Good product

I do like the product as it does make me more aware of how I am driving. And we use it in company as a competition between foreman of the same trade. The only thing I don’t really like about the app is that because I drive less than others in our company it seems like if I do get dinged it hurts my score a lot worse than others that drive farther. It does not seem fair that my score is impacted harder for a similar thing than others because they live farther away.

No way to contact inaccurate scores

This is a good tool to use for large fleets. However please note the scoring on this app is not always accurate. I watch my driving religiously and compare it to this app daily. January and February of 2023 matched well. But March and the beginning of April showed a steady decline in scoring, but my driving did not change. However looking over the trip calculations it shows one day in April of a hard break with a minus of 1 point. Looking closer at where this infraction happen shows the vehicle braking hard going up hill! This area here requires very little breaking needed due to allowing the vehicle to slow on its own due to going up hill. If you are employed by a company that uses this application to watch your driving I would highly recommend looking at other apps to place on your phone and cover yourself. This app gives no help to the employees to challenge scores or scoring. Drivers who are required to have this in their company vehicle, Please be aware of idle time! Our company mechanic had to work on the vehicle. He kept it running for over 60 minutes. This dropped my score dramatically. It is important to keep things like this document.

This GPS is inaccurate, flaky and unreliable

On multiple occasions I have been tracked going routes that I never took. How is this possible? Also it has cut out and re-started randomly during trips. I’ve also received not tracking for over 12 hour notices a couple of times and then I got accused of unplugging my device. Once, I never even drove it and the other time I unplugged it because it wasn’t connecting. Oh boy, you better believe my company lease operator had to make a threatening email about it. It’s not my fault the device is garbage. I shouldn’t get in trouble for something I have no control over. If anything, adding these to company vehicles has only added stress to my job because I get dinged for the dumbest things and my drivers score goes way down. I understand the point of having them for insurance purposes but, there’s too many variables most of which you have no control over especially if the device isn’t working properly. You have no control of other drivers cutting you off forcing you to break hard. But nobody cares about that.

Azuga is not providing me with an IRS Compliant tagging system.

I need help setting up the trip tagging part of the program and they are not answering my communications as they said they would. I run a service company. I am not driving a big truck back and forth across the country. I make daily trips to my customers and often then to a supply store for materials and back again. Each trip has to be tagged by date, address, name or suitable identifier and some note about why I went there. When I signed up with Azuga, I explained all this and even that all Azuga’s competitors advertise they provide such IRS compliance. It is not new but it is required. I am trapped in this mess with no believable help since they charged me for this mess on April 18th and that is almost two months after the crooked Russians invaded Ukrain and they aren’t getting anywhere either.

Very handy tool

This app works pretty solid for what it needs to do and what you're trying to accomplish as far as checking where your vehicles are, breadcrumb reports ECT. One gripe I do have is that it takes forever to load on my iPhone. It brings up the live maps in the background with the loading circle and the truck in the middle. I have that loading circle for over a min on my screen. Wifi or cellular it's slow. Running an iPhone 14 pro max and 5G UC cellular. Idk what the issue is but that my complaint. Other than that, app is cool.

Azuga GPS / App

My complaint is more about the Azuga product scoring more than it is about the app itself. I feel this GPS is rating drivers incorrectly. I would get rid of the hard brake and only keep hardcore braking. Hard braking isn’t necessarily hard braking but according to Azuga it is and it’s a red flag. I’ve had a ton of space between me and another vehicle and was only slowing down and it said I did a hard brake, impossible! It can be a great product outside of that one hiccup. On the other hand, if I had to slam on brakes for any reason, making my vehicle’s front end drop and brakes lock up, then yes, penalize me for that.

Azuga Helps A Lot

I’ve been using Azuga for just over a year on my company owned vehicle. I must say my driving has improved as it’s made me much more aware of my braking and speed. Honestly, I think my miles per gallon has improved dramatically too. No one likes to be monitored but once you buy into the concept it’s clear to see the benefits of being a more responsible driver. I find i am driving my own vehicle in a safer more conscientious manner too! Kevin Freeman

Not always accurate drive like a old man get a 93 do one over the speed limit and break a little faster and get a higher score. Score are not proper sometimes and other times it’s right on also have not been able to see my scores on the grid . Wish would not get score alerts before 6 every morning

A Great Step Towards Safe Driving

I live the fact that this app exists! I’m constantly concerned over the growing deaths that are on the road due to reckless and distracted driving. Almost everyone I see is either speeding and or looking at their phones more than they are the road. I would love to see stuff like this be made mandatory for all drivers not just commercial drivers. Thanks Azuga for fighting for safe driving!

