I have to close and reopen this app too often to get the new calls to load. The filters do not update unless you close and recon the app. The transcriptions and summaries are not on the app either. That’s a huge miss as I primarily use the app at my desk while using my computer for other tasks. It’s easier to add notes using talk to text on the app rather than typing on the computer. Also, you should allow users to edit the name of the caller like you can from the timeline on the desktop.
First I have to say, I hate leaving bad reviews - but this one really deserves it. The fact that I’m paying for a text capability (it will send a caller a text if I’m unable to answer), and I can ONLY view and reply to these texts on a phone app….is pretty disappointing. Add to the fact that every few weeks it’ll log me out, not allow me to log back in unless I go through an entire password reset process - and still at times I have to fully uninstall and reinstall the app…really? I seriously don’t understand why this hasn’t been addressed in the year I’ve been using callrail - and even more so don’t understand why accessing these messages to respond to them on my COMPUTER isn’t an option yet. Oh, and the notifications almost never pop up. Already checked all the settings - EVERYTHING is on, but nothing pops up. So I have to constantly check my app obsessively (if it’s working) like a 13 year old hoping for a text from his girlfriend. I wish this would just be added as a feature to the computer log in cause the app seems to be a lost cause (and super inconvenient to have to text a reply on my phone rather than just type it out in my computer where I’m already working).
Callrail changed their plans and with every change and up in price, the worse the service gets. I’ve been a client for years and it’s going down hill. I was told I’m still able to text through the app and that’s a lie. I have the newest version and the text icon just takes me to a bad URL. I’ve been asking and sending support messages for over a year and no changes. I technically pay for texting so it’s a bit concerning when I lose hundreds of thousands of dollars from missing text messages and no way to respond back.
I just downloaded the app, it’s been helpful thus far. One small suggestion, it would be helpful if when listening to calls you could drag along the time line rather than having to listen to the whole call.
I have canceled my account with them 4 times over the past year they still keep with drawing money out of my account every month I have called I. Multiple times and have been told oh we will get back with you and never hear another thing till I see that they have pulled more money out of my account over $450 over the past year I would never use them again or recommend them for that.
Long history of poor reviews and extremely limited functionality. With power of modern phones, could replicate desktop experience or likely improve on it. If I can persuade my company to leave the platform I will. Their updates to the desktop platform are clumsy and overall poor GUI.
Callrail app isn’t as good as it used to be. Calls and texts do not show up in feed right away, even after closing and opening app, I only see activities from days ago 😏
I have been a CR customer for many years and the “old app” has worked great with a few small hiccups. Since I updated this last update, I can’t “refresh” the app without killing it and restarting it. Kinda annoying…
The text messaging service is not worth the ridiculous new price. The current app doesn’t even display my new messages, I need to log on in a browser to view them.
If I could give this app 0 stars then I would. Worst call tracking company ever. The app malfunctions, calls drop, and the over all service is terrible. I do not recommend this company or app to anyone.
They changed their two factor authentication system. So no users with 2fa can log in. In order to login their awful useless support team offers to reset password and it still not letting users to log in. Im dealing with them already for a second week. Do not use them. Find another more reliable call tracing software.
This app could be so much better. It really needs a VOIP feature like the browser option on desktop. If incoming calls were routed through the app like Facebook messenger, it would allow for more data to pass through. The home screen could show all of the stored details for the contact and not just a tracking number or customer number. The app is also unstable and is frustrating to use. Dialing numbers sometimes doesn’t work and seems to call the wrong person a lot. There’s also not a click to dial on numbers unless they called first. For call flows, there needs to be a way to route based on tags. This would be simple to implement. Also the ability to take a number with an agent so that call is always routed to the specific agent but it can manually be changed later. This along with API access to change it from another program would be golden.
Why does this friggin app make me sign in every single flippin day?!?! So annoying and a waste of time. And no option for finger scan log in so that’s awesome. So now that I’m finally logged in there’s not enough room on this page to list the improvements that could be made. Biggest other complaint aside from log in issue, if using the search feature it won’t find anything in the body of a text, you can only search for sender. So if you forgot who sent you a text message but you know a key term you were discussing, too bad, good luck scrolling through a million messages to find what you’re looking for. Many other issues but I don’t have time to write them all. Have to go relog in to CallRail app.
