Don’t know what all these negatives reviews are about it’s a free phone! I applied took about 3 weeks to actually get the phone they sent me a I phone 6 plus, better then any other government phones they give out it charged right up and had service. Works great, what else could u ask for for free, then again if you don’t like it you could always buy your own phone lol
I try to be an honest person when I leave a review. I had no high hopes about the customer service and so on. I would have thought they would replace the battery before sending out this I phone 8. Right away it said battery needs service. Then it went to. Needs to be replaced on the next screen. Lol. So that was the first real difficulty. Then it took forever to combine my ACP and Life line. Once they did it seemed all might be improving except the battery of course. Each month when I get my top off data it automatically goes to High Speed service for about a week. Then once you get around 4 or 5 gigs used out of the 15 High Speed data Allowance. They throttle you down to 2g or 3g speed. It’s horrendous waiting on google to load one page. This is the truth of my own experience. Every month the same exact scenario. High Speed for a few gigs, and then throttled down to snail pace. The phone system is running just fine. I do not load my phone with pics, movies, videos etc.. Every Single Month. Throttle, Throttle, Throttle. And good luck understanding anyone. Good luck to any future takers. Again this is my own experience. I do not know anyone else using Air Talk or Air Voice!
I have been waiting for my phone for a while! I received my “new” iPhone 8 and of course the battery capacity is 82% the speaker on the phone DOESN'T WORK! They also sent me a SIM card to use until the iphone8 came in, they shut it off 2 days after I received it and and I was without service for a week and a half! Customer service will lie and tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to either hang up or they will hang up on you!!! People like myself who DEPEND on these benefits and services are suffering with extremely SLOW data after being promised super fast data! Then to boot they lied that the iPhone 8 was now 5G !! I am disgusted that other humane beings can do the less fortunate and struggling beings the way you all are doing us this way from air talk air voice to qlink or assurance! The least you can do is send me a 5G phone I am giving this post until Wednesday to get a response and a resolution before I change to someone else that CARES ABOUT THE CUSTOMER! Do not allow them your personal info I’ve received 4 emails that my benefits had been transferred out and I know it wasn’t me!!! Fix this. Do better unto others SMH
I went through all the steps required to receive a free phone and got approved. After waiting 2.5 weeks I then got a SIM card in the mail instead with a letter saying “sorry we ran out of phones” but here’s a SIM card for you. No other options were provided. How do you have 20 pages of phones to choose from to not have ANY in stock? When I attempted to contact customer service I got hung up on twice after waiting over half hour to speak to someone both times. Both times before I was even able to explain why I was calling. And of course no call back either. When i uploaded the app to try to get assistance I couldn’t get past the ‘you’re approved’ sections without any indication they were aware they may have approved me but phone never came. Customer service info not clear to find on the app and it crashed on me over half the times I attempted to use it. Would not recommend. This place scammed me and I’m sure millions of other hopeful customers. Deleting app because it had zero use to me.
Well my girl got the airtalk iphone 7 free and paid for the tablet i too got the iphone 7 weirdly her cellular network says home and some numbers mine says airvoice or talk or whatever but first month the data was highspeed but after that its unbearably slow. Now i get that its free which makes it hard to complain but my phone dies at 29 percent most time and hers at 40! Both batteries need to be serviced like is that on purpose so we pay 25 for another? Or how I manually reset my cycle each month its supposed to reset at and right now airtalk claims im over my 15 when im barely at 9 gb used makes sense why its so slow theyre keeping it slow saying i used more I cant stand how this has been going. No sense it hitting them up for support just gonna drag it out asking for proof and what not im sure all to tell me they cant help or act like they cant figure out the problem. Get it together we dont pay you for the service but you are getting paid for it like we dont know how your funded come on airtalk keep your word.