Inaccurate

I am always ultra focused on my speed. I will randomly get speeding dings and they show up no where on my trip logs. This needs to be fixed. Each account should receive a detailed notification about each incident instead of having to look through the trip log just to find nothing. I also feel like the braking portion makes me drive more dangerously. Instead of stoping for that light that has turned yellow I tend to now just keep going through it instead of stressing out about getting a braking ding. That’s the same for when someone cuts you off. I tend to pump my brakes as soft as I can and end up stoping uncomfortably close to the car that cut me off.

Personal Improvement

I heard about this app through my company. They wanted to prioritize safe driving amongst all the drivers of their drivers. At first I was somewhat hesitant, the idea of driving being monitored . However after seeing my score's improving it became a personal challenge. Overall this app is helping my driving as well as my coworkers and is positive for the company.

The braking portion of your app does not match the vehicles we drive. The entire field drives work vehicles with heavy loads creating a stronger inertia when braking especially in heavy stop and go traffic. Gentlemen with even heavy loads and heavy trucks create an even bigger braking inertia especially those who drive the KUV style or 1 ton trucks. I’ve monitored my scores for the past 2, years Along with others matching them to the vehicle they drive and the above rings out. We don’t drive Prius’

Everything Counts Against You

This application is trash, if a driver cuts you off and you have to swerve or break suddenly it all counts against you, if you have to pull over on the side of the road to be on a conference call while on the road answer a text or email and you’re idling it counts against you because apparently their so called experts this isn’t a common practice. Anything you do in a vehicle which has this application or anything like it it’s in my opinion useless, it’s relying on the data sent via gps No use of cameras as to see why the event happened.

Interesting premise but lacking detail

I think it will eventually be a good program, but in its present state it doesn’t give you enough information. It gives you daily driving ratings as a number, but doesn’t explain how that number is generated. It will also claim incidents occurred, but then not give you any information about the incidents. The metrics need clarity. Just giving a number from 1 to 100 does not actually explain what you are doing right or wrong.

Unrealistic metrics

Normal brake pressure while going uphill? Hardcore braking event! 300 feet to stop when traffic light changes? Braking event! Leave extra space to avoid hard breaking only to suddenly loose the space to a slow car? Braking event anyway! Get cut off or need to avoid other driver’s stupidity? Braking event! You end up being incentivized to run red lights, try to use all of your space and risk the car in front suddenly braking harder, or you just don’t care about the score. Regardless of how good you drive, 75 miles of weekly commuting with 180 traffic lights to go through will make you want to run the light since a single braking event with such low mileage results in a score below 80. Yet, the same data they use will show that less miles traveled also lowers the probability of accidents.

Not bad

Works great. Occasionally will get behind on recognizing the vehicle has stopped and letting me log my reasoning after stopping. At times, it will be a 1-2hr delay before a stop shows up. That can make it confusing on reconciling the route when it does show the stops. BUT, this has gotten much better in the last year.

Obedient robot

I love being tracked by my corporate overlords. They tracking me so excellently. All obedient employee types should be tracked, it’s pure bliss to be viewed at all times. Idling is privilege, preserves for only the worthy few. Even in extreme cold, or heat, my corporate overlords strictly forbid temperature control, and that is pleasing for obedient robot. Please report my delight to the overlords, and express my undying gratitude for observing my every move.

Wonderful App for my Business Vehicles

Routing my guys has never been easier. I know exactly where my vehicles are at all times. In the untimely event that one of my vehicles where to be stolen, I will be able to track them very easily and hope for a quick recovery. Highly recommend!

Awesome & I never really have had any problems or issues with said application and I really enjoy being able to have this application to use while I’m working at work, it always helps make my work life a lot easier through out the day.

I like the app it keeps me calm while driving, I have notice that I’m getting more miles per gallon by the change in driving habits. I wish the score was based on the miles you drive not on the most miles driven by anyone in the fleet. I love the rewards.

Hard braking needs work

I recently started using Azuga in a company vehicle and the only mark against me has been for hard braking. I was doing the speed limit (35)and a lights changed yellow. If I kept going the light would have been red by the time I went through so I stopped in the best manner possible for the situation and was given a mark for excessive braking.

Not user friendly

The app has a good layout, however I find it difficult to adjust any of the settings. For example it would be helpful to rename the vehicles or change the map view to satellite mode. It would also be useful to be able to change what constitutes an alarm or alert. I also can’t figure out how to view the cameras but I have a feeling that part is user error.

Not very accurate. Over critical with events.

