Well, maybe not too long, but I have been using Bebird ear cameras since 2019. So I have had a few of them. I just got the M9 and I love it! Unfortunately, all of a sudden everything connects, battery fully charged… but the screen is black. It won’t show me the camera. Very upset, because I know there is nothing wrong with the camera, I take good care of it. I have had to get so many of these… I love what they do, but the app can get glitchy sometimes and the cameras eventually crap out on you, usually in less than a year.

I prefer to use this on iPad since it has a bigger screen and won’t complain about “no internet, switch to cellular data” like my iPhone does. The problem is this app does not seem to support landscape mode. I always have to rotate my iPad from landscape to vertical and then back to landscape to get the image to rotate and that can only be done from within the camera view, not the Home Screen. If they allowed the Home Screen to be landscape this would fix that issue. The other problem I have is the image is always mirrored/reversed. I have to tap the ear icon to flip it and then it’s correct but it never remembers this setting. It also never remembers the camera brightness setting. Please allow these settings to be saved rather then being reverted each time. If these three things could be fixed then the app would be 5 stars. As for the product, it works well and I recommend it but I wish they made the tips smaller. Even the smallest blue rubber scoop is too big. A smaller one would make the job easier. August 2024 update: the latest version of the app is even worse then before. The app doesn’t work in landscape at all. The settings have completely disappeared. The camera is super laggy and choppy when I never had that issue before and you can’t even see the percentage of the battery anymore. I’m so frustrated with this downgrade I’m about to throw it out and find something from a different brand.

This ear probe device is a great little tool and worth every penny but it's a bit tricky. It charges up fast and even shows you on the app portion how much battery percentage you have so no guess work there. Since everyone's main complaint is how to connect, this is how I did that. I turned the ear probe on first. Then I went to my settings on my Ipad and be-bird showed up. I tapped be-bird which disconnected me from my network name on the list. I got a "no internet connection" which I then uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Again no internet connection. The instruction book says reboot my router but nope not doing that. Also it says contact my provider but again nope and in frustration I walked away and when I got back about five min later, lo and behold the app opened on my ipad, I gently inserted the probe and I was able to see inside my ear and get to the bottom of why my ear felt full and sore. Guess what---. Inflammation ; time to make a dr appt. This app could use some improvements on connectivity but I think it's an essential thing to have around the house together with a trusty thermometer, BP monitor and a good stethoscope all which are good to have if you want to know if its time to call the doc or go to the ER.

First, the instructions (in the app or in the hard copy that comes with the device) clearly were not edited correctly, so some things make no sense. Next, be sure to use THIS app, not the “Bebird Pro” app which has much better reviews, but won’t work (not sure how that happens). When your device keeps dropping the wifi, turn off Bluetooth like many people recommends. It works great if you follow the instructions in the reviews. As far as the “fit & finish” of the device, it is very well done. The pen feels sturdy and the charging holder that opens to yield tips inside is a great idea. I would give the device 5 stars but it seems like the company cheeped out on the app as it is more of a beta version vs production. That being said, the device is worth getting and I hope enough people complaining about the app will push the company to add some updates soon to fix stability and bugs.

While my device charged, I read some reviews and got scared and wondered if I shouldn’t waste my time and just return the device. I was able to get it to work in less than 3 mins. After switching your wifi to the bebird, you have to hit the button on the the device for it to turn on/off. I’m sure this is why so many people are having issues with connecting the device to their phone correctly. It took less than an hour to charge and it says in the app how long you can use it before needing another charge (75mins) so charging it overnight like some people had issues of it not working properly. If I can suggest, use the black accessory after becoming accustomed to the device. I scratched my inner ear thinking I needed that to “grab” the goo.

