Impressive and convenient

The Car Connect app is impressive. It was easy to add my car to the garage, and I appreciate that there is a demo version so users can explore before they decide to add their car. The car status section is helpful, with more cars having a monitor in it with the details such as battery life, oil, and tire pressure; it is nice to have an app that you can get before you leave your home. Settings menu is easy to access, not to many functions to view which is nice because too much information can be overwhelming for a user. The drive mode was the best part, with having all the features such as radio, maps, and phone in one place makes it convenient to do multiple things within one app.

*UPDATE* Doesn’t seem to work at all

SECOND UPDATE I was contacted a second time by email Mansplaining to me how it should work and telling me basically well the Ford focus will only work in Europe. OK well fine then then explain that in the app. Why not explain while the other two vehicles will not work in the US? Completely failed to address that problem. Only wanted to address the one thing they could actually sold. Come on! Why not actually try to fix the app? This is pathetic. I would go negative stars if I was allowed. Three different vehicles 2014 Buick Regal 2017 Ford Focus 2021 Ford Escape Doesn’t work for any of them although app says they’re all compatible. ***I was contacted and I’d take that last step away if I could. This app LITERALLY has a list to search for car compatibility… why the heck do I need to contact you (the developer)? I will NOT fill out your form so you can have allllllll my information… No. just no. Please refer back to YOUR OWN APP…. That section where you can check for the year, make, and model of these vehicles (you’ll find they’re all there) says the app should work… it doesn’t.

Revolutionizing My Drive!

Between the aesthetics, setup process, and ease of use, overall, my experience with the Car Sync app has been phenomenal! My favorite feature thus far is the all-in-one screen with music, GPS, phone, and weather. Generally, you would have to scroll through a multitude of apps to even use half of these features while driving, mind you. The impressive part of it is that now I have the ability to track my vehicle’s maintenance all in one app. No longer will I have to wait until I physically get into my car to know when it’s time for an oil change or how much gas I have!

Unique

When I initially downloaded it, I couldn’t see much of a difference between this app and the FordPass app I already have. After adding my expedition and playing around for a bit I found some features that aren’t available in FordPass. The driving mode is what I like the most and the feature I found most unique. Specifically the radio. Being from a rural area we don’t have a lot of options when it comes to stations. XM radio is subscription based and honestly not worth it. I explored the stations for about half an hour and I absolutely love this feature.

1 Stop Solution

This app reminded me a lot of my Hyundai app that already came with my vehicle. But if I didn’t already have a very similar app specific to my vehicle, I would say that this app is an absolute game-changer for car owners. This app is a one-stop solution for all your car-related needs. I can easily monitor my car's health, track fuel consumption, unlock/lock, receive maintenance reminders, and navigate me anywhere. It's like having a personal car assistant right at my fingertips. Highly recommended for all car enthusiasts!

Love It

The best technology is current. I adore that Car Play Sync & Connect app securely stores all of my car's information. I recently purchased a Mercedes, and it only took a few minutes for my car to be connected to the app and begin receiving all of its capabilities. I can open my car, manage the audio, and even get a warning if the engine shuts off suddenly. It took no time at all to add my car to the garage. The app's functionality in drive mode is incredible. I genuinely love this app!

DONT BUY

If I could I’d put a zero star. I just downloaded this app and paid the subscription because the app said my vehicle was compatible I paid the full year and now it’s telling me to pay the subscription at jeep to be able to work if I can just use jeep why would I need your app that makes absolutely no sense so I paid $50 for you to tell me to use jeep I want a refund immediately or I’ll report your app. Guys please don’t use this app the 5 start ratings are probably bots because who designs an app that just tells you to subscribe to another app just tell me it’s not compatible and that’s it no harm no foul but your app makes you think it’s all good and when you pay the app says something totally different

Nice

What I like the most is the lock and unlock features. It's very helpful to see the engine oil life and actual tire pressure because you can't see that information on my car due to the manufacturer locking up my info when I need maintenance or maybe I just dont know how to get into it. It's still annoying. I like the lock and unlock feature because even tho my car is 4 years old, I somehow get the key locked in it. I am tired of calling the police to get it out

Scam

This app is a scam. You pay to get absolutely nothing that doesn’t already come as a basic thing on your phone. Navigation is just google maps, phone is just your phone in different format, music is just Apple Music. No option to actually sync your car to your phone. All I was able to do was manually add my Cadillac to the app and then nothing. Absolutely NO options but to remove car, read about app bull crap or contact them. Also to be in demo or driving mode with does nothing but but your basic phone apps on one screen, which has nothing to do with car that is supposed to be linked but can’t link because there isn’t even an option to link a vehicle.

