Challenging to get it working
I got the Ziip recently but hadn’t been able to use it because it wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth. I had to delete the app and reinstall it two different times. Then each time my data was gone including password so I had to reset everything. I finally got it to work today. I did my first treatment and it was super easy to follow. Fingers crossed it will keep connecting.

Nice App Update (February 2022)
It was nice to see the app get a recent update to display the name of the current treatment you were running, along with a timer of how far along you were with its completion. In the past you only had a countdown, which sometimes left me wondering where I was within the flow of doing a cadence of the said treatments. There is certainly some room for improvement, i.e. it would be great to “favorite” or heart the treatments you find yourself returning to time after time (Founder’s Favorite, Instant Gratification and Lift and Sculpt!). I’d also love to see the ability to do something like the Founder’s Favorite treatment in an abbreviated, 50% duration, as 10 minutes can be lengthy to tack on to your routine after you’ve done one or two other treatments already. It would also be fun if the app could guide you to take a very specific/structured selfie, so that you could record that and cross reference it in the future to track any changes you may find or develop. The device itself is five stars all the way, so I couldn’t really dock the app because of that fact, but again I hope to see more features or options in the future.

Treatments Don’t Really Sync
Love the device, but each treatment video doesn’t really sync with the device itself. I’ve tried starting when the treatment tutorial begins as well as way after the tutorial starts, but my device always ends up finishing & shutting off before the video tutorial is finished. Also, there’s no way to fast forward through the tutorial video, so my device is just waiting (& perhaps its time has already started running?) while I wait for the founder to finish her initial talking portion of the tutorial before the actual treatment begins; this is even when I press “Skip” to skip over the part where she takes time to apply the gel. Would really appreciate someone from ZIIP looking into trouble-shooting this!

Super frustrating
While I like the ability to choose different treatments based on my needs, the app itself is really frustrating. The pace of the video is different from the actual device so they’re never quite in sync. The device doesn’t pause when it’s not in contact with your face, it just keeps going. You can neither fast forward nor rewind the videos so once you’re out of sync there’s nothing you can do. I would much prefer a guide like Nuface has with diagrams with the positions and repetitions so you can move at the actual pace of the device. Rather than relaxing, the treatments are super frustrating the more out of sync they become. The videos are nice as a reference but should t be the only way to do a treatment.

Needs improvement
Have to re-login frequently, doesnt save credentials or store password info like all of my other apps. If you change password on the website it doesnt sync with the app, get an error message that it doesnt sync and to try later but it won’t ever resolve. Have to initiate change password through the app which will go to the website anyway and then it works. Many of the videos dont sync with the device even when starting at exactly same moment. The timing/buzzing/beeping isnt the same as what is in the video so tough to tell if Im zapping myself in the intended ways. I like the device results but the tech side needs work

Good update
I really like the new videos and the redesign is great - I’m excited to try one of the new plans. (Some videos were taken out, and I do miss them, though!) A lot of thought was clearly put into improving the experience of regular users. Except for one area: video playback. There is no forwarding or going back by any increment, no scrubbing, no skipping, no minimizing the video so you can multitask. This is standard in almost all video players on iOS and I don’t understand why it was left out here.

So far so good!
The time and effort that’s gone into the app is amazing and very much appreciated- I love the workouts! But I’m new to the ZIIP world and I find that the device doesn’t necessarily sync with all the actions going on in the video meaning no ‘ending’ beeps. It doesn’t have to be a perfect science since it’s obvious when to stop and when to change areas. Really happy I chose ZIIP and excited to see the results over time!!

App is horrible
Given that the device is about $600, the app should be way better. It’s so disappointing in so many ways. The videos don’t sync up to the treatments. More importantly, when I start a treatment plan, it doesn’t actually keep track. It shows that my next treatment in the plan is always the first day of it. I have to manually keep track or try to remember which day im on. Please do better, especially since part of the allure of this product are the tutorials and plans.

App has never worked.
The device itself is great, but the app has never worked. I’ve never done a treatment where the device and the app synced up. My device either shuts off before the treatment is finished, or the treatment ends while the device is continuing. It’s tough because the frequency and intensity of the microcurrent is timed to her movements. So if the device is out of sync, you could be applying heavier microcurrents to a place that doesn’t need it. The app is essential. Not sure why they’re not putting much more time and energy into perfecting it.

App Needs Issues Addressed
I love my Ziip device, but the issue with the treatment plans’ calendar has been going on for a while and still has not been fixed… I expect more attention from the manufacturers when people invest in a $500 beauty device.

Can’t reset password in app
The screen to reset password does not show a SUBMIT button (maybe it’s my SE phone) so have to go login to laptop web browser to reset password. Please fix the UI. Seems like password should persist - the device only works with my phone anyway. Other than that everything is good.