I just received my device today,and used it for the first time,everything went off without a hitch and I'm pleased with my purchase. That said,I almost didn't buy this because of the app reviews and ratings,I'll go ahead and cover a couple things: 1)I didn't receive any ads,but I also declined the popup upon startup that was probably asking if I minded being sent ads (I do) 2)This is a WIFI DEVICE,which means you need to connect to it as you would a router,don't try to connect using Bluetooth because this is not a Bluetooth device The first time I opened the app,I went to settings and disconnected from my router,and connected to the Bebird,it connected immediately and started working with no issues

Bought the “BeBird Note 5”. It just arrived. I was very excited to use it, however, I can’t. 1) The device doesn’t connect to the app. 2) The app directions say choose your model. The Note5 isn’t listed. 3). The directions also say connect to the WAN. Can’t do that. WAN is not an option on my iPhone. I do have local network on in my WIFI settings 4) Bebird eventually pops up as a WIFI option, HOWEVER, it is unsecured and I’m not going to reconfigure my WIFI. 3). When I tried to go to the website via the links provided to read up on their security permissions I got a warning that said their certification had expired 17 days ago and did I want to continue? I did not. Slick looking gadget but everything about it looks scammy. Why doesn’t it connect via Bluetooth? Why are the directions out of date? Etc, etc. It’s going back.

iOS causes issues with any device that uses its own WiFi connection for app communication. It happens with dashcams, cameras, IoT devices, etc. This app works flawlessly if you know what you’re doing. 1) Open settings 2) Scroll *alllllll* the way down to the Bebird settings and open it 3) Turn off cellular data 4) This prevents the app from attempting to use cellular instead of WiFi which, again, is an iOS limitation. I have to do the same thing with my Rexing dashcam. Sometimes it may help to turn off Bluetooth (have to do it in CarPlay to access my Dashcam because my car has wireless CarPlay which forces my phone to connect to my car’s WiFi network) As for my review of the app, it’s fast, doesn’t look like a cheap Chinese knockoff, and works as expected without any bugs that I’ve noticed. It also keeps the screen on while streaming the camera which is nice. App reviews are not the place to review the actual product, do that on Amazon/Walmart/wherever you bought it

Quick tip: turn your Bluetooth off, as it appears to interfere with your pick connection I followed the instructions, got all the way to the point where I connected to my Wi-Fi, went back into the app, hit start, it never found the camera and after about 10 seconds would flip back to the “Connect to Wi-Fi” screen in the app. Since people were saying Bluetooth had issues, I turned my Bluetooth off. Tried again and it worked like a charm. So if you were having the same issues where it keeps flipping your back to the Wi-Fi connection instructions, try turning off your Bluetooth and repeat the connection to Wi-Fi step.

Easily connected my iPhone 11 Pro to bebird WiFi on first try and was able to use scope and app within minutes. Video is clear. App is simple and straightforward. No complaints. I see some reviewers could not connect probe to phone. I am wondering if they are trying to connect as if it were a Bluetooth device, which this is not, instead of joining the bebird WiFi network that appears after bebird probe is powered on?? Also if battery is low probe will connect to phone momentarily but will shutoff which will terminate the WiFi connection. All you have to do is charge the probe or use while it is plugged in.

I have had my camera for about 9 months. Other than connecting to WiFi issues, which is no big deal if you just use data instead, I haven’t had too many issues. Occasionally it would freeze but again not too much of an issue as you just restart it and it’s all good. Well all of a sudden my camera screen in the app is green and pink. It’s almost like looking at a photograph negative I guess. I don’t know. I’ve tried cleaning my lens, deleting and reinstalling the app, letting the battery completely die and recharging it…nothing is working!!!! I’ve emailed the company and have gotten no response. Basically this camera is now useless. Sadly the company doesn’t seem to be helpful either.

I have the M9 pro... here’s what I did to make it work. First, the device charges on a computer... but it can’t be plugged in when you use it. So step one is... unplug! Second, it won’t connect unless you take the cap off the “pen”/ stylus/“ear looker”.... can be in or out of base. Step two: uncap. Third: For iPhone: go to settings/WiFi/networks other. The phone may take a minute or two to “discover” other networks. You will now see bebird... select it! Watch for the check mark saying you are connected. Fourth, go to the app on your phone. Hit the three lines at the top left: choose your device (hint: it’s on the back of the box it came in). Last: hit start. Yes, there is a block saying connect to WiFi... it’s just to tell you to do step 3. It’s a direction for you... not an actual connection. Hitting the picture of the house “start” button will allow you to start “bebirding”! The short version: unplug/uncap/connect/start Hope this helps!!