Don’t understand how I took streets to my job site on day, but when I look at my trip log, it shows me taking two freeways. Hmmm..... thought these unit had gps mapping. How can I get an acceleration event from 3mph to 11 mph??? I just left from a stop light and this thing is beeping at me. I feel this app is more of a hazard because of the ridiculous events. I’m running more yellow lights now to avoid getting braking events and lowering my score. I don’t drive as bad as this app says I do. Very frustrating.

Big brother

I understand the concept of the gps tracker for fleet management and support it. The biggest problem is the device doesn’t understand what is happening in real-time. You get dinged for a hard break for someone cutting you off where it was the safe thing to break, or get dinged for speeding as you cost down a hill with cruise set to the speed limit. The device can’t see what’s going on and will ding you just because that’s what it’s programmed to do even though what you did was probably the safer/correct decision.

Breaking and speed inaccurate

If you look at my history it shows average speed the route of travel I take the speed limit is 30mph and 35 mph how can my speed be such a low rating also the breaking I made sure to slow down way before the stop and it is still low rating my other truck my score was an average of 95 or better ???????? Same route and same driver

Customer service

Do not use this company. Their customer service is terrible. We have been a customer for a couple of years and it has always been an issue. We canceled our service with our designated account representative, Micheal, and yet we were still charged over $1700. I have requested numerous call backs and am still waiting 6 weeks later. The product itself is ok but not at all accurate. Find another company.

Horrible

Lacks detail and encourages bad driving. My coworkers agree this is more hindering than anything. We tend to run more yellow lights, stop real close to vehicles, and accelerate slower just to avoid getting alerts that drops your score. No detail is given about any of the reports and only gives you a score that in no way helps you improve. Only gives more incentive to drive recklessly... Edit: speeding score drops horrendously- no speeding dings/notifications present

A terrible app

Download this app if you want to run off a lot of good employees. Minus fifteen points for one traffic incident and a 92% for a perfect day. Never use this app. This is the app that you use when you want to get rid of employees. I had a perfect driving day and I got 70%. I had a horrible driving day and I got 97%. The devs even admit the scoring is adjustable. This app was one of many reasons that I took a job somewhere else. If your company gets this app, start job hunting.

Not Accurate

The GPS tracking is not accurate. Many times it’s shown me driving routes that were off by miles. The scoring system is also a little odd, the more miles you drive the higher score you get. Should be the opposite since the more time you spend on the road the more likely you are to get in an accident

My only wish is that it had a map replay option for multiple trucks. One at a time is very time consuming.

Very glitchy and inaccurate

This is very glitchy and gives very inaccurate data. It can all of a sudden stop tracking for up to 6 hours. I can get speeding or acceleration incident, but doesn’t show up anywhere in my trip logs. There is no rhyme or reason to how they score. You could have two drivers and one of them have lower scores for all four categories than the second driver and he will have the higher over score. Very unreliable.

Not updating live location

At first it would have the live location of the tow truck and when the the ignition was turned on and off now it doesn’t update properly only shows the location if the seat belt is off or using phone. The gps doesn’t update and cant watch any of the camera footage.

Poorly designed system

Vehicles disappear for no reason, they say it’s because the software is being updated. There should be an easily accessible help tab, there isn’t. It updates slow, people will call me when the arrive, I still see them on the freeway. It groups all of my vehicles from Sacramento to San Jose together as one unless you zoom in, this is silly.

Big brother is watching

This app is not effective for the individual driver. It fails to show the results in a timely manner nor does it explain the reasons for the score it gives. Really limited and now more so since the app provider has shut down some of the functions such as being able to log in on line and see your scores and progress b

Pretty good

The company that I work for uses this app to motivate the employees to drive safer. I like that there are rankings. I think that drives a little bit of a competitive spirit within the guys. Overall not bad.

I agree with other reviews that give a poor rating

This app is very inaccurate. Showed my daily tracking taking roads I did not drive on. It looked like the spaghetti tracking forecast for a hurricane. It rates your idling while stuck in traffic and if you are down in south Florida, forget about it. If you have someone cut you off or go over a bumpy road, your braking score drops. So of you are trying to get the $5 reward. Good luck.

Not accurate

App goes off and on all the time. Have to pair to van constantly. No way to acknowledge why I would have to brake or accelerate when needed to avoid a accident. July 1st 2021 Really starting to hate this . I drive safe but can’t help what others do during the course of my day driving. So I’m being judged on driving skills based on everyone else’s driving abilities.

Poor to None for customer service

We have had numerous problems with the devices and keep getting the runaround regarding replacement. This has been going on for months and completely unacceptable. I just don’t understand why they can’t do what they say they would do when we first signed up with the service.