A bit misleading

I needed a way to connect my tablet to the screen in my car since CarPlay is not supported on iPad, and this does not do it. Please tell me how to process a refund. I have literally had this app for four minutes, it will not work and I paid annually because I assumed it would work the way I need. Thank you very much. i’m sure it’s a great app in the right place, so I’m not going to torch you with a crappy star rating, but I would appreciate an immediate refund

Lots of features

It is very easy to pick my vehicle and add information. I like the lock/unlock feature incase I can’t find my keys right away. The temperature inside and outside the vehicle is my favorite feature because it is very helpful when you have little kids or babies. Some of the features like tire pressure are already in my vehicle and I get a month email with that information, but I have access to them right away with this app.

Doesn’t work the way you want it

In order to actually use the app, you need to be logged into your dealership app. Example: I have a Toyota vehicle, I can’t set up a Toyota account because I bought my car from a dealership and not the actual Toyota dealership, so it can’t connect to all the nice features the Toyota app offers. I expected this app to just Bluetooth my car and sync with it when I clicked on “connect smart connectivity” once I bought the monthly plan it told me to log into my Toyota app, which is useless in my situation and if I had the app I wouldn’t need this app. Hopefully apple gives me a refund bc if you’re in my shoes with your ride, don’t purchase this.

COMPLETE SCAM!!!!

I can’t believe the audacity of this app!!!! I should’ve read the reviews first but I didn’t and that’s my fault but the fact that you have to actually buy the subscription to be able to access any information about it and to see if your car is even compatible is absolutely absurd!!! My car is compatible and it still doesn’t work at all!!! Literally shows nothing and does nothing on my car!!! I can’t believe this app is still available for purchase and the developer hasn’t been shut down yet! I will definitely be reporting this app and developers because this is unacceptable and is the biggest scam I’ve ever seen!

Fleeceware

Pretty sure this is fleeceware and they are out to take your money. Very suspicious how there are two different identical looking websites for bloomup and makename with some really weird wording on the websites. And for being 4.7 there are a lot of negative written reviews, I feel like the reviews have been padded. For being a company that is supposedly focused on UX and has great attention to detail, their app doesn’t give you much instruction on how to connect it to your car unless you pay a monthly subscription fee or hefty lifetime payment. Just stick to the app provided by the manufacturer and don’t waste your money here. If you were scammed report them to Apple.

I love this app!

The connection for my BMW was so smooth and easy. I love the app dashboard because it simple and easy to read. It’s more helpful to see the tire pressure and the engine oil. It was so easy for me to use and has made using my car a lot easier since I’m always on my phone. A few times I forgot my keys and this app has saved me. It quickly became a tool for managing my car and it’s also provides full data I need to check before driving.

Does NOT work with Ram, and probably all Chrysler

Only the very basics of this app function in my Ram. When I try to set up “smart connectivity“, the app defaults to the old UConnect app that Chrysler has dropped over two years ago. For the Ram line of vehicles a new app called Ram, in conjunction with SiriusXM Guardian is what Chrysler uses. This app is not compatible with either account, meaning, it is impossible to set up “smart connectivity”, making the app pretty useless. I emailed the developer of this app asking when they were going to upgrade the app to make a compatible, but never got a response. I requested a refund and deleted the app.

Not compatible

I’m sure this app works and is great for some people but it’s completely useless for me and some others. It’s really disappointing that you make us pay for it before we can even see if our car is compatible. It kind of feels like you’re scamming us. You should really invest in making at least a 5 day trial run so when you’re app doesn’t even give us the option to connect to the car we can just cancel it and move on. Thanks for wasting my money and I hope it does you some good because it didn’t do me any.