Charged the device out of the box overnight. Next day I unplugged the base but did not use the device. 2nd day decided to download the app and begin use of the device. Device turned on for about 2 minutes and needed to recharge, never even got a chance to use it. I’m really not sure what the standby time is but def didn’t expect the battery to be dead within the first 24 hours with 0 usage. There are toothbrushes that are as smaller, do more, and have a better battery life. Was looking forward to using the device since it seemed like a novel idea, but will be returning after such a poor out the box experience. Hopefully bebird can take the time and money to either get a better battery or at least some quality control on their devices.

This is an extremely well made, high quality tool, especially for the price. It’s not only superb for finding and painlessly removing ear wax from yourself and your children, but it gives a clear view of the eardrum to assess whether a child has a middle ear infection. No school nurse should be without this. In addition, it gives a high magnification view of any surface it’s held close to. In particular, it’s brilliant for examining teeth. It reveals cracks and tiny cavities even your dentist will miss. I ordered the A2 model out of curiosity. I was shocked at the quality and utility of what I received. Yes, it’s made in China. Yes, you have to puzzle over the instructions. No, a product of this quality and sophistication could not be manufactured in this country, and if it were, it would cost at least 100 times as much. I know this for a fact. I own a medical instrument company. Order it and figure it out. It’s not beyond the wit of man, and it is well worth the trouble.

When it says connect to your wifi it means go to your setting and go like if you’re going to connect to your home wifi it should be there named bird something I’m enjoying this soooo much and I can testify that when people say that cleaning your ears with q-tips is bad I never believed them but today just changed my mind and proved my wrong on that. I found this on tiktok and tried it and loved it I highly highly recommend it. Not sure if it helps my case but I’m a very picky person so take that how ever you want.

App installed and worked like a breeze. Great real-time images that guide you where to go - however, as the image seems mirrored, it’s counter intuitive to adjust the directions… I am sure if I invest a lot of time to train myself how to react in the opposite direction as I see, I can finally master the skill of ear wax removal. But wouldn’t it better if the developer can modify the image display so that you can operate in the same direction as you would see with your eyes?

The only way this device was usable was to be able to lock the camera in a specific direction, otherwise the camera flips angles constantly. With their newest update they removed this feature but put “modes” aka screen designs around the constantly moving camera. It is totally unusable now. I’ve owned five of these tools for my plaque psoriasis and they worked wonders and I was about to buy a new one but I won’t now. I reached out to customer service multiple times in multiple ways and got no answer back for over a week now. I won’t be purchasing from them or using this product anymore.

Very difficult setup with iPhone 12 the video that is in the app is very outdated none of the directions in the video matches my iPhone although the video is done with an out dated iPhone maybe remake or update the video! It probably would work on Bluetooth better but maybe the developers done know how to make it Bluetooth. Otherwise I’ve seen more of the inside of my ear than I really what to. Not for the squeamish! So gross!

I purchased this from my friend and love it. I don’t understand why everyone’s complaining about the connectivity. There’s a video explaining step-by-step on how to connect it. It was so easy and the cameras clear the device is high-quality and it’s a little charging stand. It’s cool I don’t see what the issue is. Anyways, I purchase this to resell but I’m going to keep it because yeah.. I like it.

I have used a BeBird for a couple of years after moving away from the more expensive “other brand”. I’ve not had any real issues with the device - besides graininess when it’s battery is low - until now. I opened the app the other day to find myself forced to view ads prior to being able to use a device that I paid for and have never had to view ads on before. It’s one thing if we start out with forced ads, but to have forced ads after is reprehensible. Perhaps if enough people speak with their wallet, this company will change their policy and their app.

I purchased this ear wax removal and didn’t expect it to be this good of a tool instead of wasting money going to the doctor to remove my ear wax I have a tool that can do it within 10 mins… best purchase of the year gets the job done great!!!! The app works really well too was able to set it up perfectly in a minute. Only critique is I wish it came with some sort of forceps attachment!!

At first the reviews scared me but this was actually really helpful to help clear out the wax I had in my ears. People had problems with the WiFi and I did too but it’s because I didn’t watch the video they have for you to watch on how to connect it. Watch the video and bam, it works. It’s really easy and and quality is actually pretty good. Not disappointed

Everyone complains about the connection between the device and their phones. Not me. The connection is not the issue. My issue is, since they have updated the app, I cannot find the Orientation Lock. I can’t figure out how to stop the screen from flipping and spinning every time I move the device. Not sure if the feature has been removed or just hidden.