The cell service was great this was as actually the first time that I moved from one month to the next without data slowing to a crawl. That includes the hot spot. Now last month my phone was lost/stolen so I called in for a $25 charge to have my phone replaced. I loved my Samsung Galaxy 9plus and asked if I could receive the same. The lady said that there were plenty in stock so yes I should be getting the Galaxy. Yea Now you can imagine my surprise when I received a very very inferior cell replacement within a week it wa shutting down during calla anf freezing the rest of time i valled customer service more than once and disconnected after waiting more than 30 minutes. So my servicw hs been transferred to what i consider to be an inferipr company because company because of a cs reps broken promise. By the way the galaxy S9+ went on sale aa an upgrade for 99 tjhia month its no wonder there were so many in stock
So, now that ACP is coming to an end, I get a letter stating I’m not qualified for lifeline!!! Excuse me? I had lifeline before ACP and I definitely qualify but, trying to sign up for it while your already a customer is insanely irritating. I’d like to stay other this company but, they’re gonna start charging me 10 bucks for service when the same qualifications go for both programs. I could swing it but, why should I when I qualify and they said I don’t. Ridiculous, I probably won’t hav a choice. It’s a shame. After reading all the reviews about how everyone’s phones don’t hold a charge I had to chime in as well. I got an old iPhone but I didn’t care it performs ok on the net BUT, the battery dies in 30-40 minutes. Can’t take it out without a battery pack with me and I’ve had better phones just not name brand from other service providers. At least I could walk to the store without a clunky battery pack with me. I don’t under why everyone is having the same issue. Doesn’t float right to me.
I have signed up for this service and another free service place at the same time and gotten approval for both. Well the other service I got it right away in the mail, and it took nearly 2 and a half weeks to receive from AirTalk. They sent me an iPhone 6s for the phone, and it’s junk! It doesn’t hold charge and I’m not an iPhone person. So I canceled it and stuck to the other service that I got. Well AirTalk messed up that service on me twice!! So my service with them got shut off because they transferred me over to AirTalk without my permission! I sent them two emails and I never heard back from them, and I called them and they didn’t help me at all with my issue! And not only that but I’m unable to get into my voicemails either because it says I need to enter the pin!? I never even set a pin to begin with!! Do better Airtalk!! Your best off just paying for a cheap service elsewhere and choosing a phone that u want that’s gonna be new.
My iPhone8 started out to have the usb plug to the box stopped working and they sent a new box 2 weeks after that then. I had acp and lifeline combo and i have very slow data not 5 gs either not with iPhones 8 guarantee then I looked up my plan and I’m sopose to get $30 worth of government phone or life line and it’s not I looked up the plan and it’s only $10. So I’m confused to why I get 15 gb for $10 thru the federal government lifeline and its sopose to be $30 minimum for lifeline and I got screwed. If they don’t fix it I will take this phone and trade it in for different service provider and get my federal government assistance phone program by switching. Please give it back to me as $10 isn’t part of government federal assistance I want what everyone else is getting .
I had my current assurance phone stolen and decided to try someone else. I was excited to see you can pick from a variety of free phones instead of getting some crappy free q link phone. So I asked for the I phone8. It came rather quickly. But the battery. Not only the battery. The port for the charger cord. It’s so frustrating. My battery died all day everyday. And when I go to charge it. The cord won’t stay in place. I’ve tried numerous cords and it’s the same thing. So if I walk away or go to bed at have no idea if it’s actually charging. I plug it in it starts charging them it stops. Unless I’m there to wiggle the cord back into an odd position. My phone won’t charge. And it NEEDS to charge. Because it constantly dies. I was in here reading reviews and it’s crazy on how many customers say they have battery problems. It’s just to many people. Something’s up. Can’t be a coincidence
I have no problem s with the cell. I do get an e-mail telling me that I have not used my device in 15 days and if I don’t use I will lose. So I called customer service and they say all is right as rain on their side and I will not have my service shut off. I so hope that is the case cause I just got a new job and I have to use the cell though out the day to make calls. O and just an fyi I was using the cell to call the customer service people that sent me the emails that it’s been 15 day’s since last I had used the cell. So I got an iPhone 8. It was used, but in decent condition. The battery still needs to be changed, but it can wait. The phone service is okay after the 1st of the month. Thats when your data renews. Unfortionately, it only last for about a week. Im still trying to figure out how much data I really am using. Its alwasys on LTE and only on a 3g network. Sadly, for 2 weeks last month, i could hardly conect to the internet and the phone service was so bad, I could not even send any text messages to my kids, and we all have iPhones. unfortunately, looking for work on job search, ceased to happen. Toping off your data at $5 for 500mb is out of the question. So I tried to get service at Visible, using their esim, but my phone meeds to be inlocked. The rep said it is, but its not
You guys gaslighting people. Everyone experience is going to be different but I received the free iPhone 7 and the free service and was like cool I have free service but turn around and the phone dies within 2 hours. I took the SIM card out and put it into my 12 plus pro and the app told me that it’s compatible and I find out I can’t make calls or text messages. Only way my service works is if I place my SIM card back into the phone they sent me to begin with. I talked to customer service a few times the waiting period is crazy long so you have to keep on calling until you get a person. And how you going to call customer service and you have no service 😑 Thank god I have a landline phone. I don’t recommend this service to anybody who wants a free service. Go ahead and bite the bullet and pay for a good monthly service.