If one were to gain access to one’s personal information without one’s permission , this app, in mt opinion based on the reviews, would give above and beyond the police access to one’s vehicle. One would gain remote access by default while the registered owner is being navigated through “corn fields and unknown areas during “high alert” weather. When the app is smarter than the owner; one might dean one’s self Big Brother in Orwell’s 1984 with malice and full intent to do harm. My opinions also bias after identity theft, 4 stolen registrations, car keys and insurance information.

Deceiving.

The list of “available” vehicles is totally deceiving. I chose my 2024 Alfa Romeo — a brand new car — and was immediately forced to pay either a monthly of lifetime fee before continuing, not knowing that MY CAR WAS NOT EVEN SUPPORTED BY THE APP. It’s quite deceiving to list vehicles that don’t work with your technology. Anyhow, at least their Support was quick/honest to let me know this so that I could cancel and move on. Highly recommend that you ascertain whether or not your car works with this app before plunking down money for them — maybe on Reddit?

Does not work, no instructions

“Update” contacted support. Still not worth the money, shows less data than the factory app shows. Still gives error message. Save your money, don’t bother with this app if you have a Hyundai. I have a 2023 venue. The all connected to my car. But is is saying, the following. Your car was connected successfully. However, we require additional permissions to access it data. And it does not give me any instructions on what to do to fix this issue. Completely useless app with no support.

By sheer accident, I stumbled upon this app, and it turned out to be a fortune discovery. It has exceeded my expectations! Features are good, the app provides seemless experience No regrets here, and I highly recommend giving it a try! It seems a reliable and efficient solution for my Ford 🚘

Disappointed

App doesn’t provide any information or features not already accessible from the Nissan Connect app. In fact, it prompted me to login to the connect app to verify ownership or something. Since I’m already paying $14/mo for the Nissan app, it’s pointless to pay double. I have both a Rogue and a Pathfinder and the app kept adding the Rogue multiple times. From the description, it sounded like the “dashboard” would display using the CarPlay app and in-vehicle display. I’m glad I only paid for 1 month!

Apple Car Play just stopped working.

I’m disappointed and I want a refund for the membership. Initially the app works fine but lately, it disappears from my IPhone and Kia. I thought the app was updated with a new version. But, after reinstalling, it asked me to pay a membership to move forward. I didn’t like to pay the $50 but I did to get it going. It kept on asking me for more information and configuration. Why?? I’m deciding not to use it and find another easy application to use.

Not even worth half a star

This is some kind of elaborate scam with bot-generated positive reviews. I was curious to see what this would do for me and the incredibly high star rating coupled with not being able to even try basic features without paying were huge red flags that I stupidly ignored. I hope this is what you needed to read to get you OFF to fence that is considering this trap it saves you the time and effort I’m going to have to go through to get my money returned.

Completely bogus / Ripoff

No where during the setup process does it say you need to have an already existing subscription to use this app. I thought all I would have to do was pay the 50 bucks, then the app would connect to and work with my Toyota Tacoma. But no. I have to pay the 50 bucks for the app, PLUS have an active Toyota subscription at 80 bucks a year to use the apps services. I should have known 50 bucks one time purchase was too good to be true.

This literally is the biggest scam out there. Its literally the same thing as mychevy app but you still need a subscription from onstar in order to even use this app: it then makes you think your getting a trial upon sign up and it doesn’t even tell you right away that u need to have the onstar before you sign up. Then it runs your card 2 days later

Unusable, crashes constantly

I have tried deleting and reinstalling but this app simply doesn’t work on iOS 17. Try to play music and instant crash back to the Home Screen. Try to navigate and boom, crash back to the Home Screen. I really wanted something like CarPlay but that uses the phone’s screen instead of the car’s but this $50 app (wasn’t able to do any trial) isn’t it. I have requested a refund and hopefully it will be approved.

App is data-mining everything..

First off - this type of app only needs to connect between your car and phone app “locally” to visualize data your vehicle sensors provide on the app… that being said… I suggest digging in a little deeper… They are continuously collecting everything that the app can touch.. as soon as it hits your phone app, next hop - public network.. whether they hide the identity of your data or not… if they collect any data other than whats needed to keep existing core app functions.. functioning…they are monetizing on that information…. Because they can…. Users should be paid to keep these type of apps installed and running in their phone….but no one cares…

2024 Mazda cx5 Signature turbo

I love the way the car drives. Dash readout and controls are far to complicated and manual is almost useless. ( do I really need six ways to set up dash readout). Manual contains too much information that doesn’t pertain to my car. It seems Mazda may have combined manuals for European, Japanese, and USA versions of the car into one manual. It is ridiculously difficult to use. I am hoping I can find more useful instructions on the internet. I will try try the My Mazda app but it doesn’t look encouraging so far. Again, fuel mileage is poor vs competition and I like the way the car drives.

