yesterday as well with the US Virgin Islands. We were sent all over the globe with incorrect directions. Also, the US Virgin Islands only showed St. Thomas. The game is predicated on having accurate directions, so we hope you can sort the bugs out, because we really enjoy playing.

Game needs clarification and fixing
This game is a great concept, but it has constant errors. For example, I have on numerous occasions been told my answer was incorrect and in one direction that would not be possible. For example, I guessed Norway on one game, and was told that I was wrong and the correct answer was 4,000 or some number of miles north of Norway, which is impossible. This happens very frequently in the game. Also, the game makers should clarify as to what are possible answers. This may be somewhat nitpicky, but on one occasion Aruba was the answer, and Aruba is not an independent country y but rather a part of Denmark. Also, on several occasions I have been told “no country with that name” for countries that clearly exist, such as Micronesia and the Marshall Islands I believe. So they really need to clarify what their definition of a country consists of, whether it would for example be simply Great Britain or if they would have separately England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland separately. And the last I heard Antarctica is certainly not a country of its own nor is it a territory of any one nation. So that is but one more example of the errors or lack of directions from the programmers of this game.

They need to fix this game.
This is a great game to play to try to test myself to learn the shapes of the world’s countries. It’s also often very very inaccurate with the island nations. If there’s a country with more than one island it will likely show one, and it might not even be the most important one. The country was Palau the other day and the island outline that was shown was one of the smallest islands to the south that very few people live on, and doesn’t even have the capitol on it. Same with Equatorial Guinea, the Bahamas, and many others. This could be fixed if the developers spent 10 minutes per country looking up on google maps the first 2 things about it. It’s really not that hard. For god’s sake don’t spend any money on this game. I almost hope they get bought out by the little GeoGuessr/Seterra monopoly that’s starting to form so this stuff actually makes sense. Also, I find it really entertaining reading all the reviews that complain about the “bad directions” when really the commenter is clearly just an idiot that doesn’t realize how lines on a globe work. Yes, France is some 10,000 miles north of Fiji, and I hate to break it to you but we don’t live on a rectangle like you see in school.

Very fun and educational
A good way to earn some knowledge about the map of the globe with a single daily Earthle. Fun and difficult at first but I am certainly learning the map a bit more and fast! You can tell the location of one country to another and it’s a wild way to learn the proximity of the map. To get really good I recommend just looking at a picture of a map of a continent for like 2 mins a day, just half study, then go for the Daily challenge. You’ll notice that some of the daily challenges are wicked hard but you’ll check the map after cause you’ll want to know the right answer and then you’ll learn something!!

Not fun and not useful for learning
First I’ll say it’s misleading to market a game as being free when you have to pay to play more than a few minutes a day. You also have to pay if you want to actually learn geography. For each country you get 6 guesses, and you have to use the directions and distances the game gives you to find the right country. Problem? The directions are sometimes completely wrong. The devs seem to think the Baltics are somewhere southeast of the Caribbean and not northeast. And as other reviewers have noted, you have to pay coins (read: real money) to actually find out what the correct answer was when you inevitably run out of guesses. I give it 2 stars for a fun concept but for a free educational tool I’m looking somewhere else.

Some quirks need fixing.
As others have mentioned, the directions don’t always make sense. I think it acts as if you have a globe you can go over the top of to get from Fiji to Europe. Also, if I try typing a country name without diacritics, which my phone doesn’t do, I can’t get the answer to come up. Lastly, some of the answers aren’t countries, but there’s no standard as to whether territories are included - Guernsey has come up twice as the solution, but I once tried to guess Jersey and that isn’t an option.

Great Game!
I know this title makes me sound like a bot. (I’m Not) This game is very good for educating your geography knowledge, Its also just a pretty fun game to play when you have nothing else to do. The only down side is that it will always asks you for money to buy a subscription, and if you don’t get your answer in your first 6 attempts you need to spend coins just to see the answer. You also need to spend coins to play again in the same day. But all together its a fun game and educational app. (P.S. It doesn’t have any glitches or bugs.)

Best geography game!
I like the different game modes you can play. It really helps to know what country each looks like. Although I am really good with countries, and easily get pretty much all countries right in 1-3 tries, it is great for beginners. Using territories makes it harder because most are islands, are harder to find. It's also helpful to have the distance of the country to the mystery country, but can easily make the game easier, especially for people that are good with geography like me. I really like this game, with its gameplay similar to Wordle.