Wishing I would have just stayed with my old service but I had an opportunity to get a better phone & thought I would it AirTalk a try. I bought an IPhone 12 outright & had decent service for a year until I moved. Then I started having lots of issues with service. I wasn’t successful porting my old number over after they told me I wouldn’t have any issues so I ported this one to a new carrier that would work in my new area. Unfortunately I am unable to use the phone I purchased through AirTalk because they put a lock on their phones & you can’t get through any of their phone #’s once you cancel service. So be careful. I even referred a friend & bought them a Samsung phone that he received broken, tried to transfer my phone to his account & customer service refused to help us do that.
I have never had a phone service that I love more than air voice wireless it is the best phone service I’ve ever had in my 58 years of life you could never ask for a better phone company yes I did have a problem my phone broke and I needed a phone they would not get back to me on that but when it comes to making a call and not losing your call they are the best phone company ever now replacing the phone I know nothing about because they never replaced my phone but I absolutely love this company when it comes to their service
I wanted to order a tablet for my two year old received confirmation of my payment going through but never received any notification with the tracking number. Ive tried calling in to get more information on my package and they had me on hold over 30 mins just to hang up on me. The tablet was only going to cost me $10, so not much of a loss but i was excited about getting a tablet for my son so he could watch his cartoons while the adults have tv time :( Updating because i received a response on my previous post: so i actually did receive my sons tablet! lol, an it came earlier than i expected an he LOVESS IT!! i just wish they had a better tracking system, but other than that i LOVE this program <3 Helps keep my kids up to date & happy <3 Thank you!!
I’m getting infinite loading when launching the app, tested two different phones and IOS versions, can’t even use the app! Also customer service is disgusting, call system is automated and every attempt I made I could never reach an actual human, their online chat takes hours like 5+ I have tried chat many times and only reached them once after waiting about 7 hours, they claimed to have fixed my issue where i was signed up for both Lifeline and ACP when I only wanted Lifeline, because I had ACP through Spectrum and the issue is still present. I’ve sent them multiple emails and I’m still waiting to hear back. I signed up almost a month ago and they still have not shipped my phone that I paid for!
I bought the iPhone 7 and I still have a battery that won’t last me for an hour even after fully charged to 100% n I’m not using it. They said I need to send phone back then once they get it then they will send me another phone. So 7-10 business days for them to get the old phone. The another 7-10 business days until I’ll get another phone. After looking at the reviews I’m thinking it’s just the iPhone 7 with battery issues. Ugh so I may just send back and get another phone all together. But I’ve already had to go without a phone for several weeks n I can’t right now bc I have no way for my daughters school to contact me in case of emergency.
Ok, I’m eating my words here. I contacted customer service and the rep helped me download their service again for my phone which it was my fault for removing in the first place. Verizon tried to highjack my phone . Thank you AirTalk. I’ve not had a problem since you fixed it. Please disregard my earlier review. It was my mistake, completely. I’ve had AirTalk since January of 2023 and I’ve not had any problems that I didn’t cause myself. I urge anyone with an iPhone to take the classes Apple offers for free. It will save you time and mistakes.
