I wasn’t able to find a coach with the right background to help me. Took 1 session and it wanted to cancel. They refunded me for the unused session we I don’t think they technically had to do that was nice.
I’ve been with better help for over a year now and I have no regrets. I’ve been working with Melinda the whole time and I can say I’m not the same person as I was when I first started. She has been an incredible coach who has walked with me through some really hard experiences in my career and has helped me overcome them. Melinda always takes the time to listen to what’s going on and from there she gives insight and helps me navigate what I’m trying to say and my feelings. She is an amazing coach and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone and I’m grateful that BetterUp offers this service!
This app is really helping me to push forward and get to what I want in life - I’ve also been on and off in therapy and while that was also helpful, this is helpful in other ways that help me to really think about my life and what I want from it, I recommend finding a coach you mesh with because it makes all the difference
BetterUp has been completely life changing for me. The app is easy to use and learn in small snippets. I love the assessment and reflection assessments - it’s quite eye opening and easy for my manager to understand me and my needs better. I have been making and squashing goals every single session. All of the coaches are phenomenal but having a sales coach is a compete game changer!
I originally started working with my amazing coach Shruti because my company was going through an acquisition and I wanted to talk through how to progress in the new organization. With Shruit’s help I was able to organize my thoughts around what I wanted in a career and eventually landed another (better and higher paying) gig.
I’ve been using BetterUp for a few years now and it’s completely changed my outlook on life! My coach helps me put challenges in perspective and always asks the right questions to get me out of my own head. Highly recommend to anyone who is ready to make a big leap forward in life!
Mixed review since I had a variety of positive and negative experiences working with the business including the onboarding, payment, support, head or primary coach + all the different specialist(s). A+. Couldn’t login today though and was apparently emailed overnight that I no longer have access to my coaches on BetterUp. I requested to change my plan to the primary coaching only but have yet to hear back. I’ve submitted a review on BBB and tweeted the business about my account via Twitter and did not get a response.
I was struggling starting my new career, but after meeting with my coach I felt like I could handle the transition. My coach is helping me set goals and holding me accountable so I can reach them. Highly recommend this app to anyone who is looking to shift their thinking or is needs the extra push.
Subscriptions are set up to milk users rather than serve users. If you pause your subscription, they auto renew without your consent. You have to cancel by logging in online through their portal. They will not cancel if you request to cancel otherwise. Also, they will charge you for the following cycle after you cancel, even if you do not use their service.
I have been struggling to find a coach who isn’t just trying to be a pseudo-therapist. I really wanted a COACH coach, someone who pushes you and REALLY holds you accountable. That is not what any of their coaches appear to be when you sign up. Its a very Brene Brown-esque “safe space” vibe. Maybe if you're a workaholic with a lot of work stress and perfectionism thats what you need, but when I signed up for a productivity coach that is not what I was expecting and DEFINITELY not what I need.
I get BetterUp through my employee and it’s been so useful to access it from my phone to quickly chat with my coach, schedule a new session, or dive into the content library on my commute
I’m so grateful for my coach. Multiple times in Multiples ways. Highly recommend. If you find a coach that doesn’t feel great — don’t settle — find a new one! It took me a few tries and worth it.
Such a smooth and sleek app experience. My BetterUp app is on page one and have become my lifeline. My favorite part are the micro learnings they offer after each session.
Love the concept, but the app and site have terrible performance issues and bugs. Upon logging in, I cannot ‘skip to home’ to access scheduling. It is a constant loop of trying to load but it never gets past the ‘Explore Coaches” screen. I’ve already selected a coach so why would the app and site default to selecting a coach?! Makes no user. Terrible UX.
Glorified FaceTime app. Web based articles inside that are hard to read and can be paywalled. Awful support. Took me 3 tries to find a coach that spoke English and I had to manually ask to be matched. That coach barely helped with me anything, as he was overworked and had too many other clients from both Betterup, Ezra and their own business. Also it's insanely expensive.

Be aware that when you invest in this app, you are not investing in yourself as they want you to believe, you are investing in them getting very rich to pay themselves and the inept Prince Harry outrageous amounts of money. There is another app of similar name that does a real service and won’t empty your pocketbook.
There is no option to set up an account within the app.... only a “forgot password” link. Thank you to the reviewer who explained why.... Major design flaw....! It’s too bad because this could have been a very useful app.
The coach I met with was not helpful. I don't know how anyone would find this useful. Take it as a sign that this is a money grab... Prince Harry says he uses it? Yeah right. You can get better info from Google searches.
I signed up thinking this was an app someone had recommended to me (I realized later that was an app of a similar name but different). This app is for wannabe influencers. I’m embarrassed to have downloaded it.
Not for white folks. Collection of articles and TED talks in the section of “Navigating Tumultuous World” is littered with anti-white propaganda. Deleting. Can’t trust them do any coaching.
it doesnt say anywhere in the description but this app is only usable if you already have a subscription to their service. boo, waste of time and now i have a dumb app in my account history that i cant use 🙄
No applicable coaches for first time business owners
I’ve been using this app for several weeks now. I still haven’t found a coach. I asked for a code to specializes in helping people set up their first business. I’ve only gotten recommendations for people who don’t talk about business at all or who only seem to work with people who have had decades of years of experience in business. If you are looking for someone to help you navigate all of the regulations and requirements, I don’t think that this is the right service. If it were, it wouldn’t take weeks to find out if that was the case.
