Billo Creator - Go Video

Whenever I had any issues the team always solved them. I just wish there was an option to not be interested in certain campaigns so that those campaigns can be pushed to people that qualify or are interested. Especially when there are ones sitting in there for months. I also don’t think that creators are giving enough time to create especially when/if they have other responsibilities. I don’t think it’s fair that we have to wait an unknown amount of time to receive the product, only to be inconvenienced to rush and produce content, to then have to wait an unknown amount of time for the brand to approve or request edits and finally get paid. All while being threatened by the app’s automatic response to quickly produce content. For example, I was accepted to participate in a campaign almost 3 months ago, the product still hasn’t arrived. The team told me that they haven’t heard anything from them. I get a notification everyday saying it’s overdue. Would this affect my overall rating? Speaking of ratings we should be able to rate the requesters as well. I’ve worked with some companies that were great and others not so much. There should be a cap on how many edits they can get. They are not paying a high quality team, at the rates they are paying, at the rates they are paying one edit should be enough. They should have to pay for more edits.

I just started my UGC journey with my new brand. I wanted a platform that I could start working with brands, and get used to creating videos quickly, and effectively. There are wonderful brands on here. I’ve worked with a few and they’re response rate has been good! Communication over all is good. I would say there was one time I had some confusion, but it all worked out. Over all great app, good experience and happy to be apart of the Billo UGC community. I only have 4/5 stars because you can’t filter by pricing and that’s something that’s important once you start generating videos. Also, some brands ask for a lot in their videos (scripts and more) and offer minimal pay. I think that waters down the market, I wish billo had a pricing plan for the brands so that brands were required to pay out a minimum, especially based on what they required. :)

For one, the majority of their jobs are $25 & $30 for a video, but they charge the client at least $99… the creator is making $25, but Billo is getting at least $74. (You can’t knock the hustle though because creators are constantly signing up, Billo is getting a crazy ROI). Secondly, they are the only platform that allows their hard working creators to be rated. I was brand new, getting a job everyday. I had only been on the app for 20 days and I had 16 jobs already. I was getting 5 star ratings and positive messages, but I got 1 - 4 star rating from a company… I have no idea why. I asked for feedback and they didn’t give it to me. As soon as my overall ratings dipped below 5 stars because of the 4 star rating, I stopped getting jobs all together. That’s wild… My advice is to use other platforms and work with brands on your own through email. Filming and editing can be tedious. You need to be paid at least $150 for that kind of work. If you do use Billo, don’t get stuck on there for too long. Creators really are making hundreds off of 1 video everyday and striking thousand dollar deals with brands on their own. Put in your own work, network, gain experience, and do this without the help of a third party…. Your content is worth more than $30.

When I first started UGC I thought this was a great tool to grow my portfolio. However, after using the app for a couple months now it really favors the client over the creator. You have to give the client unlimited edits (even when they change their mind from the original discussion). The creator has a time limit on when they must have the content done, but the client can wait as long as they want to approve... meaning it could take months to get your money. Lastly, the communication is not great from the team- a client was not happy and even said it was billos fault because they asked me for an edit before it got to the client- they gave me a 1 star review and billo said they could not revoke it even though it was their fault. So my ratings are exponetially lower, hurting my chances since to get any larger deals. All in all, it does seem to be improving, however there are still alot of bugs to get worked out to support the creator. I will continue using it and believe it's an okay app, but I just suggest keeping my above comments in mind when creating.

So I’ve been using Billo for about a month and a half and I love it. I’ve made about $1500 altogether with another few hundred about to pay out at the end of the month. This is a really cool way to make money and start making content for brands. If you’re considering making videos through billo just know that you won’t be approved for every task you apply for. I get approved for around 1 out of every 20 tasks. My only wish is that I’d love more feedback on the videos I make. The only critique you receive is whether it’s within the brief, and I’d love to know a little bit more about how I’m doing. Honestly, making user generated content is becoming a more and more viable full time career option for me and this app really helped reach me the the ropes. Love Billo!

I’m very grateful to be apart of the Billo community and the staff is always so kind and helpful. However, I’ve been using Billo since May and have only been approved for 40 brand task out of 1000+ I’ve applied to. Work is not consistent and unfortunately a lot of the products that I receive are not new. There have been a few times that I’ve received used products. Which tells me that brands are not really interested in gifting their items for creators to use long term. Also, as creators we DO NOT get paid extra for revisions. There have been numerous times where brands have changed their creator brief and have asked me to “film it differently” and create an entirely new video for them without any extra compensation based on the new information added. After using the platform for a few months, I can honestly say Billo priorities the brands rather than the creators.