Functional, but really inefficient.
When I’m trying to get a program going, or am in a hurry in the morning, I can’t say that I’m a big fan of having to log back in to the application, which seems to be a recurring issue. Similarly, I’m not a fan at ALL of having to endure 10-15 seconds of hearing fluff about the program I’m doing- e.g. “You’re going to love this, it’s easy, it’s fast-“ Is it fast? We’re 30 seconds deep, and I can’t fast forward through to your hype talk about a program I’ve done before. The videos are also super inefficient, with tips for applying the program sometimes only showing up on the second half of the program. Diagrams would be so much more effective than these videos, which take over your audio, and aren’t doing anything a diagram couldn’t.

Love my device and this new update
I love the new update and programs. It’s so cool that this company continues to improve their device for their customers without asking you to upgrade or buy a new device. I love the results I get, and the customer service is impeccable.

App down. No Tech or Customer service
I’ve deleted and reinstalled a million times w both data and Wi-Fi. All I get is a white screen. Contacted support via email whom said nothing is wrong with the app so it’s on me. If you call be ready to transport to 1995 and leave a vm to which you won’t get a call back. NO Tech Support at all. Not even a month in after spending $300 and can’t use my ZIIP that depends on the app. I love the results but no Customer or Tech Support makes no sense.

Device has stopped syncing
I have been using and enjoying the ZIIP for the past few months, but recently it stopped syncing to the app. I have done everything I can think of, charging the device, updating my iPhone software, checking permissions, deleting and reinstalling the app. It a pretty expensive device to not have app maintained on a regular basis. Hopefully an update will happen soon??

Terrible app
I have tried multiple times to reset my password, it asks for my email address and I never receive an email. I have been unable to use the app because of this. The app was logging me out and it never saved my password. I feel like I wasted my Money buying the ziip halo because I have not been able to access all the treatments in the app.

For the $$$ this app should be updated regularly
At $495 for a high end device, the app that you HAVE to use to get it to work should at the very least be regularly updated with new programs and a lot more of them. Without the app, the device is pointless, if you are going to charge $495 and it relies on the app, put some of that money back into the product being sold and keep it up to date with new programs!

Bring back previous videos!
These new video formats are terrible. You can’t go backwards or forwards, only pause. And Melanie doesn’t explain the technique well like she did in the previous version (how many reps, etc) for each video. I’m ignoring her instructions on existing facials/treatments and doing the plans from before. Bring back the old ones!

App is cumbersome.
The app is ok. I like all the treatments offered. But even when I put the ziip to my skin later than the video, my treatment always ends earlier. And it makes me login every few days which is tedious. Please have a “remember me” check box so I don’t have to login every time. The lift is not as effective as the Nuface and it’s the only treatment with no app required.

Login waste of time
Y’all, I love my ZIIP, but I am BEGGING you. Eliminate the need to sign in with email to enter the app. This is SUCH A TEDIOUS WASTE OF TIME and makes me want to throw the whole thing away. Face ID would help, but honestly, I had this app for years without needing a login and it made switching functions very easy. Now I feel a real wave of annoyance every time. What security are we protecting here? Why does this need to be password protected? Streamline this, I am begging you.

App experience is terrible
It’s incredibly annoying to pay $500 for a device and $100 per gel container, and have to further jump through hoops to just use the thing. The app fails to remember sessions and also doesn’t work properly with Apple pw manager. Insane level of login friction — really really unpleasant digital experience for an otherwise good physical product.

Where’d the treatments go?
How is it possible that this update is worse than the last app? Where did the treatments go? Many of the full facial and target treatments are not on this new update. And still the videos go longer than my device. It’s not my device this is happening to other people as well. He better get better!!!

Perpetually bugged
The app works when it wants to. The device is wonderful but the app is poorly developed. More often than not it will give me a blank screen despite being connected to a network. I think they should simply load the device with the facials. Disappointed.

Nothing works?
None of the treatments plans seem to work. There’s no notifications. I was pregnant for the past year and haven’t used the app in over a year. It was better before - at least everything worked!

New update makes the app buggy
I had zero problems with the app until the most recent update. It has little glitches, like crashing, not being able to leave certain screens without fully closing out of the app, and not being able to edit parts of my profile. Also, I don’t like the new treatment descriptions. They’re super vague and if I hadn’t been using them before, I wouldn’t know which treatment to use, as they all sort of sound the same.

Never Seems to Sync with the Video
No matter when you start it finishes and shuts off before the video ends. So you never really know what part of your face you’re supposed to be working on.

