Avast One is easy to use and remarkably fast. It's nice to have reliable Internet security, with apps for removing advertisement trackers, malware that is attached to websites, emails, and web files. I lost 350 pages of a novel once, that took a year and a half to rewrite. It took two years to write the first time. So malware can do a tremendous amount of personal and professional damage. Avast reports the various categories it has checked, and it appears to be a comprehensive security app which offers different security vectors for specific searches beyond the normal scans of personal files. If the malware "patterns" are as professionally coded and updated, as the app programming, it's a lot of protection for a reasonable annual cost.
The software was easy to install for my iOS devices. However the MacBook Pro install was and is more of an issue. The MacBook was bewildering to determine where to go for changes that needed to be made to allow the install to complete. I still have 2 issues, the software identifies that I have two devices and I have three devices counting the MacBook. The devices are all on the same account. Also the malware software doesn’t seem to work for site searches “Can’t find server” “Google services “ and “No internet service “.
I will only be getting the free stuff from Avast from now on, if I don’t just go with someone else entirely. Last time I was renewing my subscription they double charged me, once to renew my old subscription and then to buy my new one. (They did refund the renewal charge once I got ahold of someone.) This time, they renewed without notifying me until the day they charged my card. For $106! And I can’t even use it on my phone because it starts preventing apps from working and blocks websites it shouldn’t (like Microsoft Office, and places like that), and I fight with it on my computer too. So I’m paying over $100 for something I can barely use, because it screws up my devices. Now I’m on hold crossing my fingers for a refund (which I probably won’t get), and I’ve been on hold for almost an hour. With extremely annoying “music”.
After having it installed for a couple weeks, i had to remove it. The vpn seriously hinders my ability to goto common web sites like cnnor fox or other sites. I tried to turn off the vpn thru settings only to have it automatically come back one. Only way i can see how tgat can happen is via remote access or it was written in to the app. Either way, I don't have that level of tolerance. If I want it off, I want it off. Not off, then see it come back on a few seconds later. I gave avast a 4 star because overall it is still a great program and one of the oldest anti virus companies out there.

Now, if you can find all the pictures of my German Shepherd dog they’re in this phone somewhere I bought a new phone exchange them and I can’t find them and then they tell me that my number don’t match and they tell me the password doesn’t match I think they just fight me and fight me on this toothey finally locate my pictures. I need those pictures my dog is dead and I want to see those pictures again.
Since I downloaded Avast One to my cell phone, I have had nothing but problems with my phone. I just went to go open the avast app to see if anything was found today and it closed itself out just as fast as I opened it. I live in a rule area and use my Wi-Fi for cell phone calls. I have never had issues with my phone calls until I loaded avast. It hangs up in the middle of a call. It’s cutting in and out and people can’t tell what I’m saying and when I’m typing on my keyboard, it flick my phone. I had a one week trial. Two days in I was billed for a whole year through my iPhone. I canceled the service and there’s no refund. It’ll just stop in 2025. Do not waste your money on this.
I had been with Norton for several years, after many times of having to call for help, and most of the time ended up with not total satisfaction. I quit them, searched for several hours and settled for AVAST, I called, spoke with tech rep. And unfortunately The rep. Had to call back, long story short, the rep. Guided me thru the moves and SUCCESS. I am glad I switched and hope that I will be with them for several years.