Billo has allowed me a way to make a living from home and I’m so grateful! I get fairly consistent work and always get top notch customer service. I like it here because I feel like Billo is not just looking out for the buyer- but the seller as well. I always feel like Billo has my back and I’m always happy! I prefer to have Billo take over - I don’t want the hassle of contacting brands just to hope I find work -Billo does that for me. With Billo there is always new jobs uploaded daily from awesome brands. I also like that you don’t need to be an influencer with a large following just to get work. I’m so excited because I will soon become an “experienced creator” and get the opportunity to earn even more money. Thanks Billo

I do not normally review apps but I felt the need to warn others who try to make some extra money. DO NOT USE BILLO! Firstly, good products are far and few between. I try to apply to almost everything and maybe get accepted to 2% of them. Of the products I do get accepted for, billo’s business model is extremely flawed. You will end up having to redo videos over and over again for clients who magically make up new requests after you already shot the video, like “can the creator shoot the video outside now?” Or “I don’t like the shirt they are wearing, please have them change and redo it”. Lastly, like the title states, Billo suspended my account. You have 3 days to post the review. If you do not post in that timeframe, they will deduct the value of the product from your earnings and you will be stuck with the product. They did this to me and suspended my account without warning. I am now stuck with 100’s of dollars worth of product and did not get paid for my other videos

I’m new to UGC and this has been a great learning platform. I’ve made $170 so far and have received some cool products. Brands are really communicative in getting the details they want. You also feel supported by Billo every step of the way. The deadlines have been hard for me since I am just learning and doing this in my spare time. They take the last 5 videos you worked on and give an average of how many times you were “on time”. I recently fell below 50% but I’m hoping to get it back up. I have 5 star reviews from some of the brands so that is nice to see. It’s really fun getting started here. Highly recommend this app for you

Billo would be NOTHING without the creators yet they take advantage of them & don’t pay them enough. 1. Creators only get 5 days to submit content & this timer starts when the mail carrier marks it as delivered. This includes the weekend when Billo doesn’t even work. We never know when the brand will ship the item or when it’ll arrive making it hard to plan. I’ve had items take weeks to arrive & some 2-3 days. So, items can arrive when you’re out of town or sick, but Billo doesn’t care. It’ll be marked late. They also don’t give the option to request an extension even if the brand is ok with it. 2. The brands get great, high-quality video with FULL rights for a tiny amount of money. Value your creators more. Charge extra for full rights. 3. Creators cannot rate brands that order the videos. This should be allowed to help other creators avoid working with terrible clients. 4. You cannot sort tasks from newest to oldest or in any way. You also cannot hide tasks you’re not interested in. Stop taking advantage of the creators who are the only ones keeping Billo afloat. Change the delivery time. Pay us more. Give us options. Start taking care of and valuing the creators.

On my journey of becoming a content creator, I wouldn’t have known the first thing about communicating with or working with brands if it weren’t for Billo! As you’re starting out, Billo provides the perfect platform bridging the gap between creators and brands and takes all of the scariness out of the equation. They teach you how to set up a portfolio, and facilitate communication between creators and brands. I have really enjoyed my time on the app. It took a little while to start getting hired but if you give each project your very best and communicate you’ll quickly start seeing more work!

Definitely love using the app as it’s helped with my creative side. Some brands use generic requests for ads which fulfills what we get paid, but others try to get you to go above and beyond without additional compensation. I believe the payout can be more if the additional requests are being fulfilled. The ratings on videos is a great way to showcase our work and highlight how much we try to showcase our content for the brands we work with. But I definitely wish we could override a few bad reviews for issues that aren’t our fault. I believe some brands are not communicated with the due dates of 5 days, or they ignore them as I have been rushed a few times to try and churn out videos in shorter period of times. The admins have been supportive and there’s plenty of back and forth understanding. I’ve been compensated for going out of my way for some requests. Definitely rate those individuals 10/10. Overall this is a great app because it offers great side income, the admins are awesome, the brands are mostly great to work with.