My secret weapon!
I have had my Ziip device for about 3 months, and I love it! I am approaching 40, and there are so many products that make promises to lift, tone and improve the overall look/feel of your skin... Ziip is the only one that has delivered! Their new app is even better. The original app was good, but this one is more clear and concise. I love the new Quick Fix treatment... it’s only 2 minutes. It also provides suggestions as to how many times per week you should do each treatment. Now that I have memorized most of the treatments, I can Ziip (verb) while I’m relaxing and watching TV. Worth the invest in your skin!

Not working
I just downloaded the app and there’s some sort of glitch when trying to create an account from your iPhone. I went out of the app and into the website to create the account, which was successful. Then went back to the app to login- says it doesn’t recognize the email on file. Tried again to create an account but it has you type your name in and doesn’t give you any other instructions on what info to provide... so I put in what I can see- first name, a dob (I’m assuming this is the date they want, again no instructions) and gender. I hit create account and it shows as error. Not sure what to do at this point. I deleted the app and downloaded it again and same issue.

Used to be great!
This was my best defense against sagging skin. Used it twice a week until they changed the app. Now it takes 45 minutes of screwing around with deleting the app and reinstalling the app and signing back into the app and now it doesn't work at all. The device does sync to each program but there are no instructions. I have to do it by memory, but then they changed the NAMES of the PROGRAMS so I don't know which one I'm actually trying to use. It's a disaster. But when it did work, the doctor who gives me Botox asked if I'd been "cheating on her" because my neck looked so great!!!!

Worst app ever
Where do I start! The font size for text when you register an account in the app is like 1 pt. Text flows into the fields from the right which is completely non standard. You can’t enter a birthdate because the keyboard doesn’t display when you click in that field. The videos don’t play when you sync a treatment making the product useless. The account you create on the website doesn’t sync with the account you create in the app. The treatment videos in the app are not available separately on the website. You can’t make a support request in the app. So many things they could do so much better.

Can’t Use the New App
Unfortunately after the update, the app kept closing when I opened it. I reinstalled the app and now it won’t play any videos. They simplified the video descriptions but I’d rather have a search tool or quiz based on your cover new. Right now I want to treat breakouts. It’d be nice in the guided videos if they talked about why the device is doing what it’s doing (eg this helps get rid of acne because…)

Changing opinion in a positive way
I had previously written a negative review about the Ziip app not working. It seems to be much better now! I have only started using it so can’t speak about results as of yet, but definitely could feel the currents doing their thing! Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

App is not working
I purchased the ZIIP in January and have loved using it. However, this week they did an update and now I can’t open the app. I deleted it and added it again and it’s not working. ZIIP needs to fix this issue immediately. Otherwise I’m demanding a refund! This is not right.

Horrible
Wish I had read the reviews about this app before spending $500 on the device. You can’t do anything with the device if the app isn’t working. I’ve had mine for less than 2 months and the app has failed 5 times. The device works great, but if the app has a problem you can’t use the device at all so you’re left holding a $500 paper weight. I’d look elsewhere for a micro current beauty device and save yourself a lot of money and headaches.

Not working - no videos loading
I love my Ziip and all was going great until the update. I’ve removed this app from my iPhone- yes not just removing the icon but permanently deleted and removed history but when I load the app from the App Store it’s no different. When I pick and load one of the options to my Ziip, the video no longer loads or runs for me to follow. Please fix this, I know I’m not the only one with this issue. Thanks!

What happened?
Love this product, but the app has gotten less user friendly over time. It shut down on me too and I had to create a new account. After I did the treatment sync the screen stayed black. I closed out, returned and it then worked. Surprised and disappointed. Also would be nice to have an inspiring message/s or relaxing music in background while doing treatment (so I don’t need to bring in another device to play music). Hope this can be addressed.

All you need in one product
ZIIP treats everything from acne to aging and as a 27 year old ya need help with both! It works wonders and cuts my acne battle time in half, while preventing my forehead surprise lines from coming in any hotter. The app talks to your device and changes based on what you need at that given time - G E N I U S.

Stopped working after this last update
I can neither swipe through screens or select programs to use, rendering my ZIIP useless. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but it gets stuck on one program that I can’t name because program names disappeared and instructions are gone from screen and I can close programs without closing and reopening the program. It’s...a mess and someone needs to look into this.

Black screen during treatment
After this most recent update, when I go into a treatment the screen is black and you cannot press play. It’s just frozen, if that makes sense. I hope this is resolved soon!

Crashes upon opening - Can’t use my device
It’s a bit annoying to make the device dependent entirely upon the app, but it was fine when it was working. For over a month, the app doesn’t even open since it crashes right away and I haven’t been able to use my $450+ device. PLEASE fix the app!
