Being able to see when my bills do, how much I owe, how much we are using, at my fingertips. Makes keeping up with my bill. As well as getting it to fit in with my other bills. Makes it a must have for me. It’s easy to use easy to understand thank you for real as a single parent I need the other things in my life to be easier and you’ve done that with my energy bill and the ability to review of my energy. Got something for baby mamas?
If I go to pay my bill, it’s because I have the money to pay said bill. If you wait 3-5 days to take said money (that system is archaic) and I no longer have that money, that is not my problem. It should not take more than 24 hrs in this day and age for a company to process someone’s payment. Due to the situation above, I missed payments and was put into a disconnect warning, and had to set up a payment plan. The system still allowed me to set up budget billing. So tell me how my budget billing is one amount and my actual bill is another? And , when I try to pay my bill by splitting it in half (paying half now, and the second half on the due date) OR even try paying the bill BEFORE the due date (to avoid the above happening again) I get an error message. Do y’all want our payments, or not? Cause not all of us can afford to pay it all up front!
The app is generally user friendly. However, I use it to break down our family’s use of our cottage so each part of the family pays what they use. This is sometimes difficult to discern. For example, the total KWh use each billing period doesn’t equal the total daily KWh use during the same period. Sometimes it’s more and sometimes less than the total KWh use noted on the monthly bill. Puzzeling! Seondly, when I try to get a report of daily KWh use for the dates noted on the monthly bill, the report always leaves off the last date of the billing period. Frustrating! I have to create another report leaving off a couple of the initial billing period dates in order to get the one that the initial report omitted.
Had a hard time getting autopay to work correctly. Started with a checking account with routing number which for some reason wouldn’t process correctly. So ended up getting two returned check fees because your web site tells me payment has been processed. But it comes back saying account failed etc. I’ve put in debit card number for payments to be processed but it appears you may still be trying to process with old checking account number instead of using the debit card I’ve put in for autopay. Unfortunately the people I got to talk with can’t process the payment over phone but tells m to go to a website to pay. Your website says no fees for paying with debit card but the site says $2.99 processing fee. Feel trapped and sorry I ever attempted to do autopay. Paper is a hassle but at least I can control part of it
I said it a year ago $ will say it again; I looked at ‘reviews’ before I downloaded this app. Foolishly I ignored the reviews that many people put about ‘not being able to sign in once their account was established, no account being found, not correct password or having to reset password, then no account still found’! What an absolute waste of time! As big of a company as Alliant is in Iowa & in Wisconsin, you would think they could dedicate a couple people smart enough to making their website work? And for you FEW lucky people it does work for & you give it 5 stars, good for you! Don’t bad mouth the majority of us it doesn’t work for!!! IF I could give this app a less than 1 star, I would!! Do not waste your time, energy or space on your phone! Michele C.
It works fine for what I need. Most account options are here which is nice. There are some convenience features that I find lacking if you’re inputting information for the first time (such as bank account number copy+paste doesn’t work and the calendar interface for guest access is kind of dodgy). This definitely feels like a wrapper for a web interface which doesn’t make for the smoothest UX, but it’s cheap and works fine for things like this. I say the devs mainly need to work on consistency in data input interfaces.
Pretty helpful when I called the first time cause I forgot what my account number was to sign up for enrollment. The 2nd time I called was when I didn’t get a email link for signing up there was a letter missing at the end of my last name. They easily worked everything out so I could set up my bill on autopay thanks alliant energy staff it’s easier than the automated voice and that’s saying a lot.
I liked the ability I had to just punch in my user/password and plunk a couple very obvious buttons to pay my bill. This one takes a few more steps and I fumbled around the first time. Several times its been glitchy. And the email text spam is obnoxious. I scheduled out the payment for the end of December, watched it go through, then two days later- on Christmas morning no less- got texts and emails telling me it was past due. I check the app. Nope- says paid. I check my bank account- there’s the payment right there- not even pending. So, little silly things that waste my time and drive me up the wall. May start mailing checks again. Help keep the USPS afloat.
Both of my daughters have TIP Energy and homes with around 3000 ft.² I live in an apartment around 550 ft.² and yet they have never had as high an electric bill as I have I have no children here with me I’m single I wash one load of clothes a week I have a dishwasher that I run 2 to 3 times a week a TV and a fan and that is about it why is my energy bill so high and I’m very efficient with my heating and cooling
So at some point the app takes me to the full site and then I end up getting asked the same questions and to fill out the same info I have already done on the app. Seems that with as much money as I pay them they could have it figured out a little better. Another example is right now I can not see any of the words I am typing. The screen is completely white and my cursor moves but doesn’t show anything at all under this comment section. So it could be worse but could be a #%*t load better also
Why would renewables be on my bill? These windmills and solar panels were supposed to lower costs. Now we’re paying for the subsidies to put them in and paying a fee to keep them going? We didn’t decide this business move, you did. Knowing full well it will only hurt the American people.