I’m Out
1) far too many ads. One always seems to command my screen right before displaying the right answer 2) This was advertised about identifying COUNTRIES based on their shape. Yesterday was the Falkland Islands. That’s not a country. Very frustrating when you are trying to identify a COUNTRY. This has happened several times. 3) Almost always—when it IS a country—the subject is some obscurity beyond obscurity. It would be nice to have something like Thailand 10-15 percent of the time. Nobody likes to lose more often than they win. Make these changes and it would be a great little app. 4) The only reasons I don’t give it 1 star is that I like the concept and I like the ‘miles from and direction to’ feature.

It’s okay
Some of the reviewers clearly have never heard of games like Wordle, where you only get one game a day. This is one of those games! You’re not supposed to sit in your phone for hours playing it. Also there are VERY SHORT ads between guesses sometimes. It’s really not that bad. On another note, my app is broken almost everyday. Sometimes it resets and I get six more guesses (great!), sometimes my guesses are still there but the country has changed, sometimes I get the same country two days in a row. I don’t see a lot of others say this, so maybe it’s just me… Sudan and South Sudan were listed as one country, that was weird.

Not just countries
Overall I enjoy the game enough that I keep playing, but that said, it can be a little head scratching at times with the directions. The more annoying aspect, however, is that it states that you find a new country everyday. Though today’s answer was not a country. It’s a territory. There is a difference. Which is fine, include territories. Just don’t say I am supposed to be looking for a country if that’s not what I should be looking for. It does make it fun to discover new places I’ve never heard of, however. But again, correct basic instructions would be helpful.

Good concept - Not worth it
Crappy UI, game bugs out 24/7, gives you ads every 5 seconds, always asking for premium. You can play one game of their new game-modes until you are again spammed to get their premium version. Today I pulled out the game again to attempt to sell its premium version and bugs out the app in the process. I restart the app and enter in 2 countries before getting hit with another advertisement; at this point I just quit. The game also often has incorrect directions. The game also says COUNTRIES are supposed to be located in the description but continues to use territories within the game. The game itself is a great concept just extremely poorly executed... don't waste your time

Fun game but annoying bugs
I recently downloaded the game and when I first opened it it gave an offer of a one time payment of 20 dollars to get the premium version. So I bought it and everything was fine, but every time I open the app I’m forced to try and restore my purchase until it brings back the premium version. I don’t know why that is but it’s annoying and sometimes it doesn’t even let me restore it no matter how many times I press it. And it will give me the same offer I already bought for 20 dollars until it gets restored.

Too buggy to be playable
I like the idea and I think there’s potential here, but it’s not free. You have to pay to get premium to play more than once per day. I wouldn’t have an issue with this if the free parts of the game actually worked. You are supposed to get a daily earthle but mine has been stuck on the same one for 3 days. To play game modes outside of the daily challenge you have to spend coins. Problem is that I have gotten correct guesses and not received the coin reward I deserve. I don’t have a problem with having a premium version on this game, but you have to make the free-to-play parts function correctly

Orientation
Sometimes get confused how you determine orientation. On one occasion a location was stated as 8,000 down from Antarctica. Antarctica is the southern most land mass on earth. How can anything be below Antarctica? Similarly on another occasion a location was described as thousands of miles due east of Iceland, but actual location was south east of Iceland. Miles is always accurate, but directions are sometimes very wrong.

Nice idea but absurd premium price and free version is obnoxious.
Nice idea but $40 a year subscription for such a limited game is absolutely ridiculous. Ok, so you go for the one a day free version? Sure I’ll sit through an ad. Except the ad comes right in the middle of the puzzle, not before. Last three ads were inescapable where the x button didn’t work - just linked you to the store. This is a big “delete app”. Clean up your act, devs. You’re getting too greedy for a bare bones app that probably didn’t take too long to slap together.

My True Love
I mean, its not top tier function wise, but i still love it more than anything. If I happen upon a group of popular kids that i’m walking by, this is just the app to open up. Why? Because I have no idea what these countries are half the time. Earthle has a half to my heart. It is always there, waiting for me to open the app and fail.