Hey guys! I’m loving the service and features. Only slight problem is I been trying to contact someone regarding my cellphone device I’ve received. Since I’ve gotten it, it doesn’t hold charge at all. At first, I was thinking maybe It was the charger you guys sent. So I went out and purchased a brand new apple charger. That wasn’t it. Apple checked the device for me and told me it’s the device itself and to contact my provider as the device’s battery is defected has been like that since before I got it
Worst company I have EVER EXPERIENCED. The government needs to shut this company down and FAST. They stole my money, hung up on me after being on hold for 45 minutes, then finally being told my order was never put in for the replacement I paid for, then they tried to tell me that I just didn’t make the payment and need to show proof, oh I did that two, multiple calls emails and sent pictures of it then would just never hear back from them. HERES THE CATCH, once u “port in” you’re number from another company, be prepared to kiss it goodbye and have to start all over with a new phone and no good “deals when you switch” cause of stupid Airtalk wireless. It’s been months, I’m at my wits end and STILL HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A WAY OUT IF THIS COMPANY THAT I CAN AFFORD.
Update - still unresolved. I’m being harassed for proof the device is defective and I have already sent them many videos. I received a phone and tablet but have had issue after issue - none of which have been resolved! If I want to make calls the sim has to go in phone. I can’t use phone as hotspot for tablet. If I put sim in tablet then the phone has no service. The tablet I received has hardware or software issues. I don’t get an answer until the end of the day and it’s getting redundant. A screenshot of the fingerprint setup not working, then a screenplay, then they want a video from another device? We have already confirmed there is an issue… please help me fix or replace it! 😭
The reason I signed up with them is simply for the free iPhone 6, I’m in my first month and everything so far is wonderful. But I do realize that it is not unlimited as with Assurance and Q link,But if you keep that in mind it’s worth it just for the free phone anyway but reading all these reviews on here 90% of them were one star they said the customer service is bad but I don’t know that because I haven’t called so get a free phone that’s worth it
I’ve been dealing with these type of carriers for many years. The phones, the plans, service and Mindinao phone banks and tech reps/sales reps. Most important about AirTalk is the generous array of subsidized free phones. Try that with Assurance and how far you get? The support responds more quickly than the others. Reception is always just fine. AirTalk gives more data for the basic plan than the others but I dunno, I don’t use my phone as a television set.
I'm having issues my iPhone 7 plus that I just got from you guys won't send text messages or receive them because I used the 15 gigs of data then there looks like they do have options to top up on data however the pricing seems a little off if I wanted to get another 15 gigs of data I would spend over $100 I'm wondering if you guys have an unlimited plan just right I have the lifeline ACP I'm willing to switch over to an unlimited plan but I don't see any option for it inside the app can someone help with this please
I signed up with them for my free government phone service. Seriously, they sent me an old iPhone 6, which cannot be updated and cannot run even the simplest of apps. Apple doesn’t support them anymore and even Siri doesn’t work. The only thing I can do is make phone calls and text, and then I can’t even send photos most of the time! This is the worst thing ever. When I tried to notify them and tell them about it, they said my phone was out of warranty and I could pay for a new one... if I could afford a new phone, I wouldn’t need the free one!

Wow that’s wild my picture messaging is not working And I have data so I don’t know what’s going on I use my Wi-Fi at home so There should be absolutely no problem my even bigger problem is either apparently everybody took the day off at this communications service or this is really that jankie of phone service that you guys seriously don’t have somebody to answer your customer service calls That you set up a voicemail for it and push it one step further yeah ain’t even bother to freaking clear it out that is outrageous.