Not a good service

It will not sync to my phone I tried to cancel the subscription but the subscription is no where in my apple subscriptions I even contacted them via email and it just keep sending me auto emails on how to cancel this is the worst app ever I am very very disappointed and very upset that purchased this and I can’t get my money back so please don’t waste your time with this app

Looks can be deceiving

It looked very nice and had my interest until the ridiculous monthly use charge of $25 was revealed. The five star rating took a rapid and terminal plunge to one star history. Maybe I missed some special feature but I will never pay anywhere near the monthly charge to park my virtual vehicles in this virtual garage for real money. Do you accept Monopoly money or do I virtually go to jail and not pass “Go”.

No response from a human

I was stuck in the make a purchase to see what it was and it turns out to not be anything close to what I was looking for. Approx 10 min after looking at app O asked for a refund and I have been stuck in a loop with an auto email telling me to go to Apple subscriptions and there is nothing for me to select. I would like a human to email me and contact me

Not what I expected

I expected I could turn on my car or open doors and close them but none of that only control the radio, location, phone and I can do that with the car itself not worth $15 a month for something you’re car can already do.

Audi Q4 etron

Does not even login - obscure error message. I am able to login on the myAudi app with the correct credentials. Update: my apps are up to date both myAUDI as yours - am afraid I have to agree with the many reviewers that have issues with this application. To the developer, please address the real issues mentioned and not refer it back to the end user. The feedback is real!

2018 BMW 320i

I checked my cars capability and it says it does but I’m scared to buy and it not show what it shows on the screen shots for the app. I hit demo mode and it does nothing. Can someone who has tried it on a 2018 BMW 320i kindly let me know if it’s worth it. So many mixed reviews.

Does not work in US

I tried setting this up for a 2023 Subaru ascent and the app does nothing at all. Yeah it turns my phone into “car mode” which isn’t any help at all since this car has navigation installed. This was a gigantic waste of $53. The description doesn’t seem to address that it doesn’t work in the US.

Car Sync

This app is not good, in my opinion. What I was wanting was to be able to turn my car on to let it warm up, but it didn’t do that and all the app did was show my vehicle. Plus you can’t go in the app and cancel your subscription which is also poor design. I wanted to like the app, but unfortunately, I did not.

Took my money and doesn’t work for Honda

This app took my money and isn’t even compatible with Honda! There is NO option to see the list of vehicles prior to buying in… so their previous reply to someone else’s review is a load of crap! I’ve never left a review but felt the need to warn others to shop elsewhere! Wasted my $20 for nothing!

Doesn’t work for my car

Non- refundable/no exceptions

Please note that this app if purchased is non refundable whether you can use it or not. I paid and Apple acknowledged I paid but can not access it bc it keeps telling me to subscribe and pay again . I guess it would be nice to be able to use it and my 2021 Dodge Challenger RT is compatible.

Waste of Money

You have to buy a Subscription to find out if the App will work with your Vehicle. Much to my surprise Subaru, though the safest Vehicle with the highest resale value has zero compatibility and my Dodge grand Caravan is the one exception to their Coverage. A total Rip-Off. I want my money back but Contact Us in the App does not conveniently work.

Does not work

I had to pay 15 bucks to see if it would work with my car because they don't allow you to try it first. I does not work with my Mercedes EQA 350. I have requested a full refund and the response is pure silence... Really immoral company. Will never buy anything from them again.

Does absolutely NOTHING

So…. I paid $20 for an app that all it does is shows a picture of a car like mine??? My car was in the list, but it doesn’t show ANY of the details shown in the screenshots on the app listing. Buyer beware as others have said. Wish I’d read the reviews before buying!!

Absolutely terrible

All I want to do is have my music and gps play through the screen on my car, abs I can’t do that without paying for a subscription. It’s a basic thing. I can see having other features as a paid service but not that.