Avast techs are extremely helpful and kind. I had a big issue with my computer. The tech not only fixed the issue, he walked me through, step by step, and EXPLAINED the what, why and how. All without my feeling stupid. I learned things I never would have thought about at all. It’s so nice to know Avast definitely has my back. Thank you!
Still learning the features. I haven’t been able to locate one if it has it and that would be a reverse phone number lookup. I’ve had some strange numbers I would like to check out that keep calling or texting. Ther than that, I’m satisfied.
Would both VPNs still be able to mask browser activity for browsers besides Safari? Or is it just for Safari browsing, and not for the overall security of a device? Thank you in advance.
I cannot open the Avast One app. I get notification via email but clicking on the app only give a rotation without any access…,this app is worthless to me with being able to open it!!!!
I don’t leave reviews often but with this I had to make an exception because I paid for this one. This app just takes up space on your phone because it’s just basically static. A placebo. Don’t really do anything that iPhones IOS soft ware doesn’t do already. I ended up feeling like the app was actually logging my data so I deleted after only a few days. Requested a refund and got turned down twice. Won’t make that mistake again. Will you?
Completely better than expected. I had some doubts but contacted support and they ended up assuring me my worries were nothing! I used to use Avast Premier until that became something else, and then I left the Avast ecosystem. I’m so glad they finally have an all-in-one product, it makes it so much easier. Thanks Avast!
App seems to be protecting my iPad as advertised but it uses way too much power! I can only use my iPad for approximately four hours when running Avast Plus before I have to charge it! If you are like me and use your iPad all day, then this can be a real nuisance! I should have read the reviews more through before purchasing this app.
Havent had it long enough to do that. Found a spam. I didnt. Write. I hsve recently found one. Lately. The sale ads from B& B clostout. Sent message back with just spam. Only one i have ever sent. I did order and. Still waiting.
While brand new to this app I found answers to my questions, directions as well as the sequence of both were placed in a logical Helpful order. In a very short time period I have learned a great deal. I may include the fifth star after receiving the answers to the help I asked for.
Very Poor Tech Support / called back with no pick up of phone
No tech support when called back on week 2 when initial set up would not work/ help! Finally- got I got the software to run. Called Back but on hold a long long time but finally I got it working! If you get software to Work great but help via a call, forget it!
This doesn’t respect your turning it off. It overrides if you watch after turning it off and turns itself back on… After just a few seconds it’s back on. Thanks for overstepping your boundaries, I uninstalled. For any actual protection you obviously are required to upgrade as well. Avast for pc used to be free. I don’t think I like their business anymore.
they'll keep harassing you through text message saying that you have viruses and there's no way to contact customer support. I'm not even sure if this is something I paid for is working or not.
Unlike my MacBook shutting off VPN through the app on my iPhone does not shut off VPN on the phone. I cannot connect to some websites that don’t allow connections via VPN until I uninstall Avast VPN through iPhone settings. Then I have to reinstall it later. This is highly inconvenient and is not the way the app should function.
Avast One stopped working and Technical Support could not fix. I was advised to upgrade to a more expensive plan. Avast One still isn’t working and I can’t get anyone to answer the phone at billing to submit for a refund. Just sitting in the queue for literally 25mins listening to annoying music. Bad product and horrible business practices.
I cannot initiate management of firewall settings on this app on my phone. There’s no page for me to find it in the settings and at the bottom of all pages are where the device controls usually are and it doesn’t scroll up so I can’t see if there are any controls to navigate to the firewall on the app.
It’s great! Would recommend but it uses to much power, plus it’s not a antivirus and the computer version is antivirus so please add antivirus to the mobile version. But other than that it’s great!
The good is that it protects me from threats. The bad part is that websites don’t load or video content on Facebook won’t load. I have no problems with my desktop Avast one but the iphone app is a pain. I have tried it in the past previously and now I remember why I stopped using it.
I recently got a virus and I was so worried about and this app has really changed my phone by cleaning it out and now I don’t have to worry about account tracking
I have Avast One on 2 computers and 2 mobile phones. I like the variety of functions it has and especially the VPN. However on my iPhone SE (3rd gen) the VPN is not always seemless. At times I delete the app altogether just to get connectivity back.
Look these people want you to give them five star ratings when you do not know what all they do I understand that they never review these emails and I just started with them so how good is this app does anyone know ?I am going to give them a two till someone from company calls me and if they do not I will be there worst advertisement on social media

App keeps closing. When the app closes upon reset the VPN will state it is in and showing virtual ip. It IS NOT cloaking the ip address. The address displayed is the service providers and if the app is forced closed and re-opened it rarely shows an updated virtual ip. The app is running down the battery in the background when the the VPN function is toggled off and the device is NOT in use. Support contacted no valid answer.
It’s amazing when I first got this phone my wifi didn’t work because of a virus and now it works and it’s fixed many problems I’ve had with viruses and websites. 10/10
Former Avira user decided this Avast One package best currently. I will continue to see what Avira puts together. And as for the other antivirus programs, I did not even consider test driving them.
I have purchased several Avast products thinking it was all inclusive. I am confused as to why I am then nickled and dimed for additional coverage for things I’m not sure I need and don’t receive a more understandable explanation for why I might need it too.
Without constant updates of AvastOne VPN is useless. I’m not so sure that AvastOne is properly working with Cellphones either. If you ever been in foreign countries you’ll know.
I have the free Avast One individual trial installed on an iMac, a Windows laptop and, up until just recently, on my iPhone, and I’m disappointed that the Windows version has way more features and functionality than the Mac and iOS versions. That said, several of those features do not work as promised.
Still don’t trust anything online Am still happy with how avast cleans organized and is still going strong! Don’t know how to say this but cpu are getting old
My brand new subscription of the antivirus program says it found something stopping the scan so I added this it was no help and just like before I quit using your product last time I was locked out of my home Wi-Fi witch this time your av kept saying was a public Wi-Fi with no way to fix good by.
This “anti-virus” it’s a virus it doesn’t let you download anything and it’s taken over my computer now I can’t even touch something without it saying oh that’s one virus detected I personally play a lot of games on my computer and I can’t download anything from steam anymore because of avast one

There are many features that I like for Avast One on my desktop. But I’m using another VPN and can’t find a way to turn off the Avast VPN on the IOS device. Running a connection through two VPNs slows it to a snail’s pace!