Works great. It very clear. The tool takes a little time getting used to since you’re looking at a picture and trying to move your hand in a different way. But the app worked great. Love the part that you can record it and look at it again later. Or you can take pictures as you’re digging in your ear

I’ve not been able to lock in my wifi at all!😠 what is the matter what these people? It feels like a good product, it turns on every time and I’ve deleted and reinstalled a number of times but I can’t get the unit to link up!!! 😢🧐. It’s extremely frustrating to purchase this item and not having it link up so I can use it!! What’s the problem with the technical core that can’t make this unit work? Why have several versions if none of them work!! Come on folks get your act together and fix it!!🤨 Racer 6727

Got the C3 bebird to clean my ear. This app can use some better english. But let me tell you, I can't be more thankful. The quality is good enough to see what you are doing, you're not making a hollywood film here lets be honest. Anyways, I always had to go to the doctor to clean my ear out and spend some buck to get it done. Well no more. Thank you for making this!

Everything is very easy and simple to use. The pairing process was fast without any issues. The camera is surprisingly very good quality for how small it is as well as the microphone and the app is very intuitive and easy to use. Overall a great product that does what it is supposed to.

The device itself is awesome. The app is a challenge. Often the camera loses focus. I have to keep backing out and going in again. If you clean the lens with a cotton swab, your picture can become blurry. Use lots of alcohol on the swab and be sure to press it into the lens firmly. A light touch will blur the view. It's hit and miss. Support is non-existent. My emails are not returned nor are my Messenger messages. Won't buy another.

I was a bit scared at first since people were saying they had trouble connecting to it on the wifi. I did run into that problem but the video clearly explained once you download the app, you have to go to settings and connect it to your network. It’s doing me good

First, it worked perfectly first time. Here are the steps I took after installing this app. 1). Charge the otoscope. Takes an hour 2). Turn on the device. (Press end button. Blue light turns on) 3). Go to settings - WiFi and choose the beXXX network. 4). Start up the app. If you start the app before step 3, it tells you to first connect (Step 3) 5) tap the Start button and you will see the round camera image. 6). Tap the screen to see menu choices. Note that you can switch between left and right ear. There are a few more bells n whistles. Just play with it. Apparently you can’t have two WiFi networks active at the same time.

I can see my own ear with otoscope tool that I bought from a local store! Not sure why it says it needs to be connected to WiFi instead of Bluetooth on my phone, but no problem, just confused why connection doesn’t go through Bluetooth.

I have been able to successfully use this app exactly one time! After that, all I get is black screens and disconnections. It will connect to my wi-fi, then nothing works, and then it disconnects itself 😡😡 I will be returning the product back to Touch of Modern, such a waste of money. Touch of Modern normally doesn’t sell crap, but they laid a goose egg on this product. I don’t know how many times I’ve deleted the app and then re-installed it, as suggested to do. It still doesn’t work! Just going to delete it for good! Don’t waste your time even downloading this garbage!!

Unfortunately, even though the Wi-Fi connects correctly, my device is never recognized, and there is no way to connect. the FAQ and other functions do not load when on my regular network and, overall, what was a really useful tool is now unusable. Truly unfortunate. I also don’t care for the fact that you can only login through an Apple login and not by creating your own email account. There isn’t even an option to login that way.

I was worried about setting this up from the other reviews. But I must have lucked out, mine connects through wifi just fine. Had to be sure to keep the connection and not use cellular data, since the phone says it won’t connect to the internet. Very happy with the purchase

App is odd in that it doesn’t clearly identify product choices during setup, but you can easily change later under menu options. I also thot this was Bluetooth but found I had to choose it as a WiFi connection separate from home WiFi. The wand and app work fine once started tho and display on iPad is great.

I have owned the bebird and have had no issues with until today I tried to connect it to clean my ear and it’s now saying that I need a password but I’ve never had to put a password in on the Wi-Fi connection before and I don’t know the password need help please

Don’t buy these products until you see reviews stating there are fixes. I happily used my ear pick 3-4 times over 6-9 months. But today I’m staring at a black screen in the app. I can see options for music, filters, and magnification etc. My ipad air 2 connects to the device’s wifi like it always has but when I open the app and select my device there is no camera image. Based on majority of reviews I’m not alone after the app update. Very disappointing.