I’m on the go 12-16 hours a day. I have advertising running in multiple areas each using different formats. I use different numbers for each of my advertising campaigns via callrail which is why I use callrail. The app is okay to see who is calling or who called or answering if someone is busy in the office. I can also call a customer from my cell phone and it looks like to them I’m calling them from my office. However I cannot see any reports or change any of my numbers which is to me a complete failure on their part. How hard would it be to add this functionality?
I wish there was a way to search phone numbers by name or number like you can on the website. It is also very difficult to copy and paste phone numbers within the app. There is no ability to search specific phone calls by number or name. You can only search text messages in the app.
This App is getting worse. In this latest version it log off constantly, which is a pain because you have to quickly return a missed call and again login and set up the dialer. It still doesn’t allow to text from a caller or call from a number a text; doesn’t allow to see all the communication chain with that particular lead. I have formally raised those needs months ago... I don’t feel they listen to the customer at all! It is more frustrating for me because I am an Engineer and now those are simple requests and should not be a big deal to implement :(
Drawback is I cant call again numbers I dialed before. I either have to redial or find incoming call. Would be better if calls history, recordings and messages were at the same log. Also not being able record outbound calls is huge disadvantage too. Big room to improve this app. Otherwise I love it
This app is almost there. The text message notifications don’t always show up in the Notification Center. There is a little delay on phone calls sometimes. If the developers Improved the interface of the mobile app it would be a lot better.
Way better than google voice. Allowing multiple lines and direct call tracking. However the call history logs should be improved within the app. It’s hard to go back and see who you’ve called etc.
The app is not working I put the email and password it says “oops you do not have access” and when I tried to call the customer service to get help they put me on hold for 5 minutes and when they came back they said let me take down your name, number and the issue you’re having and never heard back from them. NEVER AGAIN! Until someone help fix this
Ok, so would love to use this app but it’s pretty tricky on iPad Pro when you’ve got your keyboard up and running and then you pull this app up and the entire thing is sideways. There’s literally no landscape view. Please fix and I’d give this 5 stars!
This app constantly logs you out and when I put in the right password it won’t let me log in sometimes. And the worst part is that it does not notify you when you get texts. You have to constantly check to see if someone texted you back. Idk why my team uses this crap
The tracking/analytics of phone numbers and customers is excellent. But the app needs work. We have to log in and out constantly as well as delete and re install because it says there’s an error when logging in. It’s only an issue when I have to call someone right back and can’t because I can’t log in.
This app does pretty much everything you need except the text messages don’t refresh! You get a notification that a customer has texted you and you literally have to double tap your home button, close the app and go back into it in order to see the new text message. Get it together Call Rail!
Call rail is being used by a lot of small businesses. As an investor in the realestate world this app should be improved it has potential but there are days when it lets you down cause it keeps crashing or the screen would just turn white. Please improve that app.
I agree with others, the app could be more robust. That said it is a great service, and the app isn’t half bad. The only peeve I have is having to sign in every-time. Not a huge issue, but would be nice if I didn’t have to. Like a “keep me signed in” option would save my sanity Don’t let that stop you from using the app, it’s definitely worth having.
Still cannot copy and paste after update. It’s 2019. Get it together back there. I want to be able to copy phone numbers from people who call and paste into the text screen to message that number back. Can’t do it here but I could on my iPhone in 2009.
It would be a solid app of when you added a client to your callrail account it updated the app reflecting that - since it doesnt the app is pretty useless because most of my clients are inaccessible from the menu
At least get this part down right. I want to be able to look up a call that was made today not 1 week ago and back. CallRail is awesome but this mobile version isn’t.
Sometimes screen gets stuck in a call. Lots of little UI quirks that could easily be addressed if they did a simple round of user testing. I’ve mentioned these issues to CallRail tech support and they didn’t seem to even care.
They’ve updated 3X and I’m now on version 4.0.8 and it still doesn’t work. This is incredibly frustrating! I’ve submitted multiple help Tickets and nothing is being done to fix the issue.
The app is essential for this product. The app lacks in so many ways it’s not worth listing. Use it to sms someone for 10 minutes and you’ll lose your mind. Please fix guys
At first entry into the app it requires a email and password to login. I've never used it before so it refuses to accept the email or password I enter to login, and there isn't an option to register.