I should have 15G of data*high speed*, STILL! I haven’t ran out of data for 2 months, this month; my data ceased by the 12th of the month! What changed? On my end, absolutely nothing!!! My data usage for this cycle before I manually reset it was only at 9.2G used… so why am I experiencing no network; what-so-ever????!! Well, funny the elephant in the room was acknowledged! Here’s what I was told upon contacting customer service; I relay the issue to customer service, how my high speed data has ran out before it’s use, he looks at the account, sees the data isn’t working, doesn’t understand why! Cause even IF, I had been out of data*high speed*; I should still have access at a lower rate of speed!!! So, they expedite my case onward, it’ll be 24 to 48 hours to hear from the department that can’t fix it! This is complete and udder, bull cockeye!! A heaping pile of steamy cow poo! I am seeking a different wireless carrier that participates in the Lifeline program! Cause, I don’t have time for this
I received my new phone, having switched from my primary service provider that worked great, to be disappointed. The service was awful. I had calling and texting capabilities, but not one bit of hope on data connectivity. Not where I live, nor anywhere else!!! I had provided all the necessary info to have my primary phone number ported to Airtalk, but my new phone did not receive that number at all. In fact, I was provided with a new phone number that was completely different than, even the local number to my area that is displayed on my account!! Weird. I would not recommend this company at all.
It hasn’t even been 30 days and can’t use the phone. I have plenty of minutes left. Hardly used any data and all i get is my screen stating emergency calls only. Tried contacting you through the number provided and all i get is hours of lost time on hold just to be disconnected and the end wait time. No matter what time of the day, same thing. No live customer service agents and no info provided to call elsewhere. So, I’m assuming this free trial period is over. Next time, you should inform the customer your service doesn’t work after a week or two. Thanks for the free phone. My toddler uses it on wifi.
Data speeds test around 15mbps download and 8mbps upload, which is already pretty slow compared with other services. Towards the end of the month the data will test around 1mbps download and .5mbps upload. This has been happening for about a year now since I’ve had AirTalk service so it isn’t just a single instance. It’s basically unusable for the second half of the service month. Not sure why this is happening but it’s consistent.
Hundreds of customers try to text AirTalk Wireless for assistance. It takes over 8 hours of waiting; then they get dropped when AirTalk Wireless closes for the day. Called support to chat for three days all day long and never was answered! Worthless !! I have been trying to Port Out My Phone Number. Their app will not let me send a message, even after resetting my password multiple times. The chat leaves me waiting all day on my phone and never connects with a representative. !!! Stupid AirTalk Wireless is worthless !!! I Cannot sign in or talk to your representative. I have wasted days online trying to talk.
I received my iPhone 8 from AirTalk. The back exploded off. Sara requested her or I pay for replacement still have not received that three weeks later that I have been trying to call customer service to get a tracking number and I can’t get through. I have also been trying to get information on if I can get a second line and I’ll pay for it and nobody can seem to answer the tango phone or respond to emails. The service is great but the customer service and the wait times and not being able to get through for the last three weeks it’s ridiculous.
Air voice has stepped it up in service and devices. I’m just greatful to have gotten one. After Assurance Wireless and Safelink phones and service way not again. If the govt gone dish out phones why not dish out the best. We are the best people in the world give us some First Class Phones w/ service to match. Don’t give us no junk cause we don’t take none. To be entirely honest… for it being a free service and all.. it ain’t bad. It got the job done as long as you were continuously using the data with no WiFi break every now and then.. it ain’t bad for what it is. Everyone is on these reviews complaining about it and all but it’s not going to be a high-maintenance service.. it’s free and gives you legit free phone. It is what it says it is and it does what it needs to.. to get you by 🤷🏼♀️ for that it’s honestly great. It could Be worse
Yes completely agree went with this g link phone cuz of all the cool free phones didn’t know if I wanted to get the google pixel or the newer galaxy but I settled on the iPhone because i wanted that instead so I can rock my galaxy and my iPhone and ad only pay for the one and with boost it’s 40 free everything and then with airvoice or airtalk whatever you want to call it it’s free ha! Hustle smarter not harder
I really like the service and the phones that are offered, the only thing is that I don’t like is that you can never get through to the customer service which is pretty much understandable , after all your getting free service what could you possibly need to talk with customer service. But I seem to forget that some people probably want some money back!!!!!!!
