As a company CMP is just bad. They do not keep up with their infrastructure and ensure tree limbs are kept away from the lines so the power goes out every time the wind blows or the snow and ice falls or any combo of the two. CMP, which is owned by a multi-billion dollar parent company, then cries to the PUC about the cost to repair all their equipment and maintain their payroll (as their workers recently received a massive bump in pay) so they can keep their very healthy bottom line. Thus, the cost is passed on to the customer. This app on the other hand is simply great. Very easy to use and simple enough to navigate on mobile devices. The power outage map and list is especially helpful since that is one of the aforementioned problems the company has. They’re not great at delivering power but they seem to be pretty good at letting their customers know how long they’ll be without power and how much their bill is every month. Which, went up again for the second year in a row because of wind and snow damage to CMP equipment last year. It all comes full circle.
The CMP app allows me to access all things pertinent to any CMP customer. Pay your bill. Report an outage. Access up to date outage information. Phone numbers for contacting for support and billing issues. Get the CMP app and get up to date usage information from your smart meter. Set power consumption goals. Get the app!
Wrote the below review before figuring out thAt my VPN was interfering with the loading of outage list. Strange, since outrage map displayed normally. Outrage list appeared normally after uninstalling free VPN 4.1.1.1. The list of current outages is not available on the app or through the web site. Unfortunate loss considering Hurricane Lee is passing Maine today and their are already reports of outages. Out map is visible, but isn’t as useful as list of outages by county, town and street
In the past regarding billing or finding my ID number clearly on my billing, I prefer a person rather than an email or a chat. The representatives are always well informed and have helped me tremendously deciding to stay with standard supply or to venture out. Now that my power has been out since 9 o’clock last night, it would be nice to have better updates on the app.
I remember seeing something when I downloaded and started using this about being able to see information about energy usage and time of day and things like that. Like the smart meter statistics so I could track how much energy I use when I’m not home and where most of my energy is being consumed, but it doesn’t seem to be a part of the app. Otherwise it works fine for paying your bill. That’s about the only useful feature.
App is decent for just viewing statement info but is a Royal pain when trying to use a credit card to pay (I like to pay for bills with my rewards credit card). It brings you to a website and more often than not, the website experiences an error. It’s almost as if they purposely do this so you have to enter your checking account info and/or go on auto pay- which is NEVER a good idea for CMP. Please make the app better with better paying functionality!
Easy to pay, just seconds and done without the anxiety of auto pay(is there enough in there?) Also love the information I get of the power goes out. Where it’s out, when it’s estimated to be back on. Awesome website, rates on the other hand….
I was able to set up my account and pay my bill in less than 10 minutes. You have to set up your account on their website. But then you can log in on the app and easily pay your bill.
Seriously so easy and so fast. Had to pay my bill today. Did it at work over lunch break. Didn’t have to answer. Ton of questions, it brought me right to my bill. Poof! Literally done in less than 2 minutes.
The app is easy to use and is not overwhelming with info and tabs and links! It’s very user friendly. I can access my statements and make a payment in a few quick and easy steps. It is much more convenient than the website.
This app makes paying my bill and looking at my ebill so much easier and convenient than getting paper bills or sitting at my desk top computer. Also easy to get outage alerts and other pertinent information. Great App!
I find the app very easy to use. I also want to take this opportunity to say good job overall. We don’t loose power as often as we used to but when we do you get right on it and get it back fast Thank you all
I am normally frugal with my electricity but my furnace broke down & I HAD to borrow 2 space heaters. Last week I used my ‘heat pump’ & it raised my usage extremely high even though I closed off 2 rooms…; thought small heaters would be less expensive but obviously they aren’t. I am 71 & disabled living alone so I need the heat. Sad it’s raising my bill but have no other options.
I love using my CMP app. It makes it so easy to see if I need to make a payment or if I’ve already done so. Let’s me know when an outage is on my street. Let’s me know when it’s restored. Sometimes we are not home and these updates are so beneficial.
Very convenient to use and more easier than using their website but wish they had card payment option instead of having you do it through bank information.