Geography Teacher
I have been a Geography teacher for 31 years. Most geography games give you one chance; you either know it or you don’t. Earthle allows you to not only get another chance, but to expand your geographic knowledge by using your sense of direction and distance. I will be playing this game with my students and my followers on TikTok!

Great game, but a couple complaints
Overall, Earthle is very nice, and I like getting the country everyday, but it does have some flaws. 1. Some countries aren’t even on there and others aren’t even countries. For example, last night is was this place called Svalbard and Jan Mayen. I had no clue what it was, so I had to look it up on a map. Also, one time it was Greenland. That’s a part of Denmark. 2. Ads. I know like every game has these, but I’m still complaining. 3. The recent update was good, but I don’t like how it takes like 5 seconds to reveal the position and distance. I still give Earthle 5 stars because I really like it, but those are just my complaints.

Way too many ads now
I loved this game until recently when it became absolutely flooded with ads. You’re trying to monetize too much and are going to lose people because of the ad frequency. It was laughable after seeing an ad after every guess and then needing to pay a premium to get the answer. You’re being greedy. If I have to sit through 5-6 ads, don’t require a payment to see the answer. Going to uninstall if there continues to be this many ads.

Answer
Ok 1 sometimes the direction arrows are definitely not right. 2 todays answer was definitely the shape of St Thomas an island in the US Virgin Islands. The shape was right and also it’s 814 miles east of Jamaica. But it would not accept st Thomas, saint thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, United States Virgin Islands, or United States. That’s clearly what it was so why would it not accept any of these answers. 3 it would be GREAT if it would tell you the answer. I’m not going to pay money for this app to see the answer.

I love geography, so when I saw this on the app store, I was ecstatic. So, I immediately downloaded it. I was disappointed. The gameplay is fun, I’ll admit. I enjoyed it, and it was just the quiz I wanted. Challenging but entertaining. However, there were also not-so-good things about it. For example: ads. Yes, I know that you can usually make in-app-purchases, but this app isn’t really worth that. It makes you watch ads to play a round, and will randomly put one when you’re done. The next thing that is annoying is Flagle. It doesn’t give you enough hints at the beginning. And, I get the point; it’s supposed to be confusing. If it wasn’t, what would be the point? Still, I think that the microscopic slivers of color you get should be the COLORS OF THE ACTUAL FLAG. One star might be a bit harsh, but I’m keeping it.

Let me play
More focused on pushing ads than it is allowing the user to play. You need at least 125 coins for each round. You get 50 coins for passing a round and can get a 2x multiplier if you watch an ad after the round (max 100). So no matter what, you have to watch an ad to get coins to move on, or pay. WORST PART, when you watch the ads for more coins, or use the multiplier AFTER completing a round, it doesn’t correctly add your coins. This forces you to yet AGAIN, watch more ads simply to play.

Cumbersome
I don’t understand a number of things: - a “game” is one turn then everything has to be reset, but it isn’t because… - the same countries pop up over and over again without testing the others. I think a cat programmed the algorithm - I have to keep a notepad open for different alphabets. Every time the Ivory Coast or other countries with letters that aren’t on English keyboards I have to copy/paste. Changing the keyboard every five minutes isn’t realistic. - There are countries missing: Tuvalu, St. Barts, etc. Having said this I am learning, but only because I want to. People who want to play this for fun will get annoyed quickly and delete the app.

Nope, not at all
Why a one star review? I’ll give you two big reasons why. 1, truly boring. I a geogrofreak enjoy stuff like this but the way it does it is not good. Unlike most of the wordle ripoff games you have to wait a whole day for a new word. We can all agree that the reason why we play ripoffs of wordle is to skip the timer. 2, it’s not all what it says. It says it’s to learn countries via their shape, but it does lots of territories and other country owned land. And besides territories don’t really matter.

Dont waste your time
1. Way too many ads that dont always close when you press the x 2. Premium is required for pretty much everything except one game a day ($5/week or $40/year which is outrageously expensive) 3. The directions are wrong every time I guess a country (it will often tell me to go 8,000 miles or so north… from a country like ireland) 4. Most of the time I have never even heard of the country they choose (I only know what it is because I look it up, it does not give you the right answer if you run out of guesses) I have already deleted the app, but the only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because it USED to be fun. Fix all the issues with this app and I’d redownload it.