Only one negative thing to say about this service. I received an iPhone 6s and as soon as I fully charged the battery and set up the phone . I got to use it for about 1 hour before my battery died. Status of my battery says “service soon”. And since it’s a used phone the service warranty is expired . AIRTALK IS AWESOME ON ALL OTHER ASPECTS. But now I have a phone that charges fast but does faster
Love AirTalk was excited to get my phone it finally came and I’m so excited no complaints at all so whoever is behind this greatness thank you happy I have access to a phone I picked the phone I wanted and I love it I have the iPhone SE. everything works great. I’m already recommending to my friends.
I love the service & I got my iPhone pretty quickly from the time I applied it took about a week to get it! that’s all wonderful but, as soon as I try to login to my AirTalk wireless account on my iPhone, it will say login successful then immediately kicks me out & says session expired, I have tried everything from restarting my phone to deleting the app n retrying. I don’t know what else to do lol.
I switched to AirTalk because I was told I would receive a new device and get to keep my phone number. It’s been a month and still no phone, and I was given a new phone number that none of my people or doctors have. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a human on the phone for any kind of assistance. You will not talk to a human in the “help chat” either, it’s all automated. It’s extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t strongly suggest that you look elsewhere if you need a provider because AirTalk Wireless is not what’s up!!!!!
After the first month, NOTHING. Tried to contact Airtalk, that’s a joke! Left phone messages - NEVER returned call. Sent emails 3 or 4 & NEVER got a reply. Tried using the chat bot and yep you guessed it - NO RESPONSE! I’ve waited 2 months and NOTHING except a text informing me my service was transferred out?! Why? Where? Who? I’m gonna go find a company that actually provides service. I gave these clowns 2 stars cuz when it worked it was good.
I tried to contact customer service multiple times but no one has responded to my email and I can’t get a human on the phone. I just want them to send me the galaxy tab a 2018 because when I paid for the tablet, it didn’t give me a option to choose the tablet. But I haven’t heard back from customer service. It’s been almost a week… it didn’t even send a confirmation email that I paid the tablet I just have a pending charge with my card.
I have only had service since May, I’m a new customer. My talk time was cut short, I was unaware I was over my talk time, there was no warning. Then I could only text. Then my service was turned off without any notification or warning. Only giving stars because I have to. The service isn’t very good, I’m thankful for it while I need it but it’s far from the best.
This company is fantastic! I only use the app when I need to look something up that is related to my data use. But either way I’ve had a great experience with ever ever since I got my phone and activated it, and installed the APN. Thanks AirTalk you guys are great!
This is the worst cell service I have ever had when I first got the service I ported my number in now that I want to port out they won’t release my number I have called them text them and sent messages and they won’t get bad with me I don’t recommend this service they are horrible I’ve had the same number for 11 years now I have to let my number go and it takes hours for anyone to answer I will never use this service again
I go through AirTalk Wireless with my lifetime program government program and I have an iPhone 6 that was free for my airfare talk and I downloaded the AirTalk Wireless app from the Apple App Store and it will not open when I click on it it’ll it’ll act like it’s gonna open and it’ll just go back out it won’t open up download it in and read it and re-download it and reinstall it and install it I need some help please somebody give me some answers really frustrated in Arkansas Dandified Randy
I had your carrier earlier 2023 and it was decent but, now i have a new phone, new sim card, and new carrier. Ive had this new phone since October 2023 and before i left the store i showed them i still had the app and they said it shoukd go away soon but it never did. I am not able to delete or remove the app from my home screen please help.
I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus. They sent me a 7 , cool but the battery dies so fast and long story short Apple said it needed replaced so I message support about 2 months later they email me back asking about it and saying for me to answer right away which I did and still no response. The battery dies so fast I can’t even use the phone. Also you don’t get unlimited data, I got 8 gigs the first month and haven’t gotten any more since idk why
Tried to get tablet. Was eligible for it but when ordered it went through. After waiting for amount time for shipment. Call about to be told that I Had already used benefits which I hadn’t. Called t correct error only to beg retry by workers that I could no understand and be hung up on. Terrible company. Will not recommend this to everyone