I’ve created $10k worth of content for this app over the past 8 months. 2 specific times during this, my account has been “frozen” without warning because of not uploading “on time.” Yet, the videos for products I was supposed to be uploading had not even arrived yet. And other times, I have received products that is shows have not even been shipped yet. There is absolutely no consistency and the company itself has very odd specifications and will just in the drop of a hat freeze an account of a top creator. The “customer service” for creators is also very bad. It will take many days to receive and answer to a question that is time sensitive. You’re supposed to upload within 3 days of receiving the product, yet it will take them 5 days to respond. What sense does that make?

My sister referred me to use this app and I’m loving it so far. I make 15,30, or 60 second videos which only take me 1/2hr to 1hr each and I get paid $30 minimum. Easy side hussle and I enjoy trying new products. I’d say to make sure you figure out which video editing software you like (I use a free easy-to use one) before getting started. One thing I wish is that the 5 day countdown to create a video would pause for the weekend so I didn’t have to create content on the weekend. Other than that, I’ve never felt rushed to create a video. It’s fun!

I really love Billo and I think it’s a better platform for creators than a lot of others I’ve tried but as a creator I’m really under paid. I work hard for the videos I create and In the end only make $30 and then have to wait 2 weeks just to get paid what I earned! Not only that but me and multiple people I know have the app and we noticed that different tasks are hidden for certain creators and the same task are being paid less depending on who you are (even if you’re not a pro creator). Pay creators more than $30, show the same tasks to everyone, and pay us all the same!

This is a fantastic App- perfect for full time influencers, content creators, or just for those looking for a side hustle. The App is super smooth and easy to navigate, but if you have any questions the Support Team is so efficient. Any time you need assistance they are super professional and can provide helpful guidance. Only downside is the more creators that join the more competition amongst creators for the products…. But if you apply for new tasks often and do a good job there will always be more tasks to do! I love this App and super happy I’m apart of the Billo community!

I’ve really come to enjoy Billo a lot since joining the platform. I’ve had no issues securing around 20 jobs in the last 3 months of being on there. The jobs obviously pay a bit on the lower side, but it’s a great way to build relationship with brands and add more to your portfolio. It seems like they’ve given more time and grace to creators as well. My only annoyance is out of 20+ videos done, one brand asked for revisions twice and I feel like these brands should maybe have a limit on how much a creator needs to change before the video suffices.

Such fun opportunities to begin and grow in ugc creation! Just applied for premium Billo creator. So excited to see where I go from here! I’ve gotten to work with Sunday Riley which has been a DREAM. Billo has helped me become more confident in content creating as many brands have offered to work with me several times and I’ve improved in editing and filming. The support team is also SO on top of everything and very communicative. The platform seems to care deeply not only about its brands but its content creators as well. :)

There used to be an option to re-upload a video before it was reviewed by a brand and for some reason that was taken away. This is inconvenient as I would sometimes find details that needed to be changed and I could easily do it before the brand reviewed content. Also, 5 days is not a fair amount of time to creat quality content. It’s difficult to plan when there’s no timeline as to when you’ll receive the product. Unfortunately I think this sacrifices quality. The app itself is very easy to use, and there are plenty of tasks to fulfill.

I’ve been doing UGC for a few months now and there are very few apps that offer great deals to growing micro influencers. Billo had a great platform and although some of the product payments aren’t immense. The value of the products themselves and the amount you can quickly obtain from several deals is endless. They also offer premium deals to influencers who are consistently producing. I am still growing with the app but I love it!

You apply for a task, the brand tells you if you’re approved, then there is a countdown for how long you have to complete the task. For a lot of the products I was sent, the countdown would start before I even got the product. If you’re late based on the countdown they will send you message/email over and over again until you send the video. Some of the brand’s instructions would be very confusing or ask for a lot compared to how much would be paid ($20). Then once you send the video in they’ll ask you to edit it with instructions that weren’t in the original instructions.

I started using Billo a couple months ago and have already gotten 3 paid gigs that were very much in alignment with the type of videos I’m passionate about creating. The application process is really simple as well as getting in touch with the brand with any questions you have through messaging. I takes a bit to get paid out and you receive it through PayPal but it’s overall a very seamless process!

I've enjoyed making video commercials for companies through Billo. Anytime I've ever needed some help the employees at Billo have been courteous , encouraging and go above and beyond to be helpful in any situation. Being able to also communicate with Brands when needed has been very helpful. I've learned a lot while being with Billo. If I had any small grievance it would be a little bit better pay . Overall a wonderful experience!

