I like this app but I wish I could print the bill from the app. It doesn’t allow you to do that, you have to go into the actual website to be able to print the bills. Otherwise a good app.
I recently moved back to Columbus and was glad to know AEP was my provider. The app had been strong/useful in the past making my on the go life easier when it was time to pay my bill. However since downloading the app in September I have had nothing but issues with logging in/reminders resulting in a missed payment(because the reminder feature didn’t save via website, though all information was showing saved as recently as 3-5 days ago). Whenever I try to log onto the app is doesn’t recognize me...which also happens to be true with the website currently. I have tried re-downloading the app several times as well as typing credentials in one keystroke at a time to insure accuracy...the app is a bust but the website will sometimes log me in.
If you’re supposed to be able to make payments using this app, I don’t see Wear or Howell. You can view your bill, see how much you owe, but you cannot make a payment, it shows you all the payment options, it even makes you think that you can add payment information to make a payment, but you can do none of these things on this app, that is why I gave it to stars. Please fix If you guys can fix these things, the app will get a higher rating for a lot of people. Columbia Gas, you can view your bill there and pay your payment on the application. You cannot do these things for American electric power. The electric company needs to do better. Put some effort into this application.
It is nice to be able to see all of the information I need, when I need it! I really like the Billing History where I can drill down and see actually Bills and print them out if needed. Likewise, the Energy Usage tab is a helpful reminder when comparing previous Energy used by month, over the last year - for example in July it was really hot, we ran our A/C a bunch, and it displays a higher usage during that month. It would be nice to see historical data on weather to compare my Energy Usage with hot or cold seasons throughout the year! Maybe you could add that?
I get so tired of seeing the “OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG ON OUR END” pop up - when I’m just trying to pay my utility bill. This is a necessity not a trivial thing that can either work or not... I have AEP because this is the utility company I have to use, because of the location of my home. I have emailed them and they replied with “it must have something to do with my connection, and pretty much blamed me- When this many people have an issue with this app for this long, its not the app user’s fault. Also the first reviews that they show on this page as “ most helpful “ are from 2 years ago. Please look at the more current reviews and fix the problem with the app.
The app is finally working after an update or two. Nice to see the devs reach out in regards to the issue. Seems to be resolved now and I have no issue opening and logging in. I do however wish there was a section that showed outages...in addition to the report an outage feature.
1. Quick and easy to view and pay your bill. 2. Remembers you so you don’t have to log in every time. 3. Check and report outages with a click. 4. Compare usage from month to month. 5. Set alerts to remind you to pay.
If you’re having a hard time they will make it worse.
I’ve been working on catching up my electric bill. I’ve continuously paid my bill before disconnection, trying to get ahead. They charged me $102 dollars rather than working with me to let me catch up on what I owe. Thanks AEP as if I wasn’t going through hard enough times…
Bring back the ITS MY POWER app!! That one was so much better with real time energy usage and customer friendly features and on top of that it actually worked ALL the time. This one is trash and barely functions... I cant even provide feedback on it because the feedback function doesn’t even work!
I have to go days sometimes a week without being able to access my bills because the app constantly has error messages when I try to login. All I wanna do is pay my bills without having to worry about the app forcing me to wait weeks after my due dates.
I've been able to connect successfully once over several months. Never over protected WiFi or VPN. Will only connect over cellular data and then only occasionally. Maybe relax the timeout or deploy more servers. Basically useless. You need to use the web portal if you want to pay your bill online. Needs work.
Was having issues with the app not connecting and it wouldn’t let me see my bill & i go to check if i can see it today and the app had been removed ??? it was NOT removed by myself so not sure what happened .
Every time I go to open the app to access my account, it says oops something is wrong at our end. It’s been doing this to me now for almost 2 months. What is going on with the app? It’s so much easier to pay through the app rather than get on the Internet to pay it. Please get this taken care of. Bye Felicia.
They system is done all of a sudden when I try to pay my bill, and the customer service is terrible, never lets me done more than 3 transactions in a month
The past few days the app says it can’t load account information. This is before you even attempt to login. Seems like this app is very flaky as I see a review from months ago saying it wasn’t working.
When i try to sign in, it keeps saying “We can’t load your account information right now”. I’ve reinstalled the app couple of time and it keeps doing the same
This app may be fine for reporting an outage, but after half an hour, no info on why it happened or when power will return — tbd on all. Not worth app space.
I have been unable to register my AEP account on the mobile app for the past two days. I keep receiving an error message “oops something went wrong on our end.” Can the dev team look into this and fix it?
Have reset Face ID every time I use the app and it still doesn’t work. Every time you login it kicks you out and doesn’t save your information. It’s terrible.
I use this app primarily as a means of reporting power outages and checking status. Since it won’t even sign me in “ oops, there’s a problem on our end” message it is useless
There are always outages. I’m over it, constantly having to throw food out because it gets bad. You guys are trash when I lived in and area that south central power provided service to there was never a problem.

App hasn’t worked since IOS14.1 dropped. Try to login and it says OOPS something went wrong. Never lets me login anymore. I have to use the app. Please fix this
