On the feature board, there were 5 features promised for the app: 1. Push Notifications for chat, alerts, and other notifications. 2. Technician GPS Tracking (If you've used TSheets, you know how useful this is for timesheets and dispatching). 3. Scheduler (Shifts, holidays, sick leave, etc) 4. Task management 5. Remote connections. In this release, the only features are push alerts, remote connectivity, and you can view customers. No GPS tracking, scheduler, or task management. And unfortunately, you cant see tickets, which would really be useful, and is strange since the ‘mobile’ version of the app would let you do it (but was a little hamstrung since you couldn't leave notes on the time entries. Hopefully the other promised features are coming soon (and don’t cost extra...).
I was really hoping that this app would at least get me some solid alert notifications, but it doesn't. I'll get notifications all right, but when I eventually get into the app, the notifications aren't in there. Refreshing the list doesn't help. As an example, I got an alert notification telling me I have a critical CPU alert, but the alert doesn't show which device. I swipe the notification to open it, have to log into the app (virtually every time), which includes having to enter my email address (it doesn't remember that). Once in, I go to alerts, and it lists a few warnings, but the critical alert isn't even in the list. Pretty much worthless for my intended purpose. Very frustrating.
The main reason I downloaded this was so I can be notified when a new ticket gets put in or an update is made to an existing ticket that is owned by me. This never works correctly and if it does it’s for a day or two then goes out. The usual fix is delete it from your phone then reinstall and re enable push notifications. This however doesn’t always work. I have reached out multiple times and it’s always the same answer someone is working on it and it will be fixed shortly. Please for the love of god fix the most important part of this…
Our company joined Atera years ago and have been along for the ride. On the web software many improvements have been made (and some steps back), but that is part of building. This app however is abysmal. It has rarely been designed to show data that is useful to technicians and if it does, you cannot do anything with it. After recent updates, I can almost never get into the app. Biometrics doesn’t work and it captchas me all the time. This is so bad I am taking time to write this review while a server is down because I cannot get on the app.
Ideally I would like to see the patch management feature added, as well as the software reporting feature that allows you to uninstall programs. The app still has a long way to go to make it comparable to the web version and competitor apps. Hoping to see more updates a s features added in the future.
Don’t mind the negative reviews about missing features. It takes time to develop a modern app. It’s early on in development but I like what I see so far even if it’s just informational. Keep up the great work. I look forward to future updates and I’ll update my review as they come in. Lastly thank you for the work your doing to make MSPs lives easier.
So far, seems more like a beta. Missing important features like Ticket creation and tracking. Log in is very slow but does work. Good for bringing up a list of your accounts and contacts but that is mostly it. If anything I would say more of a companion app?? Definitely needs ALOT more features and functionality but I’m sure the Atera team is aware of this... time will tell...
It’s not bad for the first time release, logging into client machines without having to constantly log in to the web is a time saver. The alerts for devices not much or care for. I’m waiting for the next update to have the ticket system. Keep up the good work. As a software developer myself I know it can take time, don’t mind the negative reviews.
I’ve been using the software and app for almost a year now. And it’s getting very frustrating seeing the app crash over and over again. Also, lacks of many of the features that could be of great support when working in the road. Even with the minimum features it has, if it stops crashing so often, will be a valuable tool. But for now it's almost unused.
While I appreciate the features available in the app, I feel that they need to be more fleshed out. Also, I’d like to see the all stay logged in for longer than a day (even permanently, or even give an option for when it logs you out). Looking forward to follow the further development of this app.
Fingerprint on my Iphone never works. "Something went wrong". I tried logging out, logging back in. Also uninstalled and reinstalled. It's pretty inconvenient to have to use google auth each time I want to check a ticket on my mobile app.
8 months since last version release:(. Please improve the app on the same cycle as the web app! Missing so many features compared to other modern apps.
I love Atera, however the current features in the app is very limited. I cannot create tickets etc and view all the normal information I would see in the web app. There is much more room for work. Looking forward to seeing some drastic improvements and feature adds. I hope they update the app soon.
The app is useless. After marginally working for a while the app no longer loads. But alerts come through. So you can have a teaser about a problem, but can’t do anything about it. Please remove from the App Store until it has some functionality that is meaningful.
Barely works. Never allows you to remote in, doesn’t let you assign customers to devices or change the name of a device. Now when I log in I just get a blank screen. Imagine paying $150 a month for this app
I don’t understand why an app would be rolled out if no testing was done. Typing in search comes out as blank letters. Load up on screen is not aligned. Please do some testing before notifying your clients about this so-called great tool
App can’t push scripts, do basic tasks, or even display basic site info like passwords. App is trash and the flow design is amateurish at best. - 2/10 would not recommend
There should be no need to authenticate on your phone every other time you login. Refuses to work with face recognition or code, even after a phone wipe and reload. App does not push notifications- likely because it’s signing you out. The notifications is the main reason to have this app and fails miserably. ATERA you need a better app developer.
Most of the functionality I need is missing. Images (like.png and .jpg) Do not show up when I view a ticket on mobile. Makes it almost useless when trying to view ticket on the go. Timer auto-starting when viewing a ticket is also not something I can turn off on mobile. Still needs plenty of work…
Can't see all devices details , 16 iOS wants to take a qr code to sign in on the app it self how do I can my own phone . Did you let gpt write your code too?
I cannot log in. It wants the code from my Microsoft Auth app and it always says it’s wrong. I don’t have any issues logging in from the website however. Seems like the app is just broken.