Easy and beginner friendly! The rates aren’t as low as some other creator apps and you get to work with some really legit brands. However, I’ve also worked with some brands who pay very low rates and ask for the most tedious revisions ( even multiple times). 4/5 because I’d like to see Billo add a feature where creators can review brands too. If there are brands that take advantage of creators for their work, they should be reviewed to let others know just as creators should be honestly reviewed.

I have been using this app since July of 2022 and I have really enjoyed it. Customer service has been excellent, especially when a brand is being difficult with their requests and/or revisions. I have even seen an increase in the amount of money you can earn for certain videos (no complaints there). Billo has been a great blessing and I’m excited to see what updates are made in the future.

When I found this app, I knew I struck a money making machine! You get paid for every piece of content you create and they don’t take a dime from you! And they have additional perks to help you make MORE money! They also provide you with feedback and lots of opportunity to land a brand deal! And the application process is SUPER easy! This has to be one of the best gigs or additions to a Content Creator’s income! THANK YOU, BILLO!

I have content creating with the app for several months, everyone is so kind, helpful, understanding, & great to work with. It’s been a great side gig and extra income that is flexible. I also appreciate that they are very communicative & always looks to improve the app and the services and products. I’ve had a really great experience & they are improving it daily - also love most of products & brands I’ve been able to work with.

I think i like the app, just because it is a good side gig for extra money. my problem with it is, it’s very buggy. when i click to try to “i want this task,” it takes a couple delayed seconds to load, not only that but when i do get some tasks, i won’t even have the product and they expect me to film with it. since there’s a time limit to do the ad, it’s very frustrating because i lose the chance to earn money, since i don’t have a products yet and won’t have the videos done on time.

Terrible app if you’re a UCG creator. The brands have all the power. They can be delayed in shipping but you can’t get extensions for jobs if something comes up or you’re out of town. Brands put one description on the job but give you poor reviews for something totally different without giving you a chance to fix it. The customer service doesn’t care about you as a creator it’s all about the brand. When I’ve messaged them they take hours to respond. When things are good the app is fine but when you have issues with brands it’s not. I won’t be using it anymore there’s way more UCG options out there than this.

I’ve been on Billo for over a year now. It’s so easy to rack up on products/tasks and make a nice supplemental income. If you have the time to actually record ads. Work smarter rather than harder. I bulk record for different products in one sitting. Then I have my edit days. This helps me from getting overwhelmed once the products start coming in. Stick to it and it could pay off.

I just recently used this app, and you could make more working at McDonald's for an hour than you could making videos on here. They except top tier videos, where you'll Drive to different locations and get different shots. I have an iPhone 13 and they said the camera quality wasn’t good enough. So they expect you to have pro equipment and they pay you $30 for any and all assignments. Which could take hours to do. DO Not get this this app. You will waste your time and the staff Are Not on your side. I'm usually super chill and won't say anything,but I don't want anyone else getting caught up in their scheme. It's a con at best.

I’ve been using the Billo app for a couple months and it has been so fun creating ugc’s for companies! I get to be creative and also receive free products on top of getting paid for short 15-60 second videos. Every day I go through the listings and choose which ones to apply for. It’s been steady work that earns me decent $$ for the time spent! 5 stars!

This app helps create such a fun experience! I was suggested to try Billo out from a friend, and since I started; I have loved every moment of it! Not only is the Billo team so kind and supportive, but so are all the companies on the app as well! You have the opportunity to try out products for free, and get creative with them! I highly recommend this app to anyone considering trying out UGC work!

Pros: It is a way to make some money on the side. Can be for beginners learning to create content. Cons: It’s not consistent work, as you have to be approved for the task. They count the weekend as your five day period to get the task done. Even tho they don’t work on the weekend, they expect you to. They take over 24 hours to get back to you, which in some instances.. is too long. The payouts are not consistent. It’s 2x a month. But some months you’ll get paid out on the 13th and some months it won’t be til the 17th. Like I make plans for this money that I make. So I wish the payout dates were consistent. Grateful for this app, however. I am a stay at home mom, by choice, and this helps me pay my phone bill and buy some thing’s I or my kids need.

I’ve been using this app since March and I love using it to make a little extra cash. I do think the payouts should be a bit higher as you are paid between $25-$30 per video and brands are using that however and for how long they want but over all it’s a good app. Easy to use, easy to get accepted to tasks, & easy to communicate with brands & Billo team if any issues arise.

