Big Interview

When the iPad is in landscape mode, the videos automatically go full screen. And the playlist scroll area is too narrow to see the titles, but it still let’s you scroll through a playlist within a narrow window that is about half a line wide. The app should give users the option of playing a video at a smaller size so that we can see the playlist at the same time, so we can keep track of which video in the list we are on.

Recording video function works fine for the most part, but when submitting, well, the app refused to submit my presentation. No matter how many times I "successfully" submitted, the presentation would always show up in my active folder instead of my submitted folder. When I opened the app on my laptop (I had already recorded the entire presentation), I repeatedly received a "you must answer all questions before submission" message. In short, the app is awful, the website is not much better. Would not recommend under any circumstances.

I cannot login using my school’s account. On a browser i use a link. Using mobile browser, I cannot view a video playlist at all…portrait or landscape, if you click on learn it just plays the video you were on…for me the first one even though on my computer I had skipped to another. so I thought the app would be better. Can’t even use without personal account. The content and tools of the site are great but not for mobile use at all.

We have chosen to use Big Interview as our consortium’s curriculum for Adult Education in getting our students more prepared for job interviews. The Big Interview program offers many tools and practice opportunities for those who prepare at home or on the go. We have had no complaints with their online services or with the ability of logging on. Students have given us great feedback on their use and success in using this program. The company’s additions and improvements throughout the last few years demonstrates that they are continuing to improve their product for future users. A BIG thank you for their product!! This software/server is one of the most buggy and chaotic platforms I have ever interacted with. Not only does it fail to detect your operating system, the customer support AI chat bot has zero insight into what is actually the issue. And to put the cherry on top whenever I have to submit my online interview their server breaks and now I have a 0/50 in the grade book due to this unbelievably terrible application. I have never written a review on any app before until this. An absolute atrocity.

Yes, really, one star. Hear me out, I’m not trying to be a jerk. This app cannot handle orientation changes on iPad, making it mostly unusable. Just by rotating my device in the hopes of reaching a control (and that shouldn’t be necessary) the video playback shifted slightly out of screen and stayed there, no matter which way I rotated my iPad. The above bug is very reproducible. The app is built around video playback and cannot perform that primary function adequately in any orientation.

Had trouble at first logging in. They gave me a refund and access to the tools for my issues. They were just busy at the time. There is some pretty good stuff but you need to be independently motivated to get into them. If you apply yourself, I’m sure you will be much better at interviewing.

I got told it was my device . But before that I got told it doesn’t work well with iPads , but works better with iPhones. I had it on both devices and I was having issues with them both not working. You app is horrible.

Please give us dark mode on the app. It's annoying always seeing bright lights when app surfing Thanks

I downloaded the app but isn’t working properly I hope you all solve the problems

THIS APP CANNOT EVEN SAVE VIDEO. Every time I press save the app just shut down, what a work of genius. ALSO, its web platform is AWFUL. For app, you can't save video, for web, you can't submit video. Hooray!

I opened it was frozen I uninstalled and reinstall the app and it was just frozen. Also no instructions on what do next. This is crap!

This is going to be first ever review on appstore because it’s literally pissing me off. I took this class that using this platform for an assignment and guess what I wish my teacher knew how bad it is. I tried to upload my videos for practice interview questions and each is less than 1 min (which some of the questions actually need more than that length but I tried to shorten my answer as I knew how long it would take). So obviously it’s not helpful for real life experience at this point. To get it cleared I didn’t wait until the last minutes but it literally took me 5hrs to upload and my internet plan is kinda the best one. Some of my classmates also gotta deal with the probs. Now that I submitted only 9/10 videos. Are you kidding me Big Interview??? The platform looks well developed but what’s up with the video compression? Rather have a friend to practice with me!