I’ve had this for over a year now. Decided to use it tonight. I accidentally put the tip on wrong so it was loose and the tip got lodged in my eardrum. It hurt sooooo bad trying to pry it out with tweezers. I described it as an UNBEARABLE sharp shooting pain all up in my eardrum. It’s been a little over an hour since removal but now the inside of my ear just feels bruised to death. What an UNSAFE product if improper placement occurs. I used to love this when I first got it, but now I never wanna touch it again. No longer recommend this.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. I just connect it to my phone the way it tells me too (turn on the device then go to wifi and connect to the behind WiFi, then go back to the app and it’s all set) and it works great!

This thing worked fine for a couple months, then it did some update and now the app is useless. It is a black screen with no camera. It has music and photo filters for some reason. It does everything BUT what I bought it for, to see in and clean my ears. There appears to be no fix for this, and no reference of the issue on line. The product website is useless as well. Might as well take 40 bucks and flush down the toilet. Same result.

This works off wi-fi, not Bluetooth. It has worked for me EVERY time without fail. My husband uses it to look into engine blocks. It comes with numerous tip replacements. If it doesn’t work you most likely are trying to connect via Bluetooth.

I use this device regularly because I am deaf in one of my ears and it’s very important for me to clean it. the consistent app updates have ruined the device it is unable to connect to the Internet. I cannot use my system which is really infuriating being that I paid so much money for this device and I do need it therefore I am now very dissatisfied it was great in the beginning for the first year after that it’s has been decimated and rendered useless.

I found the App worked very well, connecting to a new R1 Ear scope. NOTE: 1) Turn on the Scope, 2) start the Apple Settings App, then click WiFi. Select the WiFi that is broadcast by the Scope: bebird-R1-x. 3) start the BeBird App. The App is not allowed to change your WiFi settings. The App is not clear in trying to explain that. The scope itself is difficult to navigate. It takes a bit of practice to figure out how to get the image you desire, because it is mirrored. But everything worked. After turning off the Scope, your device automatically goes back to the default WiFi.

This would be a five star review if it weren’t for the fact that this thing will not connect most of the time and you get a no Internet message on an iPhone usually forgetting the device and re-adding it a couple times will work, but now after using this five or six times, it simply will not connect and is useless so the product did not last very long with very gentle use, and the app does not work to connect

It worked great the first 2 days I had it. Was able to connect to the device’s wi-fi and video was smooth. Since then I haven’t been able to get a good connection. It regularly doesn’t connect, or connects for 10 seconds or so at a time before bouncing me back out to the main screen. When it IS connected it stutters and freezes till you get about 1 frame per second which makes it impossible to use. I’ve tried everything. Don’t waste your time or money with this one.

I can connect to the device’s Wi-Fi fine, but the app never detects it. So the app never turns on the video. Not sure if related, but it may be pattern-matching on the Wi-Fi name incorrectly: It looks like it’s looking for “bebird-XXXXXX” (6 digits) but the format of my device (X17 Pro) is actually just “bebird-XXXX” (4 digits). Still, that’s a big fail, so I’m returning the device because I have ZERO time to work on troubleshooting things these days. iOS 17.1, iPhone 15 Pro Max.

I was trying forever to connect through Bluetooth. I was supposed to connect through WiFi. Hahahaha I felt silly for getting so upset. But WiFi quickly connected and I dove into to the dark mysterious tunnels of my ears and scraped out the golden ear wax. Pretty fun experience!

First off, the pen is cool, and I can verify I have clean ear canals. But in the downloading of this App a lot of sketchy stuff happened. I had multiple screens ask for permissions, and before I could respond they went away. Then for the next few days I had a very poorly operating phone, even after deleting the app. Eventually I had to restore my phone from a previous version. I am weary about downloading this app again, just to use its “cool” factor.

I’ve loved this product, but the recent update to “make it easier to use” has made my experience worse. There used to be a way to lock the orientation of the camera, but this feature seems to have been removed. I realize that not everyone liked this mode, but it was the primary way that I used my device. Without this mode, I may have to move to a different maker of ear cleaning devices.

The camera signal disconnects on the video if Bluetooth is on. Turn off Bluetooth and connect to the device on WiFi and it works perfectly. Amazing little piece of technology. The whole family now has clean ears!