I paid but I keep getting ads!
I love this game and I want to continue playing, but I paid for premium and I still keep getting long ads after each country. I have emailed a few times to fix it but get no answer. I have deleted and reinstalled. I click on premium, it says I already have premium, but I still get the ads!! I’m very disappointed! If the app developers will fix my ad problem, I will happily change this to a 5 star review.

It won’t show you the map and location it will only show shape of the Country and that’s all you get to guess the answer I don’t think you’ll learn any thing from this app unless you look at the shape and try to match it on to another map witch mean you need another app or a physical map of the world and also I had to pay $5 to figure this out so I’m just writing this review because I won’t you to learn from my mistake thank you

Play Worldle instead
I was hoping this would let me play a second worldle each day but unfortunately the directions are way off and you have to pay to get the answer. Worldle is the exact same game but with correct directions and you can get the answer without paying after 6 tries, plus no stupid ads. So I’ll just delete this app and keep playing worldle (which I believe came first and this app copied) in my browser.

Terrible
Why is literally everything a subscription these days? Because they want you to keep paying for something you should only have to pay for once. Do you buy a yearly subscription for your toothbrush? Your pants? Tv? You get to answer one question every FOUR HOURS unless you buy their stupid $23 a year subscription. Your game isn’t worth it. For $23 it should be mine forever. Don’t fall for this model. It’s used to replace micro-transactions.

Islands
I was hoping to use the app to learn more about geography, but the app seems to only be interested in the smallest island nations it can find. I’d be fine with them being included from time to time, but it’s been a week and they’ve all been tiny islands that rarely give me a feel for who is who’s neighbor. It’s clear this app is just trying to farm money and drum up support with twitter interaction.

So the game was good at first, But when I got to St Kitts and Nevis, no matter what I put, it would not work. Be careful!
I was using this app for its free daily puzzle, but every time you open it, it has a pop up for subscriptions. If you’re not paying attention, it’s very easy to click one of the large green buttons rather than a tiny x in the corner and end up paying them $30 where there only contact info requesting a refund is an email address no one responds to. Learned from personal experience.

Now what????
I want to like this game. The premise is good. My problem is I never find out the answer. Once I have made all my guesses it just asks me to share but never tells me what the country was. Don’t feel very motivated to keep playing this game if the country remains a mystery. Other similar games on the market will tell you the answer if you don’t guess it yourself. Why won’t this one? If this is changed then I will happily give the game 5 stars.

Terrible app, opportunistic and just plain lame
I never post game reviews on the App Store, but I just had to for this one. I don’t know why the makers of this app think they’re better than the dozens of free Wordle variations out there. I get that they want to make money, so they put in a bunch of ads. Ok. Then they wouldn’t let you play more than once a day without paying $30. Pretty scummy but fine, a lot of Wordle variations are daily with no free play. But charge people money to get the ANSWER??? That’s one of the greediest things I’ve ever seen an app do. If you don’t want to pay $30 for a cheap Wordle game, just play any of the other variations. Globle is great, Worldle is the exact same thing but totally free. 0/5, would not recommend.

Greedy greedy greedy. This app used to be fun. Yes it’s buggy and not particularly accurate, but the design was nice and gameplay was decent. No more, however. Not to be content with choking the app with ads, the developer is now requiring you pay a monthly fee for the privilege of knowing the answer to the daily puzzle. Really?!? I’m afraid they have created a tremendous incentive for deleting this app. Which I will do as soon as I submit this review.

Very fun game, I enjoy the direction hint which is helpful and fun to see where counties are in the world. Once in a while I will not get the country in 6 guesses which is fine but it would be great once you did not get it that the country would be revealed. I do not getting it wrong and then not knowing the country.

Ridiculous microtransactions ruining a good idea
Not worth a download. You can play literally 1-2 rounds a day before running out of coins and being prompted to purchase more. It’s a fun game and the actual game is well-made, but it is bizarre that you’re basically limited to about 5 minutes a day (most of which are watching ads anyway) before you literally cannot play without paying.

This game used to be awesome. One puzzle a day showed me how little I knew about geography! And I lived playing each day and learning something about the world.