Easy to use/ pay….would like to see options for supply price shopping based on current bill example. The bill is complicated to read, maybe links to a bubble in each section written in simple terms what each charge means.
App works great, had some issues at first however they seems to have streamlined the ones I ran into at-least. Worked great to pay my increasing power bill.
Hey, I have found this app has been a great help at setting up when your money will come out and can pay right on the spot if need be I just used if for the first time and it went very well! Please try out this app and leave a great review for all others to see!
I can see and pay my bill very easily with the app. It also links me to the Outage Site on the web when there is an outage during a storm. It’s everything it is supposed to be.
The app is super easy to navigate. You can change your payment amount, see your bills and payments, and make a payment in no time. Not overly complicated like some apps out there.
I really like the app it works well. You can actually look at your bill like it shows you’re a complete print out of the bill. You can make a payment. You can see the payment history. It’s very simple, I like it.
I really like the new CMP app. It's much easier than getting on the website use to be. I like that you can access every aspect of your bill from this app along with your monthly usage amount.
Cmp app is easy to use and makes payments quick he only drawback is the first month I paid twice because the payment was not reflected on the app and I didn’t want to have a late charge
I love the CMP App both for its simplicity and its rich features. Paying my monthly bill is a snap. Reporting or viewing outages is to do for any area. And viewing my past bills or power usage is very easy to do.
App definitely better over the years. But I ended up paying twice because it didn’t say pending anymore and showed the amount due for a few days. So I paid it again thinking it didn’t go through. It should remove the amount due or continue to say processing.
The CMP app is very user friendly & makes it easy to pay your bill & compare usage to previous year. You can also use it to get information on outages or to report one.
The app makes it very easy to make a payment without waiting on a phone line to speak to a live person. No line no wait means you can get back to your busy day.
This app is great. It lets me pay my CMP bill every time I remember I owe them money. Adding and labeling accounts/payment methods is easy, and it gives you a screenshot to shows when and what you paid. Couldn’t ask for more.
I have found this app very simple and easy to use very simple to navigate and can pay my bill with Ez. I also love getting notifications about outages in my area and storm readiness.
I love the convenience of the pay my bill option but come in guys, what’s with the delivery price hike!! I’ve used the same kilowatt hours as usual, but my bill has tripled!! What’s up?? Are we being punished?
I enjoy the app a whole lot better than calling the customer service to figure things out. Each time I’d call I’d be on hold for 30+ minutes and get transferred at least 3 times
I have this app on my cell phone and my iPad it makes paying my bill very convenient and if for some reason I am out and about I can pay it right from my cell phone

For the first time in my entire life, I can pay my electric bill with just a few tabs of a button, it’s very easy and convenient. I’m very glad they came out with this app.
For the map outages there's no color guide or reference to know what a particular color marker means. I type in the address of concern and all it does is show me a blue marker. What do different colors mean? There's absolutely no guidance. No reference chart. Nothing. It's just a map. App support doesn't do anything. It just opens their website.
I have no idea why it has taken so long for them to get an app, so easy to pay your bill, report and outage and more. Thank you so much. I can not pay my Bill in 2 clicks!
This app makes it very easy to schedule payments and see account history. It is much better than trying to search for the website and enter in information every time I need to make a payment.
I texted “app” to the alerts number, got the download link and downloaded the app in less than 30 seconds. Enabled my fingerprint login in a few more seconds. So so easy!!!! Fastest way to get outage info and view my bill! Thank you CMP!
Since the latest update I’m no longer able to login. There’s a scripting error in the password section. It displays my password in black dots for privacy but also displays the words “Enter password” as well. The log in bar never lights up green indicating it active because of this scripting error. So I can’t login on the app. I even deleted the app and downloaded it again, no luck 🤷🏻♀️
App won’t save my bank account info and they can’t or won’t fix it. I’ve been telling about it through feedback Door 6 months and still it won’t save the info. Otherwise it’s a big improvement over the garbage they had before. Maybe try testing your app before releasing it?
This App really helps keep track of all usage. Very handy and easy to navigate. When there are power outages it provides information of the entire States Towns and Cities.