Overall I think is a great experience and opportunity to be able to practice and make some content. You get rewarded for your time which is cool. However on my second task that I was given my time was reset on my task and I thought it was odd but I just went with the time given and app started saying that I was late uploading and now I have a late delivery average.

I must say I am loving Billo so far and I am having great success with both the brands and with Billo. For those who may be struggling, only apply for task that you know you are capable of doing. This will save a lot of reshooting and fixing to your uploaded videos. The Billo staff is also very friendly and uplifting. They truly do have your best interest and they will surely motivate you along the journey of completing task! Thank you Billo! 😊❤️

This app gives you 5 days to complete a video. That is tight, but fine. Until you get super sick in the middle of a project and they won’t grant you any exceptions. Beware this will significantly impact your on time score and eliminate any bonuses you would otherwise be entitled for. There is also no way to rate the brands. Some of them have NO idea what they’re doing or what they want, or what is realistic. If they rate you for something completely out of your control, creators should be able to respond (like a yelp review). It would also be great is the customer service was better. They should put together a focus group of creators to brainstorm ideas to improve it on both ends. For now I would go with other apps like Insense to create UGC - they are way better and more client centric.

If you’re new to UGC or experienced this app is great! The brands are really fabulous. I’ve worked with so many in the last almost two years I’ve been on here. I was able to really build my portfolio. Also, the products you get are awesome and some of my favorite things are products I’ve been turned on to my doing videos of them.

If you’re into content and being on camera.. and want to make a little extra money, I highly recommend Billo! They arrange everything between the creators and brands so all you have to do (as a creator) is film your content when you are approved for a task! I’ve gotten to try so many amazing products and I’ve made almost $1,000 on this app!

Don’t even bother wasting your time. I downloaded the app and followed everything and got approved but the app out of nowhere stopped working. It won’t even let me login. What a waste of time to go through all that. You guys have too much you need to work on to improve the app. Incredibly annoying….. 🙄 Also nobody will help you. They say they will response within a day but doesn’t… Update: it started working but it’s been weeks i applied to at least 100 items and got approved for NONE! truly a waste of time. i would give it 5 negative stars if there’s that option here.

I was so nervous and skeptical at first but it turns out with this app is a awesome experience I know it’s so weird but this app makes me feel like I’m a celebrity kind of the fact that I get to record amazing commercials and edit them and get paid for them and get to keep the product I hope that I get to continue to work with Billo

So many great learning experiences and great customer service. I wish Billo didn’t give up full rights to your video for such a small amount of money. I understand they have the three day auto accept, but a company can come back and request changes in a week or even more. Making it hard to plan accordingly to redo an entire video in 2 days from the request.

Your proactive approach to addressing feedback and making improvements bodes well for the continued success and user satisfaction with your content creator app. Thank you for being responsive to user input and dedicated to enhancing the user experience. I love Billo because as a SAHM I am able to make an extra income with something that I truly enjoy 😍

The bugs within the app and the sometimes invalid instructions provided within the Tasks make creating content much more frustrating than being able to connect directly with the brands that you’re making videos for. If you have the skills to pitch your services directly to companies, I highly recommend doing that compared to working in a software system that needs a lot of improvement.

I’ve been working with Billo for over a year now and I am so grateful to have them. Everyone that works for the company is very understanding of your time. Working with Billo has given me the independence to work around my ever changing schedule. I highly recommend it to anyone that needs flexibility in their work.

Recently brands have been selecting the lower tier “360” options for content which pay the creator a much lower rate — but then the brands will request specific types of content that they’re supposed to pay more for. Creators are making less money and being taken advantage of because of this issue and it’s only getting worse. I barely sign up for tasks anymore because they’re all fake 360 tasks that actually want you to do a lot more.

Really am enjoying this app! Always work coming in, all the clients are friendly and nice. The only suggestion I would make is some videos take a little bit before getting approval. Some go through right away and some can take a week. Overall, I’m loving my experience on Billo!!

This app truly allows you to create your own content based off the product or service they are offering. It allows you to bring your authenticity to your content, helping you to become a skilled content creator. It’s been helping me and still is helping me out.

I’ve been using this app for several months now and so far I am still enjoying all its features especially the accessibility to different clients. I appreciate how they continuously update the app for a better experience. Their customer service is amazing and very professional.