While I liked using the app, for the last 3 weeks it has had a 1 notification on the icon for the app. I have searched everywhere in the app but couldn’t find any kind notifications or messages so I deleted the app and it’s data. Upon reloading the app before even opening it a 1 again appeared on the icon so I deleted it again. Maybe in 6 months I will try again hoping whatever was triggering that will be resolved.
I like using an app, the icon reminds me of when to pay my bill and be paperless. But its a nice app to use, although its too complicated with too many things going on inside, I wish the app would stay simple and uncluttered like a “KISS” Keep It Simple Simon. More is not better, more is too much. More means complicated complexity
I’m so glad I signed up for on line bill pay ! They text me a notice…I click on my app..click pay bill and I’m done! Takes 10 seconds. No more writing checks, mailing in, etc… My kids were right I should have done this years ago ! 😂😂😂. Great job with your amazing app!
Your app show a bage, that their might be a unread message, notification. I went thru the entire app. Their is none. But it still shows that their is. I have uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app, restarted my iphone 15 pro max. Its been their since last July
Can not get into my account to save my life. There is an issue with registering an account which results in having a user ID associated with an email address, which can be retrieved through the “forgot my ID” feature, but it won’t let you reset the password with that user ID because it says there is no user ID... despite the system telling you the user ID and email address associated with it. I have called customer service to fix this issue and it apparently can not be fixed!!! I just want to schedule my bill through my account!!!!!!
I used to struggle with the online bill pay system crashing and often had to call in to pay my bill each month. The app makes the process fast and easy!
As the title says... there are so many excellent features with this app that are beyond just paying utility bills. And if that is all you need to do, this app makes it so simple! Look forward to the updates along the way to make me even more knowledgeable about my energy usage! Bravo Alliant Energy, bravo!
I signed up for automatic bill pay each month. I submitted my bank information and it said I was enrolled. Next thing I get is notice my payment is overdue. I tried calling but due to storm power outages I was unable to speak with customer service and wasn’t able to contact them in line either. I ended up resubmitting my bank information and finally got my bill paid but now I am concerned I will have late payment charges.
If you’re smart enough to know how, the app is very easy to use. Easy navigation and the past bills pull up easily in a .pdf format for easy storage. Much better than trying to read the little print on a phone using a browser.
I’ve had this app for quite some time and there are a two very annoying issues: 1. You simply CANNOT clear the message count balloon. It was always and forever say that there is at least 1 message. 2. The My Home section is horribly inefficient when adding Ways to Save. The workflow takes you all the way back to the beginning every time you want to add a new way even though it asks you if you want to add another.
Very well set up app. Easy to use and stay current on bills and important information. Fast and accurate, wish more app’s would be like this to pay bills and get important information!
Really easy to use. Easy to navigate and really nice to not only to be able to see past balance and current either together or apart. Ur also able to choose the amount u pay. And ur usage
You’ll need your account number handy when you sign up. Easy to see current and past bills, get alerts and many other features. Much easier than going to their website.
No power problems, customer service people are friendly, but auto pay keeps billing an expired card. I’ve updated every month for 4 months and still doesn’t work. Will not let me delete the expired card, which it continues to show as default even after I’ve updated. Very frustrating
The last two times I opened the app/ my account it showed that I didn't owe any $ and no payment was required, and that was just couple days before the due date and I let it be. Today, just a week later, I went into my account and now it tells me that I am overdue. You are destroying my credit
I’m trying to open the app and it keeps giving me a message stating that I have to update to the newest version. Then there is a update button. However, that just takes me back to the App Store where it’s say open. I’ve tried deleting and downloading again and it still won’t allow me to update the app. I wish this could be fixed.
Makes it very difficult to pay bill with ease using a debit card. Requires user to submit bank account information instead of just allowing entering in the info at the time of payment. Also users have to call an 800 number to link account to the mobile app. Too many hoops! Not user friendly! I deleted immediately and will continue to mail a check. So much for going paperless.
The app works well for basic functions, not that you should need to do much with your gas and electric utility. Paying the bill is quick and easy. Please add the ability to save my password or use Touch ID!
…from a previous version upon launching the app. It is frustrating that this is the only notification I saw and it required the update to be completed before using the app. No grace period was given to update the app.
Usually, this app works great. Right now, I’m getting an “app update required” error, and when I search for the app in the store, it simply takes me back to the app, which shows the same error screen. Please fix!
I’m trying to update my payment information in the app and I can’t put anything in one of the required fields because the app will not let me move the cursor there. And then the automated phone system keeps hanging up on me. I will consider changing my review if the app is fixed.
